I'll bite your legs off!

Train to Ankh-Morpork "Before we go any further...I think I should elaborate. I intend to see if she can be cleansed now...I do not wish to kill her." Didymus said. "Picture, shimicture! She's still a human being, and it's only her curse that forces her to kill...you're killing an innocent being forced by a curse. Kill one than many, when that one is innocent? I hardly see that as fair, even looking at a bigger picture." Didymus raised an eyebrow. "Surely you don't mean that one should never consider the consequences of their actions in the larger scheme. As for the curse...yes, you said something key. FORCED by the curse. She is forced. She may not be able to help herself, but should it come to it, does that make it right to simply let her go, continuing to hunt, to stalk, to devour, and to spread that curse? I suppose you may be able to get creative when she has to turn wolf...but still, as for your remarks about how even concerning the big picture, it's wrong, let me pose this question: what of those whom she may hunt, she may consume, she may spread that taint to in the future? If she were spared, and devoured a family and made more werewolves which would devour even more families, what would you say to all those people? To their loved ones? To those who have to struggle with the same taint every day and every night, knowing that they too will be transformed into unnatural horrors of the night? Would you tell them that she's REALLY a good person, that she only kills someone's wife, someone's son, someone's daughter, someone's husband every full moon? Do not the needs of the many outweigh those of the few? What is truly right: to cut off corruption at its source when one can, or spare it and allow others-many others, as the case may be, to die because of it?" He sighed. "We MUST consider the long-term and large-scale effects of our actions." “Who says it's a taint? Who says it's bad? You say it's bad...” "Have you read accounts of cleanses werewolves...or even ones that weren't cleansed, but not in wolf form, and even a few that speak in wolf form?" the Paladin asked. "They speak of hunger, of their rage being amplified, of their irritation with a friend who annoyed them turning to hatred, and a desire to consume, to kill. They speak of a longing to gorge on the flesh of the sentient races. A longing that calls to them, that is irresistible to them...call that what you will, but I call it a taint!" he said. “What about your powers? Or even your sword? Why is light so much better then dark? It's just...different. You have a sword. If someone doesn't know how to use one, they can easily hurt themselves or others. This girl just needs...control. To learn...on Ankh-Morpork, their Watch apparently has a werewolf on staff. One that can control itself in transformation...” "MY powers?" Didymus asked. "We Paladins would be the first to say that these things that occur through us are by no power of our own." he said. He paused. This...mage...was, well, somewhat ranting at him now, it seemed. "I can tell you my personal experiences about light and dark, and as for this sword...it doesn't fill me with an irresistible longing to murder people and gorge myself on their flesh. Even if it is controlled, or supressed for a bit, werewolf curse is still that-a curse, and a taint. A disease spread by the bite of those who carry it. And again, the hunger still tears at all who do. It would not particularly surprise me if someone in Ankh-Morpork tries to use that curse for something good...nor would it surprise me if that same individual occasionally gorges. Either way, it is a taint, and something not meant to be." He looked at KxS. “Right now, she's contained. She'll stay contained until morning. We can all just calm down...please, trust me.” "I hope she is." Didymus replied finally. "Still, perhaps she can be cleansed right here, right now, freed of her curse and allowed to live without it..." he stepped forward, still out of arm's or biting reach of KxS. He struck his sword blade-first into the ground, and pulled out his flask. "I'm not sure about this, but if He wills...perhaps this girl can be freed from her curse here and now..." |

Train to Ankh Morpork "Hey, hey...if she can be cured right now, then why argue? Let's begin." Sam said, grinning. "Just...what do we have to do in order for the curse to be removed? And..." He gestured to his bite mark. "Can you do anything about this?" |

Train to Ankh-Morpork "...You there, Kay?" KxS turned to Sam and growled, looking him straight in the eye. The werewolf hoped that would somewhat scare him. "I'm not sure about this, but if He wills...perhaps this girl can be freed from her curse here and now..." She then turned to Didymus and snarled. The wolf wanted no cure. She wanted power...blood... She looked around...then rammed into a bar on the cage that looked thinner than the others. It burst off, then she used all the strength she could to bend the bars so she could squeeze through. She jumped out, then roared at everybody, now taking this chance to jump out of the window. Free! Free once more! As she landed on the ground, she took off running into the woods to find some helpless prey to feast on. Shimera gasped, running to the window after KxS jumped. "Oh dear...! I'm so sorry...! I didn't make the cage strong enough...!" she said, looking at Cess with her hands at her mouth. |

Train to Ankh-Morpork When the werewolf stirred, Didymus' sword was up, and he tried to get at her...but she was gone. He looked after her. I'd go after her...but...would it be wise? Besides, I've been tasked with protecting Garnet...should harm befall her, many more than whom that werewolf may likely kill or curse will die... "Blast..." he muttered. "Are you alright, Lady Garnet?" he asked. |

[Lab 5] Suddenly, the fighting stopped. The homunculi who battled – the sultry Lust, the insatiable Gluttony and the wicked Wrath were all halted. Their attacks were stopped in mid-battle, and they could no longer move. The reason? A shadow had spread across the ground. It looked ordinary, but as the shadow touched the shadows of the homunculi, they were suddenly frozen in place. Even Wrath, who was still regenerating, was halted. Across the street, in a small building, was a small boy. Selim Bradley, ‘son’ of the Fuhrer. He sat quietly, starring out a small window at the fighting going on behind the iron gates of Lab 5. Selim was the homunculus Pride. One of his duties was to keep the others in check. Although the smallest and most childlike of the homunculi, Selim was one of the strongest – and his power was special. He could stop his brethren if he needed too. He had done so under orders. Suddenly, there was a flash of green flames. A woman appeared in the midst of them and she stepped forward. Several of the soldiers moved towards her, but they were suddenly shot down dead in a flash of light. “… What the…?” Mustang narrowed his eyes. It was Maleficent, the Sorceress. She was rather infamous, considered one of the most powerful magic users on the planet – and also one of the most dangerous. She was a fierce enemy of Galdwin, and a enemy of Alexandria… and Hyrule… in fact, there was not a nation that did not consider her an enemy. She was also supposed to be dead. “… This failure cannot be tolerated, Wrath. I’m afraid I cannot overlook this. Perhaps letting you live with humans, and age with humans was a mistake.” She waved her hand and Fuhrer King Bradley screamed out in pain. Once again, his body was engulfed in flames – this time the green flames of Maleficent. In an instant, he burnt away, leaving behind only ash… and a bright red Philosopher’s Stone. She turned to Lust and Gluttony. “… Leave now. With Wrath exposed, we are seriously compromised. This place must be wiped clean. Go.” She waved her staff, and suddenly Laboratory Five burst into flames! An explosion covered the building and soon it was reduced to a pile of rubble. She walked over to the Philosopher’s Stone and took it, and then vanished. Ed gasped and crawled over to his broken brother. “Al… Alphonse! Are you alright?” “… Stupid brother! You could have been killed. Winry could have died too…” Al scolded him. Winry looked out the tank window, and then looked over to Eva. “… What the hell just happened?” Mustang remained quiet, and very confused. He stood up and looked over to Hughes. “… Well, Maes… it seems we killed the Fuhrer.” [Train to Ankh-Morpork] Garnet watched the scene with the werewolf unfold, and she listened to the debate being hatched. However, even after the wolf was gone and after things (seemed) to settle down, she remained burdened. She sighed and leaned back in her seat, feeling as if a mighty weight was tied around her back. ‘… I did nothing. I might have been able to heal that werewolf of the curse, and yet I hesitated and did nothing… I’ve done NOTHING this entire time… on the Airship, in Central… I’ve allowed my indecisiveness to keep me from achieving anything that I could have otherwise done…’ She closed her eyes and heaved a low sigh. […] Sama looked over at Crystal and shook his head. “I don’t know… it might have been someone after me… or maybe it was something else. Whatever happened, the train’s… slowing down?” Yes, Sama was correct. The train was indeed slowing down as it moved. A werewolf was on board, and the roof had just been blasted out by a magical spell! The train was making a stop to access the damage and see what was going on. Luckily… it was very close to Ankh-Morpork. That at least was the good news. [Treno] Yuna nodded to Harris. “I am pleased to see you would consider allowing my magic to help save these people’s lives. I realize it is not an easy thing to ask of you, Sir Harris.” She then decided to get into the specifics. She cupped her hands together and closed her eyes; and a small light filled her palms. In the middle of that light was a very small moving picture of a great beast. “This is Valefore, the summon I used before. It is a master of the wind and the skies and with her strength I believe I can both shield Treno from attack, and push away the Alexandrian Fleet.” |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-Lab 5- Malificent appeared...Envy frowned, and with a spark, transformed, looking like an ordinary human, and disappeared over the fence, as ordered. A figure watched, in the shadows. He was not hiding there though. He was literally in the shadows, his magics protecting him from any inquisitive eyes of Pride. Ansem the Wise...also known as DiZ. A former Paladin, who had embraced magic and the power of darkness...But he was not using it for evil. “So she's still alive...interesting...” DiZ muttered, “I should keep that in mind...” Meanwhile Jenna gulped. “What...what was that? Or rather...who was that?” Jenna wondered. “...Worse then Duhallan?” Sheba offered, fear in her eyes as well. -Train to Ankh-Morpork- “Darn it, no!” Cess yelled, as Kxs escaped. He slammed his hand on the wall, shaking. “It's okay Shimera...You did what you could. That's what matters,” Cess paused, telling the Star Maiden, “Thank you...” Of course, without the werewolf as a sort of distraction, he wondered if he'd be accused of being a practitioner of dark arts. “Hey, Sama, Crystal!” Garet said, reentering their compartment, “There was this werewolf attack! And the roof was blown open!” He seemed oddly excited. -Outside Ankh-Morpork- All around Ankh-Morpork, there was no forest, just fields, and the river Ankh flowing towards it. This is where Kxs the werewolf would be. The city gates were closed, it being night... -Ankh-Morpork: Watch House- Sam Vimes sighed, staring very intently at the papers in front of him. He then stuffed him in his desk, deciding it was good enough, when he received a message. The train had stopped outside Ankh-Morpork. Something was wrong. “Okay...full moon, Angua's out...So is Carrot...” Vimes muttered, “It's a cool night. Send Sergeant Detrius and Constable Cuddy.” The messenger nodded, and then went off to give the orders. Samuel Vimes sighed, then got up. “I think I'll go with them...” |

Lab 5 As the lab started to smoulder, Beatrix realized she couldn't hide any longer. She drew her sword, took a deep breath, and charged into the fray! Lust and Gluttony, after/before the explosion, ran, leaping and bounding away. Sloth turned and regarded Ed and Al for a moment. "I'm sorry, boys...mother has to go now. I will see you again..." she said, before turning into a liquid-looking form and moving away as if she were a living puddle. In the aftermath of the explosion, Beatrix found herself getting up, trying to brush herself off and escape before being noticed... “… Well, Maes… it seems we killed the Fuhrer.” Hughes coughed, and looked to his side. A large pile of burning rubble had landed RIGHT next to him, barely missing him. Why am I having so many close calls? he thought, but Mustang's comment got him to look up. "Yeah...sure does. You know Roy, you weren't supposed to do this until later. Now the country's leaderless in a time of war and...how are you going to explain this to high command? I doubt they'll be willing to place the most likely suspect in the Fuhrer's chair...especially since you have a number of people outranking you..." He shrugged. "...we came here to do some good. Now it looks like that got turned against us. Even my pull with the bureaucracy may not be enough to bail us out this time...anyway, we have to get out of here. Maybe they won't know it was us. Maybe Bradley will just be filed as "missing" and no one will suspect he was here. Either way, let's go." He pondered. With Bradley gone, an emergency meeting of Amestris' generals was going to be called, to determine how the country would be run in his absence, if a new Fuhrer would be appointed, etc. It wouldn't be long. Hughes looked to Mustang again. "Roy. After we get out of here and get patched up, I'll need to talk to you. Our position is now that much more in danger, even from within, to say nothing of the political and, well, likely military disaster this country is about to face. The Fuhrer gone, the generals being recalled from the front...it's a really sticky situation...but we can probably talk later. I just want to get home and let my family know I'm okay. I bet Elicia's wondering where her daddy is!" With that last statement, he looked his usual overjoyed self when thinking about his daughter. Which was strange, because at this point he was covered in ash, sweat, and blood. Train to Ankh-Morpork Garnet was clearly distressed. This was a cause of (further) distress to both Didymus and Steiner. Still, Didymus looked to Sam. "Oh dear..." he said, seeing his wound. "...perhaps that can be healed...I suppose we can see..." The train started to slow down. "Hmm? What's all this then?" Steiner asked outloud, noticing that. "We're slowing down?" "We ARE near the town..." Didymus said. "...within walking distance. Maybe it's that, maybe they noticed that one of their cars just lost its roof and a werewolf attacked and now left." He was wary of Cess, and if this was Galdwin, he would have had to arrest him for violation of the law (the law being no magic in Galdwin). It wasn't, though, so he simply remained wary. "So, should we stay here? Or bail out ourselves?" he asked outloud, then looked to Sam. "Alright, let's see..." Steiner regarded Garnet. "Princess? What is your opinion on our next course of action? And...is something wrong?" Perhaps there was a better time and place to ask that last question, but he was Steiner. If Garnet was distressed, he believed it should be addressed immediately. Treno “I am pleased to see you would consider allowing my magic to help save these people’s lives. I realize it is not an easy thing to ask of you, Sir Harris.” Harris looked distressed. "I...actually, I...am opposed to your proposal." he said. "Considering our beliefs on magic, I think that it may only come to an ill end. Besides...I felt something here, as I passed under one of the Alexandrian airships...I don't know what it is, but it was strong...and tainted..." He sighed. "...with that being said, I can still take your proposal to the Air Marshall. Still, I'd urge you, please reconsider...I cannot throw my support behind your plan...I'm sorry." he said. "...and one more thing...shall I give your regards to my former "apprentice", should I see him?" With that (and/or after receiving any of Yuna's parting comments), he boarded the airship back to the Galdwinian fleet. Rikku paused. "You really gonna do this, Yunie? That guy doesn't want you too, but it seems like all his guys would act if you gave 'em a push! Didn't he say that earlier?" she said. The ball was in Yuna's court now. |

Outside Ankh-Morpork KxS sniffed around. There seemed to be a town close by. She wanted to stalk in there and find a lone human to hunt, but spotting a river, she decided to take a drink first. She got on all fours and lapped up the water with her tongue. She looked to the town again, and sniffed around. She could smell another werewolf, but like she cared. She got closer to Ankh-Morpork, wondering where to get in. Train to Ankh-Morpork Shimera sighed. If she wasn't so scared, she would have got that cage just right. She looked out the window again, and tried to see if she could see the KxS werewolf. |

Ansem's House Melanie gave a sigh when the boy finally calmed down. She was feeling better now that he was, and now both teens sat in awkward silence once more. It wasn't that she hated the boy, nor that she took some sort of offense at him kissing her. Actually she did, but that's just because she only knew him for a day. That and he should have asked. Melanie may have been a witch, but she was a young lady, and as such knew how courtship was supposed to go. The young man would sweep her off her feet in some overly cheesy and romantic way and kiss under a moonlit sky. Not in a dusty room in the middle of a conversation. Melanie face warmed and she looked away. Lab 5 “… What the hell just happened?” "I was about to ask you the same thing...." Eva stated, getting up from the massive seat of the tank and jumping out. She looked at Ed and Al "Oi! You guys okay?" she yelled over to them. Despite it all looking done with she kept her guard up. Train to Ankh-Morpork "A werewolf?" Crystal repeated, blinking. She then let out a loud breath. Better a werewolf than a bunch of crazies trying to kill her best friend." She looked over to Sama "Sorry for freaking before" she apologized. |

-Train to Ankh-Morpork- “They might be sending out some guards to check too, from Ankh-Morpork City Watch,” Sora added, turning to Didymus. “And Ankh-Morpork is surrounded by a wall...We won't be able to enter the city without someone knowing.” Outside, there was man, a dwarf, and a troll heading to the train, having gotten outside the city. Of course, they were City Watch... Garet paused, glancing to Crystal. She didn't seem all the much worried either. Which didn't bother him in the slightest. -Ansem's House- Galv found himself blushing as well...Though he did not realize that it was because of Melanie...Or really, he did think it was because of Melanie. Just, not because she was blushing. He didn't even know that. “...So...” Galv said, picking up a random book, “You should probably tell me what you know already about...about what you're trying to do.” -Lab 5- “Okay, Sheba, they're gone...” Jenna muttered, “Maybe we should go too, before someone starts asking us questions...” -Ankh-Morpork- A figure moved in the dark...In a basket, actually. The figure could smell one...Another one. The figure growled, and headed outside, using the roofs, until it got to the wall. “Now, as I was saying Nobbs, you have to...hmmm? Who's there?” Fred Colon paused, looking into the gloom of the city. They were usually concerned with the outside. But that was silly. There was a wall there. There wasn't a wall to protect them from the inside. The figure growled, and Colon and Nobbs both breathed a sigh of relief. “Feeling a bit cooped up, huh? Alright,” Colon said, opening the gate, to let the figure dart outside, and closed it then. “Angua usually tries to stay indoors on full moons. Wonder if the werewolf knows something we don't?” Nobbs wondered. “Like, say, that we should check out a pub and guard the gate through the windows of said pub?” “No, no...Captain Vimes it out there right now...When he comes back, maybe,” Colon said. Outside, Angua the werewolf of the City Watch sniffed the air. Another werewolf was about. She'd have to be careful. |

[Train to Ankh-Morpork] "Princess? What is your opinion on our next course of action? And...is something wrong?" A lot was wrong with Princess Garnet. She was beginning to question what her adventure had accomplished, if anything. She had exposed her mother as being insane, summoned a small green fox and… And many people had died. The rangers who helped smuggle her out of Alexandria, the men on the airship, the people in Amestris… so many had been killed or injured, and so far all she had to show for it was a green fox who, while cute, was pretty useless as a means of uniting her people. “… Come, let’s try to get to Ankh-Morpork. Just to be safe, we should go on our own.” Garnet decided, hoping that this would be the right choice. […] Sama looked to Garet, who seemed far too happy about all of this. Then again, it was exciting. Adventure always was – but after what had happened earlier, the Avatar wasn’t in much of a mood for adventure. Still… a werewolf was better news than the Amestris Army showing up to kill him. Sama heaved a sigh of relief and ran his hand through his messy hair. “A werewolf? Oh man… I hope nobody got hurt.” Then Crystal apologized and he shook his head slightly and offered a small smile. “No, don’t worry about that… to be honest, it’s really nice to have a friend around on a day like this.” [Lab 5] Edward Elric looked horrified. His eyes were closed, but his face told the entire tale. He was in torment at the moment beyond anything he had felt since that day when he failed to revive his mother. What had he just seen? The Fuhrer of Amestris killed in front of him, and a odd red stone appearing from his corpse? A real homunculus… powered by a real Philosopher’s Stone! Ed felt sickened… to think of how many times he had stood before Bradley, and all along the stone he so desperately sought after… Not to mention there was the little problem of HIS DEAD MOTHER appearing in front of him. Ed was convinced that was not Trisha Elric, but the very idea that he had tried to kill someone with his mother’s face… Ed wanted to throw up. “Oi! You guys okay?" When Eva ran towards them, Winry followed. Alphonse looked up at the redheaded girl as she appeared and he gave a small sigh. “… I’ll be okay… brother can fix my body… but that woman…” Roy listened to Hughes, and he knew his old friend had many valid points. This was not how this was supposed to happen… it was too soon, and Roy had possibly shot himself in the foot. There would have to be a new Fuhrer, and Roy lacked the rank necessary to get the job. “… We’ll blame it on Scar. He’s already struck once tonight. It’s not inconceivable that he could have done this.” Mustang said matter-of-factly. As it was, most of the soldiers had not seen what happened. Many of the ones who had been here for the entire situation were dead, having been killed by Maleficent. Many of the others had fled when they saw the invincible opponents resurrect themselves. It was possibly that Roy’s story could hold water with the public. The brass was another story… [Treno] Yuna gave a sigh, and turned away from Harris as he returned to his airship. She was not surprised… but she was angry. She had offered her help despite their differences and it was, for all purposes, turned away. She did not become discouraged. “… We’ll have to attack anyway, Rikku. We cannot let this city be destroyed… no matter what we have to do.” |

Train to Ankh-Morpork “… Come, let’s try to get to Ankh-Morpork. Just to be safe, we should go on our own.” Didymus and Steiner both could tell...Garnet was deeply troubled. She may have been good at hiding it, but Steiner had known her since she was an infant, and Didymus had had plenty of time to see her when she was depressed, from the escape from Alexandria, to her brooding at the the Order's Enclave, and throughout her adventure. He was starting to get a feel for when she was depressed and troubled...but come to think of it, had he seen her any other way? Perhaps during their dinner at the Enclave, but still, he noticed that all that time, he had never once heard her laugh (EDIT: Yes he had. When they were first discussing going into Amestris back at the Order's Enclave). And he questioned whether even the smiles she gave him were forced... He shook his head to snap out of it. There he went again. "Very well. It's a walled city, though, so we'll need to be seen to get in one way or another." With that, he turned to Sam. "That bite...perhaps something shall be done about it...hang on..." Lab 5 Beatrix tried sneaking away, but that stone...something felt off about it. But perhaps it could be a clue to unraveling the mystery behind what was all going on... She had heard tales of this "Philosopher's Stone", or "Necromancer's Stone", or any other number of names it had been given, and now, here one was. She had to take it...even if not to use it, but again, something needed to come of her time here. She looked around, and saw that most of the others seemed preoccupied. With a whisper (and casting) of "haste", she sprinted, grabbed the stone, and ran! Meanwhile, Hughes listened. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Scar's ironacally quite handy, isn't he? Of course, you DO realize the morale sapping this country were to have if they believed an Isbalian killed the Fuhrer, right? I'd say we were about to face enough of a military disaster already, but...in light of the circumstances, I think that blaming this on Scar is probably the best thing we can do..." he said. "...still, come on. We'd best get out of here before we're seen. This fire is bound to attract attention." he said. Treno Rikku nodded. "Right!" she said. "But wait...are you SURE you can protect everyone? What if that robed guy asks his boss about letting the people evacuate, anyway? Still, I'm with you, Yunie!" she concluded, trusting her cousin's judgment. |

Outside Ankh-Morpork The KxS werewolf sniffed around...she could smell him. The other werewolf that she heard of. She growled, knowing that could mean trouble. Werewolves are usually loners, and get into bloody, if not deadly, fights if their hunting grounds are trespassed. Only on rare occasions, especially when the werewolf has a mate, two will hunt together. But one thing was for certain, KxS was definitely not looking for a mate. She was, in werewolf terms, "trespassing hunting grounds". And seeing as male werewolves are usually a foot taller and more muscular than females, KxS could be in trouble. KxS wanted no more battles for the night. Just flesh to feast on and blood to drink. Train to Ankh-Morpork Shimera sighed, not being her joyful self. "Oh, I wish I could fix that curse on both of you...but the werewolf curse is really complicated magic. Even if I tried, the curse wouldn't be fully lifted." |

[Train to Ankh-Morpork] Garnet nodded, and then looked to Sam. She was still rather upset about all that had happened, and now more than ever she wanted to get inside the walls of Ankh-Morpork. Still, she took a step forward. “… If any of my magic can help, just say so.” [Lab 5] Mustang slowly nodded to Hughes. It was a bad situation no matter what they did. Blaming it on Scar could raise the tensions, and cause a further divide between the people of Amestris and the Ishbalians who had already lost their home to the military country. Still, what else could he do? If Mustang was ever to right the wrongs of Bradley and those pulling the strings behind him – which seemed to be the sorceress – he had to survive and remain in place. “… Come.” Mustang said, and he and Hawkeye soon headed out. [Treno] Yuna shook her head. “I… I have to believe that I can, Rikku. I have to try!” She ran outside, carrying her staff in one hand. She moved over to a empty street and began to dance, twirling her staff around. As she did, small balls of light started flying around her. Suddenly, with a great blast of light, the might Valefor appeared once more! ![]() Yuna was ready… |

Train to Ankh-Morpork (Alright...how's this?) The train had slowed considerably, and now both Didymus and Garnet were hoping that Sam could be healed-but suddenly, the doors burst open on either side of the damaged car! Men with guns were there-Amestris guards who had come to investigate the fight-emerged, with a cry of "Hands up!" Steiner reactively grabbed Garnet, and, sheilding her, dove out the window! Noticing this, Didymus plunged his sword into the floor, and a bright light temporarily blinded the Amestris guards, then Didymus himself jumped out the window, grabbing his pack and cloak-he would have liked to coordinate things more, or see if Sam could be helped, but his mission was to remain at Garnet's side... Outside Ankh-Morpork Steiner tumbled out of the train, holding Garnet tightly. The landing wasn't too hard, though. When it was over, he slowly released her. "Are you alright, princess?" he asked. Just then, Didymus tumbled up beside them. "...that was a bit sudden, don't you think?" "I was trying to keep the princess out of their hands! We don't know how many guards were on that train, and even if we could win, one errant bullet is all it would have taken..." Didymus sighed. "I suppose you're right..." he retrieved his pack and cloak, and bowed his head for a moment-giving thanks he had not lost hold on his sword (nor stabbed himself with it) when he tumbled out. He stood there, looking over himself, and donning his overcloak again. He and Steiner both looked to Garnet. "Lead the way, princess." Steiner said. Didymus couldn't help but grin. "Is it really tactically wise if she takes point?" he asked. "Bah. Either way, let us get moving." Steiner said. (I hope that doesn't ruin anyone's plans, but I had a little chat with CH...) Central City As she fled, Beatrix's mind was preoccupied, heavy. What was going on? And what would she even do from here? Find Garnet? Return to Alexandria? Her mind was so preoccupied that she forgot the object she was carrying. No, not her sword-a certain red-colored object that she dropped ![]() Hughes saluted. "Right behind you, sir." he said. Treno Yuna's summoning had not gone unnoticed. Belleza, in her temporary headquarters, got concerned. "What is she doing...?" she asked outloud. "Find the summoner." she said. "Tell her to stand down. And start preparing the black mages, just in case." she said. "Yes, ma'am." a soldier said, and ran off to pass the order. Valefore hadn't done anything aggressive yet... Standing next to Yuna was Rikku, as she slid on some sharp, long iron knuckles, or "claws" to her hands, and made sure she had a few spherical objects she had shown earlier to Yuna ready for quick drawing. "Let's do this!" she said. Although she just intended to protect Yuna from any would-be attackers-Yuna's summons would be taking on the Alexandrian airfleet, and hopefully inciting the Galdwinian airfleet to attack-away from the city, of course. |
