[Bowling Alley] Connor frowned and looked over to Sarai. She did not seem like the strongest bowler in the world… but he was going to help her as much as he could! ‘M-Maybe I should just be your cheerleader” I am too sleepy to post another Connor’s BSOD picture. Connor’s brain flashed blue anyway, and his face reddened. “Y-You can bowl!” Connor stammered. “You just need some practice!” Connor was in no condition to bowl with his brain lost in thoughts of Cheerleader Sarai. … What? Yeah Connor’s like a puppy, but he’s still a teenage boy! Cut him some slack. [Beach] Lance wasn’t sure if learning these kinds of things was really a good idea… but for all the awkwardness and uncomfortable moments, he did really like Chloe. He had even opened up to her earlier and told her about his past… at least, part of his past… She was important to him. “I’m trying…” Lance smiled. “I guess we should get back to school and get changed if we’re going to dinner with your dad… I doubt he wants us spending much time together in our bathing suits…” It was a weak attempt at a joke… and Lance worried that it would give her more uncomfortable ideas. |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Endsville Streets- “Oh, go soak your head... the only thing that can be soaked now, actually...” Aboy said to Sire, frowning at him. She then paused, casting a spell, causing a rain cloud to appear over Sire, and rain on him. She then turned back to Damion, satisfied with leaving Sire like that. “I doubt something like this was something that happened to you before you lost your memory...” Aboy said, “So it's probably related to that incident...I'd suggest going to talk to Farnsworth, but I doubt that would be a fruitful use of our time.” She looked down at Damion again, frowning, “I hope you don't get younger though...I don't think we're nearly far enough in our relationship for me to change your diapers.” That was her attempt at a joke. -Melanie's Room- “As long as I'm around, I'll make sure nothing bad happens to you!” Galv said, opening the door to Melanie's dorm room that she shared with other people who I'm too lazy to look up at the moment. He then lead her to the bed, sitting her down on it. “Okay...so...where's the magazine?” Galv then asked, after a moment, trying not to think that he was in a room with Melanie alone. -Nurse's Office- “Lady, I've been living for lives now,” Cess grinned, “Don't remember them all that clearly, or even much at all, but I know I've lived them!” He had gone back to the living world several times before he finally came to Kubo... “Besides, it's not just a first match with Shinigami-Sama. It's a rematch! One I intend to win!” Cess grinned again. -Bowling Alley- “Don't worry Sarai, I'm sure you'll do great! Just focus,” Evelyn said, walking over to them, “The trick is to aim between the front pin, and one of the pins to the side of it! That's the best way to strike them out! Which is good in bowling, but you don't want that in baseball. And you also use much smaller balls in baseball. It'd be silly to use a bowling ball in that...Imagine trying to pitch a bowling ball like a baseball. That'd be really silly!” I'm not sure how Evelyn went off on a tangent like that. |

Bowling Alley "Yeah! What Evelyn's saying is pretty good advice!" Rumi added, as she walked up to the lane. She was followed by a Berbil holding up a fancy bowling ball on a pillow, that also had a beret on top of it. "You also have to roll the ball harder! Just imagine the pins are like someone you hate and want to see have their face bashed in by a bowling ball! Even if you hit off where you want to, you'll knock out a bunch of pins from them bouncing all around!" Rumi then took her ball from the Berbil, placing the beret on the Berbil's head, before making her approach. On her first roll, she knocked down seven pins, leaving three left on the right side of the alley. And on her second, she knocked out the remaining three. "Ehh, that could have went better... Go strike them all down, Connor!!" Meanwhile with the Great Baconators, Chachamaru was having a conversation with one of the other Berbils, while waiting for Edda's shots. Endsville Restaurant Musashi might have acted serious when commenting on the possibilities of a clan of unlucky unkillable waiters, but Shiori still found it a bit humorous, and chuckled slightly. At least until Musashi went into the really serious matters... Shiori sighed, closing her eyes and collecting her thoughts. This was a tough matter for herself, as well, as she wasn't entirely sure how she should feel, herself. "Musashi... I don't want you to have to worry, about me, if that's what you're worried about. We've been friends longer than you've probably been friends with anyone and longer than I've been friends with anyone... Even with how things were a little more distant once we started going to Kubo, I will still always be your friend, no matter what you do, or decide to do. That won't change." She didn't want to bring up Sayuri by name, first because it seemed to cause him a bit more pain, the time she saw him thinking about her for some reason, and also because even though Shiori could certainly see that Sayuri had the better looks and much more carefree personality that fit well with Musashi, it was hard to come up with statements about how "Sayuri's definitely the best for Musashi" when Sayuri was as completely unintelligent as she was. ...and how Shiori herself wasn't sure she could truthfully say aloud that she could fully support him choosing to get really serious about a relationship with Sayuri. Endsville Streets Damion nodded along, as Aboy explained her theory about what was happening. It did seem like asking Farnsworth could have been a smart idea, but it seemed from when he spoke with the Professor earlier, that Farnsworth didn't really want to talk about the exact experiment, probably because the lack of Damion himself knowing of the experimental stuff likely was part of the breadth of the experiment itself. Damion still did not percieve Farnsworth as being the 90% incompetent that he was. “I hope you don't get younger though...I don't think we're nearly far enough in our relationship for me to change your diapers.” Damion laughed a bit at Aboy's joke, partially just from the humor of her attempting to joke, in the first place. "Heheheh! Yeah, that really wouldn't be all that fun for anyone, would it? Anyways, as I was about to say before, we should head off to the library! Smart people usually are floating around places like that, and we could find out some stuff about those memories of mine, as well, from their newspaper archives!" |

[Bowling Alley] Connor paused, thinking about what Rumi had just said. While he had been bowling before, he had never thought about visualizing the pins as someone he didn’t like… it seemed pretty violent, and Connor wasn’t usually a violent person. He paused, as he took his bowling ball and walked to the lane. He paused, looking at the ten pins at the end of the lane… and started to think about Sarai’s siblings… and her dad… and her uncle… “… I think Rumi’s advice is really good.” Connor said to Sarai, and then he tossed the ball and knocked down most of the pins – but one of them was still standing. Of course, it was the one he had imagined was Genius. “ugh…” [Endsville Restaurant] Musashi let out a small sigh and swirling the ice around in his glass with his straw. Having ‘serious’ conversations was always difficult for him. He usually liked to make jokes, or throw insults, or simply swing his swords around and make grunting noises. Unfortunately, none of those things ever worked for an actual serious conversation. Whenever he had to stop and think about how complicated his life was, it suddenly became daunting. He had a secret sibling, he was torn between two women and he had recently killed the school nurse. “… I don’t really deserve a friend like you, though. I mean… I do pretty stupid things a lot… and as much as I’d like to say I won’t again… well… you know me better than that.” He sighed. Life was less complicated last year. The worst thing that had happened when he was a green student was the time he had accidentally burnt down his dorm room… or the time he had challenge Lavan to a duel and ended up with leech wounds… or the time he had accidentally walked into the girl’s locker room, but no one believed it was an accident so he was suspended for a month. “… and yet, even though I know I don’t deserve to have you as a friend… and even though you might stab me for even asking this… I think we should go on a date.” |

Bowling Alley "S-Someone I h-hate?" Sarai thought for a moment, unable to come up with anyone she hated enough to throw a super heavy bowling ball at....Well, there was someone on her mind, but even she wouldn't admit it. She couldn't hate that person, no matter how horrible they were. While she was busy thinking Connor seemed to take his turn, knocking all but one pin in one toss. The girl blinked and then gave a huge smile, pushing her own thoughts away and rushing back to him. "Y-You're so good! H-How did you do that!" -Melanie's Room Melanie thought for a moment before answering "There should be a couple on my bedstand" she said before going silent once more....She then realized she was alone...In a room with her boyfriend. No mom. No dad. No roommates. And she was getting him to read her a magazine? Melanie fell back against her pillows and rubbed at her eyes. She was SO lame. Beach Chloe laughed, taking Lance's arm and giving a nod. "That would probably be for the best." Soon enough they were heading back to school! |

[Kubo Academy] Once the two were back at Kubo, Lance gave a little smile to Chloe before awkwardly shuffling his feet. “Well, I guess I'll go get changed, and then we can head to your dad's...” Lance paused. “Um... I just... even though this is all pretty new and, uh... terrifying for me... I'm glad that I met you, Chloe.” What Lance didn't know was that as he was having a 'moment' with Chloe, a strange small creature was watching them... spying on them... on Pepper's behalf. This dinner was going to be... awkward. [Bowling Alley] Connor blinked and looked over to Sarai. He rubbed the back of his neck and felt his face turning crimson. “Oh... w-well... I just followed Rumi's advice! Rumi's pretty good at giving advice.” Connor sighed, giving a spot of nervous laughter. He did not want to mention that he had imagined the Pins were Sarai's parents and brothers. |

Bowling Alley "Way to go, Connor!" Rumi went to give Connor a high five. "Sooooooooo, who'd you imagine, then?" Rumi always cut straight to the chase. "Oh, and don't leave that last guy hanging, and get him with your next roll!!" Endsville Restaurant With Musashi's words, Shiori's face once more turned more red than a stop light, but she made sure to not look away or anything like that. "You're right that I might stab you... For all this saying you don't deserve a friend like me. If you didn't... then I wouldn't have been to begin with. But I am your friend... So please stop saying that I shouldn't be?" Shiori then wiped her eyes, which were beginning to water. "If you promise me that... I'd be glad to go on a date with you, Musashi." |

[Bowling Alley] Connor paused and gulped as Rumi asked him who he had imagined. He didn't want to say it out-loud – at least not in front of Sarai. “O-Oh, well... you know... just some of the jerks at school...” Connor coughed, trying to hint at Rumi that he didn't want to answer the question. He had no idea if she would get the hint... and even if she did, she might just press the issue anyway. [Endsville Restaurant] As he sat and waited for Shiori to respond, Musashi could not remember the last time he was this nervous. Usually the boy acted purely on impulse so he did not have time to worry about anything. “But I am your friend... So please stop saying that I shouldn't be?” Musashi frowned. “S-Sorry, I just... well, after everything I've put you though...” "If you promise me that... I'd be glad to go on a date with you, Musashi." Musashi blinked. Had he heard her right? He envisioned this whole scenario ending with a drink being thrown in his face – or a sword to his spleen; and instead she had actually said yes? “Really? I mean, that's great! I mean, yeah, of course I promise that, I mean...” Musashi broke off into incoherent rambling. |

Bowling Alley Sarai didn't seem to get that Connor was picturing her family, so she continued to smile, eyes on the last one. "Y-Yeah! You have to get that last one!" she said, agreeing with Rumi. "Take it d-down!" Kubo Academy "I'm really glad I met you too" Chloe said smiling up at the boy, moving in and kissing him quickly, before pushing him back and giving a little laugh "Now go get changed, i'll meet you back here in twenty minutes." she then turned and left, heading back to her own room, quickly going through her closet to find something to wear. While she often worn boyish and strange outfits, she did have some things that made her look very much a girl. |

[Bowling Alley] Connor gave a nervous smiled, and nodded. His ball had returned from the lane by now, so he took it and held onto it. All he had to do was knock down the last pin... Sarai would be happy, and everyone was cheering for him... Connor moved forward and tossed the ball into the lane! It went down... down... down... and barely missed the last pin! Connor sighed and shrugged. “O-Oops, it's been a while since I went bowling...” [Kubo Hallways] Lance smiled to Chloe as she headed back to her room, and he turned down the hall to make his way to his own dorm. He needed to get changed into something nice and try not to worry about dinner with her dad. However, as Lance rounded the corner, he noticed the small creature that had been following them. ![]() Lance blinked at the sight. The creature looked very much unlike anything he had ever seen before. It wasn't a bird, or a bat, and he had no idea what it was. He did notice the camera attached to its head. “H-Hey, what are you? Some new school security system?” Lance asked. It would make sense for Shinigami to make some new security, given that just a day earlier the school had been attacked by demons and the legendary evil Asura had been freed from his subterranean prison. “Heheheh, never you mind who I am, kiddo! You run along...” the small creature chuckled, and then it flew off. “... Weird.” Lance shook his head. |

Bowling Alley "Aww... I hope that wasn't the pin you imagined as Kalyan," commented Rumi on Connor's open frame, but she still threw her hand up to give him a high five. "Great job though on getting a nine, Connor!" she then added, before turning her attention to one of the nearby Berbils. "Mr. Berbil, could you fetch us a light ball for Sarai?" The Berbil Rumi directed her attention to then took a step forward, and saluted Rumi, before rolling into a ball itself, towards the racks of bowling balls. It soon returned, holding a lighter bowling ball than what Sarai had initially rolled. "LIGHT. BALL. FOR. SARAI." the Berbil said to Sarai, as it handed the girl one of the eight pound bowling balls. Endsville Restaurant Shiori smiled, happy that she could make Musashi a little happier. Though what she was going to say next probably was going to stop that somewhat, at the least. "But there is one thing I would want to know..." she then added, looking directly into Musashi's eyes. "You do not need to answer right now, but... ...I just need to know before we could go on that... Just what does Sayuri mean to you right now?" |

[Bowling Alley] Connor flushed as Rumi seemed to figure everything out. He wasn't too surprised that she knew what he was imagining, but he didn't want Sarai to overhear. “Thanks!” Connor said, returning the high five and trying not to admit who he had been imagining. Now one of the robot bears was back, and delivering a new ball for Sarai. Connor walked over to Sarai, deciding it would probably be good to encourage her a bit after her last roll had ended badly. “Don't worry Sarai, I bet you'll knock 'em all down this time!” Connor smiled happily. [Endsville Restaurant] Musashi froze like a deer caught in the headlights. He sat there just staring. The little gerbil on the wheel of his brain had just turned into a tumbleweed and blown away. The boy frowned. Shiori had just brought up the rather obvious elephant in the room. He probably should have expected this to come up, but somehow Musashi was caught completely off guard. “I...” He paused, shaking his head. “... I don't know. When I think about Sayuri now, I'm confused. I can't pretend that I didn't have strong feelings for her... but I also can't say I still have those feelings...” He shook his head. “... I wish I had a better answer... but... I'm not really good with this stuff.” Cheer up, Musashi! You're still better at relationships than Kanna! … Okay that's still sad. |

Bowling Alley Sarai stumbled back from the Berbil a bit, looking down at it but taking the bowling ball none-the-less. She gave a little smile "T-Thanks" she managed, taking the much lighter ball and eying the lane wearily. She still wasn't sure about this, but supposed she owed it to her friends to try again. The girl gave a little breath and tried to focus, staring out and trying to picture someone who she'd actually want to hit with a eight pound bowling ball. Her mother. The thought kept flashing through her brain. She tried to push it away but it was really the only person she could think about...She shouldn't have hated her own mother in such a way but the feeling of resentment was enough to make her toss the ball with enough strength to knock down ALL the pins. "...." the girl blinked, watching as the screen lit up. She felt horrible. Chloe's Room Chloe was quick to get changed, slipping into a short black dress that she had lying around her room. It wasn't often the girl dressed up, but she really did like to. Just because she looked like a boy didn't mean she was one. Quickly the girl rushed over to her mirror, pulling on a pair of earrings and applying a bit of make-up. |

[Bowling Alley] Connor gasped as Sarai went from breaking the lane to getting a strike! Connor had no idea that Sarai was feeling horrible about the pent up aggression about her mom, so he ran over to her and hugged her from behind. “That was incredible, Sarai! Great job!” However, as Connor hugged her, his empathic powers kicked in and he started to feel what she felt... the resentment, and anger and then the general horrible-ness. He frowned and broke off the hugging, walking around to be in front of her. “Sarai? What's wrong?” [Kubo Hallways] Lance had eventually reached his room and, after a few minutes of digging, found some nice clothes to change into. He didn't know what to expect from this dinner, but he knew that Pepper was a famous doctor and that he should probably dress up a bit. When he was satisfied that he had done all he could, Lance headed back out the door and down the hall, towards Chloe's dorm. When he got there, he knocked once, and waited. … and all the while, he was being followed by the strange creature. |

Bowling Alley Sarai stiffened a bit when Connor hugged her from behind, trying to relax but knowing he would feel her uncertainty. “Sarai? What's wrong?” "I-I'm sorry" she mumbled, stepping back and hugging her arms. She felt a little claustrophobic, so she made a move for the bathroom "E-Excuse me" she mumbled. Chloe's Room "Well look at you, clean up good dont'cha?" Chloe smiled, opening her door and leaning on the frame as she looked the boy up and down. "I've gotta say i'm impressed." she added, moving in and kissing him quickly. |
