I'll bite your legs off!

Central City, Amestris-tavern Just as that new information was sinking into Ed and Al, Hughes appeared, looking around the bar, noticing the Chasers (although he didn't know that's what they were), Galv, and, finally, Ed and Al...along with their Nihlus. He walked over, waving, and drew the orders envelope from his pocket. "Ed! Al!" he called. "There you guys are! Just where Mustang said you'd be! Hey, I've got some new orders for you and-" As he was handing Ed the envelope, he spied the red stone on the table, and looked over to Nihlus...recognizing him as a "stereotypical" black mage. "Am I...interrupting something?" he asked. "But Edward...these orders are very important..." his voice trailed off. Alexandria Castle Steiner winced, and heaved a heavy sigh. He did NOT like how this was going, but if it meant finding Garnet... ...one thought troubled him still more: Beatrix. She would doubtlessly get involved in the havoc once the plan unfolded, and that would make things rather complicated... Paladin Enclave Didymus blinked at Garnet's explanition. "Um, yes, yes, of course." he said, flushing a bit at his appearent misunderstanding of Garnet's point. Then came Oaks's command. Although they technically held equivalent ranks in the Order, Oaks was still more or less higher in its command structure if for no other reason than her experiences. "Uh, of course, Sister." he said. "I believe I know which chapel you refer to. But you DO have the elders's consent to this, right?" he asked. "And also, though, if you intend to spar, shouldn't we do it at the training grounds?" Nonetheless, he sighed, and pushed his plate forward. "Lady Garnet...may I ask a favor of you?" he said with a small smile. "Could you watch this for me until after the spar?" he asked. Of course, whether or not Garnet would come to watch said spar also was on his mind...but he kept silent about it. |

Central City Tavern Nihlus picked up his rock, inspecting it. He place on the table, and handed it to Al, who was closer. One of his yellow eyes "winked" as he turned to Hughes. He realized this guy was eying him. Nihlus was a Black Mage, and dressed in stereo typical mage esque clothing. This guy probably knew what he was. What he probably didn't know, was that Nihlus was definitely one of the stronger ones. Realizing what Heughes said, he decided to take his leave. He put a couple coins on the table for a tip to the bartender, and puffed a cloud of smoke from his pipe. "Well, I thank you two for keeping me company. An old man like me barely gets to have a nice conversation anymore. I'll be leaving now, but may our paths cross again." He took one last look at the two. Yes, he would see them again, eventually. He turned and began to walk out the bar. |

Central City Tavern Ed felt like someone had just called him a shorty and beaten him with a heavy weight. He wanted so badly to yell and scream and break things; he wanted to tell Hughes to stuff the orders back up Mustang's... but Al quickly placed a hand on Ed's shoulder and he just gritted his teeth and crossed his arms. "Thank you, Mr. Nihlus!" Al called as the mage took his leave of the two alchemists. The younger of the two brothers felt like meeting the mage was a special event. Perhaps even fate... though he decided not to mention such a thing to Edward. "Alright Hughes..." Ed snatched the envelop and tore it roughly. "Let's see what Colonel Hothead has for us this time..." Ed read the orders for a minute and groaned. "Protecting some old codger on a train? Didn't we do that already? Twice? Blah... ah, well, at least you'll be with us, Major." Ed handed the papers to Hughes. There were two sheets of orders; one for Edward, and one for Maes. Alphonse was technically a civilian and so there were no orders enclosed for him. Paladin Enclave Agrias gave a soft smile and shook her head. "Brother... if this had been my idea, we indeed would be on the training grounds; but I'm simply following Elder Orlandu's orders. In front of the Chapel, bring your sword." It would likely come as no surprise that Cid had a hand in this. The Elder was known for an unorthodox style, a dedication to training, and an unique approach to everything. "Ah, well... wait." Garnet stood up, biting her lip. She did not fancy the idea of staying in the dining hall alone... she knew very few of the Paladins, and she felt bad about asking them for so much. Besides... she wanted to see the fight. "Could I... could I come and watch?" Garnet asked Didymus. Alexandria Castle It was showtime. The doors of the Throne Room burst open, Zidane had thrown them. "Your Majesty!" Zidane ran into the room. "We've discovered something!" "What? WHAT?" Brahne demanded. "Princess Garnet... was kidnapped by a evil, nefarious, demonic Black Mage!" Zidane announced. It was part of his plan. "Say WHAT?" Brahne gasped. "You have proof of this?" Zidane nodded; and suddenly the window exploded open. A Black Mage slowly jumped in through the broken window. He was no taller than a child, and he seemed somewhat nervous. "Um... I am... the kidnapper! Um... Princess Garnet is my prisoner! Um... Ha... Ha ha!" Vivi was nervous about his part. In truth, he was no kidnapper -- he was a young black mage with no memory of his past, whom Zidane had rescued two years earlier in Alexandria. The two had become friends, and Zidane had enlisted his help in the charade. Brahne roared. "Capture him!" Vivi nervously shot a small fireball from his hands, causing most of the knights to fall back. Then, Vivi turned and ran out of the room. Zidane struck a dramatic pose. "No worries, Queen! Steiner, Sora, Kairi and I shall capture that fiend! No need to send back up!" Zidane chased Vivi out of the room. |

Paladin Enclave-dining hall Didymus smiled at Garnet. Interested in seeing how her newly-assigned guardian performs, is she? he thought. He was both gladdened and made nervous by Garnet's wish to see the spar. "Yes, yes, certainly." he said. "Although you'll have to keep in mind, sometimes, a Paladin's blessings don't fully manifest until they're actually in a real situation, and not just training..." With that, he picked up his plate. "Come along, then, if you please. Sister,", he said to Agrias, ",see you in a few minutes." With that, he, if Garnet were to follow, began making his way to the front of the chapel Oaks meant. Paladin Enclave-outside a chapel "Pick a spot, lady." Didymus said. "I don't know exactly what's going to happen, but get comfortable, I suppose. And also, if I may ask..." he held his plate, which still had remnants of his dinner on it, grinning somewhat sheepishly. "...could you watch this for me until after whatever's happening, please? Finishing it all before any spar or something would be...heheh...unwise." Central City, Amestris-tavern Hughes looked intrigued. "Me too? Well, okay...but I seriously hope he doesn't expect me to do TOO much...I AM a desk jockey, after all." he chuckled. "What exactly does he say, anyway? I mean, I haven't looked at those." he added. Alexandria Castle Steiner was looking visibly glum. "Stop...kidnapper!" he yelled, but not too enthusiastically. He was a bad actor. Nonetheless, he quickly ran after Vivi with surprising quickness-maybe he just wanted to get out of Brahne's sight. As they dashed through the halls, however, another person joined the chase, her single exposed eye containing a cold, intent glare. "HALT!" Beatrix cried at Vivi. She actually ran and, with much more agility than the heavy-plate-mail-clad Steiner, jumped past Vivi! Standing in front of him, she drew her blade, and stared down towards him, deadly earnest. In a calm, icy voice, she spoke. "Halt. NOW." she said. |

Seaside Town "Come on, Yunie! You don't have to look so excited!" a girl laughed, as she walked up to Yuna. She had blonde hair and green swirled eyes, and her outfit consisted of an orange top and green shorts. The girl had been busy looking around at the quiet town before them, checking out the new place she and Yuna had traveled to. "Anyways, we should get going with whatever we came here for!" Rikku then added, jumpimg up with fist-pump into the air, trying to somewhat deemphasize the point that she didn't quite remember why they came to Seaside Town in the first place... |

Central City Tavern “Well of course I need you to come with me!” He said to Crystal with a grin. “They’d stop calling Ansem ‘the Wise’ if he let me handle anything this important by myself.” Crystal couldn't help but to laugh with a smile at Sama's remark, he always had a way of making even serious tasks a little bit more relaxed and worry free. Of course the girl also knew he could get to business when need be. "Well than that's settled" She announced happily "If it's allright with you of course" she added looking to Ansem. |

-Central City Tavern- “Of course you and Sama should work together,” Ansem chuckled at them, “And young Sama, be wary for what you wish for. Action and adventure may sound like fun…But it can take it’s toll… “After all, there is the ancient curse… ‘May you live in interesting times,’” Ansem sighed, standing up, “For now, I have more business to attend to.” He turned and headed outside, pausing, “Good luck, Sama. You too, Crystal.” As Ansem left, the red haired young man watched him go, then turned his attention to the young alchemist and magic user who had the remains of a Philosopher’s Stone… -Alexandria- Cess led them to Alexandria from the evil forest… “Here it is…Alexandria…Be careful though,” Cess said. Xehanort sighed, looking around. “I can sense him…the boy who took my Keyblade…” Xehanort said, “That way…” He pointed to the castle… |

Paladin Enclave: In Front Of An Old Chapel Garnet nodded and, taking the plate in hand, went to sit on the steps outside the Chapel. To her surprise, she was joined by Elder Orlandu a moment later. "Nice to see you again, Princess." Cid nodded. "Elder... why did you arrange this, if you do not mind my asking?" Garnet was curious. Cid grinned. "A long... LONG time ago, when I was a freckled-faced youth, I used to come to this particular Chapel every day. I like it here... and I like training out front. That's all." Agrias stood at the other end of the long cobblestone road, holding her sword at her side. Seaside Town Yuna turned to her cousin Rikku and gave a small, half-hearted grin. "You're right... now isn't the time to stop moving." The young summoner, though, could not be as cheerful as Rikku. She had fought so hard to get permission to sail to the mainland, and now that she was here, she wondered if she would ever find what she was looking for. For several months, Yuna had been suffering odd dreams. A silhouette of some unknown person seemed to be calling her name, asking for help, as that person was consumed by a terrible darkness. After so many nights of the same dream, Yuna felt it had to mean something. Someone in the mainland was in need of her help... and despite her never having been here before, she felt she knew this person. "Well... I suppose we should get going." Yuna wondered now exactly where she should go. Central City Tavern "Yeah, yeah, see ya pops." Sama waved as Ansem departed. He knew that the Wise One only had said that because he was concerned, but sometimes it was hard to worry about that kind of stuff. Sure, adventure was dangerous... but it beat boredom any day. Besides, Sama had a lot to do if he was going to live up to some of his predecessors. "Well, alrighty then! I guess we have a firebender... or something... to find." He paused, and then sweat dropped. "Erm... any ideas?" [...] Ed shrugged his shoulders. Mustang always had to find a way to screw up his plans. Casting a glance at Hughes, he answered: "We're supposed to meet some General on a train. Play babysitter... Bah! Shouldn't a general be able to take care of himself?" Ed was in a foul mood, now. A solid lead on the Philosopher's Stone, and he couldn't follow it up... yet. Alexandria Castle Vivi yelped as Beatrix appeared before him, brandishing the sword. He started to shake, but he Zidane had saved his life once, and now his friend needed his help. So, as scary as it was, Vivi would have to do what he had to do. "... F... Fi... Fire!" Vivi managed to yell, and suddenly his hands were aglow with light and he sprayed flames from his palms in Beatrix's direction. For such a distinguished warrior as Beatrix, the flames were no real danger -- but it would at least buy him the time to curve around her and continue running. A second later, Zidane blazed by. He paused and jumped back for a moment, looking to Beatrix. "Okay, I know this isn't the time, but after we save your Princess you and I should totally go out for drinks." The youth grinned. While it wasn't that far-fetched that Zidane Tribal would be flirting during such a moment, that was not his true intention this time. While his hands were at his side, his tail was stealthily spreading the contents of a small jar on the floor. It was his best attempt at distracting Beatrix so his plan could work. Zidane waved to her and ran off... and a few seconds afterwards, the thing he'd let loose from the jar started to shake and move. It was a monster. A monster called Flan. |

(XD, flan.) Alexandria Three ordinary looking men were talking in the center of the town. "Dang, no one here knows what a keyblade is." One said. "The master's going to be pretty angry if we don't bring back solid info." The second grumbled. "The library! We should check the library." The first replied. "Uh, guys." The third mumbled. "Curses, what did that old geezer in the forest say?" The second continued. "Guys, the old guys right there!" The third shouted. "Ah!" The first said, his eyes widened. "How did they get out?" The third asked. "I have no earthly idea. But let's watch them." The second said quietly. All three stood their, faces down, watching the group. They were the trio from the forest. Central City-Amestries Nihlus wandered down the streets, looking at the shops and people as they went about. He saw the alchemists and people coming from the nearby towns. It seemed like an ordinary day. |

Paladin Enclave-outside an old chapel After thanking Garnet, Didymus had stood, head bowed, preparing for the spar, or whatever was going to occur. However, Garnet would soon find that not one, but two of the Order's elders had joined her on the chapel steps. Elder Galahad smiled at both Garnet and Cid, and spoke. "Good to see you again, indeed, lady. Ah yes, I remember you coming here all the time, Cid. I always used to see you here...that WAS long ago, wasn't it?" he chuckled. "Cid, I must thank you for arranging this..." he said. "...I wonder if it is indeed the best idea to press Brother Didymus so hard the day before he sets out...but watching how the younger ones in the Order fare and develop always gladdens me...besides, perhaps it is good that lady Garnet gets a chance to see how her escort fares in combat, even if this is only a spar." he said with a slight grin. "Oh, I'm sure that Didymus's elder brother would want to see this...but he's already deployed." he added. Finally, Didymus raised his head and stood tall, and it seemed a new demeanor had come over him. It was the same one he had had on the cart during the flight from Alexandria: rather than sociable and encouraging (or so he had tried to be earlier), it was earnest and alert. He spoke, his voice respectful, but still earnest and firm. "Elder Galahad, Elder Orlandu, Sister Oaks..." he said. "...is it time? If I may ask, what is this activity, what shall occur, what are the rules?" he asked. Central City, Amestris-tavern Hughes took the orders from Ed, and looked them over. "Ah, yes..." he said. "Generals can be the target of many people, Ed, and the train we're supposed to be on LEAVES IN MINUTES?!" he exclaimed, as he read further along. "COME ON! WE'VE GOTTA GO!" With that, he grabbed Ed's arm and started running. Alexandria Castle Beatrix sidestepped Vivi's flames easily enough, and as he ran by, she swung at him...he barely avoided losing a piece of his ear, and Beatrix was about to pursue him-in fact, she was doing so-when Zidane made his pass at her. Now, this was not the first time someone had flirted with Beatrix. Despite her lack of two functioning eyes, she was rather attractive, earning the nickname, "The Rose of Alexandria". However, ever since she reached her rank, and her reputation spread, another nickname spread with it, less poetic and longer:"The cold-blooded woman who silences even the crying infant"; a name which didn't lend itself to many suitors. With that in perspective, it is understandable that she was taken slightly aback by Zidane's advance...but what WAS his tail doing, anyway? And why had he stopped in the middle of the pursuit?! And, finally, WHY WAS A FLAN SUDDENLY IN THE HALLWAY?! Something was amiss...she could tell. Hatching a suspicion (and a plan) on the fly, she called out: "Steiner!" she yelled. "Deal with the flan, I'll continue pursuit!" Steiner was taken aback. "What am I supposed to do against a FLAN?!" he demanded. "JUST DO IT!" Beatrix's fast-departing voice called back to him. Steiner winced. Oh no, this wasn't going according to plan at all, not if suspicion was being built... ...finally, he continued running after Vivi. "I am the princess's bodyguard, and the Knights of Pluto report directly to the queen! You cannot order me around, I must pursue the princess's kidnapper!" he said. Beatrix winced. So Steiner was refusing to comply...this was both strange...but also normal enough behavior for him... As a some guards began to surround the flan, the pursuit continued, although Zidane's stunt HAD bought Vivi some ground...another reason that Beatrix was starting to get suspicious... Meanwhile, Steiner had concerns of his own... Where, exactly, are we running to? he thought. Alexandria City An old elf, a necromancer, a human adventurer, and a star-maiden. An unusual combination. The sun was setting, and the crowds were thinning, but again, said unusual combination may have noticed that the town's guards were all female. It was another example of how Alexandrian culture differed from Galdwinian or Amestrisian culture. Finally, a young man clad in some light plate mail could be seen, and saw Xenahort, Cess, Shimera, and Sam. "YOU FOUR!" he said, pointing at them and running up. "You're not from around here! I can tell because I know the names of every girl in town, and I don't recognize YOU!" he pointed at Shimera. "Weimar, Knights of Pluto!" he introduced himself. "Have ANY of you seen Princess Garnet around?!" he asked, showing them a small portrait of her. "She went missing not long ago!" he said. |

Central City Tavern Crystal thought for a second, hand on her chin and concentrating. When she drew a blank she sighed. "Well I supose we should maybe ask around a bit, see if the locals have seen anyone that meets the firebender-but not a firebender description. Of course we can't make it look like we're looking for him for anything bad....Who knows what connections he may have." Resembool Eva just about had a heart attack as Winry practically tore apart the machine she had spent her blood, sweat, and tears creating. Every now and then the girl just had to look away, so that she wouldn't totally freak out and run out of Winry's house in a panic. Finally when the comotion died away the teen looked back and gasped. Her bike was not in shambles, but actually sitting just as it had been, just with a slightly bigger engine. Eva leaned down to check it out and smiled. She would never be able to afford a piece like this on her own....It was so perfect. The shine, the feel, Eva could feel her grin coming back. Standing back fully she sat upon the bike and revved the engine to life. It gave a loud noise starting off but after that....Nothing....Well nothing compared to what it sounded like before. "Woooooooooow. Impressive......REALLY impressive. I guess that explains why you're one of the best" |

(*attempts to keep RP alive in GS's absence*) Central City Tavern Into the tavern strode a figure. She was clad in all black, which contrasted greatly with her pale skin and equally black hair. She surveyed the tavern, her eyes resting on Sama and Crystal for a moment, or at least, looking in their direction, and then again on Galv, but she grunted a sound of disappointment, before speaking to the hunched, wider figure standing beside her. "He's not here...let's go." she said. Resembool An older voice sounded out from upstairs. "Winry? Is there someone here?" it said. Down the stairs came a shorter, elderly woman with large glasses. She grunted warmly (yes, I know how strange that sounds) upon seeing Eva, and, looking over the scene in the room, she made a few guesses. "Well, Winry's found a new machine to tinker with? I seriously hope she hasn't upset you. But can I ask your name, stranger?" she said. |

Central City Tavern Crystal couldn't help but notice as a dark figure entered the bar, seemingly surveying the bar scene. It wasn't really that this was a strange thing because the figure seemed dark and overall creepy--no there were plenty of those kind of people in the tavern-- but instead that she was a woman. Crystal looked back catching the woman's eye for only a second before turning and looking back to her table and Sama. She shivered slightly and took a quick sip out of the cup she had given Sama trying to look natural. She shuddered. What in the world possessed her to get that horrible drink? Resembool At the sound of a new voice Eva looked up the stairs. The voice came from a small lady, whom Eva could only guess was Winry's grandmother. Instantly a smile came to the young mechanic's face as she turned to the woman, giving a short bow. "Hello, uh my name is Eva. Eva Wei." She greeted clumsily, but as polite as she could make it. Because of the sheer amount of time living on her own Eva wasn't to fine tuned with her manors. She then looked to her now modified bike and shook her head. "It alright, she didn't mess it up or anything. She actually fixed it, really well!" |
