Kubo Halls "What do you do?" Rumi turned around, not sounding as stern as she was previously, "You trust in the love and friends that Sarai has found and earned outside of just your family." The bespectacled girl then walked back up to Kalyan, and removed the beret from her head. "Believe in Sarai herself. For all of you... There is more to everything than just magic, though I can see why you'd think otherwise, growing up with a genie as a father and little sister. Sarai is living her own life. She is quiet, but she wants to be a little more vocal, and be able to talk with Connor easier. She wants to break out of this shell. She wouldn't push herself so hard to do so, if she didn't want to do so, deep down in her heart." Rumi paused for a moment, with a sigh. "But if I had to make a wild guess, I'd say that in part, she might have a spell on her keeping her quiet, like you say you have on yourself. If she hated all I do to try to help her with that, she definitely would not have stayed friends with me. She is nice, and would probably try to shove aside any and all advice I give in the nicest way possible, but I would like to think I would catch that at least, and realize she didn't want any of my 'help'. It isn't my place to determine for Sarai, if I am her friend. It is Sarai's herself. The same is for Connor, it isn't my true place for me, or him, or any of you all's, to determine that; it is Sarai's herself." The girl then paused again, backing off slightly, before slapping Kalyan in the face... However, it was nowhere near as hard as she probably would have slapped him, even just a couple minutes or so ago, when they were in the closet. "This genie magic stuff isn't what you need to believe in, to help things 'get better', or to function. The use of all this magic to 'protect', or to 'hinder'... It means nothing. What you need to believe in, is your own sister, Sarai. Believe in her, believe in her choices in life. It is there that lies what is your 'true' magic." With that, Rumi closed her eyes, and turned back around away from Kalyan. Upon placing her beret back on her head, she again began to walk off down the halls back towards Sarai's room. |

Shibusen Arch Nanami's instincts proved to be correct. But the scope of the illusion was ENORMOUS. Giriko WASN'T an illusion, no, but the man wasn't attacking Cess either. At the moment, he was shouting something, screaming and waving his hands as though trying to fight off something that was around his head. Lavan wasn't wounded at all, but he was trying to fight against something that wasn't there, maniacal gleam in his eye betraying that he succumbed to Battle Mania. She was not on the ground at all, but in mid-air, posed to strike Cess right in the back of the neck with an ice pick formed from her element. And Cess... Cess was standing in front of the bag with the three eyes drawn on it, the large syringe of black liquid in his hand, stabbed into the bag and injecting the black liquid. This illusion completely screwed with everything. It was almost complete, and as Nanami looked through it, it was like watching events through a red veil. It was the same effect as before, seeing and hearing things that were not there, but on so much larger a scale. Asura's madness was permeating the air. And Nanami's eyes were the only things that saw through it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Medusa's Office Poor Eruka. She managed to ally herself, however temporarily, with THE most destructive spellcaster in school, bar none. Only now she was realizing HOW powerful Lina was as the girl literally tore a hole in what should have been an impenetrable structure with a massive lightning bolt, a hole that tore through the ENTIRE ACADEMY and led all the way down to the depths. As the blast subsided and the debris finished falling, Eruka found herself on her knees on the far side of the room, hyperventilating and looking wild-eyed at Lina. "W-w-w-w-w-w-WHAT THE H-H-HELL WAS TH-THAT???" |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Endsville Streets- “Excuse me...but are you students...? At Kubo...?” A short girl appeared on the streets, in front of Perry, Randall, and Lisa, staring at them with wide eyes. She wore a sweatshirt that was several sizes to large for her, the bottom of it going down to her knees. It was dark gray, in slight contrast to her light gray hair, and pale gray eyes. She seemed...off...Like something wasn't quite right with her. -Kubo Hallways- “Amelie!” A purple haired girl ran down the halls, noticing someone she knew. Evelyn grinned widely, coming to a stop in front of Amelie, “Yay, I found someone! Amelie, do you know what's going on?” -Shibusen Arch- (I have no idea what's happening here, and everything I've posted with Cess before has been ignored...so...yah...) |

Endsville Streets "You ARE a bad joke...", the OH SO LOVELY Lisa thought to herself, in regards to Randall's question. Then suddenly, a strange, short girl appeared in front of them asking if they were Kubo students. Perry answered, "Ya. As a matter of fact, we're headin' back over there, right now. Why do you ask? Are you a student, too?" Kubo Hallways As Amelie walked down the hallways, continuing to be on guard, she heard a familiar voice. “Yay, I found someone!" Amelie blinked and said, "Oh, Evelyn! It's so good to see you're alright!" "Do you know what's going on?” Amelie answered, "Not entirely... but I know it's something big. It's not really safe anywhere, but we should definitely still try to find a place that's safe, if we can!" |

[Shibusen Arch] After this long of peering through the illusion, Nanami's eyes felt like they were burning. Her head was starting to hurt too, and she was sweating. The technique, while powerful, was draining. When she realized she was the one about to stab Cess in the neck, she caused the icicle to turn to harmless water. “Don't die, woman! It won't do either of us any good.” There was that voice. She ignored it for now, and focused on finding the actual Giriko. When she spotted him, she jumped down. By now, her head was throbbing and her eyes hurt worse. Still, she pressed on, dashing towards Giriko and creating another knife of ice in her hand. [Medusa's Office] Lina shrugged her shoulders. “What? You said we needed to get underground! Come on, Scotty! Let's beam down.” [Endsville Streets] Randall stayed quiet as he looked to the new girl, tilting his head. |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Shibusen Arch- Life energy was pouring around Cess, the dead human blocking Giriko's kick with his blade, being pushed back, trying to make sense of everything. Something was...wrong. Cess had years of experience fighting, and his instincts were nagging at him. He needed to figure out what was going on. He reached into his pockets, pulling out a yellow orb, taking a deep breath. “This probably won't last long,” Cess grimaced, then crushed it in his hand. Electricity sparked from the orb, shocking Cess, sending electricity burning through his body. Pain was a good way to break through illusions... -Medusa's Office- Scott just shrugged, then jumped down through the hole... -Kubo Hallways- Evelyn paused, staring at Amelie. “What? Find a safe place?” Evelyn asked, “Don't you want to find out what's happening and stop the bad guys?” She paused again, rubbing her chin, “Is something going on? Hmmmm? Is it that Thunder guy or something? I heard rumors you two were dating now!” Evelyn wasn't that tactful. Ash was wandering the halls, because something bad was happening at the school, and Ash was not bright enough to realize he should find somewhere safe... -Endsville Streets- “No...I'm not a student there...” the girl answered softly, “I'm not good at magic...” The girl stared more intently, walking forward and peering at them. “...You are all good at magic...aren't you...?” |

[Kubo Hallways] As Ash was walking down the hall, a random baby panda bumped into him! “Ouch! Oh, sorry.” Wait that isn't a baby panda at all – it's Yugi Moto! [Endsville Streets] Randall frowned to the girl when she mentioned she wasn't good at magic. “I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe I could tutor you, I'm very good at magic! We could have a tutoring session over dinner.” Randall grinned. |

Kubo Hallways It was clear to Evelyn that Amelie wasn't herself. Heck, it was clear to pretty much anyone that knew her. Amelie sighed and said, "I honestly don't know what's going on between Thunder and I, actually. Things have just been getting so out of hand, lately, and I feel like I don't even have control over my life anymore. Boys were NEVER something I had to think this hard about at all..." Amelie then turned to Evelyn and apologized, "Oh, sorry, I guess I just sorta started dumping all that out on you. I didn't mean to, but this has been on my mind all day." -- Brock was behind Ash and Joey was behind Yugi. Why? Because. Endsville Streets "HOLD ON!!", Lisa loudly stated. "What's with all the questions, anyway, girlie?" Lisa was, understandably, suspicious. For one, she wasn't as trusting of people as Perry and Randall. And this girl was being ESPECIALLY fishy! |

-Kubo Hallways- “Oh...it's you guys...” Ash said, frowning at the YGOA characters, taking a step back, “What you guys doing out in the halls? It's too dangerous right now!” “Don't worry, my voice is a Hall Monitor!” Tristan said jovially. “It's alright!” Evelyn said, shaking her head, “Besides, keeping that kind of stuff bottled up isn't good for you!” The purple haired girl paused, considering Amelie's situation. “Well, all your friends seem to have been hooking up. Sarai's been dating Connor, and I heard that Sayuri got married to some doofus who likes swords,” Evelyn said casually, “Maybe your subconscious is reacting to that! Or maybe this Thunder guy is just new, or something. Didn't you know that Hammah guy for a while before all this happened?” While this was Evelyn's first year at Kubo (having been home schooled before), she absorbed information like a sponge absorbs water. After just a single breath, she continued, “Besides, Thunder's the school doctor's kid! Son of a doctor, not that bad!” She laughed, indicating it was a joke, a bad one though. -Endsville Streets- “No...I can't do magic at all...sometimes other people's magic doesn't work well on me...” the gray haired girl said to Randall, keeping her same emotionless stare. She then turned that stare on Lisa, being quiet. “...My master told me to get information on what's happening...” the girl said, after a moment. |

??? "Actually I know quite a bit about love, and quite a bit about you as well. You're an orphan correct, well ignoring that dinosaur of a grandfather who i'm sure will pass soon enough.Surely you love you mommy and daddy more than my daughter. How about we make a trade? While Sarai as a genie can't bring the dead back to life I know someone who can...Surely you'd want that for them" Sarai's Room "Y-Your dad?" Sarai asked, looking over Edda's shoulder as he dialed the phone. She was unaware of what Edda's father even did for a job. She was much to shy to ask. Hallway Kalyan stood there for a moment, hand on his cheek on the spot where Rumi had hit him. He sighed and stepped back, watching the girl head back. "It's easy to say that magic doesn't matter in all of this" he said quietly, pulling off his glasses and wiping a few smudges. "But when it comes to Sarai it does. She doesn't just have magical abilities ...She IS magic. If it didn't exist she wouldn't either. Ignoring the fact that magic is a part of all of this is ignoring Sarai herself. But I do understand where you're coming from and I appreciate that Sarai has someone thinking of her-even though you have no clue what you're dealing with. I do believe in my little sister, I just don't believe she can handle this without some form of protection. No one is that strong." Kalyan put his glasses back on and looked to the girl. "Oh and one more thing, I don't make it a habit of hitting little girls but if you do that again I will break your arm." Outside Melanie's Room Melanie herd the thump on the door and tried to open it, failing to do so a moment later. She sighed, looking around the room for something that could help her escape...She eyed her window. "Ugggghhh....Too bad I can't just fly out." she muttered through the door. More like, too bad Galv can't fly in and save her. Classroom 56-M And yet we're stuck in here away from all the action" Sophie muttered in a huff, arms crossed over her chest as she sat on one of the desks. Her brother had told them to stay put in effort to keep them safe from all the danger outside. "We can handle ourselves! In fact we could probably take out some of the creeps!" the girl exclaimed, kicking her legs back and forth and looking to Spoony. |

[???] Connor froze. His eyes widened and he could do nothing but swallow as he floated in the emptiness. His… parents? She could actually bring them back? Was that even possible? No, it had to be a lie… but at the same time… if there was even a chance to find them… What was he thinking!? Connor shook his head. He couldn’t just forget about Sarai and allow her and her family to suffer more… but… his parents. Connor had always dreamed of seeing them again. What happened was when he was just a kid, and he hadn’t seen them since… he closed his eyes. “I…I… I c-can’t… I can’t let Sarai down…” Connor gulped, trying his best to maintain some composure. [Kubo Hallways] Yugi rubbed his head as he looked up to Ash. “Oh, it’s you… do you have any idea what’s happening?” Yugi asked. [Endsville Streets] “… Master? Oooh, are you an apprentice? Like a blacksmith’s apprentice?” Randall asked. He now imagined this girl in a small building, trying to shoe a horse. Why? Randall likes to come up with crazy ideas. “… How do you make a horseshoe lucky, anyway?” |

Kubo Halls Sarai's family was certainly a pain, with near all of them but Sarai only choosing to listen and pay attention to only parts of what she says. "UGH!! I didn't say magic didn't have any part of this! I said it's only one aspect of everything, and should not be the sole thing that you all seem to only think about! Even if you're all 'pure embodiments of magic', there are other things that have effects on everyone. If it was, Sarai wouldn't have fallen in love with someone, she wouldn't have friends, and you would have already vaporized me..." Rumi rubbed the temple of her forehead... Soooooo frustrating trying to reasonably reason with these people... |

??? "Oh come now, you should stop to think about yourself for a change...Think about your parents..." Ahara smiled and placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "I may seem selfish but i'm not a liar...I know someone who possesses the magic to bring your parents right back here with you. It's all just a bunch of hard to pronounce magic words after all. " She then stepped back watching the boy's torn confusion. "Tell you what, i'll bring the man who can help you here to prove he can. Then you can make your decision my darling" Kubo Halls "The only reason I haven't vaporized you yet is because my sister somehow seems to regard you as a friend. She has the ability to make friends and form relationships, but that's not what she needs to think about. None of us care about her feelings on that because we're too busy just trying to keep her alive-ugh...Why am I even explaining this to you." Kalyan stepped past the girl, looking back. "My brothers and I need to speak with Shinigami-Sama about all of this. Sarai will stay in her room." |

[???] Quick, somebody turn on the Rumi-signal! Connor was shaking like a leaf. For his entire life, he had wondered about his parents. His grandfather told him some things, but it always seemed like Corwin was hiding something from Connor. Now, he had a chance to actually see them... to meet them, really. They had disappeared when Connor was just six. He had some memories, but they had faded with time. Until this year, Connor never could have imagined hesitating at a chance to find them. … Yet he did hesitate. How could he turn his back on Sarai? Sure, her family had some serious problems, and life had been complicated lately... but he had told Sarai that he loved her... he had turned down wishing for anything for her... how could he throw all of that away now? “I... n-no, stop it... you're trying to trick me like you tricked your own family... just stop it...” Connor was shaking. |

Kubo Halls Kalyan sure was an a**hole. That was about the only thing Rumi could think of at this moment. Sarai's brothers and father couldn't listen, and even when she was trying to be extra understanding to one, they just ignored everything to act like stubborn little five year old boy. Heavens forbid anyone that isn't someone with thy sacred name of "Williams" want to or try to help out their friends. They are just not worthy, as they don't have the magic to help, and don't have the info to help, since anyone who isn't a member of that family are certainly out to get them, let alone the people IN their family. Rumi really felt bad for Sarai; she's a genie born into this family, with everyone trying to handle her with like kid gloves, as though she's more delicate than a fraj-eee-lay leg lamp, and she ends up being the most sane and competent one of the lot of them... But that didn't matter. If Sarai's brothers didn't want her's, or Connor's, or anyone else's help with things, they'd still get it anyways. And Rumi and co.'s help in this would just have to turn out better than those guys' narrow-minded ideas, even if they would not be told a thing about anything, and just would have to guess to help. |
