Central City-Tavern

The Dark Mage smiled. He had been insulted far more than once, so it wasn't out of the ordinary to be called a creepy old man.

"Lactose intolerant? That's fine." He said.

He then looked at Al, almost as if into his very heart. "So you two are alchemists I may presume?"

Alexandria Evil Forest

Suddenly there was a manly shriek behind a bunch of bushes. That, followed by a "Help!"

There in the forest was the rich man that was robbed earlier. In front of him, was a gigantic spider, ready for lunch.

(What, I couldn't have left him wandering around)

Alexandria Castle - Gate

As Rusty had started to yell, Zidane jumped back and took a defensive stance. The old guy in rusty armor seemed like he was going to throttle him! Of course, much scarier men had tried... many times before.

As Steiner rushed off, Zidane shrugged and quickly ran towards the castle...

Alexandria Castle - Brahne's Chambers

The cruel-hearted ruled of Alexandria, Queen Brahne, looked on with distaste as Steiner rushed into her room. She had never liked him compared to Beatrix... in fact, she just plain didn't like him. Still, he was capable enough to guard Garnet... or he had been until recently.

"What are you doing kneeling there, then!?" Brahne demanded, fanning herself with a paper fan. "If he can find the Princess, then bring him in! Now!"

Brahne needed Garnet... and the power of the summons.

Suddenly, Zidane appeared -- dropping down from the chandelier and landing on Steiner's back. He jumped off and smacked his hands together to get some dust off... his pockets seemed more full than they had at the front gate, too.

"Yo Queenie," Zidane waved. "I'm Zidane, of Tantalus! I'm the best at what I do; I can find your kid, if the reward is good!"

Brahne paused. "Fine my Garnet and you can have whatever you like, you peasant-monkey!"

Zidane shook his head. "Everybody always calls me a monkey... sheesh... like you never saw a guy with a tail before... ANYWAY! I'll find her. Hey Rusty, how about a tour? Show me her bedroom and maybe I'll find some clues."

Central City Tavern

Ed mumbled something about 'just not liking it', meaning the milk, but he didn't really care. He grumbled and ate some pretzels on the counter.

Al, meanwhile, turned to Nihlus and nodded. "Yes! We're alchemists. My brother here is the famous Alchemist of the People, the Fullmetal Alchemist! And... I'm Alphonse."

He bowed. "Nice to meet you!"

Ed mumbled something else.

(I assume this is the same tavern Crystal is in, so...)

"I am sooooooo boooooooored."

Another young patron at the tavern seemed to be having an uneventful day. because he hasn't done anything in this RP yet. He had just arrived, but due to the crowding of the bar, could not find an empty chair.

So, he kicked the floor.

A chair sprang up from out of the floor; apparently made from rock. The floorboards were broken, but he just hoped the owner wouldn't notice...

"Hey! What are you doing!?" The tavern own yelled at him.

"Ah... ha ha... sorry!" Sama sweat dropped, rubbing his neck. As the owner gave him a dark glare, Sama took a small pouch from his pocket and said: "I guess I'll pay for that... how much?"

The tavern owner snatched the entire bag away from him. "This'll do."

Sama opened his mouth to protest, but instead shrugged and sighed. "Aw, man... I'm broke... again."

Central City, Amestris-Mustang's office

Mustang allowed Hughes' explanation to suffice. There was no reason to drag Sheska into this any more than he already had... damn Bradley! He shook his head once more.

"I need some air." He grumbled, and he pushed his way out onto the balcony, looking out at the sunset framed city.

Paladin Enclave

Garnet shook her head as she looked to Didymus.

"Perhaps I could find the book at my castle... but mother would never let me leave again... and if you were discovered, she would have you executed."

Garnet turned away... she was starting to realize what kind of danger all those who tried to help her faced...

"... Amestris. We must go to Amestris. I don't know how we'll gain entry to the alchemists library, but we will find a way!"

Resembool-Amestris

The large, yellow house that read 'Rockbell Automail' on the sign out front was a staple of Resembool. The Rockbell family were well known -- Pinako was a respected mechanic, and her granddaughter Winry was first-rate herself.

The late Mr. and Mrs. Rockbell had been brave doctors...

Suddenly, a loud, annoyed yelled from inside escaped outdoors. "HEY! Quiet it down with all the racket!"

The 'racket' had meant Eva's scooter, the noise of which had caused Winry to lose her concentration and drop a wrench.

Suddenly, a blond-haired girl with a bandanna over her head peered out from the upstairs window. Her face had been annoyed until she spotted the stranger -- and the odd, mechanical bike. Suddenly her face lit up and she made a squeeling noise.

"Wait right there! Don't go anywhere!"

In a flash, Winry disappeared from the upstairs window and seconds later the front door was flung open carelessly as she rushed outside. Winry arrived in front of Eva with a memorized look on her face.

"That machine! What is it? Where did you get it? Who built it? How does it run? Can I take it apart?" The questions came at a million miles a second; and then she took a deep breath and realized a very important question was overlooked.

"Oh, I'm Winry Rockbell... who are you?"

Alexandria Castle-Brahne's Chambers

Steiner winced, as usual. Indeed, a strange change had come over Brahne lately, but few dared mention that to her face.

"Very well." he said, and began to take Zidane to Garnet's chambers.

"We do have ONE clue..." he said. "...one of the princess's cloaks is gone-it was white, with a red triangle pattern." he finished, opening the door.

Alexandria Castle-Garnet's chambers

Inside was Garnet's bedroom, exactly as she left it-perhaps with some more dust, but it hadn't been cleaned since she left-instead, people had, like Zidane, been combing it for clues.

Central City, Amestris-Mustang's office

Hughes quickly spoke.

"So Sheska, why don't you head back to the office and get started on the next set of muster reports?" he said, and Sheska nodded, and, with a "Yes, sir.", she was off.

Hughes followed Mustang out, striking up another conversation.

"Strange times, huh?" he asked. "Did you hear? When Bradley was on that little leave of his a bit ago, the princess of Alexandria disappeared...that's especially strange when you think about Alexandria's break with its historic alliance with Galdwin. Some generals are idiots, though. I hear Gron is calling for a full assault on Galdwin's boarder...which is very well fortified...this could be bad for the army, but on the other hand..." he made sure no one was looking. "...it COULD mean that a vacancy will open up in the command staff soon. Even IF Bradley suspects you, your record speaks for itself..."

As long as no one was looking, he whispered something else.

"Does the term: "wild rose" mean anything to you?"

Quickly changing the subject (or at least speaking more loudly so as to cover his previous whisper), he continued.

"But how about it? Alexandria's princess disappeared, and I hear that their queen is FURIOUS. Hate to be working in Alexandria Castle! But speaking of princesses..."

Anyone who knew Hughes may have been able to guess what was about to happen.

He whipped out a photo.

"Look how big Elysia's gotten! Come on, don't you just agree that she's the most adorable thing you've EVER set eyes on?!" he was smiling from ear to ear, as usual when he talked about his family...which was very, very often.

Paladin Enclave

Didymus grinned.

"I suppose she would..." he said. "...of course, not that a Paladin has never faced such a situation before. And I don't think I need to remind someone like yourself of my faith's early history. But Amestris, you say?"

His grin widened.

"This will indeed be an adventure. If that is where you are set upon going, than I shall accompany you there. Of course, we'll both have to travel incognito...but we both have a little experience of that. We can probably get a ride to the boarder via airship, then, perhaps, we should travel...I don't know, by horse, or car, or even train...unless, of course, we could get a small airship to travel all the way to Amestris Central in...no, that's feasible, but unlikely...bah, listen to me babbling!" he said.

It was strange...he was about to go behind enemy lines, and on a journey to the center of a hostile land, but he was excited! Of course, he knew it would be a trial of faith, valor, and more, and would likely be rather difficult, but for the moment, his moral was soaring.

"So, when do you intend for us to leave, lady?" he asked, still grinning.

Central City Tavern

Rose took notice as Sama entered the Tavern her pink eyes instantly brightening considerably upon seeing someone she knew here. She was about to stand up when the man who had grudgingly taken her order before had returned, holding a tall red drink. So they did have what she wanted!

"Well thank you!" she said happily, handing the man a bit of money and taking a sip.....Instantly her face scrunched and her nose twitched....She swallowed but the bitter look on her face remained. She walked over to Sama handing him the drink, perhaps he would like it better....And it wasn't like he had the money to get anything now. "What have you been up to?"

Resembool-Amestris

Eva blinked as she was suddenly bombarded by a teenage girl....Eva backed up slowly and disected the question that she had just been asked.

"Ummm well it's a scooter, my mode of transportation...I built it" Eva answered first "It runs....Well there's a lot to that....And I was hoping you could help me out. I hear you're a pretty good mechanic"

She patted her scooter proudly "And i'm Eva Wei"

Alexandria Castle: Brahne's Chambers

As Steiner and Zidane left the room, a figure moved in the shadows of the room.

"Queen Brahne... have you any closer to locating Sarah?"

Brahne nearly jumped out of her throne! She dropped her paper fan and her face was quickly covered in sweat; fear clouding her eyes. She gulped and looked over at the man in the shadows.

"G-G-Garland! You frightened me!" Brahne gasped.

"My apologies." Garland, a heavily-armored Dark Knight stepped out of the shadows with a sweeping bow. "If Sarah invokes the Summoner's Rites, we shall lose the chance to extract the Summons from her... if that were to happen, I fear Alexandria would be destroyed."

As Garland spoke, a strange purple mist wafted from his armor and surrounded Brahne. As it did, her eyes seemed to glaze over, almost to the point that she was in a trance.

"Yes... of course... I will find Garnet... you need not worry... just don't let Alexandria fall..." Brahne muttered; it was as if her mind was being warped by the odd mist.

The mist retracted into Garland's armor and he nodded. "Very well. I shall protect Alexandria from Galdwin a while longer... just find Sarah quickly..."

Without another word, Garland stepped back into the shadows and seemed to vanish as mysterious as he had come...

Alexandria Castle: Garnet's Chambers

Zidane looked around the room for a moment, his hand on his chin and his foot tapping impatiently.

He jumped onto the bed and looked around; but found nothing.

He opened a few drawers; but there were no clues.

He opened the closet and looked about; but there was nothing more than a few gowns and cloaks.

Turning back to Steiner, he shrugged. "Whelp, no clues here... but I did learn that Princesses have a lot of expensive looking stuff."

Zidane's pockets seemed to be a bit fuller still than earlier... and oddly, a few expensive necklaces seemed to have vanished.

"Wait a minute, Rusty! You said she was wearing a cloak with triangles on it? Sounds like what White Mages wear... hmm... If we knew someone who was a mage, we might get some clues."

Central City Tavern

Sama was just lighting the candle on his table (simply by the movement of his hand, as it were) when he spotted a familiar face and grinned.

"Crystal!" Sama waved as she walked over. "I didn't expect to see you in Amestris!"

Suddenly, she had handed him a drink and he grinned. Somehow, his luck had turned around! "Ah, thank you! I thought I was going to have to -- ah, bitter --" He interrupted himself as he took a sip. "I thought I was going to have to take another odd job to pay."

Sama was a drifter. He wandered from city to city, nation to nation taking odd jobs in exchange for food, shelter or money. Helping others was a part of his duty, though.

"I've been up to crazy things! A week ago, I had to help this village in Southern Amestris... some crazy alchemist made a vicious chimera that was destroying, well, everything it could... after that ordeal, I thought the city might be fun for a while."

He shrugged. "Hey, what brings you out this way?"

...

Alphonse, meanwhile, looked to the black mage. "So, what's your name?"

Paladin Enclave

Garnet gave a little giggle at the Paladin's enthusiasm. Secretly, she wished she could be as excited about the path ahead of them... it was surely a dangerous one, and she worried that heading straight into Amestris' Capitol City was a mistake.

Still... returning home seemed like a worse one.

"I... actually have a little experience. When I was little, I would sneak out of the castle to play with kids in Alexandria City... but then, I saw how much trouble Steiner got in whenever I vanished that..."

She paused. Steiner! She wondered what had become of him? Surely, her mother would be angry... would she take her wrath out on the Knight? The thought worried her... Mother had not been herself for quite a while, and she seemed to grow in her madness each day. So different from the woman she had been just a few years earlier...

"... We must leave as soon as possible." Garnet shook herself back into reality. "I'll trust you to find us the fastest way to Central. Whatever we need to do... I... I fear that with each passing day, my mother..."

She trailed off. She wondered if it would be possible for her to save both her mother and her kingdom...

Resembool

Winry's face was as bright as a brand new light bulb. She nodded her head furiously. Two things had brought on the jovial expression -- the fact that Eva had asked for her help, and the fact she called her a 'good mechanic'.

"You came to the right place!" Winry exclaimed. "I'm the best mechanic in Amestris!"

She knew the military had many experienced mechanics twice, even thrice her age who had been doing their jobs since before she was born... but she would stick by her statement right to their faces.

"Here, come inside! We can talk in my workshop!"

Central City Tavern

Rose smiled sitting own across from him at the table. It seemed as if Sama was doing well, he was always known for being all over the place and sometimes that meant he could get into trouble without any of the Chasers knowing.

"I've been out here for a couple of days actually, just making rounds...You know the usual keeping the peace, stopping anyone who disturbs the peace, spreading happiness and smiles...And on and on and on...It's been so quiet, sure it's a good thing, but it's also reaaaaallllyyyy boring, the worst i've had is some petty thefts in the area."

Resembool

With a nod Eva followed Winry into her workshop, wheeling her scooter beside her carefully. Once inside the girl could not help to let out an audible "Wooooow". The entire room was filled to the brim with mechanical odds and ends. Half done projects looked just as impressive as the totally completed ones....This. Was. Paradise.

"You LIVE here?! This is AMAZING!" Eva exclaimed, propping her scooter against the wall and inspecting the room carefully. It was simply amazing.

Nihlus returned the bow. "I am Nihlus, the seeker of knowledge. I suppose you could call me a mage..." Nihlus said. The word mage in a whisper.

He didn't touch his ale, instead, he put his hand up and the mug came to his hand. He took a sip before continuing.

"So, you brother here's famous around Central City? Not everyday I meet a celebrity. So, what brings you here?" The mage said politely.

Paladin Enclave

When Garnet giggled, a range of thoughts quickly passed through Didymus's mind.

You just made her giggle. You. But what's there to giggle about? Who cares! You just made a pretty girl giggle! But is this a time for-

For better or worse, those thoughts were silenced when Garnet proceed to talk about her past, and her hopes for the future.

Didymus's grin dropped to a look of earnest sympathy.

"Of course, lady." he said. "I'll speak with the elders, in fact, like I said, if you'd like a tour of the premise here, or at least some of it, I need to find the elders anyway, so if you'd like to come along...although, now that I think of it, are you sure that you need to come on this dangerous journey? We could, in theory, infiltrate the libraries you've spoken of, find the books concerning the summoner's villages, and bring them back to you, without putting you in unnecessary danger...either way, if you wish to see the Enclave, and even talk directly to the elders about your plan, come with me." he said.

Alexandria Castle-Brahne's chambers

Slowly, with a certain air of pride about her, a woman clad in some light plate mail approached Brahne. She had brown hair going back past her shoulders...and wore a white patch over one eye.

General Beatrix entered Brahne's throne room, just missing Garland, and knelt, before speaking.

"My queen..." she said. "...the Amestris ambassador asks us to grant their armies permission to pass through our lands...I must, with respect, voice my opinion on the matter: it would be unwise. Even if Galdwin plans to betray us, as you have been saying, Amestris is far, far worse. They were built by conquest, and letting their armies march through our lands unopposed would be inviting them to take our country. Conversely, Galdwin is calling upon us, citing the historic alliance between our nations, and asking for help in this new war..." she said.

Alexandria Castle-Garnet's chambers

Steiner fumed.

"That's CAPTAIN STEINER, to YOU!" he yelled.

"But how would the mages know where the princess went?" he continued. "I've already asked them and...wait, your pockets weren't bulging like that when you came in!" he cried.

Paladin Enclave

Garnet quietly listened to Didymus' suggestion, and in a way it made sense. A few well trained, heavily experienced paladins could have an easier time infiltrating. It was perhaps, the best option. The safest option... and yet...

"No." Garnet shook her head, her voice unshaken and sure. "This is something I have to do... I realize it may sound selfish, but I feel like this is something I have to do myself. If I fail, then I'll do so with my own hands... I cannot stand by and let any more people die for me."

She turned to him. "Let's go and see the elders..."

Central City Tavern

Sama gave a little laugh. The business of the Chasers seemed to be never-ending, but Crystal was right, sometimes it could be pretty uneventful.

Suddenly, he turned thoughtful for a moment, leaning back in his rock-chair. "It's quiet now... but if you want excitement, you picked the right city. I just have this feeling that Central City is going to get busy soon."

[...]

Alphonse seemed impressed; his eyes widening a bit. "That's very exciting! In a way, brother and I seek knowledge too in our travels..."

Edward, however, finally seemed to take some interest in the mysterious mage. He didn't regard the floating mug; but he was interested in knowledge.

"Hey, Nihlus was it? You ever seek out any knowledge on the Philosopher's Stone?"

Al fell silent.

Alexandria Castle: Brahne's Chambers

Queen Brahne was deep in thought, upset about the meeting with Garland. She could not think clearly... she had not done so in months. When Beatrix, her favorite general, appeared she gave a mere grunt of recognition.

"Your opinion on the matter?" Brahne raised her eyebrows; a anger burning in them, sourced by the miasma. "It is only my opinion that matters! I have told you, Galdwin cannot be trusted! They despise us and want to see us all dead! If Amestris wants to use our roads, let them -- but in return they must allow our troops to pass into their country to look for Garnet!"

Brahne was not as concerned with war as she was with her daughter... and what Garland might do if she failed to retrieve her.

Alexandria Castle: Garnet's chambers

Zidane tilted his head. "Captain? Really? I would have thought you were a private, what with that cheap, rusty armor..."

He shrugged, and then turned to the issue of his theft. "You're no investigator, are you? These are CLUES! I'm borrowing them to aid in our investigation. Anyway... the reason we need to find the White Mages is simple; if Garnet has a White Mage cloak, she must practice White Magic! That's healing magic, just so you know."

Zidane was being a bit patronizing. It was what he did. "Anyway... she had to LEARN White Magic somewhere; she would trust her teacher, and might tell her teacher her plans -- such as where she's gone too; since she clearly left of her own choice."

Zidane grinned. "Wonder how I know that? She's a princess! If she was kidnapped, you'd know by now -- ransom demands, giant dragon, dark knight at the gate... one of those cliches! So she had to go off on her own. So we need to find someone she trusts to ask if she might have confided in them."

Resembool

Winry suddenly beamed, feeling proud. It was easy for her to boast about her accomplishments; but it was even better to hear it from others! Since Eva seemed to be a mechanic herself, it was all the better.

"Thanks, this place is pretty fun..." Winry nodded. "My grandmother's been a mechanic for years. There's a lot of stuff here. Now... let's take a look at that bike!"

She grabbed her tool box with a grin.

Paladin Enclave

Didymus nodded.

"Very well. " he said. "If there is no restraining you, well, you came to this place of your own free will, you shall not be held here against it. Come with me."

With that, he began to take Garnet through the Enclave, out of the living quarters she was staying in, and eventually outside, crossing between buildings in the Enclave.

The Enclave had a large wall surrounding it, inside it were the many buildings on its grounds, and there were walkways, hedges, and such between them.

"There are some more living quarters, there's the armory, there's the cathedral, the training grounds, the school...yes, the school. Good missionaries need good educations, right? Anyway..." he pointed out the sights to Garnet, until they eventually came to another building. It was the Elder's Hall, where the Elders often would meet to discuss the Order's affairs. He was about to knock, when he actually heard a voice behind him.

"Ah! Brother Didymus! And lady Garnet! Good evening! How are you fairing?"

Didymus recognized the voice, and immediately whirled.

"Elder Galahad!" he cried. "If I may-um, uh, lady Garnet, have you met elder Galahad? He's one of the most senior elders in the Order, who has served faithfully for over-"

"Yes, yes, young brother, you've said enough." Galahad replied.

"How fair you this evening, lady?" he asked. "Is our brother-" he gestured at Didymus- "giving you a proper welcome? Or do you think we shouldn't have sent him?" he asked.

"Now, I hear that you're intending to go off in search of a tome-yes, elder Orlandu told me about your intent, and that he's tasked Didymus here with accompanying you. We have already convened and prayed about it-and have decided that we shall aid you." he said. "But tell me, where, exactly, do you intend to go?" he asked.

Alexandria Castle-Brahne's chambers

Beatrix rose, and with a simple, "Yes, your highness.", she was off again.

However, she returned a few minutes later.

"Forgive my intrusion again, highness, but Amestris has agreed to those terms. However, they now ask for our aid...in helping them in their war against Galdwin. I realize that only your opinion in this matters...but as your favored general, I must advise against this. We should not ally with Amestris any more than we should ally with Galdwin. Amestris is powerful enough by itself, but to fight its war with our armies...that would be foolish. They would take our lands as soon as we had exhausted ourselves, I believe."

She was going out on a limb, but she was not questioning Brahne-rather, advising her.

Of course, she did have her doubts about Brahne's state of mind...

Alexandria Castle-Garnet's Chambers

Steiner remained on his fuming path.

"Rusty?! Are you BLIND! You can use this armor as a MIRROR! I...and CLUES?! CLUES, MY FOOT! Put the princess's items back THIS INSTANT!" he cried.

However, at the mention of "teacher", Steiner snapped.

"Doctor Tot!" he yelled. "The princess has been closer to him than her mother this past year! Let us go see him!" he cried.

(:o I FORGOT MUSTANG! Two posts in a row. Man, I'm rusty at this RP stuff.)

Central City: Mustang's Office

Mustang crossed his arms as Hughes spoke of many things. He nodded a bit at first.

"I heard about Alexandria's Princess... I doubt it's a coincidence that Bradley wasn't in Central at the time. Still... I can't help but think the girl is alive. The death of a princess is rarely kept secret... especially when someone like Brahne is always looking for an excuse to start another war."

While Amestris might be known for its military force, Alexandria had recently become far more aggressive. In just a few months, Brahne had tripled the size of her armies.

When Hughes mentioned 'wild rose', Mustang's heart nearly stopped. His day had officially gone from bad, to worse. It was unusual that something Hughes said would cause a grander reaction than veiled death threats from the Fuhrer -- but it had just happened.

"Yes, yes, Elysia's cute... why don't you show me some more pictures in my office?"

Mustang returned to the office, and nodded to Hawkeye. She quickly cleared the room of the others -- leaving only Hawkeye, Hughes and Mustang within earshot.

"... Wild Rose... I know of them." Mustang muttered. "What information do you have on them?"

Paladin Enclave

Garnet followed along behind Didymus, taking in the sights for a bit. She was interested in seeing the Enclave, and indeed if not for her worries and the pressures she felt, she would have been very interested in seeing everything.

When she suddenly found herself face-to-face with one of the most respected Elders, she bowed politely in the way she'd always been taught.

"Good day, Elder Galahad. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Garnet listened quietly as Didymus and Galahad spoke for a few minutes, and she seemed amused.

"Had you not sent him, I would be dead. I am grateful."

She made to bow again, but stopped when Galahad announced that he already knew of her plans. She gasped and nodded, and then put on a serious expression.

"Elder... although it is dangerous, I must find the village of the Summoners. As you know, only a very old history book contains the location... I have decided that I will search the Central Library for Alchemists in Amestris."

She paused, and continued. "I realize that gaining entry to that library is forbidden to all but State Alchemists and the upper echelon of Ametsris Military... and I know it is incredibly dangerous to go to Central at all... I...I realize that everything Galdwin has done for me would be void if I went and walked right into Bradley's hand, but..."

She shook her head. "I believe that I can end this war... at the very least, I believe I can stop my mother and my country from their aggression. She was not always the woman she is now... and I believe with the summons I can find a way to bring her back to how she was; and if not, I will have the power to... to force her to step down from the throne."

Garnet was having a hard time coming to grips with the possibility that she would have to face her mother as an enemy... but she had acknowledged it could happen.

"I must do this. I feel it is what I am supposed to do."

Alexandria Castle: Brahne's Chambers

There was a time when Brahne respected and valued Beatrix's opinion on matters from war to economic issues to her own personal issues. Now, though, those days were gone. The miasma poisoning had warped her mind.

"You just don't get it, Beatrix!" Brahne shook her head. "We let Amestris attack Galdwin, and while they battle each other we can conqueror them both! If we just find Garnet, I will have the power to destroy them all! Alexandria's glory will spread throughout the world! You can't see my vision! Go! Just leave me be!"

Brahne's vision... was it really her's?

Alexandria Castle: Garnet's Chambers

Zidane ignored Steiner's outburst... he was starting to think that he should just do that every time Steiner spoke. However, at the mention of this 'Doctor Tot', Zidane's face lit up.

"Doctor Tot? Alright! Let's find that guy and see what he knows."

Central City, Amestris-Mustang's office

Hughes paused, before speaking.

"But I thought you wanted to see more pictures of Elysia!" he said.

When that remark sunk in (and after he had received any glares Mustang or Hawkeye would give him for it), he went on.

"Anyway...Wild Rose...you know how deep they had their hands in the eastern rebellion. Heck, they even openly challenged the military in a few cases. Anyway, we don't know too much about them. They're a rebel group, that we know, and they appeal to, well, anyone we've conquered over the last...few centuries. Element benders, disillusioned state alchemists, ishbalans, normal people who trace their descent form conquered nations, all sorts of types. We don't know where exactly they're operating, or how many they currently have...but as you know, the fuhrer is...displeased...that such a group operates within our borders. The military did a crackdown in Fynn City and its surrounding villages in the south...I heard it was excessively violent. The civilian casualties are...well, the numbers haven't come in yet...but there were rebels there, and some documents fell into our hands..."

His eyes shifted.

"How'd you like to get another medal?" he asked. "Besides, unless you want to be sent to fight Galdwin, you may want to make yourself look like a good counter-insurgent." he finished.

Of course, he waited to see if Mustang was interested in this before actually saying what he knew.

Alexandria Castle-Garnet's chambers

Steiner paused.

"Yes, the doctor is here...but before we see him...PUT BACK THE PRINCESS'S THINGS!!!" he demanded.

(Yes, he may be clumsy sometimes, but Steiner can at least be firm. :D)

Alexandria Castle-Brahne's chambers

Beatrix nodded, and with a "Yes, majesty.", she rose and was off.

She was troubled by Brahne's new nature...but still would follow Brahne's orders to the letter.

Paladin Enclave

Galahad nodded.

In response to Garnet's remark about his being sent, Didymus quickly added in:

"Perhaps, lady, but neither of us may be here if elder Dycedarg had not been dispatched." he said with a small grin.

Galahad spoke after Garnet had finished describing her plan.

"Very well." he said. "Indeed, it has been decided that brother Didymus shall accompany you. I shall contact the air navy, and the ranger corps, and arrange for you to be taken, in secret, deep into Amestris by a small airship. You can leave as early as tomorrow morning. But in the meantime, I urge you, rest up. The elders shall congregate in the morning in the cathedral to pray over and send our brother off-" he said, gesturing at Didymus-"and you too, if you wish it. Either way, again, rest well, for you have a long, trying journey ahead of you. With that, unless there is anything else you wish to discuss, I shall take me leave of you."

Unless Garnet were to ask anything of him, he would walk off.

Didymus spoke up.

"The sun's setting. Do you fancy dinner, lady Garnet?" he asked.

(Oh gosh...today/yesterday was epic for RPing...but I think I may be going to bed now. See you all in a few hours! :D)

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Central City Tavern

Crystal couldn't help but to roll her eyes and give a small laugh "The only reason you say that is because trouble follows you, of course i'm not complaining....After all trouble is more interesting than nothing"

As another man who seemed to be taking orders to the surrounding tables passed by Crystal stopped him. Offering another happy grin she spoke "May I have a water please?"

The man, who was probably used to taking orders of drinks much stronger than just water looked and her strangely and gave a nod. In response Crystal grinned and looked back to her conversation with Sama.

Eva didn't particularly like that look Winry was giving her scooter, it wasn't that she wasn't interested....It looked like she was overly interested. Eva prided herself in her bike, it was her means of transportation and basically her child in a sense. She loved every little thing about it. Eva had built the thing up from nothing and she was pretty protective of it....Of course she had brought it here so she might as well let Winry have a look at it.

Eva wheeled the contraption over to Winry pointing to the engine. "I used a steam powered engine, easier to keep cool and clean, but it also means this baby is looouuuud..I was hoping you'd know some way to quiet it down"

The Crazy One

Central City: Mustang's Office

Unfortunately for Hughes, Mustang had little interest in seeing more pictures.

He listened as Hughes went on about Wild Rose's history. He knew of them already, of course. They had been a driving force during the Eastern Rebellion, and it was rumored -- though never proven -- that the group had a hand in starting the Ishbal Rebellion.

Mustang had been involved in Ishbal. It was where the name 'Flame Alchemist' became infamous. It was also there, in the craters he'd created with a mere snap, surrounded by bodies that he realized the true height of corruption that motivated the Fuhrer.

He had met a few Wild Rose operatives... at least, he suspected them of being Wild Rose operatives...

"I'm damn well not interested in a Medal," Mustang reminded Hughes, his sense of humor broken at the moment. "... However, if I found Wild Rose, we might be able to kill two birds with one stone..."

Mustang suddenly grinned. "What do you know, Maes?"

Alexandria Castle: Garnet's Chambers

Zidane laughed nervously, put a few necklaces back, and then strolled over to the door. "Alright, alright! Sheesh... now let's hurry and find Tot, alright?"

Central City Tavern

Sama grinned and nodded his head; it was true. Trouble had a way of finding him almost all the time. It kept the boredom away -- but sometimes it did so in a less than pleasant way.

"I'm glad you think so; because you're right -- I very well might be making some trouble soon." He snickered. "I found the ruins of an old Bending Village near here... it's off-limits to the public; the Amestris military is doing something there. I'm planning on going."

Winry slapped a pair of goggles over her eyes, grabbed a wrench in one hand and a screwdriver in the other and jumped down to the side of the bike. She had fixed steam engines before -- once a truck had come through town, broken down, and she had had to repair it. Another time, she'd been visited the Elrics in Central...

But this bike was different! It was hand-built, custom and unique. A one of a kind vehicle and that meant nothing was standard -- and that would make it even better to fix!

"Quiet it down? Not a problem! A few simple modifications and we can reroute the steam in a different way -- it should cut down on noise and make a smoother ride."

Paladin Enclave

Garnet bowed deeply.

"Thank you, sir. I hope one day soon I can repay your nation and your order for everything you have done by putting a stop to Alexandria's aggression."

As he left, she turned to Didymus. In truth, she had not eaten all day. Up until now, she was not sure if she could pull off her plan... and now the plan was set. She could rest easily, at least for now.

"Yes... yes, I think we should get something to eat..."

((I need to mow the lawn, do some laundry and eat dinner -- but then I'm totally RPing more. :D))
