I'll bite your legs off!
|
Alexandrian countryside Didymus and Garnet were outside the range of the Waltz's Quake spell, and when it vanished, Didymus concentrated, listened... ...if it was gone, he stood, and looked about, back and forth, between the new arrivals-he thought he could feel some taint, at least, on either of them. "Are you alright, Dagger?" he asked, without looking back at her, though. Ankh-Morpork As the first creature exploded, and the second one kept firing, Cyrena sidestepped the globs being hurled at her, and kept "firing" at the remaining target! She didn't show it, and it was far enough back in her mind that she remained focused, but she inwardly felt a tad more...hopeful. If she remained untouched, she could actually upstage Hawkeye in front of Mustang! ...yeah, her mind was on a different track than average, if you hadn't figured that out. Alexandria City “A magnificent stone castle with a sword in the middle… this is the place I saw in my visions, Sir Auron. This is where I was supposed to go.” "All right!" Rikku pumped her fist in the air, then paused. "Um...now what?" Meanwhile, Beatrix had heard that, as well. She was intrigued...but fingered her sword. This trio matched the descriptions she was hearing from Treno...and she "needed" to be here? She was hostile to Alexandria. She had proved that. And she "needed" to be here? It was rapidly becoming less of a question of if Beatrix would strike, and more of simply WHEN. |

Alexandrian Countryside Allen, being the closest to the Waltz, was perfectly within the range of the Quake spell, and had to think fast. His arm again materialized and he grabbed onto Sora with his left arm, using his massive right as a sort of spring to launch himself high into the air and backwards, landing just a few feet away from Didymus. The kid was surprisingly strong, having just picked up another body and launched himself high in the air. That lithe body of his really hid quite the physical strength and prowess. Letting go of Sora, Allen turned back towards where the Waltz was, and watched it vanish. Letting out a mighty sigh, he let the arm dissipate in a green flame, returning his arm to normal yet again, sleeve intact. He removed a glove from his pocket, one he stowed there previously, and placed it back onto his hand, bot not before it was revealed to be made of some strange, hard material and not skin, with a green cross embedded into the back of the hand. After placing a glove there, Allen put both hands together and spoke a small prayer. "Let your soul find peace, dark one... Amen." He turned then, looking with concern at Sora. "You okay? We got a bit too close to the spell there. My apologies for not jumping into the fray earlier, but I sorta got... Lost." He looked sheepishly around him, before focusing on Didymus. His eyes widened, and he quickly gave a very polite and respectful bow. "I'm sorry, I didn't notice your status, Sir Paladin! I didn't think this area was under your jurisdiction, and I acted in haste to try and protect the good men and women here from that creature. I'm sorry if I have caused any sort of problem!" He again bowed, looking utterly sheepish, and now just babbling apologies. Whatever darkness was visible before had faded so much as to be obscured by an almost all-encompassing light. There might have been a dark curse upon him, but Allen's self was pure, so pure in fact that it shone to those who could see it. [---] While Allen babbled apologies, Tyki sighed, and put is hands up, showing that he was unarmed and harmless. "I just want directions, good lady. I dare think that without them, I may be lost for days, and I have a very important meeting to attend in Treno. Would you be so kind and giving as to point me in the direction of the Sleepless City?" He looked around casually, his eyes seemingly just browsing the area, before looking upwards as he gave another sigh. "He is going to be so angry if I miss this meeting... A large traveler group is coming to Treno, you see, and I have an important meeting to attend with them. If I don't, I dare say that my employer will be most displeased, and I will find myself scrapping for every coin in the coal mines again." He sagged a little, looking rather hopeless. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ankh-Morpork [Alleyway] The new and renewed assault on the demonic thing was far too much, and KxS's hep was what finally finished the monster off. As the girl clawed it again across a spot weakened previously by Roxas' furious assault, the armor broke through and the creature staggered back, collapsing... And then detonated like a bomb, throwing a dark mist into the air, befouling the area with a virus that would kill any of the group if they inhaled even a bit of this thick, purple smog. Xehanort would be the only one who would see what caused the explosion: It was Dark Matter going volatile and destroying the creature utterly, preserving whatever secrets it held. This, combined with the virus in the air and the black pentacles appearing on the ground around the burning, bleeding and quickly decomposing body of the demon pointed towards one thing and one thing only: The Millennium Earl has yet again shown his face. And if he did, then this attack was most likely orchestrated by the Noah. Which meant that a Noah was somewhere here in the city at this time... [Main Road] The viral smog quickly spread, thinning out, but it would take some time for it to thin out into non-existence. The virus didn't live long in open air, but it lived long enough. A few soldiers from Mustang's squad and dozens of civilians around the combat area were subjected to the virus, black pentacles appearing on their skins before they simply turned to ash. The smell of burnt flesh and bone filled the air as the virus took hold of its victims, turning their ashed into just as toxic a substance as the virus itself. The smell became almost overwhelming, a stench of death and decay that assaulted the senses. Luckily, the smog, while not flammable, was blown away by Mustang's explosions, keeping him and most of his group safe for the time being. The spider demon, now being under a concentrated attack, fell with another blast of light, and similarly detonated, sending more of the purple, viral smog through the area. [Teacher's Guild Remains] The lizard monster fighting Emile was thrown to the side by another attack from the wizard velociraptor, but that didn't seem to stop it... Or even slow it down much. It again launched itself into full attack, bladed claws at the ready, venom dripping from its razor-sharp teeth. The lizard turned into a bunny... Blinked. Blinked once again. And then once again. And then exploded as the Dark Matter, no longer recognizing the body shape, destroyed it, sending purple smog in every direction, adding to the first demon's explosion. Only two left. The last one, having jumped straight into the fireball, was subjected to immense temperatures as its armor began to melt, but it bore on through... And came out beside the wizard. However, it ignored the shooter completely and jumped for the nearest one with a lost look, bearing the man down and biting into shoulder. Having injected the virus into the man, nothing could save the poor nameless wizard now. The lizard made a leap to the side, avoiding a hastily-cast ball of ice and bore down on another hapless, less-skilled wizard, taking him down with its mass and going for another bite! [Cobbler's Guild Remains] Skin, having released another wave of demons into the city from the Cobbler's Guild, finally took the time to sense his surroundings. It took him a little while, but he picked up an energy source... A MASSIVE energy source. And it was coming from only a few houses away. Grinning like a maniac, Skin, in all of his dark-skinned, yellow-eyes, brutish, humongous glory made his way around several houses before he stopped in front of the Spork Residence. "Here... Power lies here. The Earl will reward me if I kill everyone inside... Or turn them to our cause. But they hide themselves like rats... Cowards... PATHETIC WEAKLINGS!!! YOUR EXISTENCE IN THIS WORLD CANNOT BE FORGIVEN!!!" And he let out a massive blast of lightning at the door of the Spork Residence! |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Ankh-Morpork- Alleyway As the gas exploded, Xehanort held up his hand. The gas seemed to stop, condensing back in on itself, the air growing cold. It turned into liquid, then froze completely in a block of ice. “I see...So it is his doing...” Xehanort muttered. Darkness overtook the frozen dark matter, sending it away harmlessly into some random volcano to destroy it. “Alright then group!” Xehanort said, “It seems an old...friend, of mine is doing something with this town...I wonder what he's intending...” He shrugged, “Well then! We have a mission. Find one of the people responsible...I'd like to ask some questions...” Outside Green Dragon Inn Demons were attacking. One of the golems grabbed one, crushing it! It exploded, but didn't carry towards the group. Since the golems were simply rock, it didn't effect them... “Be careful!” Cess yelled, worried. Spork Residence The house was hit, the top part exploding! Thankfully they were in the underground section. “What the heck was that?!” Spork yelled. He frowned, then spun throwing his free hand forward, creating a hole in the ground. “Crystal! Take Hammah and go! Go straight for about a hundred feet, and their will be some stairs to take up! Go and escape!” he yelled, and turned his attention back to what was happening. “Sama, I'll see about taking care of what happened here...You try and escape!” Spork said. After all, this guy was the Avatar... Spork ran up outside, holding up his diamond sword, the light sparking off of it.. “...What in the world?” Spork muttered, seeing Skin... Teacher's Guild Remains As the gas exploded, one of the wizards created a magical barrier, keeping it contained. One of the wizards was down, while another was being attacked! “Bloody fool!” Archancellor Ridicully yelled, and whacked the demon with his staff...Very hard. As Emile faced off against the other one, he felt his animal instincts beginning to whelm back up. He adjusted his hat, remembering to not to give in. He'd need this new intelligence... As the demon charged, Emile opened his mouth and roared, using his magic to enhance the effect, effectively using a Sonic Scream! -Alexandria Countryside- “Thanks!” Sora told Allen, “You were a big help out there. By the way, my name is Sora. And don't worry about it. You did great!” He gave a thumbs up to Allen, his Keyblade disappearing in a flash of light for now. Rincewind...shivered. He was glancing to Tyki...Something was very wrong about that person. Rincewind was a wizard. Not a very good one, but he was one. That person there...It wasn't...it right. The Luggage snapped it's lid at Tyki as well. |

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Ankh-Morpork- Part of the house exploded and Crystal gave a gasp, instantly Crystal held onto Hammah tightly. She gave a small nod and turned to rush off, giving a small "Good luck" to them both before disspearing with the small boy. Crystal made it to the stairs easy enough, rushing up them while clutching the boy and trying not to fall. She knew it would only get worse though. "Now Hammah, there are very bad men up here so I need you to hold on reeeeaaaallly tight! And dont'cha worry, if they do try and mess with us I have special powers like you! Mine let me control water and i'll wash them alllll away!" Crystal sounded a lot more optimistic than she felt... Central: Ansem's House- Melanie raised a brow at Galv who obviously did not want her thinking about what she was thinking of. She frowned a bit and pinched her arm once more very hard. "Oh don't be a baby about it" she told him, obviously not understanding the reason why he didn't want her to cut herself open. "It will only hurt for a few minutes. Just take a really big breath and maybe it won't hurt as much! Putting it off isn't gonna help!" She stood up from the bed and went over to him. The boy was still holding her large plate. She picked up the knife from it. "I could use this maybe" she said, inspecting it. Small Town.... The morning shed light on a very small town, not much more than a jumble of houses and a few small shops. A strange bunch lived in this place, usually delving into things normal people stood clear of. Some had called this town a dark place, somewhere which was better left alone. They were most likely right, as rumor has it people who just walked through were often sacrificed for strange spells and incantations. Near the center of this town a small house sat A woman emerged looking rather angry. She was rather short and darkly dressed in a black dress and cloak. She had long black hair, pale skin, and the same set of intoxicating blue eyes Kanna looked around, slinging a bag over her back. Her daughter had run away from home a few days ago. She would find her. |

-Ankh-Morpork- Underground “Okay!” Hammah said, clutching Crystal tightly as they ran for it. He was worried, but felt safe in this girl's arms... He closed his eyes, trying not to use his fire bending...he didn't want to burn his new mother after all... -Central: Ansem's House- Galv rubbed his arm, in the same area she had pinched her own. “It's...it's not the pain...” Galv said, “It's...well...I already told you what I thought about this...” He sighed, then shook his head, taking the knife, “No, that knife isn't sharp enough. And it's not one you slice with. It has a serrated edge. You use it to cut meat, not bleed things...” Morbid, yes, but also accurate. -Small Town- “You know you're not going without me,” a voice sighed, waiting outside the house. He was short, not all that much taller then Kanna. He had green eyes and usually looked like he needed a shave, constant five o'clock shadow. He was wearing rather plain clothes, though he had black gloves over his hands, for reasons that will be explained later. “I'm suppose to help protect you after all, Kanna,” the man continued. Generations ago, his family had been enchanted by Kanna's. In return for power, they would have to protect Kanna's family...At least, those that had the right blood. Ethan Vire sighed, picking up a rather large pack by him without much effort, slinging it over his back, “Here, I can carry your stuff too.” |

Alexandrian countryside Perhaps all of those there were pure. Perhaps none of them were. Perhaps some were and some weren't. Regardless, Didymus thought he was feeling, or being told...a number of things about Allen. "Mixed signals", one may even say. He kept somewhat wary. He spoke after Allen's prayer. "It is good that you wish the best for that thing..." he said. "...but the fact is, there is nothing to redeem in it. It HAS no soul...'tis but sorcery that gives it drive and animation, and that thing is but a puppet, a doll, in the hands of...of whoever enchanted it. The best thing to do for both it and for everyone is to simply destroy it, exorcise it..." He knew this not just from what he could feel/hear, but from what one of the Black Waltzs had actually told Garnet when she tried to reason with it. He recognized Allen's attire, his methods...he knew that they believed that even demons could be redeemed (something he disagreed with but must be left ambigeous in the RP :heh:), but there was no need to bring that up. Just communicating the exact nature of the Black Waltz, that it basically had no real being, was enough. "I'm sorry, I didn't notice your status, Sir Paladin! I didn't think this area was under your jurisdiction, and I acted in haste to try and protect the good men and women here from that creature. I'm sorry if I have caused any sort of problem!" Didymus raised an eyebrow. "Um...that's quite alright...this area ISN'T under my jurisdiction anyway..." Indeed, the Paladin Order may not have exactly worked like that...(I.E., Vidit may not have put QUITE that level of thought into it yet XD) "...but I suppose I can thank you for the help. It was a tad convenient, to say the least, I think..." Just because he was wary doesn't mean he couldn't be cordial. "...still, our encounters here may not be over, I think..." he looked over towards where Chloe was encountering the "traveler". He was torn between a desire to go and help his sister, or remain by Garnet's side in case any surprises popped up. As it was, though, Garnet's survival maintained a pretty high priority, so he remained there, but Garnet could probably tell at this point he was still edgy... Ankh-Morpork Cyrena felt even MORE emboldened as the next creature fell-however, she was a bit stunned when the gas wrecked it havoc on some of the people in the area. "Oh my..." she said, and looked around. "Are you alright, sir?" she asked Mustang. |

Alexandrian Countryside Allen gave a small nod, looking at the place where the Blakc Waltz vanished. "... Perhaps you're right. I do not know. I saw the darkness within it, the malice, the taint. But I cannot see the light within anything. I cannot see the kindness, the purity. So I always wish the best for everything, I guess, for I truly do not know if something holds even the smallest shred of kindness." He raised his left arm, looking at it intently. "I am an exorcists. I destroy things like that. But I know that the weapons that Exorcists use are able to release the light that is trapped within the darkness when they bite into it in battle. I HAVE to believe in that. Because otherwise, the world just seems so... So... Bleak." He gave a long sigh, looking a little lost, but shaking his head to clear it right after. "It's so hard to think happy thoughts sometimes when things like that exist. So I believe that whatever intelligence the dark creature I fought held also holds some shred of light." He nodded, almost to himself, and turned, stretching a hand out to Didymus. "That's what I fight for. And no thanks is ever needed for something I am doing as a job, but you are very welcome. But enough about that, we don't need to worsen a perfectly good day! I am Allen Walker. Whom do I have the pleasure of meeting today?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ankh-Morpork [Spork Residence] Skin grinned widely, a psychotic and wider-than possible grin that should not have ever been seen on a human face. He stood, hunched over just slightly, leaning to one side and grinning, eyes wide and blank-white, white teeth forming a grin too wide for any human mouth. "Well, well! The rats the live within have finally shown themselves after their house came down! You're like the little piggies in the story, running out of houses made of straw and sticks... Like rats, like RODENTS. You infest this world, drain it like a parasite and dare to call yourselves good neighbors!" His hands crackled with lightning. "Lightning... Lightning... Lightning... Lightning. Lightning. Lightning! Lightning! Lightning! LIGHTNING! LIGHTNINGLIGHTNINGLIGHTNINGLIGHTNING!!! I WON'T FORGIVE YOU FOR YOUR TRAVESTIES!!!" And the lightning around his hands exploded forward towards Spork! As he did, Skin began to laugh! "Weak, weak, WEAKWEAKWEAK!!! EVERYTHING HERE IS WEAK!!! You're still like rats, like rodents, scuttling and scurrying about... Ugh. I hate RODENTS!!! I WON'T FORGIVE THEM!!!" And again, his lightning went off, blasting forward from his hands towards whatever remained of the Spork Residence! [Teacher's Guild Remains] The whack against the demon with molten armor... Didn't go all that well. The staff simply bounced off of the hard shell, and the demon lashed out in response with a barbed tail while biting into the wizard it had tacked, infecting him with the strange virus as well. Again, the demon leapt to the side, avoiding the powerful spells and being a direct target of said powerful spells, and headed for the next helpless victim! The other lizard that was fighting Emile had locked itself in place, the Sonic Roar shaking it as slid back a few dozen feet during the roar, but remained largely undamaged. It headed right for Emile as the roar ended, slashing with the Velociraptor, and starting a strength-based tug-of-war, each side trying to take the other down. But Demons never played fair. The lizard opened its maw... and breathed a cloud of the viral smog out at Emile! |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Alexandria Countryside- “Nothing wrong in hope,” Sora spoke up to Didymus as they talked with Allen, “If you don't have that, what do you have, huh?” He grinned slightly, and followed Didymus' gaze over to Chloe and the strange person she was talking to. “I'll go see what's up,” he offered, and headed over to Chloe. “Hey, anything wrong?” he wondered. -Ankh-Morpork- Spork Residence As the lightning flew forward, Spork stomped on the ground and moved his arms up, creating a barrier of earth. It shattered, but helped protect the house. “Who...what are you?” Spork demanded, holding his sword up, wary to attack. After all, he needed to survive, for Hammah. Teacher's Guild Ruins Ridicully used his magic, creating a shield around him from the demon. “I'm getting tired of this,” he grumbled. Another magical shield suddenly appeared around the demon creature that attacking the wizards. It then began to shrink, attempting the crush the creature within it's magical field! As the demon breathed at Emile, he held his breath, jumping backwards with his powerful legs. He instinctively knew some magic, but didn't have the training like the other wizards. Still...he was the Head of Summoning...And Laundry. But that second part probably had little to help with this. He focused his magic, a summoning circle appearing on the ground. Something...very large materialized... A Tyrannosaurus Rex stepped forward, roaring down at the demon...Then attempted to eat it. Sure, it would kill the T. Rex as well, but hey, a T. Rex appearing and eating an enemy is pretty awesome. |

Ankh-Morpork Alleyway KxS got back on the ground and looked down at her hands. ...I did it...I controlled my form. I...I can fight! she thought. “Well then! We have a mission. Find one of the people responsible...I'd like to ask some questions...” The werewolf looked up at Xehanort. "Excuse me, but...um...how do we know who's responsible?" she asked, her voice still meek. Outside the Green Dragon Inn Shimera shot a few solar beams at the demons! Sam slashed at the demons, using his new werewolf abilities to up his reflexes. The Crazy One

[Alexandrian Countryside] Chloe had a bad feeling about this man in front of her. She especially felt a cold chill when he mentioned Treno. Hadn’t Didymus mentioned Treno? She had another bad feeling, and she felt as if she was led not to trust this man. “… I’m sorry, I don’t think I can give you directions. I’ll have to ask you to leave. We’re in the middle of some very important things and now isn’t a good time for strangers to show up.” Chloe was trying to stay a bit professional and courteous… but she also wanted this man to leave. Garnet, meanwhile, looked over to Didymus and Sora. She looked pretty tired – then again, she had had a massive adventure already. She looked at the city ahead, the city where she had been raised was so close. She shook her head, and then looked over to the newcomer, Allen. It was her duty to thank him for his help. “Sir… thank you for aiding us in this battle. I appreciate it.” Garnet said with a small bow. [Aknh-Morpork] Spork Residence Sama frowned as the house shook from the explosion upstairs. He did not know what was going on, but he could not run now. Sure, distracting Amestris was one thing, but if the city was actually under attack. He ran up the stairs, and gasped at the sight of the creature. Skin was pretty horrible looking, and he seemed to be talking a lot about lightning and weak enemies. Sama really hated fighting crazy things; it was always so hard since they pretty much didn’t stop until they were beaten. “Dang… what the heck is going on? Amestris is one thing, but THIS…?” Sama narrowed his eyes. “No! I’m not letting some horrible monster destroy this city!” Main Street Mustang was not ready to give up. He snapped several times, darting around and moving quickly, trying to incinerate the monster! [Alexandria City] “I… do not know, Rikku.” Yuna admitted, still speaking loudly enough that Beatrix could overhear. “My visions led me here… but I do not know why. All I know is that I have to be here. Perhaps there is some way in the castle?” While Yuna and Rikku discussed this, Auron had paused. He leaned against a wall, and was drinking from his large jug of ale. However… he was watching Beatrix as well. He noticed the woman watching them, and it worried him. [Small Town] “Come one, come all, and be amazed by the amazing amazement of the Lord of the Lake!” A small odd creature was standing in town square, being very noisy. He stood on a box. The creature had no obvious ears or a nose, its skin was inky black and shiny, and it had very, very large yellow eyes. The creature was a Implin, a crazy subspecies that results when a goblin and a imp go drinking. His name was Shady, and he traveled from town to town, selling people the ‘privilege’ of asking the Lord of the Lake for a wish. “Come on! The Lord of the Lake is master of all waterways in the world! He can do anything! Need to find the lost treasure of Kublakhan? Need to locate that long lost brother who owes you two bucks? Want to find those keys you misplaced? Just ask the great Lord of the Lake, and wash your worries away!” Shady was, of course, a con artist. Then again, he was boasting to be able to find anyone or anything, a few feet away from a woman looking for her missing child. |

Alexandrian Countryside The man in the suit and top hat just let out a long sigh, sagging even further, shaking is head. "Well, now what am I supposed to do... I don't know where Treno is and you won't tell me, though you obviously know... Could you maybe point me to someone who DOES know? Perhaps one of your companions? Because really, I cannot be delayed much in my task." He looked at the girl suspiciously. "... Unless you know what my business is. If that is the case, please deliver this to the right person will you?" He dove into his sleeve, and pulled out... A black butterfly with purple wing edges, one which he let go as the butterfly fluttered over to Chloe and settled itself on her hand. "That is a message. If you would please deliver it to the right person? Unless you truly DON'T know what my business is, in which case the butterfly will simply flutter around for a while and return to me." He turned about and let out another long, hopeless sigh. "I suppose it was asking too much to find someone nice on the road... All I get instead are beautiful women with bad attitudes..." [---] Allen quickly put his hands up as Dagger addressed him, shaking them and his head wildly from side to side in a negative. "Nonono! I am far too young to even be called "Sir", and I really don't think I can very well fit the title. I'm just Allen Walker, or Allen if you wish to call me by name." He smiled right after, and again bowed, this time to Dagger. "And I couldn't very well ignore a battle with something as dark as that creature without offering my aid. As an Exorcist, my job is to destroy such things and to contain the darkness that always wishes to consume this world. And I like helping people. So really, I was just doing my job." He quickly looked around, eyes skimming over the surrounding soldiers and other people, blinking a few times before turning to Didymus. "Was there some sort of problem here beside the dark creature's attack?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ankh-Morpork [Main Street] Finally, after minutes of combat, Mustang got a good shot at the demon that kept annoying them, and the thing toppled to the side where it was struck by a sunbeam, and exploded, sending more of the toxic fumes in every direction, and leaving a crater behind it. [Spork Residence] The gray-skinned man just glared at his opponent after the attack was blocked. The lightning, while not at its most powerful when he fired it, would be enough to fry another building. Yet, it was blocked by this new arrival... And another mass of power emerged, showing Sama, the apparent source of this power. "... So the cowardly rats finally decide to come out of hiding and face me. YOU!!! WHAT ARE YOUR NAMES??? WHO ARE YOU???" He hunched over again, lightning playing in his hands and over his back. "And another question, more important than the others. Will you grant me a measure of satisfaction in KILLING YOU?" [Teacher's Guild Ruins] As Ridicully cast another spell, this time a constricting shield, the demon it trapped began to get compressed. Further and further it was compressed until it detonated, the Dark Matter easily blasting apart the shield and sending more of the toxic smog into the air. The last lizard, now REALLY annoyed, made a leap backwards, inhaled mightily, and sent a MASSIVE cloud of smog at the rest of the group while most of the wizards were getting their wits back after the other demon was compressed and killed. Before anything could happen, the smog formed into hundreds of small, spiked balls that began to bounce in the air, striking everything they could. Three more wizards fell to this attack as the spiked balls embedded in their skin and dissolved into the smog, infecting their blood and turning them to dust in seconds. More balls kept bouncing around, trying to get any wizard in the area! |

Alexandrian Countryside Didymus listened as Allen spoke, both to he and Garnet and hesitated, was quiet for a moment, head bowed, before looking up again. "I am Brother Didymus." he said. "I believe I recognize your affiliation, and am aware of its doctrine-at least, some of it. And obviously, MY Order tries to hunt down such things as well. But regardless...earlier. Bowing to me...isn't necessary. We Paladins bow only to God and in turn ask no one to bow to us." He chuckled a bit, then paused. Again, there were differences in their beliefs about the nature of redemption and how such things worked...but he decided against it. Time was of the essence. "...I wouldn't get depressed over that thing. Again, it's an empty, soulless vessel, like...like a machine, but one that relies on sorcery rather than science..." "...anyway..." he looked to Garnet. "Let me introduce this lady, called "Dagger"."-it was true. She had dubbed herself "Dagger" to disguise herself, and WAS called by that often about now, so it was true. "We're heading north...but I think it's about time we got going, soon, at least..." He looked to her. "Dagger?" There was another question sent his way. "Another problem...? Maybe." he didn't want to reveal what he was aware of about Allen-not EVERYTHING, at any rate. "Perhaps a couple. Either way, I think that we should probably get going..." he said. He didn't want to spill everything... Ankh-Morpork (I could be wrong, but I think Mustang's group has dealt with its current engagement, hasn't it?) Cyrena simply pressed on, faithfully sticking close to Mustang. "Where would benders be hiding?!" she asked aloud, still keeping alert. Alexandria City “I… do not know, Rikku. My visions led me here… but I do not know why. All I know is that I have to be here. Perhaps there is some way in the castle?” Rikku paused. "Hmm...you mean, like, SNEAKING in? It looks like it's pretty locked up...but maybe I could take a look around..." she said. Beatrix's eye narrowed, but she waited. It appeared one of them was watching her anyway. |

Alexandrian Countryside Allen nodded, giving a bow to this Dagger girl, wondering to himself about the strange name... A nickname more than a name, or perhaps an assumed identity. He wasn't sure which it was, but she probably had a reason to hide it. And the presence of a Paladin put his heart at ease, since Paladins were usually pretty good judges of character. However, when the other man spoke of trouble, Allen immediately reverted to his usual routine. Whenever help was required, he always did his best to actually do something about it instead of leaving the trouble alone. This case was no different. "Trouble... Maybe it's something I can help you with? I am under orders to search for one of the members of our order, but other than that I have no particularly urgent matters t attend to. If there is any way I can be of assistance, I would be delighted to help." In the meanwhile, Timpcanpy began to fly around his head again, stretching its wings as the golem fluttered around, approaching people curiously. IT spun a circle around Didymus, before stopping in front of Dagger, hovering in front of her for a few seconds and... Well, GRINNED would be the best description of the feeling that it seemed to project, though it didn't have a face to actually grin with. Then, the little golem simply fluttered around several more of the surrounding people before finally returning to Allen, then flying over to Dagger... And setting down on her head. Allen looked absolutely appalled at his golem's behavior. "Timcanpy! It's rude to simply sit down on strangers!" The golem didn't visibly respond. "Tim! Oh, come on, Tim, don't be that way! You know we have to go find my master, and you being rude to people will not make this trip any easier!" No response. "TIM!" The golem simply shuffled in the girl's hair, curling itself up into a ball, looking rather cat-like in its behavior as it settled down for a nap. Allen looked absolutely mortified. "I'm sorry! He really shouldn't be behaving that way, and he has never behaved like that before! I am SO sorry about this, miss!" |

"Get that thing off Dagger's head. NOW, please..." he said, and his tone indicated he was rather serious, and would possibly even endeavor to remove it himself if it didn't get off... ...even if it WAS harmless, he didn't want to take any chances with her...something that she may have seen as overbearing (but something that the Waltz kidnapping in Ankh-Morpork had more or less validated). |

Central: Ansem's House- Melanie groaned loudly, placing the knife back down on the plate in a huff. "I already told you that I have no problems with them and told you don't have to help me if you don't like it. I'm not afraid and I can do it on my own you know!" The little witch was getting rather worked up about this all. Well it was an important issue after all. She walked past the boy and headed into the kitchen, scrounging around for a suitable knife. "The sooner I do this the sooner I can bring my dad back. You have no clue how important this is." |
