(Winry's "someone invaded us" remark...it brings a grin to my face because I think C_R has said that Eva's Galdwinian. XD) Central City Tucker residence Instantly, Kimblee was on the alert. The guards were dead...he had either leave, or investigate. He DID notice the blood trail, but he looked over his own wounds. He was still somewhat tired and somewhat wounded from his last fight. However, reporting back without discovering the cause of the sudden disappearance of the guards... Survival of the fittest. He decided that, although it seemed an unwise decision, he'd investigate...and retreat if he had to. Retreating was not a matter of honor or pride in his mind. He viewed it simply a survival method. He slowly, warily, followed the trail... Car Steiner indeed was concerned by the Red Rose. "WHAT THE-STOP THE CAR!" he cried, Zidane's remarks about Garnet forgotten. Alleyway Didymus nodded. ""Boco"? You've named him? Already? Or...is there something I don't know here?" "As for keeping him with us...if that is your wish, then very well. And going to Treno...if you wish it, then sure. Of course, that's quite a ways, even by chocobo it will take quite a while...I wonder if, perhaps the book you seek was not in the library today...perhaps someone checked it out or the firefighters will save it...either way, I would think that it may be worth the risk to remain in Central City for a while, see if we can gather that information." He sighed. "And this chocobo...protected you from your mother...?" Wasn't that supposed to be his job? "...I'm sorry..." he said, his own voice indeed showing some sorrow-and sympathy. "...I'm sorry I wasn't there...to keep you from getting that wound. And, the Red Rose...your mother...I...I can't say I know what you're going through, but...well, I'm here for you. If you need to say something, or need a moment to...vent...or collect yourself..." While every moment they wasted meant more casualties in a war that Alexandria now entered, he thought, at the same time, Garnet couldn't well go about their dangerous mission in a sate of emotional wreck. That could jeopardize it even more. "So...again...I'm...I'm sorry, Lady Garnet..." he said, leaving her nickname behind for a bit. Hold her. passed through his mind. Wait, what? She certainly looked like she could use something like that, but still, that thought hinted at several potential...problems... (GS, whether they stay in Central or go to Treno (or both, just going to Treno later) is your call. Didymus has offered his advice, but will of course defer to Garnet's decision in this matter.) |

(XD Yes, I think she is... and I think Winry knows that, but I don't remember for sure.) [Central City] Tucker Residence The blood trailed followed outside… where two of the guards were dead. A keen eye for details revealed that they were missing their heads. A man stood between their two crumpled forms. He was tall, with snowy hair, dark skin and crimson eyes. A giant scar was splattered across his forehead. He was a man from Ishval, a country long since destroyed and absorbed by Amestris. “…” The Scarred Man looked to Kimblee as he appeared, but did not say a word. He took a few steps forward, and lifted up the sleeve on his right arm. “You… are one of them, aren’t you? One of the abominations… alchemist… come to me. Allow your sin to be your destruction.” Scar beckoned Kimblee to come closer. Car Zidane stepped on the break at Steiner’s request and the car skidded to a halt outside of the exclusive neighborhood of town. A gigantic mansion was half-destroyed by the crashed airship, and flames danced high into the sky. Several soldiers were running around, screaming and shouting. It seemed that whoever lived at the house was important enough that the military was scrambling to assist. “We shouldn’t be here, Rusty.” Zidane told Steiner. “There’s too many soldiers around… if they realize we’re not just a bunch of yaps in a car, the shooting could start fast.” Zidane did not realize the Red Rose was Queen Brahne’s personal ship… Alleyway Garnet was in a state. Nothing had gone as she planned. She had been attacked when she fled Alexandria, the journey to Central had been disastrous, and the best clue she had was burning away in a pyre. Of course, another thought came to her; one that made her sick to her stomach. It was the realization that, if her mother had perished in the shipwreck, then there was no need for the book or the summoning. If Brahne was dead, then Garnet was Queen and she could end the war now. She climbed off the chocobo and leaned against a wall, shaking her head. She found herself almost hopeful that Brahne was gone, just so it could all end… and the thought that she wanted her mother to be dead made her even sicker. "So...again...I'm...I'm sorry, Lady Garnet..." She looked up at him and shook her head. “N-No… It’s fine…” Garnet had to be strong now. Whether Brahne was alive or dead, whether she could obtain the summoning – none of it mattered at the moment. “W-We should look for more information, you’re right… besides, we probably can’t escape with the military out in full force…” Garnet shook her head once more. She paused, and then looked at him. “… I have to go and find out if she’s alive.” Garnet blurted out before she could stop herself. “I have to know! I have to help her if I can… and if not, if she’s gone… then the war is already over.” [Forest] Sama looked over to KxS. She had joined the group as they escaped, and clearly she was upset by everything that happened. “… I can’t tell you what to do. Right now, I’m probably the most wanted man in Central, so if you come with us you’ll probably be in danger… but considering what’s happening, you’d be in danger if you stay.” He shrugged. “Sorry, but I can’t make decisions for you.” |

Central City Tucker residence Kimblee didn't even flinch. He cocked his head to the side, curious. “You… are one of them, aren’t you? One of the abominations… alchemist… come to me. Allow your sin to be your destruction.” Kimblee chuckled. "An Isbalan. Benders, Ishbalans...I begin to wonder about how this state can survive if it can't finish simple tasks..." he said, by "tasks", meaning "pacifications/exterminations". "I'd ask you to turn yourself in, but something tells me that you already aren't going to do that..." he said. Something about the Ishbalan before him looked...familiar. This was just a day full of nostalgia and deja vu for Kimblee. Car "You moron!" Steiner yelled. "That airship is the Red Rose, the queen's personal airship! What is it doing here?! Why has it crashed?! Is the queen...?" He gasped, opened the door, and sprinted out, towards the wreckage... Alleyway “N-No… It’s fine…” "It's not fine." Didymus said. "You have some strength. I can see that. You're showing considerable resilience. either that, or apathy, but I'm sure it's not apathy. I hear it in your voice, I see it in the way you're carrying yourself. You are understandably under great duress. As for not being there...I'm not certain whether to say that that's "fine" or not, either. I was tasked as your bodyguard, your escort. I am expected to offer my life for yours without hesitation, should it come to that. It is my task to safeguard you from as much harm as I can, and yet, here you are...your blood was drawn, and I wasn't there..." He sighed. This was mission-related, but it would sound...so very mushy. (C_R, you reading this? XD) "So there's something I want to ask you. I...don't want to leave your side. You were separated from me for a...what was it? A minute? Two minutes? 180 seconds? That was all the time it took out of my sight for someone to draw your blood...heck, even in my sight, that...thing...grabbed you...twice..." He hung his head. "I...I'm sorry...I'm starting to feel...I mean, you're alright, but still, I wonder...I question if I've really been doing that good a job as your escort...I..." he straightened up. Here goes. "So please...don't leave my side. Don't let yourself out of my sight. If a matter of seconds away from me was all it took for someone to draw your blood...then please. Don't leave my sight. Let me...let me stay close to you until I am relieved of being your escort...please, I know that things may have been MORE dangerous had you stayed out with me, but I still worry, now...so please, don't leave my sight...don't let me leave your side, and don't leave mine, till this quest is over...or, perhaps, in the event we must part ways for your safety, if I were creating a diversion or something..." He sighed. "I know how that sounds...but certainly, you can see the sense in it, right? As for your mother...the war is not over, regardless of her state. Even if she's...gone...then Amestris still needs to be dealt with, and there will be more blood spilled, regardless of what happens now, but yes...of course, let us go see...go see the crash site, if that is your wish. Remember our cover story...albeit with a chocobo, we'll stand out even more...oh well. Let's go." As they moved (walking, riding the chocobo, or whatever) he suddenly looked optimistic. "Even IF the Amestris tome on summoners was consumed in that fire, what about the one you said was in Alexandria? Or even any potential in Treno? Unless your mother took it aboard the Red Rose, which is a possibility, I suppose, that copy should still be fine, right?" He tried to smile at her. |

-Central City- Car “An airship?” Sora said, his curiosity peaking. Why did that seem familiar to him? Kairi also looked curious, “Ohhhh...I wonder...” Streets “This way,” Xehanort said, making his way towards...the airship. He muttered under his breath, and anyone in their groups way would simply move aside. They would have no recollection of them passing. They were not invisible...just hard to notice. Unless one of them did something flashy, they wouldn't be spotted. Of course, if someone was intent on finding them, that person could also break through the magic. -Forest- “Hey, the more the merrier!” Garet grinned, patting the young girl KxS on the head, then turned back to Sama and Crystal. “Hmmm...That sounds like some pretty heavy stuff...I can't really make heads or tails of it though. I just I find my friends before too long as well,” Garet shrugged. Meanwhile, Galv had tensed slightly, at the mention of a name. “Ansem? I...I am not to sure that would be best. Ansem is a former Paladin of my Order, until he turned his back on our teachings. True, he did not leave with bad memories, and peacefully, but it also...tense when a member of the Order meets an ex member...” Galv said, “Though...These Chasers you speak of...I have heard there are Paladins in it...At least, former ones, outside of Ansem.” -Hyrule Castle Town- “Who am I?” Roxas growled, turning to Ganondorf as he slashed another skeletal soldier. “I...am...Chaos!” The Homunculi answered, the blackness in his arms moving up towards his shoulders now, as he once more launched a wild slashing attack at the powerful foe! |

Forest KxS just sat there as Garet patted her head. She liked it when people pat her head. It made her feel useful and loyal. She suddenly shook her thoughts away. She had to stop thinking like that... She knew she was of no use to the gang...she would only cause more trouble. Central City: Streets Shimera looked at the air-ship. "Ooooooooo..." she awed, gazing at the thing. |

[Forest] Sama gave a bit of a sigh. He supposed that Galv had a point; taking a Paladin to Ansem for help might not be the best idea in the world. Still, he did not believe Ansem would turn the redhead away. He shrugged. “It’s up to you, then. I don’t think staying in Amestris is a good idea for any of us, considering everything that’s happening, but I understand responsibility.” He hesitated. “Let me put it this way… if you want to come, then you’re welcome to, and if not, then I hope you can stay safe.” He then looked over to Garet. At least that boy seemed happy enough about going along… which was good, because in his case, Sama had to bring him to Ansem. Though, he was still unsure as to the reasons why… [Hyrule Castle] Ganondorf watched Roxas for a moment and he gave a slight frown. Chaos? Surely it was just the boy’s homunculus name? It was inconceivable that this little punk could be connected to THAT Chaos… “… I see. Then you’ll have to come with me.” Ganondorf decided. He raised up one of his hands, and it started to glow. It seemed the Gerudo Sorcerer was preparing some grand spell; but at that exact moment, a silver arrow came in through a window and struck him in the armor. Ganondorf swore and stumbled back; and then he disappeared in a puff of black smoke. The door of the castle opened, and in came a silent young man in green: Link. He looked to Roxas and paused, remaining on guard. He also didn’t say anything. [Central City] Tucker Residence Scar did not seem impressed by Kimblee, and merely started walking towards him. If Scar knew how dangerous the alchemist was, he did not show it. That, or he was merely confident that it was Scar who was the more dangerous of the two. “I will never submit to your kind, alchemist.” Scar replied at length, raising his right arm. Red Rose Wreckage Zidane just swore aloud as Steiner went bellowing off towards a crashed airship and the exclusive house it had crashed into. The flames rose high, painting the sky with a orange color. The thief nodded to Vivi and then jumped out after Steiner, running to catch up with him. ‘Just my luck… this idiot is going to get us all caught… I’m sure this won’t end well..’ Zidane gulped. As Zidane approached Steiner, he found he was not alone. “Hey! You! Hold it!” Several soldiers were running about, and they were very well-armed… Alleyway Garnet listened as Didymus spoke, but found herself at a loss for words. She wondered exactly what it was he was trying to say, but at the same time, the words all seemed to bleed together in her mind. The weight of the world was on her shoulders, and indeed, the outcome of many of the major countries may very well depend on her actions in the coming days and weeks. It was a stress unlike anyone should have to endure… and it was complicated by the things that had happened on the airship. He mother was insane, and perhaps dead… and as Didymus said, even if she was, it did not mean an end to the violence. She opened her mouth to speak, to reply to all he had said, but her chance was taken from her. “You there! Stop!” There were several soldiers running around (though, a different group than the ones running after Zidane and Steiner) and some of them had spotted the two youths and the giant gold bird. It seemed the military activity in this area was at a fever pitch… there was good reason for it… |

Central City Alleyway “You there! Stop!” Before Garnet could even speak, Amestris' men were upon them. And they had the chocobo. Didymus wondered if he should just attack the soldiers, or if they had some SLIGHT chance of talking their way out of this. His overcloak WAS on, tattered as it had become, so his Paladin's robe was concealed...still, he fingered his sword's hilt... "Yes?" he said. "I'm sorry, we just escaped from the Red Rose...there was a terrible accident..." Again, STILL technically true, even if, again, misleading. They HAD escaped from the Red Rose, and the Black Waltz bringing the ship down WAS an accident. And its effects on Garnet were certainly terrible. "This chocobo flew us off the ship, but I don't know who else got out...if it was alright, we were going to go see..." he said. Tucker Residence Kimblee grinned, not recognizing that exactly about Scar's arm made it so special. The tattoos were there, but they made little sense to him. "Alright...fine." he said. He would have smashed the floor, the walls, the ceiling, something like that...but he rememered he was on orders to not damage a crime scene. He simply brought his own hands up, showing his tattoos. Would one recognize the other? Kimblee thought Scar looked familiar...and that "x" on his head... Crash site Steiner was undeterred by the soldiers. "I must see if the queen is alright!" he shouted, still sprinting. "YOUR MAJESTY!" he called, again and again. Mr. Subtly he wasn't. Hyrule Castle Zelda's face went from one of fearful earnesty to one of relief when Link entered the room. "Link!" she called, then turned back towards Gannondorf. "I believe your chances grow slimmer by the minute, Gannondorf. If YOU surrender...I promise your execution will be quick." she said. Yes, Zelda rarely liked issuing that penalty. But for Gannondorf...she'd do it in a heartbeat. Still, something made her uneasy. Perhaps it was the even darker feeling she was getting from Gannondorf, as if he was even LESS natural now, maybe it was that here he stood, despite Link's apparent dealing with him already... |

-Forest- “...I'll come, for now,” Galv said, “Perhaps I can get some more information. Where is Ansem anyways? How will we find him?” (Ansem's still in Central, if you don't remember, since I haven't used him for a bit. XD) “I guess this Ansem guy has all the answers, huh?” Garet wondered, “Awesome! Hope he knows how to fix a good meal too.” -Central- Crash Site Sora and Kairi were outside the car...Soldiers were coming. This...didn't bode well. Especially since Xehanort saw him, his eyes going wide with a vindictive smile. “There he is,” the old elf said, “The boy with the spikey brown hair and black clothes...He has my Keyblade...” Cess frowned. There were way to many soldiers to make a move though... -Hyrule Castle- Chaos breathed deeply, staring at Link. He hissed, taking a step forward. A hand touched his shoulder, and he froze, beginning to calm down slightly, Namine speaking softly to him. He blinked, shaking his head. Having begun to turn twice so quickly was difficult...If Namine hadn't been here, he really would have lost it and attacked Link...along with everyone else. |

Central City Alleyway The soldiers were tense. It was not surprising… news was spreading quickly through the military: an airship had just crashed into the Fuhrer’s Estate. Yes, the house destroyed by Brahne’s ship belonged to Bradley. The country was in full panic mode. There were reports of the Avatar, the Alchemist Library was aflame, a serial killer had struck again and now the leaders of Alexandria and Amestris were both missing in the airship wreckage. Of course, even among the military, news was spotty and scare. Most of the soldiers just knew that all hell seemed to be breaking loose and Mustang had given standing orders that anyone who was even remotely suspicious was to be detained. “That may be true, I don’t know and I don’t care. You’re down the street from the Fuhrer’s mansion after a ship crashes into it – so don’t move! You’re both being placed in custody until you can be questioned by an officer!” The soldier leading the group decided. Garnet hesitated, looking to Didymus. They had been successful in talking their way out of trouble on the way to Amestris… but this time, it did not seem like it would work. It was at that moment that the Princess REALLY wished she had studied black magic. Tucker Residence Scar paused, looking at Kimblee. The man was an alchemist, no doubt… but there was something more to it than that… Kimblee’s hands… those tattoos… Memories rushed back to Scar’s mind. His eyes narrowed and he charged at Kimblee. “You!” Scar hissed, trying to grab the alchemist’s face. Scar was going to enjoy this particular game of ‘exploding faces’. Crash Site Zidane gave a huge groan. He looked to Sora and the others. Steiner had just gone running off, towards a crashed airship and a battalion of soldiers… and now some weird elf had shown up. “Oh man… I can’t believe I got mixed up in this whole thing… this princess better be a looker for me to go through all this trouble.” Zidane complained, drawing both of his daggers. “Vivi, you better help Rusty!” Zidane called. Vivi whimpered in a very Miki-ish way. “I… Uh… He… O-Okay…” The small black mage went running after Steiner, shooting a fireball at a group of soldiers. Unlike in Didymus and Dagger’s case, the soldiers had not even hesitated upon seeing Steiner. He was a giant man in rusted armor, charging towards the burning wreckage that was once the Fuhrer’s Estate. They started shooting at him immediately. [Hyrule Castle] ((Vidit, when I said Ganon disappeared in the puff of smoke, I meant the teleportation kind of disappeared. ^^; He’s off to Mordor or Cobra Commander’s house, or wherever he lives. XD)) Link hesitated, looking at Chaos/Roxas. The kid was not human – Link could tell instantly. If you recall his sign ups, this incarnation of Link has a Sheikian Mask he wears over his eyes. The mask has a thousand and one features, and one of them happened to be the ability to see an ‘aura’ around a person; it essentially can determine whether a person is a human, dwarf, elf, ect… In Roxas’ case, it indicated he was a homunculus. Yes, it can recognize homunculi. It’s an ancient magical mask and it has that power. Luckily, it’s a power that cannot be abused, since Link never talks. Oh, and obviously it has the power to let me break the fourth wall with this post so I don’t have to explain all of this later, since I have to get back to work. … Link put his sword away and looked to Zelda. “Your majesty!” Link’s fairy, who I cannot remember what I named her, flew up to Zelda. “Are you alright? We arrived as quickly as we could…” The fairy looked to Roxas and Naimie. “Who are they?” [Forest] Sama nodded. “Ansem usually has the answers…” He paused. “And he usually has a few questions, too. Anyway… we’ll find him somehow! For now, though, we’ll have to find a way of reaching him… I don’t think we should go back to Central yet…” |

Central City Alleyway Indeed, Amestris would be in full panic, and Galdwin, if it caught word of it, would doubtlessly use the chaos in Amestris' central command to try to push forward at the front lines. This could potentially be a crisis for Amestris. Meanwhile, in the alleyway, Didymus was tense. He did NOT want to be detained. They'd see he was a Paladin, and in the circumstances, they'd probably just try to execute him, to say nothing of what they'd do to Garnet. They'd doubtlessly recognize her, as well-she was wearing a large jewel that upon close inspection, he thought, would reveal itself as a sort of Alexandrian heirloom-and proof of who she was. He closed his eyes, silent prayer, preparing for another fight. They had guns; but his brothers had stood against terrible things before. He himself had stood against worse before, and had come out alright. Reflecting on that incident, he was calmed. Don't be afraid. He quickly brought up his hand, and suddenly, as he had done with the first Black Waltz, a bright light shone forth, which would have blinded the Amestris soldiers as he threw off his overcloak and drew his sword, charging them and proceeding to (try to) hit them with the blunt ends of his sword, knocking them out! "Dagger!" he cried. "Get on the chocobo!" If the guards had been dealt with, he would have hopped on said chocobo himself. Otherwise, he remained on foot to face them... (Either way, GS. Don't know what you've got in mind here.) Tucker residence Kimblee jumped back, taken a bit by surprise by the ishbalian's shout. He spoke. "Have we met?" he asked, nonchalantly. "Wait...of course..." Blood-soaked sand. The sounds of battle-or slaughter, as it had rapidly become-in the distance. Not ONE of them was to escape. The entire region was being purged. Wild Rose was in hiding, Ishbal was the last remaining bit of an eight-year struggle. Bradley was tired of their resistance, and had ordered a "final solution" of sorts. He remembered those days well. When he was ordered to just go in, and leave no survivors, regardless of age or gender or fighting status. If they weren't in Amestris uniform, his orders were to kill them. All of them. Across Ishbal, that had happened. Kimblee had savored those days. "...didn't I blow off your right arm?" he asked, also nonchalant, matter-of-factly. Nonetheless, he clapped his hands together, anticipating a fight. Crash site Steiner was being shot at. A bullet richoched off his armor, and he started jumping up and down, waving his hands. "STOP! I MEAN NO HARM! I MUST SEE IF THERE ARE SURVIVORS!!!" he cried, not even trying to go for cover. Hyrule Castle (Ah. I must have missed that. My mistake there. XD) Zelda regarded Miya (yes, that was her name, in reference to Miyamoto, I believe) a bit. "They are...a pair of...foreigners..." she remarked, noting that neither Roxas nor Namine were elves. "They appeared about the same time, I am told that the Wind Mage attacked...yes, Vaati has also returned, it seems..." she hung her head. |

[Central City] Alleyway The guards were taken care of with the blunt edge of Didymus swords and they passed out. These guys were not the most elite of guards, and Didymus’ sword was quite heavy. Dagger jumped onto the chocobo and gave it a kick. “GET ON!” She yelled at Didymus, as she moved her hand and cast a barrier on herself to try to protect from the bullets. ((I have stuff planned. :3 GOOD stuff.)) Tucker Residence Narrowing his eyes behind his glasses, Scar nodded. “… Yes, you did. You were the one who gave me my birth. It was when you took my arm that I became the new weapon of vengeance that I am. Now, I shall come full circle and purge you.” Scar too, was ready for a fight. Crash Site Out of the wreckage appeared a man. The owner of the mansion that was destroyed. Fuhrer King Bradley. And Steiner was running right towards him. [Hyrule] Miya gasped and covered her mouth. “Vaati is back too? Oh my! This is getting baaad! What are your orders, Your Highness? Should Link and I deal with Ganondorf or Vaati? We should call Deedlit to help!” |
