I can't see what you're imagining

-Alexandria Countryside- “Oh, come on Didymus. He's cute, I'm sure he's harmless,” Kairi said, approaching Garnet and looking at Timcanpy, “Aren't you adorable?” She smiled at the little golem, then turned to Allen, “And hello, Allen, right? My name is Kairi. I'm Sora's friend.” Sora stopped by Chloe and and the strange man in the suit. “Everything okay?” he wondered. -Ankh-Morpork- Spork Residence “I'm sure with the two of us together, we can take this guy,” Spork told Sama, bringing his sword around. He then stomped on the ground, sending a wave of rock at Skin! Teacher's Guild Ruins Another shield of magical energy went over the exploded demon, keeping the dark matter in. In a flash it was teleported away, someplace harmlessly. As the evil spiked balls of doom shot around the wizards, smaller shields began to shoot around them, trapping the balls of doom and helping the wizards, gathering them all up. The summoned T. Rex roared, stepped forward, and devoured the last demon! It licked it's lips, then paused, as it exploded into dust from the demons dust stuff. Outside Green Dragon Inn “Okay, let's go,” Cess said, “We might need to find someplace to hide or something...I don't know how effective we'll be...” He headed out into the street, his golems taking point. Unfortunately, there were Amestries soldiers not to far from them... Alleyway “They won't be human. They'll be...different. They'll smell a bit like our friend Roxas here,” Xehanort told Kxs, “In fact, why not try and sniff them out, with your abilities?” -Central: Ansem's House- Galv sighed, nodding his head slightly. “If you're still sure then...Let me go find some bandages so we have them on hand.” He got up to find some bandages hoping something would happen so Melanie wouldn't have to bleed herself... -Small Town- Ethan frowned, glancing at the odd creature that was claiming it could find anything. He looked to Kanna, wondering if she'd go and talk to it...He didn't trust it... |

Ankh-Morpork Alleyway "Ooohh, OK," KxS replied to Xehanort, nodding slowly. She then turned toward Roxas. "Excuse me, but I need to do this." The werewolf then started to sniff him, trying to get his scent and remember it. She nodded again and stuck her nose up in the air. She walked out of the alley, sniffing around for whoever could smell like Roxas. She didn't care if she looked weird, not if this was for a good purpose. ...If it WAS a good purpose. Outside the Green Dragon Inn Shimera kept shooting solar beams at the demons as she followed Cess. "Alright!" she shouted. |

[Alexandrian Countryside] Chloe Valens was known for having a short fuse. It was a bad habit for a Paladin, to be sure, but it was her vice. Her eyes narrowed, and her face turned rather sour. “Listen here, you… I don’t know what business you have in Treno, nor do I care! I am a Paladin – a Holy Soldier – and I’m in the middle of very important business! Surely you can see the Galdwinian Rangers around you? This is a military operation, not a tourist booth! It’s not a matter of being rude, I’m asking you to leave for your safety and ours! We don’t need you getting in the way, so please leave, now!” Chloe was rather rash, and she was speaking fast. Still, she felt uneasy around this man… and she did not much care for the butterfly on her head. […] A small golem had suddenly landed on Dagger’s head. She was a bit taken aback by this, but at the same time… this thing did not seem to be hurting her in any way. Besides, as a summoner… she felt connected to small, magical beings. “Hold on, Didymus!” She called as she saw his reaction – clearly he was not happy, and even looked like he might attack the creature. “It’s… alright.” Zidane raised an eyebrow. “Really? You look a little dumb like that.” Dagger glared at him. “How dare you!” Zidane shrugged. [Ankh-Morpork] [Main Street] Mustang’s eyes narrowed dangerously as he looked around for any further sign of monsters. The crater and the toxic fumes bothered him, but right now this was not his biggest concern. “Hawkeye!” He called, and she came over to him. “Sir?” “Send a message to ALL SOLDIERS. There are monsters attacking Ankh-Morpork… engage them if you find one, but make sure you have a alchemist with you!” It might have been viewed as arrogant to insinuate that the soldiers of Amestris could not handle the monsters on their own… but Mustang had seen enough ‘monsters’ to know how useless regular people could be against them. He looked over to Cyrena, and paused. “The Benders… I have no idea… however… I think if we find more of these monsters, we might just find them.” Mustang smirked. [Spork Residence] Sama nodded, and set to work. While Spork went low with a wave of rocks, Sama decided to attack from above. He twirled around, creating a small whirlwind that propelled him into the air; from where he was able to throw a punch – and a fireball – at the monster, Skin! [Small Town] Shady gave a little nod of his earless, noseless head and gave a grin of his eerie white teeth. “Come now, there must be SOMETHING you want! Money? Fame? Fortune? A skull in the shape of Florida? How about finding someone? Ever want to stalk a celebrity? If you’ve got the money, honey, we’ve got your disea—I mean, we can make it happen!” [Alexandria City] Yuna wanted to sneak into the castle, but suddenly, a soldier approached them. “Excuse me…” The soldier, like most of them, was an attractive woman who carried a gigantic sword and shield. “… Are you coming in?” Yuina blinked, taken aback. Cid scratched his head, looking so shocked he almost dropped his cigarette. Sir Auron raised an eyebrow, but continued to pretend to be a drunkard. “I’m sorry? We… we can come in?” Yuna was VERY confused. “Of course you may! Queen Brahne has invited every inhabitant and supporter of Alexandria to be here for the big speech! Follow me, and I’ll… Oh! General!” The soldier looked over, noticing Beatrix, and rushing past Yuna and Company. “General Beatrix! I’m so glad you have returned! Queen Brahne asked about you. Where have you been?” |

Alexandria countryside Didymus relaxed-slightly-when Garnet said it was alright-then turned his raised an eyebrow at Zidane. "That...was a tad uncalled for, don't you think?" Steiner, who had arrived at this time, would have urged Garnet to "get that thing off", but instead turned to Zidane. "You-sacrilege, irreverence, is there NO taboo you WON'T stoop to?!" he asked, or, rather, demanded. Didymus remained somewhat tense, still eying the think on Garnet's head. Ankh-Morpork “The Benders… I have no idea… however… I think if we find more of these monsters, we might just find them.” Mustang smirked. "Yes SIR, Colonel Mustang!" Cyrena answered in her unfittingly cheerful/enthusiastic tone. "Um...which way should we go...?" she asked, looking at the numerous streets before them. Alexandria City Beatrix got more and more intrigued when she heard that Brahne was TRYING to let people in-including this summoner. Then, the gate guard noticed her-and IDENTIFIED her. She inwardly was frustrated-she wanted to keep a low profile, for now, at least. “General Beatrix! I’m so glad you have returned! Queen Brahne asked about you. Where have you been?” "She...she did?" Beatrix asked. "I've...been busy...I made my way back here as soon as possible. Tell me, soldier...how is the queen? And why is she allowing anyone in-haven't you heard?" Her cover was blown, anyway. She walked closer you Yuna. "Tales of a summoner in Treno. Mismatched eyes, light brown hair, young, and apparently from out of the country." She turned to the guard. "I think this one looks quite a bit like the summoner whose actions brought about the defeat at Treno, don't you think?" "Hey!" Rikku cried. "Who do you think you are, just pointing fingers like that?!" Beatrix scoffed, and brushed a strand of her hair back behind her head (because I had to get in her trademark pose SOMEWHERE). "General Beatrix, Alexandrian Royal Army. Keeping this nation safe from all threats is my chief concern." Rikku hesitated. What would she say? Beatrix was right to suspect them, AND she had authority to get them in trouble... |

Alexandrian Countryside Allen blinked a few times, looking strangely at Zidane, before giving him a glare. A surprisingly intense glare, especially from someone like Allen, whose expression seemed to be locked in various stages of pleasant. "I don't think it looks dumb. It means that Tim likes her, which is probably a very good thing. It's really not very nice to insult someone like that. Especially girls, who deserve our respect, not our scorn." He turned about and gave another bow, before sticking a hand out towards Tim. "Timcanpy! Come here!" The golem remained where it was. "Tim! Stop being so rude. You know that's one of the traits that Mas-... Ah. Marshall Cross disliked about you. Now come on, and apologize to the girl whose head you so rudely made your nest already. Please. I don't want to get into any conflict here." However, instead of doing as Allen asked, Timcanpy shifted itself so it faced where Dagger was looking and opened a really toothy mouth that made it look like some sort of demented Pacman with wings. An image then sprung up in front of the little golem, a projection showing a red-haired man in black robes with golden trim and a wide-brimmed hat. He was lazily lounging on a couch, swishing a glass of wine on one hand, and the other hand propping up his head on the side of his seat. "Tim SHOULD be delivering this message to only one individual. If you're not that individual, let go of the golem and run for it, because I won't be merciful. Otherwise..." The man took a drag from a cigarette, blew out some smoke to the side, and rank a bit of the wine in the glass in his hand before continuing. "This is Marshall Cross Marian, and I have a rather... Important message. It is only for the ears of three people. Dagger. The Paladin boy. And that Rusty-armored bodyguard. Meet me in Treno when you get there, in the Sunset Inn. This is not the sort of information you want to miss, Dagger... It pertains to you directly, after all." The Golem turned slightly so Cross was looking at Allen. "Allen. I know you are there. When you get to Treno, come and see me. There are things I need to give you. Goodbye for now. And... Bring your willingness." Allen blanched, before shouting at the image, fully knowing WHAT it is that Marshall Cross wanted with him, and backed away from the image (even if it WAS just a recording), shaking like a leaf. "Oh, noooo way! I won't! THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN MA-" Tim closed his toothy mouth and settled down again, leaving a blinking, befuddled and very embarrassed-looking Allen Walker, who blinked a few times before going red in the face from embarrassment and bowing quickly. "Uhhm... I'm sorry! I didn't mean to be so loud!" [---] The man in the top hat just shrugged. "Very well. Jeez, pushy woman... If you keep going like that, you'll never find yourself a nice boy to settle down with." And with those words, the man walked off, heading back to where he appeared from a purple blur. As he walked, gaining distance just enough so he wouldn't be noticed much, he gripped his shaking right hand as his skin darkened and black crosses spread themselves over his forehead. "... No... I won't attack here... No. This is not my time. But... Everything is going according to plan." And he kept walking, heading off in the opposite direction of Treno. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ankh-Morpork [Spork Residence] Skin moved to the side, dodging the fireball and made a leap over the shockwave on the ground, landing right in front of Spork, grinning madly. He moved surprisingly quickly for his size, and this definitely labeled him as someone that wasn't exactly human. He turned, lashing a mighty side-kick out at Spork while lightning played over his hands, and then followed the kick (which was probably dodged) with a double-palm strike into the point where Spork would have dodged into IF he dodged the first attack! "The Earl will be definitely impressed if I destroy you both here! Don't expect to LIVE!!! YOUR LIVES, YOUR VERY EXISTENCES CANNOT BE FORGIVEN!!!" |

Small Town Kanna raised a brow at the man who was apparently making very big promises..While she was curious to see if this man could come through on his word she had also learned not to trust such shady characters (especially when they were refered to as such name...) But she DID want to find her daughter. And it would be rather amusing to see this man fail miserably "Come now Ethan, at least he could provide us with a momentary raise in moral. Something to lift our spirits with?" Kanna made her way over, bag and cloak still in tow, and eyed the man up and down. While she wasn't very tall nor very tough looking Kanna was known to be a very powerful witch and one of the scariest people one could come across.... "So what are you trying to sell?" she said after a few moments of silence. She made no move towards her money. Central: Ansem's House- When Galv left to search for some bandages Melanie decided to go to work on finding a suitable knife....Of course they all looked rather intimidating... She frowned and bit her lip before taking several from Ansem's kitchen as well as a large bowl and heading back to the room. She then proceeded to lay them out on the bed and look at them. She didn't want to leave a mark but she did want to bleed. She decided to go for a small blade that looked like it would accomplish the task without causing too much damage. "Hurry up and stop stalling for time!" she called out to Galv who she knew was dragging his legs. Ankh-Morpork Crystal tried to stay positive for the boy in her arms but found it difficult as they ran through the streets, trying to avoid any soliders. It was hard, as they seemed to be everywhere....On more than one occaision the girl found herself weaving in and out of alleyways to avoid them. Finally the girl needed to take a breath so she stopped, staying in a particularly creepy alleyway with the small boy on her lap. She sat down and took a few breaths. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Ankh-Morpork- Spork Residence As Skin kicked at him, Spork managed to dodge, but not to the side, but underneath! He moved the earth and fell underneath it, into the underground places beneath the city. A pause, and he shot up from underneath, behind Skin, slashing his diamond sword in an upwards slash! Streets Roxas paused, controlling his urge to kill as Kxs got his scent, then followed after her, along with Namine as she searched for something else...not quite human... Master Xehanort jumped into the air, stopping on a roof, following them that way. Outside Green Dragon Inn Cess ran out into the street, looking around still. No monsters in their immediate vicinity... People seemed to be fleeing towards the Palace, though the City Watch was currently fighting the monsters as well. “What the heck is happening?” Cess muttered, looking worried. Creepy Alleyway Hammah sat on Crystal's lap, looking scared as well. There was a sound in the alleyway, and he bit his lip, scared. “What's this...a Bender? Two Benders? Interesting...” A young man with blue hair approached the two from the alleyway, “Are you two quite alright?” -Small Town- “Seems like it'll be a waste of time,” Ethan sighed, following Kanna as they approached Shady. He glared at the creature as well, as if daring it to try anything. “Well?” -Central: Ansem's House- Galv had found the bandages pretty quickly, but continued to 'look' in order to stall...As Melanie figured out pretty quickly. He sighed, grabbing the bandages and walking (slowly), towards the guest room. He wished something would happen so Melanie wouldn't have to do this. -Alexandria Countryside- Sora frowned, watching as the odd man made his way off. “Something felt...off about him...” Sora muttered. He wasn't sure what exactly though... “Don't worry about it,” Kairi told Allen, then paused, “Who was that guy, exactly? I mean, I heard his name, but what is he to you?” |

Ankh-Morpork Streets KxS kept sniffing around. Some moments, she would get on all fours and sniff the ground, then get back up and keep going. She seemed to be zig-zagging all over the place trying to find someone else with Roxas' scent. Well, at least she felt useful. Somewhat... Elsewhere on the streets, apparently, Shimera was following Cess. She kept her hands glowing, in case more demons were to appear. |

[Alexandria Countryside] Garnet watched as the small creature on her head turned into a projector. Garnet paused, thinking about what had just happened. Who was this man, how did he know who she was (if, indeed he did) and what exactly did he want? She did not know. She cast a glance towards the Castle of Alexander in the distance. It was the place she grew up in, and she wanted so badly to return home and bring peace… but now was not the time. She needed to Master Summoning before she could heal her mother. Treno… this Cross person wanted to meet her there. She needed to go to Treno to see Doctor Tot anyway. “… Wait a moment…” Garnet paused, looking over to Allen. “… Are you Allen Walker?” Suddenly, memories flashed through Garnet’s mind. She had not thought of it sooner This boy – and his master, Cross – had been to Alexandria Castle and dined with the young and beautiful Queen Brahne and King Garland. Allen had been… a friend, one of the few people her own age who she knew at that time. She started to speak up, but then paused… “… If your master wants to see us, I will see him. We must go to Treno anyway. Oh, and YOU.” She paused and looked to Zidane. “… You need to learn to be quiet.” Zidane shrugged. […] Chloe flushed, turning as pink as a peach, and quickly stormed away from the odd man. She could hardly believe what he had just said to her! [Ankh-Morpork] [Spork Residence] Skin seemed have Spork in a bad situation, but luckily the Earthbender was able to escape. Sama was relieved to see it as he charged forward. While Spork was coming up from behind the monster with his sword, Sama charged right at its side, bringing up his hands and shooting a much larger burst of flames at Skin! [Streets] Sama’s fireball – the first one – had been dodged, and flew into the air! Mustang noticed the fireball. He was intrigued… usually the only balls of fire he saw were his own; so this could mean a firebender… which COULD mean… “Over there!” He yelled to Hawkeye and Cyrena. He led the way, as they ran in the direction of Spork’s Residence. [Small Town] Shady gave a grin as he got a bite; a rather attractive woman in black and a strange man who seemed to be her boyfriend, or possibly her servant. Shady didn’t much care about humans, but they did amuse him. “Now, now, I can tell you seem to be in disbelief… but I assure you, I can find anyone or anything in the world! Well, not ME… but my great and glorious master, the Lord of the Lakes! He’s magical, you know! Anywhere on this world with water, he can go there in a flash, and because of that he can find anything! It’s all because a long time ago he—” “Shady, come now, you don’t need to bore our customers with details.” A man had appeared, wearing a set of expensive-looking blue robes, a fancy lapel pin, and a pair of very nice-looking sunglasses that he had ‘found’ in Amestris. “Greetings and salutations, I am the Lord of the Lake; wizard supreme. The name’s Rica. Now, who wanted to find what now?” [Alexandria Castle] The entirety of Alexandria was not in the shops, or the streets or their homes. They were in the grand courtyard of the castle, looking up at the balcony where Queen Brahne At the Castle Gates, Yuna was taken aback as she saw General Beatrix. She listened as Beatrix spoke of a dangerous summoner… and that dangerous summoner sure sounded a lot like Yuna! Yuna, however, stood firm in the face of Beatrix. It helped that Auron had put his jug of booze back on his belt, and was now standing with both arms freed from his coat. She knew it as a sign that Auron was ready to fight if he needed to. And Auron was very, very good at fighting. “… I am not a threat to you, General. I did not come here to wage a war or participate in one.” “You should also know…” Auron spoke up. “That Lady Yuna is the High Summoner of the Spiral Cluster. Her words are the truth, she did not come here to be your enemy – but she is not an enemy you want to make, either.” It was tense. Auron and Beatrix were both incredibly powerful, and if the two fought, it would likely be a massive bloodbath. “Excuse me… did you say you’re a summoner?” The soldier blinked at Yuna. “… General… I think we should tell her majesty…” A few other soldiers approached. They were all armed, and carried shields; a sign that visibly worried Auron. His hand reached towards his back, and his fingers clenched around his sword. “… Stop, Sir Auron.” Yuna said suddenly in a commanding voice. The girl with mismatched eyes was starring right at Auron, who paused and let out a grunt. “I must trust my visions, Auron. I came here for my own reasons… so please, do not cause trouble for these soldiers now.” Yuna pleaded with him. She did not want to see a incident happen now – it may mean fleeing, and she would lose sight of whatever purpose she had here. Auron did not seem comfortable with her request, but reluctantly removed his hand from his sword. “As you wish.” The soldiers started to escort the group inside, but as they approached the castle doors, a voice spoke and the soldiers paused, looking up at the balcony. Queen Brahne stood to a wave of applause. Brahne may have been viewed as a stooge and a fool by Amestris, and an enemy by Galdwin, but she was a beloved ruler to Alexandria. Even with their troubles, the people of Alexandria dearly loved their Queen. “My wonderful subjects! I come to tell you of our efforts to defeat those nasty Galdwinians who seek to subjugate our magic!” Brahne cried out, and at the mention of ‘Galdwinians’ there was a loud wave of jeers. “It is with a heavy heart that I inform you… that Galdwin has invaded our country’s territory! They march ever closer to our capitol now – but fear not! Our Black Mage armies shall crush them where they stand!” Suddenly, as more applause roared from the crowd, a figure appeared at Brahne’s side – Princess Garnet! The young woman’s presence only amplified the applause. Up on the balcony, Garnet approached Brahne. Brahne looked delighted – and confused – to see her daughter. “Garnet? You have returned? I-I thought those nasty Paladins had brainwashed you!” Brahne gasped. “Mother… people of Alexandria… what I do, I do for the good of our people…” Garnet said in a noble fashion. Brahne seemed confused – and then horrified as the raised her hands and blasted the Queen with a bolt of lightning! The people of Alexandria looked truly horrified as their beloved Princess blasted their beloved Queen off the edge of the balcony. Brahne let out one last terrified scream as she dropped amidst her subjects and died. |

I'll bite your legs off!
|
Alexandrian countryside Didymus was surprised as the message played, and he could feel it, or was being told...magic. "Hmm...so, we're being spied on by magical means, hmm?" He shook his head. "Oh dear. Well, whether or not we follow up on this is your decision, of course, Dagger, so I suppose we shall. Still, you and he-" he indicated Allen. "-know each other? He thought he could feel a moment of relief, but panic, tension, following it. "You two know each other?" he asked them both. No...why? These feelings...I know...regardless, I must do the right thing in this regard... He stood. "Either way, let's go. We have dawdled long enough, perhaps even too long..." He kept his mouth shut when she spoke to Zidane, and Steiner actually, well, grinned. Slightly. Before turning to head back to the wagon. Ankh-Morpork Cyrena saw the flare, and nodded. "Right behind you, colonel!" she shouted, keeping pace with him, trying to run alongside him. Alexandria Castle "Hmph. If she is not here to make war, why DID she do so in Treno, I wonder? Still, she was...surprised, to say the least, when Auron introduced Yuna as Spira's "High Summoner", not a run of the mill one. "Truly...? This girl...?" Beatrix paused, then, slowly, shook her head. "...I apologize. However, I DO find her actions worthy of being cause for suspicion..." She hated to do it, but knew that if Yuna was such a high-level official, she had to render proper courtesies, at least, until she could converse with her...superiors...about it. And the thought of doing THAT also concerned her. When the notion of telling Brahne about the summoner was brought up, she nodded. "Yes, I agree..." She paused at Yuna's conversation with her guardians, and soon, they were escorted inside. Throughout this, Rikku had been uncharacteristically silent...until the speech. "Ooooh..." she said. "...she must be the queen..." "...and the princess! Oh, she looks right out of a fairy tale!" Rikku was enjoying the speech-even though it clearly spoke of war and hardship-right up until Brahne was blasted with a spell! Beatrix's jaw dropped, and she immediately drew her blade-but rushed to Brahne's side. "Your majesty...?" she felt for a pulse, checked for breathing...nothing. She was beyond her white magic. "SUMMONER!" she cried. "SEIZE THE SUMMONER!" She didn't know if or how Yuna could have possibly been involved in that-she DID know, however, that she wanted to get into the castle, by stealth if need be, had helped in the defeat of Alexandria's air fleet, and now was in the room when her queen was attacked by a magic spell...perhaps it was Garnet who did that, perhaps, though...it was a summoner's trick! She aimed to find out in the dungeon. Through the pandemonium that was breaking out, Beatrix charged, her blade glistening in the sunlight (I think the balcony is an outdoor one...XD). Rikku saw her coming on. It was an intimidating sight indeed, but her cousin was in danger. As Beatrix charged, Rikku threw herself forward... Beatrix's sword flashed, swiped clearly as she charged...and Yuna would have heard her cousin cry out in pain. A sharp, loud cry. Behind Beatrix, Rikku dropped to her knees, and the "claw" on her right arm dropped to the ground with a clang. If they were to look at her, they may have noticed that a long, red gash was along the length of her right arm, blood beginning to seep out, the claw that was strapped to her arm having been cut loose. "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!" she cried. Beatrix didn't even bother to look back. "I take it she was the lesser of your bodyguards, summoner. Nothing need happen to the other one, if you surrender yourself. NOW." Alexandria Castle-inside A red haired woman was kneeling before Garland, her head bowed, her back bent, and one of her knees on the carpet. "...and that was when I decided that we needed to retreat...so I am sorry, sire. But the summoner created a hole in our formation, a hole that Galdwinians were able to exploit...I had no choice but to withdraw. Especially with the summoner present, the situation was too unfavorable. My...my women", she said, clearly distressed when thinking about this part"...and their ships...would all likely have been destroyed. I...I had to preserve them somehow..." She took a deep breath. "I am truly sorry, and I accept full responsibility for this. If you deem me unfit to command the air fleet, I will step down..." Suddenly, a commotion broke out outside! It was about this time that Brahne had been blown off the balcony. Belleza knew that that was not her concern now, though, and remained kneeling, awaiting Garland's verdict. Central City It had already begun. Bradley was gone, and the various generals in Amestris' army now had to meet in Central City to choose his successor. They were edgy, though. Many of them, at least. One could see it in the way they walked, how they kept their security around them so tightly... ...they were afraid. Worried, at least. To say that every one was afraid would be unfair. There were a number of them that were more concerned than afraid. "Hmph. These Central wimps." A blond-haired woman wearing the insignia of an Amestrisian Major General scoffed as she walked into the Central Command Center, observing the conduct of her fellow generals. "Trembling at shadows. Jumping at noises. If the Rangers are here, let them come, I say, let them come! Any general who cannot repel a cowardly assassin who must strike from the shadows is not fit for command." she said. Of course, she only said this to her personal entourage. She understood that in formal settings, it would be unbecoming to talk openly like that. ...however, it was not shadows that truly bothered the Central staff-it was what may have been hiding amongst them, or amongst their own people, or either way, in the city, a number of men had arrived. They were clad in brown cloaks, and beneath these, each had a badge of an armored sentinel's helmet, with eyes under it seeming to glow... ...the insignia of the Galdwinian Ranger Corps. |

Ankh Morpork Outside the Green Dragon Inn "No idea whatsoever..." Sam clutched his weapon, his hand burning...he let out a sigh. "If you can't grant me that wish, can you at least grant me some thick, long leather gloves? My hand is killing me here..." He was clutching his weapon if only to protect the others around him, and KxS if he could find her. |

Small Town Kanna did not seem impressed by the introduction or if she did she did not show it. Instead she looked up at the man and spoke. "Lord of the lake eh? Sounds powerful enough...My name is Kanna. My...Bodyguard here is Ethan" Bodyguard was better than saying 'puppy who follows me around' she supposed. "I'm looking for a child. Black hair, blue eyes, rather short. She ran away. Impress me." -Central: Ansem's House- Melanie gave a slight groan, annoyed that the boy was taking so long to come back. Eventually she just decided to start without him and picked up the knife. "This should be easy enough....Just cut and sit here" the young girl told herself, shaking a bit. She was rather pale so her veins weren't hard to see....She just didn't want to kill herself. She found a spot down her arm and moved the blade to it...A few seconds later she took a deep breath and pushed it down hard. "Ah!" she gasped, eyes shut tightly and face bright red. It definitely hurt (and poor Galv would be feeling the same pain) Ankh-Morpork-Creepy Alleyway “Are you two quite alright?” Crystal looked up from the hiding spot and instantly paled, scrambling back with Hammah still in her arms. She then threw one hand up and a stream of water flew up as well.... Crystal was not in the mood for strangers. "G-get away!" |

[Central City] [Mechanics Corps HQ] Amestris may have used State Alchemists as their trump card in war, but the backbone of their army was their massive armada of tanks, jeeps and trucks. The massive machines were used for transportation, attack and defense – and this made them an invaluable tool under Amestris belt. The Mechanics Corps was a specialized division of the military. Their primary function was to service the vehicles and maintain them so that Amestris could always be ready to roll at a moment’s notice. Today, two new recruits had been added to the Mechanics Corps; a blond and a redhead, both young and pretty – and both feeling a bit… awkward. Winry Rockbell, after all, had lost her parents to the military and held a deep grudge against them. Eva Wei was a citizen of Galdwin, Amestris’ biggest enemy. Now both girls were in the Mechanics Corps headquarters, being given the tour. “… Yeah, so basically, we fix the stuff that breaks. Simple as that.” A purple haired girl with big glasses and a helmet was explaining things to them. She was Lucca Ashtear, a brilliant mechanic who had studied in Ankh-Morpork. Ed and Al were here as well; Ed had used his pull as a State Alchemist and “hero of the people” to get the girls the job. (In actuality, he forged Mustang’s signature on some papers – but he was sure the Colonel wouldn’t mind). Winry frowned, and looked over to Eva. “… It’s kind of weird to be dressed like this…” She said, indicating the uniforms. [Shadows] Lurking in the shadows was the Ranger Corps of Galdwin. They were elite, they were deadly and they were the best of the best. … and one of them should not have been with the group. He was underage, and had lied his way into the army. It was by natural talent that he ended up a Ranger, but he was still raw and lacked a lot of the benefits of experience. Jordan C. Wilde was taking several deep breaths as he gave his rifle an once-over. He was on a BIG mission with the others… a mission that would hopefully change history. [Central HQ] Central’s Headquarters were under lockdown. Security was out in full force. Tanks were parked on the street, all officers were being escorted by armed guards, and everyone was on high alert. Several floors of Central’s HQ were closed down to everyone aside from select personnel – the cleaning staff, the aides and essentially all enlisted personnel were banned from entering those halls. Even some of the officers were being turned away (including one Lieutenant Colonel whose office sat in that very hall. He angrily cursed, until a kindly MP demanded that he leave). Down that hallway, the Generals were meeting. Though, they were still waiting for a few absentees. “… Ah, I see I’m late. My apologies.” General Grumman, one of the top men in Central, arrived in his usual lax manner. He was an elderly man, and one who often was mistaken for a goof or an idiot – but he was actually quite the crafty customer. [Ankh-Morpork] [Spork Residence] As the battle raged on against Skin, Mustang, Hawkeye, Cyrena and a small group of soldiers arrived on the scene. Mustang snapped quickly, sending an explosion rocketing towards the monster Skin. He paused at the next sight he saw; the Avatar! Sama gasped as well. The explosion came out of nowhere, and he twisted his head in time to look over and see Mustang. Memories came flooding back into his mind from that day so long ago…. “… Y-You!” Sama gasped, noticing Mustang – and Hawkeye. That was the woman who… Sama gulped, and felt a twinge of pain from his old gunshot scar. Hawkeye gasped too; and Mustang’s eyes widened. The Avatar WAS alive. [Alexandria Castle] [Inside] Garland, seated at his throne (and still in full armor), leaned back and seemed thoughtful and quiet. Belleza had failed in her mission, but that was no matter at the moment. The King had returned to his throne, and while some of his master’s plans were set back, they were still certainly winning the war. “Belleza… you were given quite a powerful ‘pet’ to help you accomplish your task… however, given you were up against a SUMMONER, I suppose I can understand why you failed.” Garland crossed his hands contemplatively. “… Princess Garnet can summon the same monsters, and even STRONGER ones. This is why we must find my daughter before the Galdwinian Conspiracy destroys us.” Garland sat back. “You MUST stop Galdwin next time. We cannot fail when victory is so close…” [Outside] People yelled and screamed and wept. Soldiers tried to keep the townspeople away from Brahne’s body. Meanwhile, Beatrix had struck! Rikku was the first to feel the sting of her blade, and the young Al Bhed was now bleeding profusely. Yuna gasped, a look of sheer horror spread across her face at the sight of her cousin’s blood. “You have it all wrong!” Yuna yelled, as she rushed to Rikku’s side. She threw up her hands, and a green light shone across Rikku’s arm – it was the White Magic spell Curaga! Auron was done talking. His arm came out of his sling, and he gripped his extra-long sword. He ran forward, kicking a soldier down, then spun around and knocked another away with the back of his fist. Then Auron took a big swig of his ale, and turned to Beatrix. He spit the ale out onto his sword; and magically it burst into flames. “Lady, we didn’t come to fight you… but now I’m going to have to.” Auron charged! [Alexandrian Countryside] Dagger nodded to Didymus, and gave a small smile as she walked over next to Allen. “Yes… yes, we do! You remember me, don’t you Allen? We met a long time ago… This same person, this Cross person… he came to the Castle and had dinner with… with my mother…” Garnet choked back a tear at the thought. How happy that day had been! She, just a little girl, had finally had a playmate her own age in Allen. In those days, Queen Brahne was still sane (and alive) and it had been a wonderful few days. |

Alexandrian countryside A small smile. It was good to see Garnet smiling again, Didymus thought, even though he felt himself getting a bit tense over the reason. “Yes… yes, we do! You remember me, don’t you Allen? We met a long time ago… This same person, this Cross person… he came to the Castle and had dinner with… with my mother…” Both Didymus and Steiner tensed up at that-a subject that it may have been best to avoid around Garnet. "Um, come on." Didymus interjected. "Let's keep moving. Um, you two could catch up or something." he said, in hopes of getting Garnet's mind off her mother. He gestured towards the wagon. Central City, Amestris Command Center Armstrong-Olivier, of course-had also entered. "I hope we can be quick..." she said. "Every moment we spend here is one away from the front-and I know that Galdwin's been probing the northern defenses for weeks, and I know that we can't seem to penetrate their own border fort network...now, of all times, with Alexandria in retreat, are we needed with our men...and NOW of all times, the Fuhrer is killed, by the AVATAR, no less..." She had to hold herself back from scoffing. Instead, she actually gave a very, VERY slight grin. "An outside observer would think that this war is going badly for us." her grin faded. "Of course, I do not question the judgment of my superiors..." Streets The Rangers were dispersing, each to their targets. Next to Jordan, a few were sitting. One of whom was a dark-haired man with a gleam in his eye that showed he was in his element. He was rugged and vigilant. Some insignia he wore under his cloak set him as the captain in the team that had infiltrated Central. He was Nathaniel Howe. "You. Wilde. Come here." he said. "And all of you, listen. You know what we are to do-we have multiple high-value targets we can remove, but as you know, removing them all is unnecessary. We know the upper echelon. Amestris is a beast, or a pack of them. And you know what happens to a pack of beasts when their alpha is slain-they either go leaderless and die, or consume each other in their struggle for a replacement. Gentlemen, we may not win this war here...but we can...and WILL, strike a CRUSHING blow-and Amestris' army will reel from it and shake with fear." He paused. "First, though, to infiltrate their command center, we need a distraction...and I believe I know just the place. A chance to do our country still another service. Their vehicles...must be dealt with. Any objections?" Alexandria Castle Inside Belleza listened as it seemed she was given another chance. When victory...is so close...? she thought. "Um, yes. Yes...my lord...but what is that commotion outside?" Outside Rikku clutched her arm as Yuna's spell took effect. Beatrix was too focused on Auron to notice her. "Hmph." she said. "You destroy my nation's air forces, you conspire against my queen and her fortress, and now you defy me openly after her grisly murder-and you STILL claim innocence? You've some nerve on you-perhaps it's high time you learn that Alexandrian women are a far cry from those soft-spoken maidens like your summoner!" ...she wasn't including Garnet in that generalization. ![]() Ankh-Morpork Cyrena glared around the room. "Is that...?" She jumped forward, snapping. "MONSTER! TASTE JUSTICE FOR THE FUHRER! FEEL THE SUNSHINE!" The "sunbeams" were shooting out, and Cyrena was determined to impress Mustang here...so she threw herself at her opponent. ...yeah. She was in over her head. |

-Ankh-Morpork- Spork Residence Some weird monster, and now alchemists? Things were not going well...At least Crystal was safe with Hammah...presumably. Spork jumped forward, feeling the earth as Cyrena fired solar beams. He swung his sword around, the diamond sword refracting the light, the blade glowing, and sending it back at the alchemist! Meanwhile, another burst of fire came from the sky, fireballs swirling around and coming at Skin! Garet grinned, having appeared! “Man, I wake up, and everyone's gone!” Garet said, “You need help Sama?” Creepy Alleyway As the water came at the blue haired man, he held up his hand, the water freezing solid, stopping before it could hit him. “And a Water Bender at that,” the man said, “It seems we have something in common...Don't be afraid.” Hammah shuddered. He didn't like this man... Streets “Here!” Cess said. He pulled out some gloves, tossing them to Sam, “I have some!” He looked around the streets...Several Amestries soldiers were around...What was happening here? If Kxs followed the scent, they would be approaching Spork's residence...the scent of Skin... -Alexandria Countryside- “Well then, we better get back to the wagon,” Sora said, “And you know each other? Cool. Are you coming with us then Allen?” -Small Town- “I'm her protector,” Ethan clarified, glaring at the man with sunglasses, instantly disliking him for some reason, “And can you help us or not?” (Gahhhh...I was in a rush earlier, I can't believe I forgot this. D: ) -Central: Ansem's House- “Ow!” Galv muttered, feeling the wound himself. He shook his head, then hurried into the guest room, holding some bandages, looking towards Melanie. “There has to be an easier way to do this...” he muttered, feeling the pain more acutely the closer he got to Melanie. He dealt with it though, ready to bandage her up when she was done... |
