[Laboratory Five] Winry looked over to Eva, and then back to the brothers. “I agree, this place is creepy… and worst of all, it’s still dangerous! I don’t know what those things were, but if they come back we could be in real danger, so let’s GO!” Winry forced Ed and Al to get up. The brothers both felt a bit awkward, both because they had endangered Winry and her friend, and because of their argument… the woman who looked liked their mother… Just as she was forcing them into the tank (what other vehicle did the group have?), Ed spotted something. His jaw went slack. “Come on, shorty, get in the tank!” Winry demanded, but Ed push back. “No, wait, Winry stop!” Ed pushed his way past her, staring over at the stone laying on the ground. “Al… Al that’s it… that’s the Philosopher’s Stone…” Ed ran forward, even as Winry tried to hold him back. The boy did not notice Beatrix, though… all he saw was the stone he had sought for years, now in his grasp… [Central City – Mustang’s Limo] In the back seat of Mustang’s classic car, he and Hughes sat. By now, Mustang was trying to dress his wound. He had closed it with his flames, but leaving a large chunk of your flesh burnt wasn’t really the best medical attention available… "So, do you want me to tell you how much trouble we're in now, or would you like some time to rest up and get a stiff drink ready first?" Mustang raised his eyebrow. “Don’t be so negative, Maes. We’re not dead yet. We still have a chance to get out of it.” He sat back, crossing his hands. “For one thing, no one can ascertain Bradley’s cause of death. His body was destroyed. Similar to Scar’s victims. Not only that, but don’t forget that earlier tonight we had reports of the Avatar being witnessed, alive and in our city. We also had the fire at Central Library…” Mustang looked tired, injured… and confident. “We blame Bradley’s death on Scar, and then when I catch Scar, I will be heralded as the hero who tracked down the Fuhrer’s killed… a more ironic path to power I can’t think of.” Riza was driving… she was injured too, but she had dressed her wound and seemed to be alright. [Treno] As the miasma dragon attacked, Valefor was consumed in black-blue flames. The dragon’s flames burnt at the giant bird, and Valefor cried out in pain. She shot backwards, using her superior speed to avoid at least some of the pain. “Valefor…” Yuna looked to Rikku, very worried. “She can’t win this…” Valefor, now flying back away from the miasma dragon, spun around and sent forth a powerful burst of wind at the miasma dragon. [Ankh-Morpork] As they entered the city, Garnet looked around. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before in her life. “W-Wow…” Garnet took a step forward, her jaw having dropped again. She was still riddled with burden and upset about so much of what was going on… but this was awe inspiring… “A magic shop!” Garnet gasped, suddenly running forward and disappearing into a small shop. Nothing has to happen here if AGOI has other plans, but if not there can be some random mischief. […] At another gate, Sama (and presumably Crystal and Garet) gasped and reached the gate. He looked around in the city, and then rubbed the back of his neck. “We’re here… oh man. Now where should we go?” |

Ankh-Morpork Garnet looked awed. Surely this was no more impressive than Alexandria City? Didymus thought not. Surely Garnet had seen sights she found more impressive than this? Didymus had seen sights he had found more impressive, but he and Garnet doubtlessly had different preferences. “A magic shop!” "Princess!" "Dagger!" Both Didymus and Steiner dashed into the shop in pursuit of Garnet. Didymus had a bad feeling about whatever was about to go down. Garnet may see them as obnoxious and not giving her too much space...and on the other end of the scale, she could be kidnapped or hurt while they weren't looking. The Paladin and the knight dashed into the shop, (Didymus being somewhat put off by the magic and such), and looked around, hoping to spot Garnet (and quickly get beside her again). Treno The dragon swooped up after Valefore, but the wind currents she beat at it slowed its accent, and it had to flap its wings a bit more, roaring once again as it missed-still snapping its jaws Valefore's way and beating its wings in pursuit! Rikku looked to Yuna, and to the battle in the air again. "Come on, Yunie...don't give up!" she said. That was her nature, after all-don't get gloomy no matter what happens. She was unsure about just what would happen, though. She knew very little about summons and miasma and all that stuff. That dragon did look scary, though. Central City, Amestris Mustang's limo Hughes listened as Roy spoke. He had a lot of good points. "One more thing..." he said. "...does anyone know that YOU came to Lab 5? Or that Bradley did? Because the only offical record there is that I know of is that the Elrics and I took some soldiers to the lab to investigate." “We blame Bradley’s death on Scar, and then when I catch Scar, I will be heralded as the hero who tracked down the Fuhrer’s killed… a more ironic path to power I can’t think of.” "Scar's victims USUALLY have their bodies intact...just their heads gone. But still, I guess that's not a bad idea. Again, with the library fire and the avatar sighting...yeah, I guess those were really blessings in disguises, hmm? Anyway, I know the senior staff will convene to discuss what to do when word of Bradley's death gets out. How can we benefit from this? I doubt you can seize power yet, but we can still do some good, right? Like catching Scar. Especially if we can really blame Bradley's death on him. Or what about the Bending Avatar? We can say he destroyed Lab 5 and that the dear leader tried heroically to stop him..." He chuckled. "You know, you're right...depending on what happens, maybe you won't be in quite as much trouble as I thought." he said. Lab 5 "Haste!" Beatrix cried, her magic speeding her again. That, and her longer legs combined to get her to the red stone right in front of Ed's eyes. She quickly grabbed it up and whirled around, sprinting in hopes of losing any pursuers... |

-Ansem's House- “But then you'd be gone...Wouldn't people miss you?” Galv wondered, “Wouldn't your mom? Or your brother? Heck...I know we've just met but...I know I'd miss you...” He sighed slightly, “Maybe...maybe it was just his time...” -Outside Ankh-Morpork- Angua paused, waiting as Kxs approached. When she was close enough... “Wait, can we talk this out? We don't have to fight...” Angua said, carefully. She didn't want to kill this girl. After all, she was older, in better shape, and had more experience fighting, both human and canine... -Ankh-Morpork Gate- When the group got to the gate, Sora knocked on the door. “Yes? Commander Vimes? Back already?” a voice wondered, a slot moved, two eyes peering at them. “...Who are you lot?” the voice wondered. “...Travelers...” Sora said. “Are you from the train?” Sora paused, then shook his head, “No. Why, what happened to the train?” “No bother then. Are you an invading horde?” “There's only...” Sora paused, counting the group, “six of us.” “I've seen one man be a horde before.” “Well, no, we're not,” Sora sighed. “Pity. A horde could really put some more money into our infrastructure. Well, come on in.” Sora blinked, as the gate opened up, to let them in... -Lab 5- Sheba walked forward, towards the alchemists, Jenna behind her. “What were those things?” Sheba wondered, “They weren't human, I know that...Can you explain?” |

-Ansem's House- “Maybe...maybe it was just his time...” "No! It couldn't have been" Melanie exclaimed, before quieting down considerably. She frowned, looking a little bothered. "It must have been some sort of mistake, or accident. My mom hasn't stopped blaming herself for whatever happened so it couldn't have been natural. " The girl sighed "She really wants this. She'd probably be happier with me if I could bring him back" -Ankh-Morpork Gate- The group was now in Ankh Morpork, a city that looked like so many Crystal had seen before. Yet she was EXTREMELY happy to see it. It meant for a short time they could hide in the crowds and be safe. She followed the others. |

-Ansem's House- “But...you'd be dead...” Galv said, “I mean...I never knew my parents, but, wouldn't your mom be sad to see you gone then?” He sighed, looking at a book in his hands. He felt worried now, but also, bothered...sad...The same thing Melanie was feeling, but they were probably feeling that for different reasons. “What if it's impossible to bring someone back? There's lots of necromancers through history, and none of them have managed to beat death completely either...” Galv sighed. He was tempted to take Melanie's hand, but he fought the urge. Why did he want to help this girl so much though? What was it about her? Was it part of the bond? He didn't know. He'd have to ask Ansem later. “If none of these books have an answer...what are you going to do next?” -Ankh-Morpork- It was quiet, being night. Some people were up, committing crimes (with Guild backing), killing people (also with Guild backing), and various other things. “Don't head into the Shades,” Colon told the group. Garet appeared with Crystal and Sama, to sneak in as well, now no longer invisible. “Guess we need to find an inn to stay at now...” Sora said, looking around. |

[Ankh-Morpork] Garnet had run down the hall of the shop, looking at various spell books, crystals, gems and other magical items. Her eyes were wide, and her mind was suddenly flying. She had picked up a book on summoning – but quickly put it down when she realized it was nothing but garbage and old superstition that even someone as amateur as she could identify as false. “Look!” She turned to Didymus and Steiner as they arrived. She held a short red rod with a white jewel adorning the top. “It’s a Mage’s Rod! I’ve always wanted one… I’m going to buy it! It might increase my magical powers.” [Ankh-Morpork Gate] Sama watched the exploits at the gate and he blinked. When the guard let them in, he heaved a sigh of relief. Looking around the streets and shops, he was suddenly feeling a bit better… they would be safer here. He looked to Crystal. “Have you ever been here before? I haven’t… but I’ve heard it’s a really interesting place.” When Sora mentioned an inn, Sama nodded. “We really should… but I bet a town like this has one!” [Lab 5] Edward let loose a string of profanity that could have rivaled any of his previous strings of profanity from height comments. He clapped his hands together and slammed them against the ground – spikes of stone shot up in several places, seemingly chasing Beatrix! [Mustang’s Limo] "...does anyone know that YOU came to Lab 5? Or that Bradley did? Because the only offical record there is that I know of is that the Elrics and I took some soldiers to the lab to investigate." “Of course not.” Hawkeye answered immediately from the front seat. “According to the Colonel’s official itinerary, he is inspecting Breda’s office. Breda will back that up.” Mustang sat back in the car and closed his eyes, thinking about Hughes’ other points. “… Not all of Scar’s victims only lose a head. Many have extensive damage to their bodies. The ones who fight back often look like they were force-fed a grenade. Still, we could blame this on the Avatar too.” He shook his head. “… Whoever we blame it on, when I catch them, it will solidify my chances. This is it, Hughes. Catching the Fuhrer’s killer will cement myself as a legend. I’ll be too popular with the people for them to turn me down.” [Treno] With a great cry, Valefor was bitten by the miasma dragon! The great beast attempted to peck at the dragon, but Yuna saw that she was in trouble. Valefor was speed. While she was more than enough to cripple an entire army of human enemies with her laser beams, her physical attacks were weak – and she could not use them this close to the dragon. Yuna spun her staff and Valefor vanished, breaking into several glowing balls. “… Rikku… I have to… I’ll have to summon a far stronger Ediolon…” |

-Ansem's House- “But...you'd be dead...” Galv said, “I mean...I never knew my parents, but, wouldn't your mom be sad to see you gone then?” Melanie obviously had a different view on death than Galv, which was natural considering her upbringing. The girl had been raised by a mother who could be described as evil at best. But she was her mother and because of this Melanie wanted nothing more to make her happy and prove her worth. Bringing back her dad would do that. "Maybe" she finally answered "But she would be more happy to see my dad" It was a dark thought, but Melanie was a relitively dark girl. She smiled, trying to lighten the dark mood. "But it's okay, really. I'm fine with it!" -Ankh-Morpork- While it was late, and she wanted to be safe Crystal was a bit entranced by the bright lights of the city. It was all nothing new, but exciting none the less. "We can't go out for a bit...I mean there are crowds, maybe we can see the shops or get a drink or something?" |

Ankh-Morpork “Look! It’s a Mage’s Rod! I’ve always wanted one… I’m going to buy it! It might increase my magical powers.” Steiner nodded. "As you wish, princess. If you believe you are ready for it...but do you have any money on you?" Didymus was reflecting-Garnet looked very interested, even enthusiastic-dared he think it, happy-in what she was doing-that being shopping. He would have been grinning had it not been a shop of magic. Instead, even as Garnet presented the Mage's Rod to them-he would admit it certainly LOOKED nice, even if he was opposed to its use and function-he looked...well, sheepish. "Um...are you sure you want...you know, should I even bring it up?" he asked. "Your objections are noted." Steiner said in a slight deadpan. There was another thing Didymus remained silent about-the fact that his pack contained a considerable amount of Amestris cenz. As Ankh-Morpork doubtlessly accepted all kinds of currency, he doubted the funding they had would not cover the cost of the rod-yet he was reluctant to open the wallet entrusted to him for the purchasing of a magical item. ...he hoped that either Garnet would lose interest, or that she would forget the money-or even that she had some of her own-just not force him to fund the purchase. Getting nervous over spending money on your lady? he thought. She's not my lady, and it's perfectly justifiable why I'm nervous. his own thoughts answered. But you want her to be YOUR lady, don't you? Stop it. Arguing with himself in his head? ...it happened. Regardless, at least Garnet seemed to be enjoying herself. He WAS glad about that-even if he objected to the means. Lab 5 Beatrix heard a loud stream of curses, and suddenly, spikes were shooting at her! She actually whirled, her visible eye clearly showing the cold demeanor she was known for, and drew her sword. "What reason do you quarrel with ME, boy?" she asked-or rather demanded. No comments about his height-yet, at least. Mustang's limo “… Whoever we blame it on, when I catch them, it will solidify my chances. This is it, Hughes. Catching the Fuhrer’s killer will cement myself as a legend. I’ll be too popular with the people for them to turn me down.” Hughes nodded. "I don't know if it will be that simple...besides, what if the brass double-crosses you? Or even...tries to deal with you, seeing you as a threat? Whatever we do, we better tread lightly, carefully-make our moves deliberately and precisely. Even if the people support you...well, since when has the popular opinion ever influenced how this country runs?" he asked. "Still, it's a good plan...a good step forward. Just the danger you're in will increase. HOWEVER...there's something else we may be able to use to our advantage." He looked about. They were in a car, but what he was about to say would be a death sentence for him if anyone in the Amestris military outside of Mustang's conspiracy heard it. "The Fuhrer is gone. The generals will be meeting. All of them. Do you know what that means? It means that Galdwin will send in the Rangers. All of our command staff will be here, so they'll see this opportunity to try to wipe it all out with a concentrated covert operation or two. We can expect assassination attempts to be made when the generals arrive-maybe even bombings of the meeting room. The whole nine yards-posioned meals, snipings, stabbings, you name it, the Galdwinian Ranger Corps will be out for all of them, and they all know it. As a colonel, you MAY be able to escape their notice-they'll be focusing on the command staff, after all. Even if they DO target you...you can still use this to your advantage. Have a few "errors" in the security for anyone who may be planning to do you in." He sighed. "I really hate to be like this...but this may be the best-and only-shot you have at getting into the Fuhrer's chair-at least, while there's still an Amestris to be Fuhrer of." he said. "Again, this is a national catastrophe-the Fuhrer gone, attacks in Central, the generals pulled away from leading our armies...mark my words, Roy, if this country doesn't get its act together, Galdwin's armies will be here before we know it." Treno The miasma dragon looked confused when Valefore suddenly disappeared. It looked around wildly, trying to find its opponent...it swooped down, buzzing the area where Yuna was-just then, a magic bolt slammed into it! The dragon whirled around-and didn't see where the bolt had come from...which was exactly Belleza's plan. A black mage in the city had gotten the dragon's attention, then hid-the dragon DID, however, see a girl with a staff out in the open... Rikku paused. "Uh...Yunie...heh...whatever you're gonna do, do it qui-AH!" The dragon slammed into the square they were in and let out a huge roar! It clearly wasn't a very serene creature. Despite her earlier scream, Rikku composed herself, and ran in front of Yuna, removing a small spherical object from her belt... "SUMMON QUICK!" she called, |

-Ansem's House- Galv frowned, finding himself being angry at Melanie's mother, a woman he had never met. “If she doesn't appreciate you, then she doesn't deserve your help,” Galv said simply. “You should...just find someone else who would appreciate you.” -Ankh-Morpork- In the magic shop, an old man with a wrinkling head and bright orange gi appeared by Garnet, Steiner, and Didymus. “Why hello, and welcome to my shop!” the Old Man said with a smile, “I see you are interested in that staff, yes? It is very finely made.” He paused, looking over the males now. “Oh ho ho! A knight and a Paladin! Rare sights here in Ankh-Morpork. We don't even have any Paladins peddling their religion with other ones here. Quite odd, we usually bring a lot of different people into this city,” the Old Man said, waving his hand idly, “If you two aren't interested in magic, I do have some refreshments.” Back outside, Garet was marveling at all the buildings and things to see. “Ohhhh...I wonder if any restaurants are open...” “There's lots of inns, most likely,” Sora spoke up, “Though I think part of the group went into that shop over there...” |

Quite odd, we usually bring a lot of different people into this city,” the Old Man said, waving his hand idly, “If you two aren't interested in magic, I do have some refreshments.” Didymus raised an eyebrow. How could he tell he was a Paladin? He had his overcloak on...oh well. "I should hope that none of my brothers were PEDDLING the gospel-to treat it as but a commodity to be sold rather than good news to be proclaimed in love would most certainly be wrong. Make no mistake, sir, I respect your right to operate such a busniess as this in this city-even if I believe it's wrong. I would have thought we had some people here for the purpose of preaching, though..." he said, thinking. "Oh, and I'm aware that there have been instances in history where "peddling" would be a mild term for describing what was happening with people claiming to profess the faith. Neither I nor the Order condone such corruption." he added. He was a bit on edge, it seemed, but wanted to cover all his bases, so to speak. "We shan't trouble you for hospitality-though it is a most generous offer." Steiner said. "...thank you anyway." Didymus said. "...we're just with the young lady." he gestured at Garnet. |

The Crazy One

((Sorry this post took so long! I got more work to do for our show!)) [Ankh-Morpork] Sama looked over to Crystal as she mentioned seeing the shops. In all honesty, he wouldn’t mind grabbing a bite to eat, or buying a few things. It had been a crazy day – full of explosions, his Avatar state, and lots and lots of people trying to kill them. “We probably SHOULD go to the inn… but I have to admit, I’d love to unwind a little…” Sama rubbed his neck. There was no way he could sleep at the moment. He looked around… there were all sorts of shops, taverns, restaurants and various other places. “… I think… I think we should kill some time.” He said, hopeful that the others would agree. […] In another part of Ankh-Morpork, Ivan and Felix had finally gotten away from the library and the orangutan librarian. When? How? If GS remembered things like that, he’d have them there. “… Nothing. Not a single book about the Lighthouses…” Felix sighed, his visage fallen. “It’ll be okay, Felix.” Ivan reassured him. “We only checked part of the library… we can check the rest tomorrow.” […] Garnet admired the rod for a few minutes, but clearly seemed put off by both Didymus and Steiner’s reaction to it. Steiner was as stuffy as ever… and she could tell instantly that Didymus did not approve. Still, while she was a bit put off by it, she could not allow it to bother her. She was on a quest to learn to control summons, some of the strongest magical creatures around. If Garnet did not strengthen her magic, in her view, they had already failed. Suddenly, Garnet dropped the rod she had been looking at and ran to a display case. “That… it’s a Multina Racket! These are supposed to be great long-range Rods… It should let me cast magic from a greater distance, AND I can throw balls of light as a weapon! I simply have to buy it!” Garnet had made up her mind. She turned to the Old Man with a polite smile. “Sir, I must purchase this Racket! Tell me, what is your price?” [Lab 5] Ed narrowed his golden eyes dangerously. He clapped his hands again, but paused before transmuting anything else. “Lady… you have no idea how many years I’ve spent looking for that stone in your hands… it’s way more important to me than you can imagine, so just hand it over; OR I’LL TAKE IT!” He put his hand to the wall and transmuted it. He turned the various stones and metals in the wall, rearranged them and formed a gigantic spear, which he held in front of him. Ed would not let the Philosopher’s Stone escape his reach. [Mustang’s Limo] Mustang listened to Hughes and he thought about what he said. It was true, with the top general’s meeting, Galdwin would be out for blood. Not just them, either – anyone with a bone to pick with Amestris (which was essentially the entire continent) now had an opportunity to attack. If Roy was a different kind of man, he could have simply done away with command staff himself. He had just killed the Fuhrer – and he could kill the top brass if he started planning now. Yet Roy could do neither. “… No, Hughes. I can’t do that. Bradley was one thing, that insane bastard was leading our country to ruin… and, it seems, he wasn’t human but a puppet of the Sorceress.” Roy had yet to reflect on THAT development. Bradley was a homcunulus, and the Sorceress had appeared to destroy him. It was… unsettling. Still, it removed any guilt Roy might have had for killing his country’s leader.” “If we discover that someone else in the brass is involved in whatever the hell conspiracy the Sorceress is cooking up, then letting them die – or killing them – is a viable option. However, I intend to end the bloodshed Hughes, not create more. If I rise in a coup d'état, it’s only a matter of time until some hotshot young officer is planning MY assassination.” Mustang chuckled grimly. “… No. I’ll protect the Brass to the best of my abilities, and I shall find a way to rise to the top.” Riza listened to every word, but did not comment. [Treno] Yuna looked up as the dragon landed in front of her. It let loose a huge roar that shook the streets and rattled the windows. Nobles hiding indoors could be heard screaming and shouting and sobbing. The young summoner Yuna, despite being very afraid, did not falter. She stood strong in front of the miasma dragon and danced again; this time summoning something far stronger. The mighty dragon, Bahamut, appeared. Yuna and Rikku were behind it, the miasma dragon was in front of it. “… Rikku, stand back.” Yuna warned her cousin. Bahamut was among the most powerful* of all summons. [size0] *=Seriously, Bahamut’s power is to spit what equates to nuclear explosions at you. I’m not making that up. His power is ‘Mega Flare’, and the original ‘Flare’ used to be known as ‘Nuke’. HE SPITS NUKES! |

-Ankh-Morpork- Old Man's House of Magic and Lemonade “Ohohoho, don't be so uptight, young man,” Old Man grinned, patting Didymus on the shoulder, “I don't practice magic either. Wildly unpractical for the most part. Besides, much more satisfaction out of doing a task itself then doing with magic.” Yes, he sold magic items at this shop. “Alchemy takes a bit to much study in my opinion, and praying is always iffy. Much prefer to do it myself,” Old Man continued with a grin on his face, “Coincidentally, I do have some alchemic materials, if you have any alchemists in your group. Very cheap, good bargain. I'll throw in some lemonade. Last time I was in Galdwin, my lemonade sold quite well.” Now, however, he turned to Garnet. “Ahhh, you have a fine eye for quality,” Old Man smiled, “And call me Old Man. Everyone does! Now, as for the price...Hmmm...” He paused, considering this. “I say thirty dollars. I accept payments in any currency currently around, or in stamps. I like stamps. Easy to collect, and quite valuable around here. And as an added bonus, I'll throw in three lemonades, one for each of you.” Outside “Most of the restaurants aren't exactly...fancy...” Sora cautioned. “If you want something fancy, we'll have to walk a bit further.” He started to lead them, but paused. “And if someone named Dibbler tries to sell you anything, say no, no matter how hungry you are,” Sora added. Garet paused, looking around. He wondered if anyone of his friends were in this city. |

Ankh-Morpork Totally Awesomely-named shop ![]() Didymus nodded. "Yes..." he said. "...I admit I can be rather tightly wound..." He listened as Old Man spoke. "...to be perfectly fair, praying and doing something oneself are not necessarily mutually exclusive..." “That… it’s a Multina Racket! These are supposed to be great long-range Rods… It should let me cast magic from a greater distance, AND I can throw balls of light as a weapon! I simply have to buy it!” Didymus looked even more sheepish. Balls of light? Of glowing magical energy, at least, I suppose... he thought. "Princess, be more careful!" Steiner said, picking up the dropped Mage's Rod. "I'm sorry, si-um, Old Man...where did this go?" Didymus became even MORE tense-openly calling Garnet "princess" in public was probably a bad idea. Still, he tried not to show it, and instead continued to watch Garnet. For all the surroundings, for all the tenseness and sheepishness he was feeling...he couldn't help but find Garnet's actions somewhat endearing...she was a girl going shopping, and she was acting the stereotype rather well, it seemed. And again, for all that he opposed the method...at least Garnet seemed to be enjoying herself. He stood silently watching, listening, trying to figure out/remember the exchange rate of various currencies around the continent-namely what the proposed price for the Multina Racket came out to in cenz. Still, he was hoping that at least he wouldn't be called upon to provide that funding. "That sounds like a very courteous deal." Steiner said. "I believe we could all use a nice drink anyway." Of course, Steiner was no stranger to other types of drink-namely, ones that pubs made their reputation off of-but he was NOT going to endorse alcohol around Garnet. Lab 5 Beatrix held her sword tightly. "Hmph." she said. "This could be a turning point to this conflict, and you expect me to hand it over simply because you DEMAND it, child? You have no grasp of what now unfolds on this continent, do you? Run along and play, ere I run you through!" Of course, Beatrix was unsure of what was occurring herself-but she DID know that a massive war was on-and that this stone could be a help-or at least an item to keep out of her enemies' hands. Also, her threat was somewhat empty-cold as her nature could be, Ed did not look...old enough...to warrant her killing him in battle. Almost, though. And it really depended...had she had the chance, she would have killed that Paladin...although he looked a tad older than Ed... She gripped her sword, regarding Ed. "So please, run along now. I have no time for this." she said. Mustang's limo Hughes listened. "That's the Roy I know." he said with a grin. "Childishly naive and idealistic, unwavering in his goal." With that, he sat back. "So, next move? I suppose we decide who to pin the assassination on-Scar or the Avatar...then we track them down, right? Frankly, I'd think that Scar would be easier to capture, and you could try riding that...but if you really could bag the Avatar...you would become a legend overnight. Not just kill him, mind you, but actually SUBDUE and CAPTURE him alive...that would immortalize you in this country's history. The fuhrer's chair would be just the logical next step." He noticed where they were driving. "Oh, and, uh, lieutenant? Could we swing by my house to drop me off? I'd rather not have to walk home like this...especially tonight." he said. He turned his attention back to Roy. "As for protecting the brass...well, your work will be cut out for you. Not just the Ranger Corps, but Wild Rose remnants, disgruntled former State Alchemists...you know. All sorts of people will be after us. Same as usual, hmm?" he asked. "If nothing else, you can probably expect a promotion. If one of the generals takes the Fuhrer's seat, a vacancy will open up in the staff...and your record speaks for itself." he said. Treno Rikku stood back, and then Bahamut appeared. The miasma dragon roared again, then lunged forward at Bahamut, spewing its flames and trying to engage in close combat! (Nukes? Wow. Must...resist...Liberty Prime reference...XD) |

Outside Ankh-Morpork KxS stopped in her tracks right when she was almost muzzle-to-muzzle to Angua. She stood up and bared her teeth. "Talk it out?! You sound like a human...it's always talking with them, barely ever any action. A true werewolf solves problems by killing, not talking," she snarled. Her tail was raised up high, showing dominance. "I'll tell you what. If you win, we talk. If I win, I eat." |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Ankh-Morpork- Old Man's Shop of Magic and Lemonade “Oh, no worries,” Old Man smiled to Steiner, taking the staff, and placing it on a counter. “And princess, hm?” he glanced to Garnet, “An interesting nickname. Term of endearment?” He smiled, tapping his nose idly, then turned to the back of his shop, “Alright then, three lemonades!” Old Man returned with three different bottles, handing them each a bottle of the citrusy drink. -Outside Ankh-Morpork- “Look...I'm more experienced then you. I'm stronger then you. I'm faster then you...” Angua said, glaring at Kxs, “If we fight, you will lose. I'm warning you...” -Lab 5- “Philosopher's Stone...didn't Kraden say that was one of the names of the Golden Sun? Do you think...?” Jenna wondered, turning to Sheba, “Do you think maybe...?” Sheba frowned, looking at the fighting group. She moved over to Alphonse, staring at his armor. “Mind Read...” Sheba glowed with Psynergy, that only another Adept would see, then moved back over to Sheba. “No...it's...something different. Don't know how it's made though. He didn't know, but they've been searching about it...” Sheba told Jenna. (So...ummm...what happened to the Amestries soldiers at the train...?} |
