[Kubo Library]

Of course, Nanami would end up singing at the show, but she couldn’t just come out and agree to it. She just crossed her arms and said nothing to respond to Avril. She was in too much of a normal (for her) mood to be looking forward to a party, or anything else for that matter.

When Solei asked where they should go, Nanami blushed a bit – she had forgotten all about giving Solei a tour of the school. Nanami cleared her throat for a moment and then forced a smile.

“Oh… right. Why don’t we go out to the main grounds?”

[Kubo Roof]

Lance nodded, and he headed back towards his room to get ready too.

[Kubo Arena]

Jason frowned as his attack was blocked. He jumped back, his hands still burning.

“I’M the dumb one? You’re the one who can’t even stop and consider your children’s feelings!”

-Kubo Arena-

Levina moved, faster then Galv earlier, avoiding the blast of shadows and stepping forward quickly, eating up the distance between her and Kanna quickly.

She paused, Kanna turning to deal with Jason. This was a good opportunity to attack, but she just stood there, frowning.

“Yah, kid, go over to the sidelines,” Levina added, nodding her head and frowning, “You don't want to get caught between the two of us...”

-Aboy's Room-

“...It's okay, you don't really know what I'm capable of,” Aboy said, “So no hard feelings there...I don't even know what you were facing either. There's too many unknown factors.”

She sighed, then glanced around the room, almost as if making sure no one was around.

“Well, you know I'm a spell caster,” Aboy said, holding up her book of spells, “I don't really specialize in any particular kind though. I can use offensive, defensive, support, and various other spells. I learned how to do a lot of spells one handed as well, since...”

She paused, then grinned, holding up her right hand. She focused, and in a flash of light, a Keyblade appeared in her hand.

She swung it around a little, showing it off.

“I'm a Keyblade wielder. There's not very many of us left. About fifty years ago something, or someone, wiped out almost all of them. My grandfather avoided it though, and went on to have my mother and her older brother, my uncle. A Keyblade is a powerful and mystical weapon, tied to the wielder's Heart. My uncle can summon multiple Keyblades at once, and use them in battle, for example. I can summon more then one, but I usually just use one to keep my other hand free.

“A Keyblade can channel the wielder's magic or other powers. For example, if the wielder was an Oni, they could channel their elemental powers into them for further effect. Anyone can be a Keyblade wielder, though I'm not sure about Dead Humans, considering how they're passed on. Right now, as far as I know, only Shinigami wield Keyblades, since the only wielders I know who survived from fifty years ago are my family. It's possible there are others, but I haven't met them.”

Aboy let go of the Keyblade, letting it disappear with another flash of light.

“Keyblades are neither good nor evil. They're neutral, working for whoever has the ability to summon them. They also have other properties, such as being able to unlock or lock anything. But not every wielder can do that. For example, I couldn't unlock the barrier to Shinigami-Sama's office with mine. I don't think even my uncle could, and he's the strongest Keyblade wielder around right now, I think...besides perhaps my grandfather...”

Sarai's Dorm Room

Rumi frowned once more, and then slapped Sarai in the back of her head.

"For someone so smart, you sure are dumb sometimes!"

Rumi then jumped at Sarai, glomping her in a bit of a bear hug.

"So what if you just claim you were 'desperate'? That was still you!"

Rumi then let go, aside from once again grabbing a hold of Sarai's arm. This time, however, she wasn't losing grip on Sarai, as she pulled her off her bed, and out of the room, headed towards Connor, whom she then shoved Sarai towards.

"Now just be yourself! That's what Connor wants, anyways!"

Kubo Library

"Okay," Solei answered. Everything was new to her, so really anywhere that they'd go would be nice and interesting to herself.

Though for Avril, she DID know the school...

"Nanami... We already are on the main grounds! And aside from the library and the cafeteria they have in this building, there's nothing else Solei would want to see! Let's check out one of the practice grounds or something, and you can show Solei why she needs to fear you or something! Or maybe check out the fancy dining hall in one of the outlying buildings! The hedge maze could be fun as well, but we can't get lost, or else we won't be able to get shopping before the party tonight!"

Avril just continued to go on and on about the various places they could visit.

Aboy's Room

Aboy's rather scientific sounding analysis seemed to put Damion at ease a bit, about what he said, but he still didn't really like it. He didn't really want to have any secrets, but he didn't want to endanger Aboy, and without having just a tape recording of what he said, he just wasn't sure if anything he said could have been said in a bad way to Aboy.

Then again, without any memories past yesterday, for the most part, he couldn't be sure that Aboy wasn't just secretly lying to him that she didn't know him. ...but why would that even matter to him, or happen? It was just too confusing to think about.

So instead, he listened to what Aboy was saying about this Keyblade stuff... Stuff that actually was quite interesting.

"Whoa! That's pretty cool stuff!" Damion responded to Aboy's presentation.

"So ******! Just how do get to wield one of those Keyblades?!" he then added, quite interested, and quite curious. That one that Aboy had ((that someone should design or something!)) looked like a pretty cool weapon to be able to use, plus it'd be mighty helpful if he ever forgot the keys to his room.

-Aboy's Room-

“...There's two ways someone can wield a Keyblade,” Aboy said to Damion, “The simplest way is to be born into it. If one of your parents can wield a Keyblade, you'll be able to use one too.”

She paused, wondering if she should tell him the other way. After a moment, she decided he might as well.

“The other way is for someone to give you a Keyblade,” Aboy answered, “But it's not that simple. Because Keyblades are connected to the Hearts of the wielder, giving a non user a Keyblade will...sort of connect the two. It's hard to describe. I'm not even sure how, actually... You'd have to talk to my uncle and aunt about more details there, since they're the only two I know who have that connection...”

Aboy frowned, trying to figure out how to explain it better.

“It's not something one does lightly...One has to be very sure they want to be connected to this person. Though, the rules are a little different for family,” Aboy added, “Like if I had a sibling, I could give them a Keyblade to use, but it wouldn't affect us.”

Aboy's Room

"Hmm... So it's like a wedding ring, only fancier and more likely to inflict pain when thrown at someone!" Damion quickly answered to Aboy's extra explanation.

Who knows why he thought about throwing wedding rings at people, though.

"But darn, it's too bad I'm not related to your family, or one of those other Keyblading peoples of the past... That stuff really sounds interesting and cooooooool..."

[Girl’s Dorms Hallway]

Connor was pacing back and forth in the hallway. He wanted to go and check on Sarai, but he could sense her emotions from here and she did not seem to be in a very good mood. Besides, Rumi was in there, and if anyone could help Sarai it was Rumi. They were best friends, for one thing – plus Rumi was pretty good at, well, everything.

When Connor heard the door open he looked up just in time to see Rumi shove Sarai in his direction. He quickly caught her, wrapping his arms around Sarai.

“Um… are you okay?” Connor asked, his voice full of concern.

[Kubo Library]

Nanami frowned at the idea of going to the practice grounds. She was never one to show off what she was capable of. If anything, she preferred to keep her better techniques a secret to as many people as possible; that way she would have an advantage if she ever had to kill them for some reason.

“… I know, why don’t we go look for a location for the party?” Nanami suggested.

“I suppose it's kind of like that...” Aboy nodded to Damion, thinking it over, “Though I would be more likely to marry a guy before giving him a Keyblade...I guess it's just something with my clan. It's hard to get it across to others. Heck, even Hammah is smart enough not to give a crush a Keyblade, and he's a hopeless romantic.”

Well, when he's not being a drama llama.

Or evil.

Or both.

Anyways.

“Hey, maybe if that dinner you owe me is good enough, I'll give you a Keyblade,” Aboy then added, grinning at Damion to let him know she was attempting to joke to lighten the mood.

Girl’s Dorms Hallway

Sarai tried to tell Rumi that being herself obviously hadn't worked in the past but rather than listening the girl tugged her into the hallway where Connor was waiting. Instantly the girl stiffened, wanting to kill her best friend for letting Connor see her like this.

And then with a jolt of motion she was pushed into the boy, landing with a soft thump against his chest. She stood there, shaking for a moment before sneaking a peek at her boyfriend.

"S-Sorry, i'm fine" she said shakily, taking a deep breath....The boy smelled nice..It made her even more tired than she already was....She eventually looked up at him. "I want to talk to you a-alone"

After all Rumi had a habit of hiding in her closets.

Kubo Arena

Kanna looked from Jason to Levina, before turning back to her son "For once i'd have to agree with her....Move so I can rip her face off."

From her spot Melanie couldn't help but to shudder. That was a bit creepy.

[Kubo Arena]

“No! This is ridiculous! I was trying to STOP a fight, I’m not going to let you two tear each other apart! Why the hell are all of you adults so irresponsible!?” Jason shouted, crossing his arms.

He paused… and then shook his head. “Do whatever you want. I’m going to check on the children…” He turned and headed for Melanie.

[Girl’s Dorms Hallway]

Connor looked down at Sarai with a smile. He paused for a moment and shot a look over to Rumi… Sarai had mentioned wanting to talk alone, and he knew that would be hard with Rumi around.

“Okay. Let’s go talk.” Connor’s wings appeared, and he picked Sarai up off the ground and they flew down the hallway. Eventually, they ended up in an empty classroom.

[Empty Classroom]

Connor landed, let go of Sarai, and his wings vanished once again.

“So… let’s talk.” He smiled.

Kubo Arena

There was only one person who could compare to Galv in terms of importance to Melanie, so when Jason came towards them the girl let go of Galv for a moment to rush over to her older brother and hug him tightly.

"She's still mad isn't she?" Melanie said after a moment, peeking past Jason to catch sight of their mom. "Really mad"

Empty Classroom

Sarai held on tightly, allowing Connor to fly them somewhere where hopefully no one would spy. Just to be sure Sarai checked the doors, closed the windows and stuck desks in front of all the closets. When she felt confident they were not being watched the girl moved back to Connor, leaning against a desk.

"F-First off, i'm so sorry for before...I don't want you to think I hate you...I...I..."

Sarai looked down and took a little breath before meeting his eyes "I-I love you. I just kinda fail at showing it...Like all the time"

[Kubo Arena]

Jason nodded, with a frown. He was in a lot of pain, and with the shock of combat wearing off, he realized just how tired he felt. Still, he hugged Melanie and tried not to let the pain show.

“She’s unbelievable,” Jason growled. “That woman is the worst parent on the planet!”

[Empty Classroom]

Connor sighed a little as Sarai had to check the room for any trace of hiding Rumi’s. He was going to have to figure out a way they could be sure they were alone… maybe he could learn a barrier spell? He would look into it later.

Then when she returned, he smiled at her.

“Sarai, I know you love me. I… I do wish you were more comfortable showing it in public, but that doesn’t matter… all that matters is that we have each other.”

Connor gave her a smile, but it DID hurt that she couldn’t be more open.

"I know it doesn't, but I wish that I could at least show how I feel sometimes...I m-mean you're more than worth it..."

She shakily grabbed his hands "You shouldn't have to worry about me when you have s-so many things going on...I want to be able to make you feel better like you do for me every time I freak o-out"

Sarai found her eyes down at she and Connor's hands, swinging them lightly. "I love you...I love you I love you I love you so much...You're so totally out of my league but i''m trying..."

Kubo Arena

Melanie sighed, looking up at Jason "She's not that bad....She's trying isn't she? she just wants to keep us safe right?...."

Why did Melanie defend Kanna (especially when she tried to kill Galv)? Because she's Melanie, and Kanna was their mother...They didn't have a choice

[Empty Classroom]

Connor felt like he was going to cry. He felt bad for Sarai. He wanted to help her, to get her out of her shell, but at this point he wasn’t sure how to do that. He looked down at their joined hands, and then he leaned against her.

“I love you too Sarai, more than I ever imagined… Sarai you’ve helped me more than you know. I couldn’t get through what I’m dealing with now without you…” He leaned closer, and kissed her quickly.

“I’m gonna keep trying too, okay?”

[Kubo Arena]

Jason looked down at Melanie and he glared. Not really at her, but at how much Kanna had her brainwashed.

“Melanie, she IS that bad, and WORSE. That crazy old broad just beat the hell out of a child because you like him. That isn’t how a mother is supposed to be! She’s going to make you as messed up as…”

He paused. He was going to say as messed up as Jason was…

Empty Classroom

Sara's lips tingled a bit and her stomach felt all knotted, but she much preferred this to the usual feeling of wanting to throw up when people looked at her.

The sad part was that she got that same sick feeling even when Connor looked at her sometimes...Like she was being judged and they could see every one of her many many flaws. Like they were tallying up the many reasons she didn't matter. She wished people couldn't see her.

"C-Close your eyes...." she said, moving forward and tightening her grip on his hands. She felt very close to his face...She could feel his breath...It was warm and a bit shaky. Like neither of them knew what they were doing.

Because they totally didn't.

She kissed him.

Kubo Arena

Melanie looked up at Jason with wide eyes, still holding on to him tightly. She really had no experience with family, since her mom and dad hadn't been together since she was a baby....And Kanna was always just Kanna...It was her only idea of a family.

"Don't be too mad at her...It won't solve anything..." she said quietly, looking to the side "It'll just make he more angry anyways...I'll help Galv, and i'll apologize for mom..I'm sure she'll feel sorry later."

No she won't.

[Empty Classroom]

Connor naturally could sense Sarai’s emotions, but not her thoughts or the reasons for her emotions. All he knew was that he wanted desperately to help Sarai feel more confident. He knew that Sarai was an amazing person, and he wanted her to see herself the way that he did.

When she asked him to close his eyes, Connor did so. He was starting to breathe a little harder, and a moment later he felt her initiate the kiss, and he eagerly returned it. Even if they could only kiss like this alone and with his eyes closed, he still liked it.

[Kubo Arena]

“Melanie, you have nothing to apologize for! SHE should be apologizing to you!” Jason shouted, frowning and putting his hands on her shoulders. “A mother should not act her way. Kanna is a horrible parent, and you’re old enough that you need to realize that!”
