[Grand Ballroom]

Sama glared at Spoony. He did not realize the boy had been kissing his future daughter, but he did know the boy and his future kids were interrupting a wedding proposal, and he was the easiest target to get mad at.

“... Kinda in the middle of something.” Sama growled through gritted teeth.

[…]

Sire watched as Miki, the stupid under-the-bed-box puppy, tried to kick Jade, his awesome in-the-bed-minx, in the face!

In an instant, Sire jumped at Miki, his hands suddenly on fire as he tried to punch/slash her face!

“NO YOU DON'T MICK! YOU DON'T LAY A FOOT ON MY PRECIOUS JADE!”

Sire fighting for his woman... yeah there's no way that's romantice. especially considering what he'll do to Miki if he wins the fight.

[…]

Jason was so focused on his desire to protect his sister from the virus of Galv that he completely forgot that he had been in a closet with Erin not long ago. He paused and turned bright red, which was not suspicious at all.

“Err... I... um.... the thing about that...”

Think Jason! THINK!

“... I don't know how it happened! You know I've always liked Rina, but when I was at the beach after I got my sight back, I just started flirting with some cute oni girl, I didn't realize it was Erin! Then one thing led to another and we kinda-sorta made out, but I promise my hands didn't wander too much!”

[…]

Serenity blinked.

“I don't know. I mean, there were pillows in these others movies of my brothers... and in this one movie there was a tree, a platypus and some martians... after I watched that movie I went blind.”

[Underground Bunker]

Miyamoto looked to Sharina and let out a large sigh, then he grabbed another cup of punch and downed it, before turning to the last person he ever seemed to turn to at times like this.

“... Say, Megumi, my darling sweetie love of my life? How'd you like to go use the hot tub?”

I would say this was a first, but Musashi is proof it is not.

[…]

Mari, the wife of Giovanni and mother of Nanami, narrowed her eyes at the pair. She did not like them – but she liked no one. If Nanami was the Ice Queen, Mari was the Black-Hearted Empress. She was as cold and calculating as any, and unlike Nanami she did not seem to have any sort of soft spot for anyone.

“... I too would like to speak with you regarding important matters. However, out of courtesy, I must insist you go first. Anything you have to say to us, you can say in front of Kanna. She is a business partner and a family friend.”

[Infirmary]

Musashi felt like the worst kind of person. His stomach was like a black hole eating away any bit of happiness he had ever felt and leaving only a cold, harsh emptiness behind. His heart was like a porcelain doll smashed apart on the jagged rocks of a bad decision.

He had been a bigger fool than he had ever been. He had begged and pleaded with Sayuri to forgive him for not being there when she missed him. It had been so he could protect Shiori... and after he finally convinced her for a second chance, she had caught him kissing Shiori in the middle of what was supposed to be their date.

Of course, Musashi loved Sayuri. He had ever since the Chuunin exams! While it was true he had harbored a crush on Shiori in the past, his whirlwind romance with Sayuri had been a feeling like no other. Although he was young and stupid, Musashi indeed wanted to be with Sayuri for the rest of their immortal lives.

All he had meant was for one token of affection for his best friend. He wanted to show Shiori that she mattered deeply to him, and to try to ease the heart he was breaking. It had been a kind of love driving that kiss, but the kind that extends between two truly close friends.

Now, as he saw Sayuri throw down her bunny ears and her wedding ring, he knew he had lost the other kind of love. The one-in-a-million kind of love that could spring up in an instant and last for eternity. Musashi knew that that was the kind of love he had with Sayuri, and now it was lost.

As Sayuri ran away, Shiori muttered weakly, and Musashi shook his head.

“No... this isn't your fault. Shiori, please don't blame yourself for any of this... I'm the idiot. I should have seen how you felt... I never should have gotten married without telling my best friend... I've been a jerk to you, and a jerk to Sayuri, and I don't deserve anything but contempt and hatred from both of you!”

Musashi's eyes were watering now, and he approached Shiori and lifted her up, setting her back down on her bed.

“I'm sorry... I'm so sorry for everything... it's so unfair of me to ask, but don't hate me Shiori...”

He shook his head. “I... I have to go... I have to fix this... I can't but I have to try...”

Musashi started towards the door, but paused, and bent down to pick up the bunny ears and the ring. He had not left the room yet, though.

“Float, you say?” Lily smiled, her wings fluttering slightly, her entire body becoming lighter as she lifted herself up a little, moving with Ras as the music swayed.

“I realize this might be cheating...but one should use their natural abilities to their fullest, no?” Lily said, as she and Ras danced.

"You generally want to flow from move to move. Sure, some must be jerky, but all motion must remain almost continuous. If you keep that in mind, I have no doubt that you would become an EXCELLENT dancer!"

“And I have no doubt that with you teaching me, I'll become an excellent dancer,” Lily added, “You really are something else Ras...and I mean that in a good way.”

It was quiet, despite the music.

Galv was quiet. Walter was quiet.

“...What.” Walter said, his question to the point where he didn't even need a question mark.

“WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY SISTER?!” Walter yelled, grabbing Jason and shaking him.

Tristan simply had no idea what Serenity was talking about.

“My voice will help you see!” Tristan said simply, his brain simply bypassing everything (as per usual), and took Serenity's hands, “My voice says we should tango!”

Tristan suddenly had a rose in his mouth.

As Sire shouted a war cry, the boy was suddenly grabbed by one arm and swung about, stomach-first into a rather bony knee. The knee retracted, revealing that the boy who attacked Sire was an immaculately-dressed boy who was back into his usual calm, straight-up stance.

He was dressed up as Shinigami-Sama, and was looking at Sire with a rather hard pair of yellow eyes.

"Attacking students again, Si'? Looks like you haven't changed for the better after all. Father must be disappointed in you."

He sighed.

"Still, resorting to attacking smaller children this time, brother? I did not think even you could stoop so low."

Death the Kid finally found who he was looking for. And he WASN'T happy.

[---]

Ras just grinned at the girl in return, raising one hand and letting her momentum continue so she could twirl under it as he lowered the hand, placing a hand on the girl's back as she finished the spin, and reversed the twirl, ending them in their previous dancing position again.

"Thank you. It's not often that I get complimented, especially like this. Most other students tend to keep away and see me as... Well..."

He chuckled a bit.

"A stuck-up snob. Do I really appear like that at first glance?"

Sharina just smiled at the president, gave a curtsey, and turned her attention back to Kanis, who has taken over talking to Giovanni and Mari.

Kanis, in the meanwhile, continued.

"Very well. I would like to extend an invitation for Nanami, and your family to a dinner at our house. We wish to formally meet the people that have raised such an upstanding girl of society as Nanami. Lady Kanna, the invitation extends to you as well, but it is no obligation."

He looked quite seriously at Giovanni and Mari.

"I have seen your daughter previously today. And I would not have been able to pick up on the signs unless I have already seen them before. The girl is glowing wit power, and I am sure you are already aware of what exactly that is supposed to mean. However, this also concerns our son, since he is your daughter's usual teammate... And has a very similar "condition" to your daughter, though his signs have been showing for a longer amount of time, though never fully manifested."

It was quiet, despite the music.

Galv was quiet. Walter was quiet.

Jason was quiet, aside from some nervous chucking.

Then Walter was shaking Jason rather hard. His head was spinning.

“Aggggah! Nothing! I swear... we just made out a little! She came onto meeee!”

That would be REALLY helpful Jason. You're a big brother, use your brain!

[…]

Serenity gasped as Tristian took her hands, and she began to tango with him.

“Look big brother, I'm dancing with Tristian! We can tango, and then we can do those dances from your movies!”

Joey rage attack in 3...2...

[…]

Sire was suddenly stopped in mid-attack. He hated that more than anything. To be deflect, or blocked, or counter-attacked, or avoided were all a frustration that enhanced his rage and his battle experience. To be stopped dead from every reaching his enemy was a unbearable annoyance.

He was soon hit with a knee, one he had felt many times before. Luckily as was usual with Sire, beneath his doctor's robe of a costume he was wearing a thick, magical suit of armor that protected him from most attacks.

Sire dusted himself off at looked at Death The Kid, who was dressed as their father.

“... Heh. Like you'd know what it's like to have the old man disappointed in you. You have your head so far up his ass, even Sama must be jealous. Out of the way, brother, or I'll filet you and serve you to the reddies.”

[Underground Bunker]

A dinner invitation was a simple matter, and one Giovanni was thrilled to accept instantly. The man was a lover of the finer things in life, and he knew how to be subtle and sophisticated.

Then Kanis dropped a bombshell. They knew of Nanami's 'power', and indicated that Lavan had a similar 'gift'. The two exchanged glanced, and then Giovanni frowned.

“... I see... interesting... yes, if this is indeed the case, then we really should have a very thorough discussion... over dinner.” Giovanni nodded.

“... Too many eyes and ears here.” Mari agreed.

“Hmmmm...” Lily said, a mischievous smirk on her face, as she danced with Ras, trying to figure out how to best respond to his question.

“You're one of a kind at Kubo, you're part of many activities, you're rich, I believe, quite a good fighter, very skilled, and two of your best friends are Aces...” Lily said, then leaned forward, giving the Devilkin a quick kiss, “Honestly, I'm not sure why no one snagged you up before me.”

Yay, flirting with evil intentions...wait...

Walter shook, but let go of Jason, glaring at his friend.

“Erin...does do that...” he muttered, though he was still angry, “You promise me nothing bad happened?

The air was quite cold now.

“I will have to see these videos!” Tristan declared, “Perhaps they are on YouTomb!”

“Hey, Evelyn! Errr...I mean, yargh, Evelyn!” Edda the pirate said, as the purple haired girl appeared at the party, dressed in a lab coat, as a scientist!

“Nice costume,” Evelyn smirked, and looked from Edda and Paul, “A pirate and a ninja?”

“Yah, we do this every year,” Edda said, “Ever since we were little.”

“I like it,” Evelyn said, “Ohhh, snacks! Excuse me!”

She disappeared into the crowd, towards the snack table, and Paul turned to Edda, a smirk under his ninja garb.

“You seem to really like that girl...Don't you barely know her?” Paul asked, hands moving, raising an eyebrow.

“Hey...she's cute...Besides, not like I'm going to marry her in some kind of drunken wedding,” Edda countered. “Do you know anyone you might like to know better?”

Paul frowned, but knew he couldn't hide something from his best friend. He nodded.

“Really? Who?” Edda asked.

Paul told him.

“Really? Her?” Edda said, amused, a smirk on his face, “Well, I don't see her at this party.”

Paul sighed, and pointed her out.

“...All I see is Lavan talking with a girl in a Haruhi outfit...” Edda muttered. Paul whacked him up the side of his head.

“...oh! I didn't recognize her without her beret,” Edda said, “But really...her?”

If Rumi could hear, Edda would probably be getting a Haruhi stare like Lavan was.

"Hm..." Shimera looked to the ceiling a bit to think. "Oh, yes! I remember! I didn't join because I don't really fight that much. But it's impressive to hear you're in that!" she exclaimed.

"You must be an excellent fighter!"

---

Xelnea looked over to the snack bar. "I think the food over there is just fine for now. Let's just dance!"

---

KxS danced with Nevex, though clumsily. Oh, if only this were a square-dance...

---

Tinman was having a blast, dancing on his own. Though, because he was under a large, blue box, his legs were the freest of body parts. His arms were dangling stiffly from the arm-holes he put in the sides of his box.

"Wooo, dancing TARDIS!"

Miki scowled. "Ahh, I coulda taken him!" She spat, crossing her arms.

Having gotten over the weirdness of Sire defending Jade in a manner that resembled, like, I dunno, someone who actually maybe cared about someone else, Miki realized she still had Jade to deal with!

"So you up to fighting me for real, Jade?!" Miki asked, holding up her fists. "Or are you too chicken to take me on without your over-sized boy toy to defend you!?"

"The hot tub is being cleaned, dear," Megumi reminded Miyamoto in her kindest voice. "Thoroughly. Probably from the last time you used it So we can't go in until they're done cleaning."

"I can't ever hate you, Musashi..." Shiori made sure to look at him as she said this, so he knew she was sincere. "...and I don't think she could, either..." She paused once more.

"...I'm sorry I can't help you right now, and I'm sorry that I caused this all... But... ...everything will end up OK, so please don't worry..."

She gave a weak smile; she owed him that...

Rumi quickly accepted Lavan's response, mostly because she was just trying to give him a bit of a hard time.

"Yes they are!" Rumi answered excitedly. "They've even kissed a few times, too! Isn't that adorable-OH CRAP!!"

It may have taken a little time, but she finally noticed that Sarai had been attacked by an Elmo head and a whole lot of punch had spilled on her.

"Umm, hold on a second?" Rumi told Lavan, before helping dispose of the Elmo head by pulling it off of Sarai's head, and kicking it far away, where it'll probably hit someone who deserves to get hit.

Jason gulped and shook his head vehemently.

“I promise! I didn't do anything! Nothing I wouldn't do if it had been Rina in that closet!”

Jason does not know when to shut up, does he?

[…]

“... I doubt that kind of movie is on YouTomb, Tristan. Though if you really want to see it, you can; after I get my DVDs back from Joey!”

Yami was now standing next to the group, his arms crossed. “By the way, Joey wants to get froggy with your sister, Tristan.”

Yami is a jerk. Also apparently he doesn't know his friends well enough to tell them apart.

[Underground Bunker]

Miyamoto let out a small sigh as Megumi's sweet voice hit him like a ton of sweet bricks. He sighed and guzzled down some more of the double-spiked punch.

Then, she offered him pie.

“... I always love your pie, darling.” Miyamoto grinned.

[Infirmary]

Musashi paused as he locked eyes with Shiori. He did see the sincerity in her eyes, and he quickly shook his head.

“... None of this is your fault.”

He rubbed the back of his neck, and returned her weak smile with one of his own. “... Thank you. I... I really hope you and I will be okay... and Shiori...”

He paused. “... I'm glad you told me. I know it was hard, but... at least we both know the truth. You'll always be my best friend...”

His eyes seemed wet with tears, and he turned to the door. “... I have to go. I'm sorry. I'll check on you later.”

He waved and pushed the door open. He had to find Sayuri.

Outside Kubo

In the time it took Musashi and Shiori to finish up their conversation, Sayuri had managed to run back to her dorm, change into some normal clothes, and run back out to the front of the school.

She had to get out of here. She had to get away from this school. She couldn't go back to the party-- she couldn't go anywhere with people. She had to find a secluded place, with no classmates, no random on-looking strangers, and no Musashi.

Even if she knew where this special isolated place was located, how would she get there? Sayuri couldn't drive (and the state probably wouldn't let her if she tried to), and her phone was losing charge, so making a portal probably wouldn't work.

Though her eyes had become cloudy and sore from fighting off tears, Sayuri spotted a small orange bike, just big enough for a teenage girl to ride. She ran over to it and proceeded to steal borrow it. She was sure the owner wouldn't mind.

She still wasn't sure where she was going, but at least the bike enabled her to get away, hopefully before anyone saw her. She just kept pedaling, occasionally turn down a random street.

The Beach

Sayuri eventually ended up at the beach at the edge of Endsville. It was the same beach the students of Kubo had visited for their school field trip earlier that week. She figured this was the perfect place to hide, since no one was at the beach at this time of night.

She abandoned the bike (eh, no one'll miss it) and found a place near the water to sit. Finally alone, Sayuri gave up trying to stay calm and wept obnoxiously loud.

Underground Bunker

"Pie makes everything better," Megumi assured her husband, covering the baked treat with whipped cream.

On the other side of the room, Parnel was staring daggers at the happily(?) married couple.

[Kubo Hallways]

Musashi walked out of the infirmary and started running down the halls, looking for any chance to find Sayuri. It had been a while since she ran out, and he had no idea where she might have gone to.

His first thought was to dart back to her dorm room. He ran up the stairs, crossed halls and soon arrived at the Girl's Dorms, but after a few unanswered knocks (and kicking down the door) Musashi found no one in the dorm Sayuri shared with Amelie and Sarai.

He frowned and walked over, sitting on her bed and closing his eyes.

“... Sayuri...”

He dropped the bunny ears on her pillow, and then wiped away a few of his tears. He hoped that she would find them and know he had been here looking for her (the broken down door was also a clue). He lingered for a moment, in the hopes that she would emerge from her closet or come walking into the room, but when she did not he rose and hurried from the room.

Back into the hallways Musashi ran, this time heading to the portals at the front gate.

[Grand Ballroom]

Musashi reappeared in the grand ballroom, and quickly set about looking for Sayuri.

“SAYURI!?” He asked, but found only Rumi, Lavan, Connor and Sarai.

He ran off.

“SAYURI!?” This time it was just Sophie, Spoony and Joshua interrupting Sama's wedding proposal to Crystal.

He ran off.

“SAYURI!!??!?!” This time he was face to face with Butch, who was chewing on his own foot for some reason. Musashi was so frustrated by this point that he punched Butch hard enough to send the bulldog's foot down his throat.

Musashi slumped against the stage and began to cry. The son of Miyamoto, the host of the party, and he was broken down in tears in full view of his peers. Musashi, the epitome of everything cool, and he no longer cared.

“... Sayuri... this is all my fault... I was a jerk to you, and to Shiori... I don't deserve happiness...”

[Underground Bunker]

Miyamoto began to drool.

“Pie does make everything better. Anyone who is sad or upset should be sure to get pie.” Miyamoto had no idea that his son was basically going through hell at the moment above him.

He paused as he felt daggers starred into him, and cast a glance at Parnel. He tensed up.

Lavan watched in amusement as Rumi shot towards Sarai, trying to help the girl. Poor Sarai must have had one of her worst nights tonight... Lavan just couldn't help but shake his head in amusement seeing the Elmo.

The girl looked like she went through a warzone.

Rumi managed to grab the Elmo off of Sarai, and kicked it. Hard. The Elmo flew through the air, heading right towards Lavan, who shot Rumi a questioning look before spinning around and kicking the Elmo hard towards the side, sending it flying at Sire, who was currently preoccupied by Death the Kid.

Then, his attention was drawn away by Musashi, who appeared out of nowhere and seemed to be shouting for his girlfriend. He looked almost hysterical, jumping all over the place almost like Lavan himself, shouting out for the girl...

Before collapsing into tears on the stage.

... Well, that was new.

For as long as Lavan knew his friend (one who he could almost call his best buddy), Musashi never cried and always appeared to be a cool and collected kid, one who was sure of himself. It's why the two got along so well: both had similar dreams of greatness. But NEVER did Lavan ever see Musashi cry.

To do so in public was unthinkable. And Lavan just couldn't ignore a friend in need.

He disappeared, appearing on the stage a second later in a massive blast of fire, coming into being right next to Musashi. Lavan then grabbed the boy by the neckline of his shirt and disappeared in another blast of fire, appearing on...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over Office Roof

... The very top part of the Over Office, right next to the base of the massive flagpole. There, Lavan released Musashi and dropped next to him, taking a seat, and kicking one leg over the other as he leaned back against the flagpole.

"Alight. You're blubbering and crying a river, and something big happened. So instead of moping like a loser, I want you to sit back, look up at the night sky and do one of two things. One, you can think about what happened and figure out a solution or TWO, you can tell me and I can see what I can help you with."

Lavan put a hand up.

"Or you can continue to cry the night away without doing anything and possibly miss something else that ma be important. So. Wanna share why you ran shouting your girl's name into the public in the ballroom, and ended up on the stage in tears?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grand Ballroom

Back in the ballroom, Death the Kid was facing off against one of his brothers.

"I see that age hasn't taught you neither restraint nor manners. I have no fear of father being disappointed in me at all, since I am already well on my way to becoming the next High Shinigami and taking over from father."

He didn't seem to care that Sire was right now in a very confrontational, hostile mood.

"And yet, I do not see the other of our trio. Where is Sama?"

[---]

Ras chuckled.

"It may be because of the way I appear to be to others. Even that girl, Lina Inverse, has told me up-front that I look like a rather stuck-up jerk that simply brushes people away. And while I try not to appear as such, it seems as though I do indeed appear aloof most of the time."

He sighed, continuing to dance, though he didn't appear to be sad much. The moment was too happy for him to get sad over such small things as public opinion.

"And truthfully, I wasn't looking for a girlfriend when I befriended you. I was just looking for someone I could have a nice conversation with. You, Lily, turned out to be that and much more. You turned out to be someone I could trust. Someone I COULD have for a girlfriend. Someone who isn't afraid and could back me up in a fight if necessary."

He shrugged, smiling lightly now at the girl.

"It's why I relented and accepted the situation. I just like you, Lily. There really wasn't anyone else that would do the same."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Underground Bunker

Kanis nodded happily, smiling at Giovanni.

"Then, as I spoke before, you are invited to a formal dinner at the Razy residence. I can assure you that we have much to talk about, and while some things may not... "Please" you, there are others you might wish to consider."

Sharina just sighed as her husband played with words. While she was a rather straightforward person, something Lavan seemed to pick up from her, Kanis was a tricky and slimy bastard when he wanted to be. The man's proficiency with words and tricks of language were legendary in various courts.

She always preferred to straight of an approach, which is why Kanis was doing the speaking.

But that meant she grew bored easily. So it was tome to find new entertainment. Maybe she could find someone to kick the crap out of... Or find something to burn. THAT would definitely brighten her day.

She picked up a glass of punch from a nearby serving tray and sipped at it, smirking lightly as a feeling of warmth settled in her stomach. Like Lavan and all other Efreeti, she was immune to the effects of alcohol due to her organism's property of burning it once it entered her system.

Leaning over, she whispered to Kanis, who gave a barely perceptible nod of confirmation that he already knew, and split away from him, heading across to one of her female friends, Megumi.

"Ah! Megumi! Good to see you are still healthy!"

[Over Office Roof]

Musashi had been taken in a flash of flames and deposited on the roof of his house. He sighed and leaned back to look at the stars even before Lavan told him too. He sighed and crossed his hands across his chest, his eyes still freely flowing.

“... I messed up is what happened. I forgot to go visit Shiori in the infirmary because I was so preoccupied by trying to get Sayuri to stop being mad at me for the other day, when I didn't call her because we were in Lavender... so I went to go visit Shiori, and... oi, she tells me she's been in love with me, Lavan!”

He sat up. “Ah... and I should have seen it! Heck, you KNOW I used to have such a crush on her... but this year I met Sayuri and things moved so fast and... I fell in love with Sayuri. I can't even describe how much she means to me... but Shiori was so sad, and seemed so frustrated... I tried letting her down easy so she wouldn't hate me...”

He wiped his eyes. “... So, you know, as a way of showing her that she IS important to me, I kissed her. I mean... she said she loved me, and there's no way I can give her what she wants, but I thought maybe just one kiss would, like, let her have a way to move on or something...”

He sighed. “... But Sayuri walked in right then! She saw me kiss Shiori, and she freaked out... before I could even explain, she threw down her wedding ring and ran off... I... I had to stay and make sure Shiori was okay, but then I went to chase Sayuri and try to explain, to try to save my marriage – AGAIN – and... and I can't find her anywhere! She's not here and she's not at Kubo and she probably HATES me and...”

Musashi shook his head. “Look at me, Lavan! I'm blubbering like a kid... but that's how much this means to me... Sayuri, I really DO love her... like I never thought I ever could love anyone. If I lost her... I don't know what I'd do... but Shiori has been my friend for years – she was my FIRST friend. Before I knew you, before I knew Lil' Spoony, before I knew anyone... and I know I hurt her tonight... I guess I've hurt her a LOT and not realized it... I couldn't just rush after Sayuri and leave Shiori behind again... but now I don't know if I'll be able to find Sayuri at all...”

He closed his eyes. “... I just need to find Sayuri... I need her to forgive me... and if she can't, I at least need to explain... I can't just lose the love of my life without a fight!”

“You? Take the old man's place? PLEASE. You'd waste the school's entire budget making sure the napkins in the cafeteria match!” Sire sneered as he flexed his metal gauntlet-covered fingers menacingly.

Sire hated his brothers. He hated his twin because Sama ruined his face and sometimes people who didn't know them well mistook Sire for Sama. (That hadn't happened much since Sire's eyes got the hamburger juice treatment).

Yet for all his hatred of Sama, he hated Death the Kid more.

“As for our ever-idiotic brother... I don't know. I haven't seen him. I don't WANT to see him. I hope he slipped on some punch and broke his ass. And his neck. And his spleen.”

[…]

Sama was still on one knee, watching his future kids and Spoony, as he waited for Crystal's answer.

Giovanni nodded to Kanis. He didn't mind the man's playing with words. Giovanni was used to Kanna, Rica and the rest of the mafia – he ended up going through a lot of word play as it was.

“I accept your offer, and I look forward to it sir.” Giovanni shook his hand and gave a rather devious smirk. “... If I may say, whatever reservations about it I may have aside, I do find it rather hilarious that our children have formed a relationship.”

Kanis Razy was a Prosecutor; one of the most famous in all of Makai. Giovanni was a reputed Mafioso. While there was never any proof that he was involved in anything illegal, he was considered a very dangerous man and most legitimate causes steered clear of him... with the odd exceptions of Kubo Academy, and President Miyamoto's administration.

Mari merely rolled her eyes.

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Grand Ballroom

Sophie slapped her hands over her mouth and backed up with an embarrassed look on her face. She looked from Sama to Crystal (both looking a good deal peeved)

"Perhaps you guys should go dance....Somewhere else? Away from here?" Crystal asked, hands on her hips.

"Oh! Sorry Mo-" she paused, frantically correcting herself as she re-grabbed Spoony's arm. "MA'M! Sorry ma'm! We'll just back away slowly back into the party..." she looked to Joshua as well, motioning him to follow "Come on Spoony and Josh! Oh and remember you too...POOF!"

With that Sophie rushed back into the party room, before letting out a long sweet sigh.

"Hooooooow romantic!" she then looked to her brother, a bit worried "She is gonna say yes isn't she?"

Poor Spoony was probably so confused.

[...]

When their children and Spoony (who Crystal wasn't sure what to think of) left the balcony Crystal went back to the momentus occasion at hand....Speaking of her hand, she looked down at it.

Sama wanted her to marry him....Wooooow. That was BIG.

"Are you sure you want to marry me, crazy psycho sister and all?" she asked since if he was going to marry her Jade would probably not take it lightly.

[...]

Jade was now sitting on the punch table watching the fight between Sire and Miki, somehow finding popcorn to munch on.

Then a strange costumed figure came and knocked him on his butt. Jade took noticed.

"Brother?" she asked, eyebrow raised. She was about to move to speak with the strange figure when Miki rushed up to her and demanded a fight.

"Oh shoo fly don't bother me" the girl said, sidestepping the tiny girl. "It looks like my darling has another sibling I can play with."

Miki probably wouldn't take that though.

[...]

“... We can use my private bedroom.”

"Yes please"

Poor Sarai was a literal and fugurative mess. The poor girl was shivering in a bunny suit, covered in punch, and looking as if she had just seen a baby kitten die. She looked to Connor and Rumi for a second before her eyes went to the floor.

"I'm s-s-sorry....I'm so clumsy...I made such a mess..." she scrambled forward to grab some napkins and clean the mess.

[...]

"....What did you just say?"

An ominous voice could be heard from behind Jason....The voice of death and doom...Was currently wearing a detective costume and covered in fake (?) blood.

Which was red.
Like her hair.

Poor Jason, Rina had just overheard his conversation.

"Hi Rina!" Melanie said happily. Without looking Rina gave a wave, eyes still locked on the poor raven-haired target which was the eldest Narroh.

Kanna eyed Kanis, arms crossed and looking deadly. "Why listen to anything they have to say? They're probably dirty little heathens after all"

As charming as that sound, she didn't say it because she didn't want to hear what they had to say...She just assumed it was probably stupid.

When she was given an invitation she pondered it....She did like affairs in which she could get a nice drink and dress up a bit. She owned quite a bit of expensive jewelry after all....Not to mention Kanna was intrigued by the reason for the get together.

"Congratulations, you proved me wrong. Your words aren't utter crap. I would be pleased to attend as well."

This was Kanna trying to be charming.

[...]

"Is this literal or innuendo pie?" Rose asked suddenly with a little hiccup. "Because now i'm hungry! Oh and thirsty! Darling can you get me some more punch? I'm positively parched"

"Besides other things" Alice observed

The Crazy One

[Grand Ballroom]

Joshua frowned as their mother glared daggers at them. Soon Sophie had dragged the trio away from the balcony, leaving the lovebirds alone once more. He quickly turned to Sophie and narrowed his eyes.

“... WHAT. DID. YOU. DO?” Josh demanded, knowing this had to somehow be her doing.

[…]

Sama rubbed his neck. His romantic proposal had been completely overshadowed by the interruption of their kids, and that Spoony kid, who he would have to keep away from his future daughter.

Then again, if he Crystal didn't agree, that might not be an issue since his chances of a future daughter would suddenly go very down. He turned back to her, and saw that she was taking this seriously.

“Of course I do! I LOVE you, Crystal! And anyway, we're going to graduate soon, and if we get married after we graduate, we can get some nice trendy apartment and buy a reeeeally nice lock and keep our siblings out of our lives forever!”

He paused. “Besides... even if I had to put up with Jade AND Sire every day for the rest of my life... if it meant I got to spend my life with you, it'd be worth it.”

Sama had eaten some cheese for lunch in preparation for this.

[…]

Nanami gave a small sigh. She really hated the idea of letting Ryan in her room... but her room was full of sharp objects, and if she could just get Ryan behind her locked door, she would 'play' with him.

By which she meant stab him until he explained what was going on. Or until he died. Either one was fine.

[…]

Jason froze and gulped, and slowly turned his head to see Rina. He suddenly wanted to fall asleep and die.

“... Oh... h-h-hey Rina... err... which part were you asking about? The me making out with Walter's sister, or the me wanting to make out with you? … You know what, nevermind, I didn't just ask that!”

Poor Jason. Poor, poor, poor Jason.
