[Sarai’s Dorm] Connor blinked. Genius wanted to… train them? It seemed like such a crazy notion. The last thing Connor wanted to do was see Genius as a teacher, and yet… if this was the only way to keep Sarai at the school… “Fine.” Connor agreed in a quiet voice as he stared up at the elder Genie. [Kubo Forest] “No!” Lance reached out and took Chloe’s arm, shaking his head. He was breathing heavy now as he watched the battle happen. “Chloe, this thing, whatever it is… it’s too dangerous for us.” The shadowy creature was slammed by the double-fists and an icy energy spread across it, seemingly freezing it right in place… yet after a moment the ice cracked and the shadow poured out of those cracks, swirling around Kimi as it formed into razor-sharp blades and stabbed at her! |

[Kubo Academy] [Training Ground] It has been some time since Asmer had attacked the academy and came close to succeeding in eliminating a lot of the school population. Since then, the entire academy was roused like an angry nest of ants, the teachers spending more time on increasing the defenses of the school and working with some of the newer students to bring them up to speed in at least basic combat ability. A large fraction of the school classes were cancelled particularly for this reason, and some of the fighter students that participated in the defense of the academy received a well-deserved break. A very needed break too. Lavan, as one of the students who was caught up in the wave of Madness, took a long time to recover from the effects. His body regenerated in just a few hours in the presence of open flame and excess heat, but mental and spiritual damage wasn't as easily solved. The spirit that resided within his own certainly helped in that respect, providing the energy and experience that rebuilt the parts of Lavan's mind and soul that were damaged, but it still took Lavan much longer to recover from those wounds. Which is why he was at the training ground now, going through a breakneck-paced practice routine. He spun and danced here, laying waste to target after target in melee combat as his large fire-shaped dao blades incinerated any target they touched. But that wasn't the only thing he was doing. While he fought, his split his focus and practiced the technique that Suzaku had walked him through time and time again, this time doing so all on his own without guidance. The air around him smelled, tasted and felt of fire, and deep within his own mind's eye Lavan could see it again, that place on the high tower, surrounded by an endless sea of fire. So focused was he on what he was doing that he paid little to no attention to anything else, making approaching him somewhat... Dangerous as he kept utterly destroying the self-rebuilding dummies in the southernmost section of the training grounds. Pivoting on the ball of his left foot, one of the dao blades passed right in front of him, cutting across from lower left to upper right as a dummy was sheared cleanly in half, burnt through completely by the fire. He stepped forward with the other foot, continuing to pivot on the ball of the first as the second blade followed the same trail as the first, laying waste to another dummy. He tucked in his right elbow, forcing the first dao to take a shorter route as he changed its direction, spinning his body around completely and holding the blade perpendicular to his center line, shearing another two incoming dummies. And the last wooden fake came at him from his left, only to detonate magnificently without any warning. "Good. You felt it come within your territory, changed your power, projected it. It was rough, you can do better, but it's an improvement over your previous failure, hatchling. Again! Only on the next wave, don;t use your blades at all. Change the element composition around you and cause each one of them to explode without moving from where you are. If you take a hit, we start over until you can detonate them all before they can approach you." Lavan almost winced at that. It was an unrealistic expectation. He could barely pull off this trick within his "sphere of influence" one out of five times at best, and the dummies were set to come at him in waves of a hundred at a time. As the next wave began and the dummies closed in, swinging with their makeshift wooden weapons, Lavan let out a resigned sigh, focused, and began the new task. This was going to hurt... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Kubo Park] Ras was thinking. So many things have changed recently. Classes were barely operational, combat drills were being performed every morning, and the new students were the focus as every teacher available taught them how to defend themselves in case another attack like Asmer's happened. The boy looked around himself taking in the sight of the park. It had been completely regrown and repaired now, leaving no trace or scar of the events that tore this place apart when Asmer attacked the academy. He could barely remember the events that happened when he was influenced by the Blood, when Madness took over him... But all the other events were burned clear into his mind. Seeing the dead that were brought out of the academy after Asmer's attack. Remembering the visits to the school psychologist for repeated check-ups of mental health and stability. And that battle against Lily... He shuddered, remembering that moment. It felt like so long ago, but it was burned into his mind with a brand that simply wouldn't go away. He remembered the light the girl produced, he remembered fighting against it, he remembered the mad moments and how he almost killed the girl he cared for so much... Unconsciously, his hand clenched as it tried bunching into a fist, forcing the wood of the tree branch he was sitting on to groan as he glared at the place where the crater he caused with his magic used to be. He hated this. He hated how easily he could be influenced by the blood he was born with, by the negative emotions that suffused his heritage. It felt like with every step he took further away from this unwanted ancestry, something dragged him back two steps, ever closer to it despite how he wished to distance himself from it. He let out a long sigh, releasing his grip on the wood under his hand, relaxing slightly. At least now, madness no longer whispered in his mind. The Sea that he dreamed of has suffused him now, and he could hear the call of Disorder instead of the whisperings of madness. But anything was better than that incessant whispering. ------------------------------------------------------------------ [Kubo Hallways] Hiko groaned as he walked down one of Kubo's main halls, a damp towel in his hand that he was using to wipe the sweat off his face and neck. Ever since the end of that attack, he had been summarily assigned to one of the new student training regimes and was forcefully introduced to the basics of combat. Since he was already familiar with the sword and fighting styles, he was quickly tasked by the instructor to help in the teaching of other sword-wielding students. Assisting the teachers was surprisingly hard work. He was finally released from his new duty just a few minutes ago, and he couldn't help but want for a nice, long bath and some rest now. Today was a day of sparring, and he ached all over as the teacher showed over and over how one should fall or where a hit would not be lethal and where it could be taken without permanent consequence. That red-haired bastard Axel sure knew how to push others to the limit. But it was finally over, and Hiko was looking forward to some well-deserved rest... |

[Training Grounds] So that was him. A pair of dark eyes watched from the stands around the training grounds. The solitary, voyeuristic figure was watching Lavan as he trained. She naturally could not hear the internal conversation between the redheaded pyromaniac and the great spirit that inhabited his body – but even just casually watching what was happening in the ring, she could tell that Lavan Razy was no ordinary student. She wondered if he knew she was here? It didn’t matter if he did, though if he was aware, she imagined he would have commented on having an audience. Not that she really cared if he minded the audience. The young woman had jet-black hair and eyes that blazed like thunder. She had been completely and utterly silent, but no more. She suddenly stood up and started closer to the actual training area, but making sure to stay away from the burning sphere of influence. “Excuse me,” She called out. “I take it you’re very busy, but if you get to a stopping point, I’d like a word with you.” |

[Kubo] [Training Grounds] Lavan was well into his third wave by the time someone decided to interrupt him. He was doing good. No, better than good! He was doing fantastic! Well, in his own opinion, but has only been struck seventeen times so far. Sure, it meant that he needed to re-start the waves after they were complete, but it also meant that his attacks no longer has a one-in-five chance of working. Now, it was more like 9 out of 10 chance, and that was such a ridiculous improvement that even he had a hard time believing that the numbers were that few. Or maybe the fact that those damn dummies aimed for the lower regions with every strike had something to do with it... Whatever the case was, he was well into the third wave, detonating the incoming dummies like so much distance bombs when he was called from outside of the training ground by someone. It was such an unexpected interruption that his concentration wavered and his territory slipped. With dummies no longer exploding, they continued to spawn, swarming Lavan without mercy as the red-headed pyro screamed rather comically as the dummies swarmed him from all sides, striking with those wooden limbs at every point they could find. "GAAH! Not the face, not the FA-OW! MY FACE! OW! ACHACHACH STOPPIT! GET-OFF-GET-OFF-GET-... Oh dear god NO! GET AWAY FROM THAT, IT'S SENSITIVE!!!" For a full 30 seconds, Lavan was reduced to just being a Pinata, before finally he just decided to blow everything up at once and a massive explosion eclipsed the view of him and the combat arena. For the next few moments, there was just silence as dust settled and the ground groaned as it repaired itself after the blast, wooden chunks of dummies raining down from where they were sent flying... And finally, Lavan came limping out of the settling dust cloud, covered in bruises and one of his eyes closed and turning a rather magnificent shade of blue. "That. Wasn't. Fun. At all. Owwwwwwwww." He winced, reaching behind him and with a comical grimace yanked, pulling a blood-covered splinter from somewhere behind him before throwing it away. "Not doing that again, I swear." Finally, his attention was drawn to the person who interrupted him, and he grinned, suddenly snapping into a... Completely random salute. "Hihi! You wanted to ask me something?" |

[Training Grounds] The woman with the vibrant golden eyes watched as Lavan was suddenly buried in a barrage of dummies, wooden limbs flying like mad and pelting him all across his form. She raised an eyebrow, suddenly curious if this man could really be the one she had heard about. She watched as the explosion erupted and ripped the dummies into ash and debris, and she rather amusingly took a step to the side as the broken bits of dummy rained down. When the smoke had finally cleared and Lavan turned and saluted her, the woman stepped forward. “You are nothing like what I expected… but then, it has been several years and tastes do change. Ohhh… now this is even more fun than I’d hoped already!” She gave an exuberant smirk and stepped forward, extending a hand towards him. On her wrist were strangely familiar bracelets made of heavy black stone, with small yellow spikes protruding out along the edges. “I have so much I want to ask you. First and foremost; you ARE Lavan Razy, aren’t you?” |

[Kubo] [Training Ground] Lavan finished his salute, hand going down, looking mock-serious as he answered. "Ma'm, yes, ma'm!" He paused, then finally snickered as his entire form slackened into something far more relaxed as he dissolved into helpless giggling, much too amused by his own antics. "Ok, sorry, I can't keep a straight face doing that. I always imagine my grandpa every time I do that, and it's always followed by my dad crying manly tears of pain. Aaaaah, so many memories..." His laughter abated as he stretched a hand out to the girl, grasping hers in a firm grip. "Yep! Lavan Razy, pyromancer extraordinaire, Prank King of Kubo, and a whole list of other titles that includes 'The Menace of all German Toilets Everywhere'. Don't mention that last one around the janitor though, if you don't want to have your head shouted off." Ending the handshake, he brought a hand up to his eye, poking tenderly at the blue bruise. Despite looking roughed up, he certainly didn't look at all down about his current condition. "So, any reason you're looking for me? If it's about a prank you want to do, I'd love to, but I'm currently in the middle of something. If it's about a prank that was done against you, I had nothing to do with it. If it's a prank that you're planning against me, forget it. You REALLY don't want to go down that route. And if it's about the fish incident... I was hungry." |

[Training Grounds] She watched with great amusement at Lavan’s antics. Apparently she found him utterly fascinating and hung on his every word, even raising her eyebrow a few times as if she were curious enough to ask for more information – but always settling down before she could. “Well, Mr. Prank King, you certainly have quite the list of accolades! I’m very impressed – although you left out a few. Such as you are one of Kubo’s Aces, aren’t you? Supposed to be the very strongest students in the school.” She grinned even brighter. “Don’t worry, I’m not here about pranks or fish. I’m actually a new student. Up until yesterday, I was a student at Ohba Academy – but I’ve just transferred to Kubo and I knew I had to meet you.” |

[Kubo] [Training Grounds] Internally, Lavan's mental alarms flashed a few times at the mention of Ohba academy, Kubo's biggest competitor and a place where more questionable techniques were taught as a par of course. He wasn't quite sure about this new person that appeared before him, but she knew a surprisingly large amount about him... Not enough to raise his hackles yet, but enough to get his attention. And her transfer, right after Asmer's attack and during a time when the entire academy was up in arms... Outwardly though, he remained just as amiable as before. "Yeah, I'm an Ace! And normally, I would say that yeah, the Aces are usually some of the top combat-potent ankle-biters in the school. But the cards and suits are more like a big fully-sanctioned and Shinigami-approved club. Those who join the suits do so under the recommendation of instructors, but are not absolutely required to participate, so you may find some even stronger folks around. Maybe. I haven't met anyone outside of the suits yet that match up, but who knows? If weirdos like Ras exist, there's gotta be others." He paused, shook his head, and grinned spreading his arms. "Welcome to Kubo, new student! Glad to have you on board. Don;t mind the havoc going around, we had a bit of trouble with an invasion recently, so don't mind if some people remain guarded. We've had a pretty bad streak of attacks this year, a record amount actually. People attacking KUBO ACADEMY of all places... Crazies, all of them. They keep kicking the hornet's nest and wondering why they get stung afterwards." |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Kubo Courtyard- “Well, he's apparently been in me since I was born, and he hasn't hurt me yet... And he helped out a lot during that Black Blood stuff that happened... Kept me from getting infected,” Galv said to Melanie, thinking it over. He paused for a moment, as if listening to some other voice, then nodded. “He, uhhh... says hello?” Galv added. -Kubo Halls- Edda nodded, rubbing the back of his head. He felt a little worn out now, Sol having taken over. Even when Edda was willing, it was still something of a toll on him, two souls in one body, even briefly. He hoped Genius wouldn't say it was his idea. It was actually Sol's, but he wasn't sure they would all take to that reasoning. Even if Edda did agree with Sol's reasoning... -Outside Gallic's Office- “That depends on what kind of temperament you have,” Maize answered idly, then shrugged, “Alright, we can have a little spar. Not an actual fight, those take time to schedule. And then there'd be an audience...” Students challenging each other to fights happened now and then, both just to see how they could do, to fight a perceived bully, or an attempt to move up in the Fight Club that was in the school. Pretty much any fight that included Nanami, Lavan, Cess, and Sire tended to gain a lot of people watching. The first three because of their skill and known as the 'Aces' of the school, and Sire because most people hoped he'd get hurt. -Kubo Dormitories- “Eh, wouldn't worry about that,” Cess said, “He'll know you're here. As for your schedule, you can probably get it from the counselor, or find it online. What grade are you? Worse comes to worse, just follow other students wearing the same color uniform are you.” Cess was fairly serious about that. -Kubo Park- Assuming Ras has a phone, he'd hear it start to ring... someone was calling... Lily! |

[Training Grounds] She smiled politely as she listened to Lavan. In truth she didn’t know much about the fighting club at Kubo, or most of the students. Her information on most of them was pretty spotty – though she was quite sure she had read something about someone named Ras. She’d find out later – that hardly mattered to her purposes. “So it’s optional? My, my, Kubo is different indeed. At Ohba fight competitions are mandatory. We have a ranking system too, but it’s not all this card based stuff… much more straightforward. Everyone has a number. You have to fight to defend your number and you move up if you defeat someone with a better number. It’s really quite maddening, since fight competitions are allowed and even encouraged between classes, so you really never get a moment’s downtime.” She let out a little laugh. “Can you imagine how crazy it is? There’s always someone attacking you, wanting to move up or just needing a free victory to keep their number. You can’t even go to the bathroom in peace! You really haven’t experienced a fight until you have someone try to stab you on the toilet.” Then her attention shifted, and she looked back at Lavan. “Oh, but I heard about the unfortunate troubles you’ve had here lately. I really can’t imagine such a thing happening. I mean, you expect your life to be in danger at Ohba, but everyone says Kubo is the safest place in Makai, what with Shinigami in charge. How insane do you have to be to pick a fight with him?” As she spoke, the woman took out her cell phone and began texting, but she barely even looked at the screen, still far more interested in Lavan. [Kubo Dormitories] Nanami nodded in agreement with Cess. “Don’t worry, we’ll help you out. You’ll find your classes – although for today you don’t even have to worry since most of the classes are still cancelled, oh hold on…” Her phone was buzzing. Nanami picked it up and swiped the screen, wanting really only to end the vibration. She intended to ignore the text for the moment – until her eyes passed over it and she suddenly went completely silent. “… I don’t mean to be rude, but I have to go.” Nanami said, her voice slightly shaken. She calmly put her phone away and then gave a polite bow to the others, before turning and DASHING off down the hallway as fast as she could move. |

[Kubo] [Training Grounds] Lavan let out a bark of a laugh, motioning to the side and plopping down on one of the benches, pulling a bottle of water out of the bag underneath the bench and drinking down for a moment before resuming conversation, tapping the bench next to him. "Toilet stabbings? Really? Come on, that's just rude. There's a man's rule about that, you know! Never attack a dude when they're taking care of business. It's just bad for everyone, attacker included." Bringing up the water bottle, the redhead took a deep drag of the life-giving liquid, replenishing the reserves he had lost and quenching thirst. Workout got him running. But while he did so, he surreptitiously began to leak out just a tiny amount of his power, again practicing the manifestation of his Territory... "Heh. Kubo has its own share of wannabe top dogs. The Suits have their own tussles internally, and students go up and down ranks all the time. It's not nearly as disruptive as you make Ohba sound though. The teachers here can be pretty strict, and we all want to learn how to be proper Reapers, so all the fighting takes place at times when classes aren't running. It's just easier that way. Less collateral damage too. Quite a few of the Suits wouldn't fit with Ohba's scoring system at all, the darn school would be torn apart in days if that happened. No joke!" He took another swig, leaning back against the wall. "You know, safety seems to be something you make these days. Kubo is known as the safest place because Shinigami-Sama likes to be thorough, and there are so many people willing to fight for it. Even now, it's still one of the safest places out there because of all the talent Kubo has gathered, but folks just don't want to see it that way. I heard there were some kids being pulled out of school by "concerned parents". I am pretty sure that They are making a huge mistake doing that, but... Well, I'm just a student here. It's not like I can set them all on fire for being stupid. Well... I CAN... But it would PROBABLY get me yelled at again." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Kubo Park] A chiming noise alerted Ras that something was happening. He didn't really have a phone, but he certainly had something that could take calls from phones and connected to the network through a bit of creative rune work. His left hand dove into his robe, pulling out a small black sphere that pulsed with each chiming sound, and he tapped the sphere with a finger, letting it light up, displaying the name of the calling person above the sphere in runic script. And as he saw the name, he immediately smiled. "Lily! Hello! I wasn't expecting a call." |

[Training Grounds] The girl flashed a grin as she sat down on the bench beside Lavan. “Oh, you don’t like being yelled at?” She paused, as she turned to look at Lavan with a wicked grin apparent on her face. “That could be a problem; although I don’t quite recall her as the ‘yelling’ type. She was always very quiet…” The air in the training grounds suddenly took on an unexpected chill. The girl stopped talking and then her grin reached maximum levels. “… I don’t want you to get the wrong idea about things. You’re definitely not my type.” Before Lavan could question her strange statement, the girl flung her arms around his neck and pushed him down onto the bench, straddling him as she suddenly shoved her tongue down his throat. And just a few seconds later, the training grounds went from a ‘chilly breeze’ to something more akin to an arctic snowstorm in January. The girl moved fast, jumping away from Lavan just as a blade made entirely of ice swiped by the air where her head had just been milliseconds before. She began an elegant dance of dodging multiple times a second. Her dance partner was a furious-looking Nanami, who had a blade of sheer ice glimmering in each of her hands and was swinging them in pure, unbridled RAGE. It was actually an unusual sight. Nanami was known for being in control at all times. Even when she was angry, she stayed cool and level-headed, always using her brain over her brawns… but right now she was stabbing at the yellow-eyed girl with a blind fury that looked more at place on Sire than Nanami. “Oh I missed this, Nomura-chan!” The yellow-eyed girl called out in a sing-song voice as Nanami came very close to slitting her throat. Just as Nanami’s sword found it’s mark and came down at the yellow-eyed girl, the intended stabbing victim raised her hand and there was a BLINDING flash of light and the sound of an explosion – and Nanami was thrown backwards and hit the ground on her back, skidding across the ground. Both ice blades had been completely shattered. The Ohba girl raised her hands and suddenly several bright glowing balls of green and yellow blazed into the sky around her – and then went sailing at Nanami at incredible speeds. Nanami flicked her wrist and fired a bevy of icicles out of thin air – and as the icicles hit the balls, the latter exploded into blinding lights and thunderous sounds. Lavan would likely recognize the balls as super-heated plasma. There was a massive surge of heat as they went off, constantly at odds with the sheer frigid cold echoing from Nanami’s aura. Nanami charged forward, expertly dodging the plasma balls – and then she jumped into the air, spinning and contorting around to dodge more of them as she came down at the yellow-eyed girl with a glowing frost around her hands; but the yellow-eyed girl suddenly blinked right out of view, disappearing in a flash. Nanami hit the ground and unleashed a massive wave of snow and ice that shot out in every direction, resulting in an enormous patch of frozen ground. Yet the yellow-eyed girl reappeared just behind Nanami and kicked her square in the back, sending her flying into one of the walls of the training grounds. Several balls of plasma flew after her, but Nanami rolled out of the way as they impacted and exploded with enough force to strain the protective barriers meant to keep attacks within the training grounds. Nanami raised her hands and sent a spiraling torrent of water shooting at the other girl – the water twisted around and came to a point, spinning with such speed it resembled a drill. The yellow-eyed girl created a barrier of burning plasma around her as the liquid drill impacted and there was a sound louder than a thousand simultaneous gunshots and a massive explosion of light that sent a shockwave in every direction. When the smoke cleared, Nanami was kneeling on one knee and breathing hard. The other girl was down on both knees and panting. “… Nina.” Nanami finally spoke quietly. “… What the HELL are you doing here?” |

[Training Grounds] Lavan only had time to raise an eyebrow in question and begin a "whu-?" before suddenly he found himself pinned by the girl who busied herself for a moment with trying to pull out his tonsils with her tongue. Ok. Seriously. What? That was the extent of Lavan's thought process. He didn't even quite get to the 'oh crap, I'm being smooched by someone other than Nanami' when his world exploded in ice and Nanami attempted to eviscerate the girl he was having a conversation with just a few seconds ago. A girl who apparently kissed him. A girl who stated that he wasn't her... Type? Oh. Oh. OHHHHH. ... It was actually kinda funny, now that Lavan thought about it. It was a mean as hell prank to play, but it certainly would get a reaction out of the cold girl. Using him as bait, elicit a bit of jealous response, try to get a rise out of Nanami? It would certainly work in normal circumstances, but Lavan figured that Nanami would always be quite abnormal in her reactions. If he found himself kissed by a girl, and Nanami walked in, he was actually expecting murder to be aimed at him, starting with cold fury and cold shoulder tactics. ... Who WAS this girl that could trigger Nanami so thoroughly? All these thoughts flashed through his head as he watched Nanami and the other girl try rather cutthroat attacks against one another, clashing and seperating multiple times as their powers impacted and produced rather colorful light-shows. The battle was too quick and too close for him to really do anything to help... And he knew better than to interrupt Nanami when she was so thoroughly aiming to inflict pain and anguish. So he just sat up on that bench, crossed his legs, put his hands on his knees, grinned and watched. The moment the battle paused, however, Lavan decided to speak up right after Nanami. "Soooooo... I'm guessing you two know each other?" |

[Training Grounds] “Did I not mention that?” Nina asked as she pressed her index finger to her cheek in a mock-innocent pose. For a moment Nanami looked like she was about to dash across the grounds and resume the attack, but Nina merely stood up and brushed off her skirt. “Come on now, Nomura-chan. You got that out of your system and I frenched your boyfriend, so let’s just call this one a draw.” Nanami slowly stood up as well. She looked madder than the time Lavan had dyed her hair pink. Madder than the time she’d caught Sire trying to peek into the girl’s changing room. Madder than the time Butch had eaten her homework while trying to cheat. “Why are you here?” Nanami demanded. “I transferred from Ohba! So now we’re classmates.” Nina replied with an enormous grin, much like the one she had flashed to Lavan before kissing him. “So now we’ll be able to see each other every day! Won’t that be fun?” The expression of utter horror on Nanami’s face was unique. She looked like a red student seeing Shinigami’s full, unbridled wrath. If Nanami had ever looked so horrified before, there was no one at Kubo who could remember it. “You can’t.” “I am.” “This is a bad dream.” “It’s not.” Nina insisted. “Anyway, you’ve gotten a lot stronger than before. You’re still not quite up to my level, of course, but you’re getting there!” Nanami’s eyes flashed and she clenched her fist tight at her side. “Go back to Ohba.” “I really can’t do that.” Nina shrugged her shoulders. “Arrangements have been made, I’m your classmate now. Oh, Nomura-chan, we’re going to have so much fun! Just like when we were kids. Except now…” Her yellow eyes flashed to Lavan. “… Now we have such better toys to play with. I have to admit, he’s starting to grow on me. Maybe if he grows a beard I’ll consider dating him…” “Go back to Ohba.” Nanami repeated yet again. “Aww, you need time to process this. Okay then! I’ll see you around. I want to go see if I can get us assigned as roommates, anyway! Lavan, it was very nice meeting you and making out with you. We’ll have to do the latter again sometime. Bye-Bye!” She waved pleasantly and then turned and started walking back towards the school, whistling a jolly tune. Nanami sat in utter silence beside Lavan, still completely horrorstruck. “… Kill me.” Nanami groaned. |

[Training Grounds] In typical Lavan fashion, he didn't respond as any normal person would. Instead, he just grinned, waving Nina a good-bye as she left. "Catch ya on the flip-side, Crazy Pranking Frenching Girl!" His attention focused back on Nanami again, and his full-on grin slipped to just a small smirk. "Heeeey, Na-chan. You know I can't do that, you're my favorite Na-chan after all. It would take something really, really stupid for me to decide to kill you, and you'd probably do it first to me anyway. So who is that girlie? She seriously got under your skin." While he was still smirking, he was observing Nanami rather carefully, eyes somewhat narrowed and intent. This was the first time he ever saw the girl seriously lose her cool like this. It almost made him feel inadequate, he wanted to be the person to get the most extreme reactions out of Nanami. It was almost personal pride now, what with the time he colored her hair pink. He thought that was the pinnacle of how badly she could react, but apparently he hadn't quite seen everything yet. |
