I'll bite your legs off!

Central City Kimblee smirked. "What is life? Survival of the fittest, my friend!" he yelled. The rocks and explosions raged around Sama, but Kimblee was impressed as he charged forward... ...of course, charging forward is what he wanted him to do. The flames, the shaking, all of that, on the other hand, was not. He moved to avoid some of the flames, but that stopped neither some of his hair nor some of his uniform from getting singed. Then came the shaking. It was too much for him to keep his balance, and he tripped, but caught himself in a roll...back towards Sama. Beating out the small fires on his uniform with one hand, he reached for Sama with the other hand... Meanwhile, Garet's attacks struck. His men were dropping left and right. He hoped reinforcements arrived soon... Library The guards were caught by surprise by Zidane's sudden attack, fleeing the room quickly, trying to set up makeshift barricades at the door, and fire into the room. Steiner realized that a frontal attack was not the best idea, and tried to find some cover. "Master Vivi!" he called. "Keep them suppressed with your magic! I can only advance if they cannot get a good shot!" The Red Rose Didymus had quickly disabled the guards. Not surprising. Although they were well trained, they were also nameless characters and no match for a Paladin, even a low-level one. (XD. I'd think he would have leveled up a bit by now...but yeah, not dealing out 9,999 damage each attack yet. :D) Didymus was disappointed, but undeterred, when Black Waltz #2 floated away from him. He rolled to evade the fireball, and the first thing he saw when he was out of said roll was that Garnet had been grabbed by another guard! He charged the guard, on the side of her occupied hand, bringing his sword up, intending to give her a good bash on the helmet, then follow up with a knockout punch while she was reeling. Of course, doing this AROUND Garnet would be difficult...but currently, he was in "the zone", so to speak. Now was as good a time for him to face these odds as almost any other. Beatrix shook her head, her sight returning...to see the flame ball that had missed Didymus spreading on the wooden deck! Her eye widened. "You, mage!" she called at Black Waltz #2. "Extinguish this blaze!" Yes, there was a Paladin right there...but if the ship burned down, Paladins would not be the first of her concerns. Hyrule Castle As Roxas and Namine followed the Hylian guards, they were the subject of much staring. Their ear shape. Soon enough, they were let into Hyrule Castle, and like many landmarks throughout the continent (Alexandria Castle, the Paladin Enclave, Amestris Military HQ complex, etc.,), it seemed to give off an air of weight. Of history. Of culture. As if it were a representative of the nation it was in. Although it was primitive by Galdwinian or Amestrisian standards, it was still a sight to see. Eventually, they were led down a lavish hall to a double door. "Her majesty will see you now..." said an attendant, after the guard had talked to him and explained the situation. "Mind your manners." The doors opened, and inside was Hyrule Castle's throne room. Across the room sat Zelda, regarding them earnestly, regally, but admittedly curiously. |

-Central City- Streets As Garet ran forward, the earth beneath him suddenly seemed to explode, and a large statue made him fly backwards. He landed hard, gritting his teeth, standing back up. That shirtless guy was back. “Children...with such exceptional skill...” Alex Louis Armstrong muttered, having appeared now in his shirtless glory. He had come across them earlier...but had let them go, hoping they would have evaded detection. Children... “I am Alex Louis Armstrong, the Strong Arm Alchemist! I must ask you all to surrender quietly. I would hate to have to harm any of you,” Armstrong said, stars around him. Galv had jumped from the soldiers when Garet's move went off, lightning still crackling around his body. He was worried...They needed to retreat. This was going to get a lot worse... “Sama!” Galv yelled, “Can you make a tunnel and get us out of here?” They might all have abilities, but there was no way they could take on an entire army and all the State Alchemists on their own. Library Sora spun his Keyblade, feeling the magic, standing by Vivi. “I know some magic too! I'll back you up!” Sora told the magic user, ready to help. -Hyrule Castle- The two walked forward slowly, and once they were at a respectable distance, Namine stopped them, then curtsied. Roxas paused, then jerk his upper body some, in a bow-like motion. “Thank you for seeing us, your majesty,” Namine said, eyes to the ground to show respect, “My comrade and I have been searching far and wide for...information...My name is Namine...I am...half-elf, on my father's side. This is Roxas. He is-” “I'm a monster,” Roxas answered, then looked right at Zelda, “I use to be human...But I was dying. A stranger gave me a choice...To either die...or become something else. Obviously, I chose not to die...and in return, I am now a monster...” He patted his chest, “What you see is no longer my true form. And my true name is no longer Roxas either. I say this...so you know what I am...I am...Homunculi...I killed, many times, before encountering Namine here...With her around...I can suppress the urge. But only barely. I can still feel it. Bubbling beneath.” Namine paused, surprised Roxas had been so forthright, staring at her companion in slight shock. She then turned back to Zelda, eyes up a little more, wondering what her reaction would be. “We come here because I know of your people's extensive knowledge of the magical arts...I hoped...to find a cure. To return him to normal. Or, at the very least...to help suppress the monster within him,” Namine finished. Roxas frowned a little. He had long since been convinced he was a monster. But Namine seemed determine to prove that the thing that drove him was not himself, but rather, something he could fight back. |

((UGH. Sorry for the delay. Grandpa had another virus and I had to play 2AM tech support again. >_>)) [Central City] Streets As Kimblee tried to grab Sama, Sama shot out his own hand and grabbed Kimblee’s wrist, pushing it away from his body. He then jumped back very quickly to stay away from Kimblee. Ansem had taught him all about alchemy, and Sama recognized the tattoo on Kimblee’s hand. Judging from the explosions Kimblee had made, it would not be a good thing to have happen to Sama’s body. “Sama!” Galv yelled, “Can you make a tunnel and get us out of here?” Sama did not want to retreat… Kimblee pissed him off, and he wanted to stop this man. He could sense that this man was dripping with malice and cruel intentions. … and yet, what choice did he have? Garet was important to Ansem, and that meant that Sama had to protect him. Galv might have been a new friend, but a friend was still a friend and he could not ignore his request. And Crystal had been his friend since he was just a kid, and besides... “We’re outta here!” Sama jumped back and created fearsome winds that roared around them in a dome-shape. They were strong enough to hurl stones and bullets away from them, and they would have thrown any man in their path like a ogre hurling a tiny pebble. Sama slammed both hands into the ground, and created tunnels beneath all of his friends; dropping them beneath the ground. He quickly connected the tunnels together, and then sealed the entrances. “We should go, I guess…” Sama sighed. Once again he had failed to defeat Amestris… Library It was a library, so the makeshift barricade was most likely made from bookshelves and chairs; all wooden objects. Vivi nodded to Sora to indicated he would appreciate the help, and then switched spells. “Fire!” Vivi shot a giant fireball at the shelves, probably igniting them instantly! Zidane, meanwhile, gave a huge shout of joy. “I FOUND THE BLOODY THING!” He screamed, tucking a book into his jacket. “Let’s ditch this party!” [Red Rose] ((XD I actually meant the fact this is more or less his second real mission, but I’d say his level would probably be in the mid-teens, Final Fantasy wise. Maybe the twenties, but then, he’s really only fought one boss (two if you count Bradley from the prologue) and usually you need to waste more than that to get to the twenties… and holy crap do I sound like a nerd right now. XDD)) Black Waltz No. 2 begrudgingly obeyed Beatrix, spraying the ground with a layer of blizzardy frost to extinguish the flames. Didymus, meanwhile, had knocked out the guard holding Garnet and she managed to escape… for a moment. Black Waltz No. 3 swept down and grabbed her from behind, pulling her into the air. “Ack!” Garnet cried out. She was, however, growing bored of the damsel-in-distress roll. She punched the Waltz repeatedly in the face in an attempt to be freed; but the creature just growled at her… until her fist smacked its eye, then it dropped her. Garnet hit the deck, landing on one of the soldiers and knocking her out. Garnet was in a lot of pain, having been dropped a good ten feet. Luckily, she was a White Mage. She waved her hands and cast a ‘Cure’ spell on herself, and the pain vanished. She hesitated and looked down at the injured soldier… and then grabbed the woman’s sword. Garnet had no experience with a blade. She was a Princess, and although her nation favored women as the stronger sex and many of the women from Alexandria were tougher warriors than the men, a Princess was still a Princess and not allowed to join in anything considered too dangerous – like sword fighting. … That did not stop her, when Black Waltz No. 3 swept in after her again. She slashed the sword wildly and inaccurately, and missed the creature by a mile. It ended up shocking her with a mild lightning spell. Black Waltz No. 2, during the meanwhile, was intent on killing Didymus. It let loose a horrific roar and sent a arc of lightning at his head! |

(Yeesh. That's alright, GS. Hope it worked out.) Central City Streets Kimblee's wrist was caught, and he was about to try shoving the OTHER wrist at Sama, but he jumped back. Suddenly, men were thrown about-Kimblee one of them. He tried to get up, and coughed up some blood. Still, he smirked. "I've gotten rusty..." he muttered. "...alert Colonel Mustang that the Benders escaped, but they're probably just tunneling under us or something..." he said. Library Indeed, the barricade was made of wood. And when Vivi unleashed a flame attack, and Zidane made his declaration, he paused. One way out, right? The flames kept the Amestris troops under cover/retreating. "Very well." Steiner said. "Back the way we came?" he asked. There was one other way out...it would require action. The Red Rose (XD, ah, so THAT'S what you meant by low level. Still, that analysis was awesome. XD)Didymus had been watching Garnet, and panic clawed at him when she was caught up (he had tried to stab or slash the Black Waltz when it grabbed her), when she fell, and he had actually been sprinting to her side, and when she was shocked... ...again, he was in the zone already. His adrenaline was flowing, his faith standing, and all the things that a Paladin should be in battle. Watching this Garnet threatened was not the main motivation...but still... ...he charged through the lightning, holding out his sword to block it. It should have been able to block a magical attack. If it was in his path, he would have taken another swipe at it...but there was Garnet. He couldn't afford to check her, this was battle, but sword out, he stood there next to (or even over) her, his expression earnest, very much so, sword out, looking to the Waltzes and Beatrix and Brahne in alternation. Beatrix was puzzled. First, the queen mistreats her daughter, then, her servants injure and harm the princess, THEN, the intruder stands by her, looking serious, even intimidating (to others, Beatrix was hardly intimidated), over/next to her, in what was clearly meant to be a position in which to defend her... ...in Beatrix's mind, the world had just turned upside down. "Fool!" she scolded Black Waltz no. 3. "Apprehend the princess, but do not harm her!" For his part, Didymus was now keeping a "patrol zone" around Garnet-if a Black Waltz ventured too far in, he would charge at it, but kept within a small radius from his charge. However, he wasn't confined to close range, necessairly... A silent prayer, and he looked up, towards the nearer Black Waltz... ...he raised his arm, and indeed, much like when he had fought the first Black Waltz, a light shined forth from his hand...but this was not just blinding...to cursed things, animated by magic, it would be damaging. Beatrix looked on, finally reaffirming her resolve despite recent events. "You are indeed valiant, Paladin. But even if the mages were not her to assist me, you would be far outmatched." she said coldly. Didymus glared back at her. "A Paladin does not rely on his own strength-" "-ah, yes, I am aware of the faith you keep and your Order's positions...you are still outmatched. I once felled one hundred knights in duel. What chance do you think you have?" "Do I need to repeat myself?" "I suppose not..." she said. She brought her blade up. "...very well. Prepare to discover if your faith is indeed correct." Didymus readied himself for battle now with Beatrix...if Garnet was alright, she had this chance...to speak up or do something... Hyrule Castle Zelda listened intently, before speaking. "It has been long since we had any contact with humans, or dwarves. And yet here you stand, professing to have the blood of both our kind and humankind within you? Interesting...regardless, I have not heard of a "homunculus", although I am familiar with the term. I know not what our magics can do for you...however, I know who it is you faced: the wind mage, Vaati. He has been a scourge to my people before, and his recent reappearance coincides with that of another scourge: the theif-warlock, Gannondorf, who we ALSO thought was vanquished. They say he spoke to you as if he knew you, so I ask you now: how would this be the case? For your aid, I would gladly help you...although I am uncertain how much help I could be." she said. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Central City- Underground “Okay...This has been one of the craziest days I've ever had...And believe me, I've had some pretty wild days,” Garet said. He held up his hand. Psynergy glowing, to help create light. Galv sparked more, creating light as well. “Well, my cover's blown,” Galv sighed, “The Order isn't going to like that...But at least I've established contact with some people fighting against Amestries on the inside...” “We should probably go though,” Garet said, peering upwards, “Before they use their alchemy to get under as well. Huh...and if I couldn't see any Psynergy rings, I could swear that's what they were using...” Streets “It seems they have escaped,” Armstrong said, walking towards Zimblee, “And you are in need of medical attention...” Armstrong didn't really like the fellow alchemist, but he didn't want to go after the children...So he felt he should deflect the attention elsewhere at the moment. Library Sora had used his Fire spell the same time Vivi did. But now...That meant their was a fire barricade in front of them. And the entire place was made of wood. ...They probably should have thought this through. “...Ummm...How are we suppose to get through the fire?” Kairi wondered, looking worried. -Hyrule Castle- “I do not know of him personally...” Roxas answered, “If he knows me...He could very well have been...changed, by the same person who made me into a monster...Who this person is, I'm sorry, I do not know. They kept themselves secret, hidden...And the memories of that specific time are...hazy, at best.” He sighed, knowing that their was very little info he was actually giving. “Your...highness. I don't know what you have to offer for us...But, for payment of any help you can give, I will lend my strength to defeating this Vaati and Ganondorf. I am quite powerful, and near impossible to kill. Besides...it might be fitting. One monster destroying others...” Roxas continued, offering his services. |

-Central City- Underground Crystal, like the others, made it underground with Sama. They were all a bit worse for wear and would be sore in the morning, but other than that they seemed okay for the time. The girl frowned and rushed over to Sama, who was in front of the group. It was probably a good idea to leave the boy alone, but she doubted she could right now. He was probably really upset about this... "You okay?" Crystal asked, putting a hand on his shoulder. |

((I honestly have no idea if it’s fixed or not. O.o I do know it either gets fixed today, or he’ll probably have to take it to a pro @ Best Buy or something, because I’ll both not be here, and am out of ideas. XD)) [Central City] Streets Hawkeye gave a sigh. She had not fired many shots during the battle, but that more the fault of Kimblee than anyone. Dodging fireballs was one thing, but the constant explosions that fool made had the air thick with soot and debris and made it difficult for her to get a bead on something as fast as the Avatar. ‘… That’s a load, Riza… you’re using Kimblee as an excuse…’ She thought to herself. She was Riza Hawkeye! A little dust and debris could not stop her from shooting something – warzones were a lot messier than these streets, and she performed just fine many times before. And that was why she hesitated. She remembered Sama. She had shot him once before. Her bullet had ‘killed’ him back then, and yet here he was. It was not some different Avatar, or some new Avatar… it was the same boy. She was sure of it. That had stayed her hand… she was confused by all that was happening. Underground Sama felt like someone had just shot him in the head… again. While they had escaped from the military, for the time being, he was feeling run down. For a second time, he had confronted the Amestris Military – the people who destroyed his home, tore apart his people and caused countless other wars. Kimblee was not just a soldier following orders; he was a monster. He not only believed the lies Bradley had spread about the Bending Tribes, he seemed to be thrilled about killing them. No… he seemed to just like killing period. A man who saw life as nothing, who claimed only strong people had a right to continue living. Sama hated him. "You okay?" He felt Crystal put a hand on his shoulder and he gave a small sigh. He had failed to defeat Amestris for a second time, but at least his friends were safe… well, safer than they were above ground. “I-I’m fine.” Sama answered. In truth, he did not know if he was fine, but he did know that he had to be strong right now. Garet suggested that they leave, and Sama fully agreed. Had he not been so upset about what just happened, he would have taken the time to try to explain things to Garet… but for now, escape seemed more important. “… I’ll keep digging the tunnel, get us to someplace outside of Central. We’ll probably have to stay underground until we find a forest or somewhere else to come up where we would still be hidden.” He turned his foot slightly and the tunnel started to grow, moving off to the East. [Red Rose] Garnet shook her head, trying to get her barring. This was not a situation she was used to. She had no experience in combat, no training with a weapon, and was fighting several soldiers, two flying monsters and one of the greatest warriors in the world… and her mother. “I’m fine, but we have to get out of here!” Garnet shouted up at Didymus. She did, however, read a lot of books. “Haste!” Garnet shouted, and suddenly her body shone with a bright white light. A clock seemed to float over her head, and the hands on it spun round and round, faster and faster. She jumped to the side, easily moving faster than the guards as she ran… right towards the control room. Brahne growled and tried to grab her, but Garnet jumped clear over her mother’s arms, landing in the inner part of the ship. “Kweh!” Garnet spun and saw one of the rarest sights in all the land: A Golden Chocobo. The rare bird could fly as fast as an airship, swim as well as a war boat, run faster than most cars and even dig underground! They were incredibly rare. … but it makes perfect sense for the Queen of Alexandria to have a Gold Chocobo. She was Queen, one of the rulers of the continent! So this is a helpful plot device that actually makes sense. “Chocobo?” Garnet paused, and then she got an idea. Outside, though, Didymus was in trouble. Beatrix was presumably attacking or about to attack, and the two Black Waltz flew around him both charging their energy, waiting for a chance to kill him! [Hyrule Castle] I will lend my strength to defeating this Vaati and Ganondorf. I am quite powerful, and near impossible to kill. “Ah, but so am I.” It seemed there was an interruption in Zelda’s court. The door swung open, the guards who had been in front of it lay on the floor in a crippled heap. A tall man in black armor stepped into the room. His red hair and green skin gave him away as a male Gerudo; and there was only one of those currently alive. Ganondorf. Some called him a simple thief, while others claimed he was the King of Evil. Some said he was just a sorcerer of great strength, while others swore he was the strongest mage who had ever lived. Whatever the truth behind his origin and his powers, one thing was certain. He had been attacking Hyrule for years. He had been killed before by Link, and yet here he stood, strolling into the room with his blood-colored cape draped on his shoulders. “Princess Zelda… it has been too long since last we met. Tell me, do your people still have hope? Do they still trust that you can lead them out of the darkness that surrounds your kingdom? Do they still believe that some old sword and a mere boy can bring them peace?” Ganondorf did not seem the least bit worried about anyone in the room. He walked by guards as if they were statues, and only glared at Roxas. |

Central City Streets Kimblee sighed. "Yeah, I could probably use some help..." he said. "But if these people just dug underground...maybe we can catch them..." he said. He turned to Hawkeye. "So, why didn't you cover me? I saw several good shots you could have taken. That girl, that boy, both of them recklessly charged me...is something on your mind, lieutenant?" he asked, smirking a bit. Library Indeed, Sora was right. The fires were spreading. "MASTER VIVI!" Steiner yelled. "Can you put out this fire?!" He then shouted to all of them. "And what about getting out?! Are we going out the same way we came in?!" he asked. The Red Rose As Garnet jumped, Didymus wanted to give chase... ...but Beatrix was there, narrowing her eyes at him. She charged, brought her blade up... ...a sound she had not expected to hear manifested. The sound of swords clashing. He had blocked her strike. He couldn't see where Garnet had gone, but if he failed here...what would become of her? Of Galdwin? Of Alexandria? He couldn't lose. Lord willing, he HAD to win this fight. Beatrix's surprise was evident, but she was undeterred. She struck again, and again her blow was parried. She then was shocked when she had to parry a blow. The fighting became faster, with Didymus mostly on the defensive...but Beatrix was inwardly impressed. Few could stand against her like this. Although she had never fought a Paladin before. She tried another blow, was deflected, and actually shoved back! She was...agitated would be a mild word for it. "You fight well, Brother Paladin..." she spat, but believing that he was a worthy enough opponent to warrant his formal title. "...but your valiance ends here..." She began to concentrate...she was going to play her trump card. Didymus realized that something big was about to occur, and decided not to simply let it happen...he charged forward...he had to win this...he had to see Garnet safely out...right? Wasn't that his task? Hyrule Castle Zelda's jaw dropped. "How did you-how is this possible?!" she demanded. Few things visibly intimidated Zelda. She was known as compassionate, kind, and benevolent, but her demeanor was rarely anything else but professional and even cool or cold, and impersonal. Few things shook her up very much, except those few things which drove her to anger, which even then was contained. ...Gannondorf conjured up another emotion. She found herself trembling, her thoughts clouded... Some of the guards may as well have been statues. Zelda was not the only one in the room who found Gannondorf intimidating. In something of a panic, Zelda quickly muttered something and performed a gesture with her hands... ...a fireball formed, flying out from her at Gannondorf! It was a hasty, almost reflexive response to the man who had terrorized her people and possibly dispatched her parents suddenly appearing before her... |

Central City Underground KxS had followed. She doesn't know why she's doing this now...she wanted to turn back and leave. But...she also wanted to hang out with these guys. She wanted some friends. But she was too shy and quiet to even start a casual conversation...heck, this didn't even seem like the right time to do so. She was also feeling bad because she didn't battle. Sure, she could have lost very easily, but it would make her seem more useful and less like a coward. Her head hung low as she thought of turning back. |

-Central City- Underground Garet and Galv followed after Sama, still providing life. Library “Let's try this...Blizzard!” Sora yelled, the ice spell shouting forward at the fire, trying to put it out, “Blizzard!” He fired a couple more spells...but he was running low on magic... -Hyrule Castle- Namine eeped, stepping back. Roxas growled, holding up his hands. In a flash of light, and a flash of darkness, he held up his two Keyblades, Oathkeeper and Oblivion. His hands became dark, as he reverted slightly, eyes turning yellow. “I suggest you leave...” Roxas snarled, ready to defend Namine at all costs, “Or do you want to feel the Chaos?” |

[Central City] Streets Hawkeye did not like Kimblee’s questioning, and yet, she was asking herself the same questions. “… You are mistaken. I did not have a clear shot. I had opportunities to shoot, yes, but I would not want to accidentally shoot you, sir.” Hawkeye explained. One thing was true… she did not want to shoot Kimblee. At least, not accidentally. “What’s on the mind’s of my people is my concern, Major, not your’s… and in the future, try to limit property damage when fighting in the city.” Mustang had arrived. He had an intense anger on his face that mixed with stress. It was clear that Roy was not a happy man today. He stepped forward and looked to Hawkeye, Armstrong and Kimblee. “The situation has gotten worse. There are reports of gunshots at the Library, and now a fire has been reported. In addition, Shou Tucker, the Sowing-Life Alchemist, failed to report to the call. The soldiers dispatched to his home to find him reported that he was murdered… apparently it was a grizzly scene. One of the soldiers is still throwing up.” Mustang was unhappy. The Avatar was here, someone broke into the Central Library and started a fire, and now a State Alchemist was dead. All of it on his watch. “I’ve dispatched units to the library to contain the situation… Hawkeye, you should head there too. Take command when you arrive. Armstrong, the Avatar is underground – dig us a path to find him. Kimblee…” Mustang hesitated. Kimblee’s explosive powers might help in digging the tunnel… or they might collapse it. “Report to the Tucker residence, see what you can learn… and remember, it is a crime scene, so don’t destroy anything.” Library Vivi nodded to Steiner, but he was nervous about the whole thing. He threw up his arms, shouted ‘Blizzard’ and sent a wave of snow at the flames, extinguishing them. CRASH! Zidane had just shattered a window. “COME ON!” He yelled to the others and jumped out. Underground Sama kept digging the tunnel quietly… but suddenly he stopped. “I… I’m sorry. I couldn’t defeat them back there…” He said quiet, not looking at the others. Being the Avatar could be a burden sometimes. [The Red Rose] Beatrix was preparing her most dangerous attack. Didymus would have been defeated soundly if it struck him – since it was one of those one-hit KO attacks that are so cheap. Luckily, Didymus’ charge was stopped when Black Waltz No. 2 swept down and grabbed him. It had not used the rope this time and seemed to be in pain at touching his armor, so it quickly released him. It also quickly shot a fireball at his face. Inside, Garnet was confronted by her mother. “You… you ungrateful little brat! You’ve stolen from MY kingdom and ruined Garland’s plans! How dare you!” Brahne spat, barring down on Garnet and striking her with her fat fist. Garnet grunted and fell back against the wall. She felt a trickle of blood on her forehead from where Brahne’s ring had cut her. “Mother… mother… this is not you! You were such a kind, sweet woman…” Garnet was in tears. Who wouldn’t be? Her own mother had just punched her in the face! “I am not your mother, you filthy creature!” Brahne spat, and Garnet felt as if someone had just stabbed her. She knew it was true, that she was not Brahne’s daughter, but never before had that mattered to either of them. “… What did he do to you?” Garnet gasped. “KWEH!” The Chocobo suddenly jumped over Garnet and pecked Brahne in the face, causing her to fall back. “Kweh! Kweh?” The Chocobo looked to Garnet, who hesitantly jumped on its back. [Hyrule Castle] Ganondorf raised his hand and a puff of black smoke erupted around his palm. A bat shot from his hand and flew right at the fireball. The two connected in mid-air and seemed to struggle. Ganondorf’s magic and Zelda’s were locked in combat! Then, at length, the bat was engulfed in flames and flew right at Ganondorf! … and landed gently on the palm of his hand. “Ha ha ha… Princess, I would say it takes courage to attack me… but I see the way you tremble in my presence!” Ganondorf laughed. Suddenly, the bat shot from his hand and struck one of the frightened guards; causing him to burst into flames and die. He was just a guard, so I assume its okay to kill him off. Ganondorf then looked over to Roxas and he laughed once more. “Ah ha ha ha ha ha ah ha ha… you are brave, boy… but foolish. Stand aside, and you do not have to die.” Ganondorf warned him. |

I'll bite your legs off!

Central City Streets Kimblee shrugged. He would have mouthed off to Mustang, but no. That would be against proper decourum. Amestris' military culture had made it so strong, right? Survival of the fittest. "Yes, sir." he said, and began heading off, walking patiently, despite losing some blood...his cuts would heal. He soon would arrive... Library Steiner nodded. "Right!" he said, and ran towards the window, jumping out. The guards were returning, and now started firing again... The Red Rose Didymus was about to bear down on Beatrix when the Waltz grabbed him. Now, Paladins like Didymus (as in, in the chapter he was in) did not wear "armor" in the sense that many others did. They fought in white robes, and their avoidance of plate mail was a statement of faith-part of a covenant, some may even say. Indeed, they simply relied on God, and whether or not there is indeed a God to defend them, it had been observed on multiple occasions that Paladins clad in white robes could still often take heavy blows and shrug them off. Whether it was blessing or some other type of magic, it seemed that Paladins were protected in such ways even without wearing physical armor-their armor instead being granted from...well, from either some other magic, or from on high. What the Paladins believed was clear, but the subject was very much debated by many. So indeed, one way or another, the Black Waltz had touched the armor on Didymus, and Didymus in turn had tried to use his proximity with his foe to thrust his sword into it. When he hit the deck, a fireball came at him, he rolled again...and Beatrix had to break her concentration to dodge it herself. The fire caught on the deck again, and Beatrix had to close to range with Didymus, and the two's blades crossed again. Now, Beatrix was getting angry, as the two parried each others' attacks again and again. Hyrule Castle Zelda was trembling, as one of her guards was dispatched and her own magic was bent to Gannondorf's will. She didn't speak, uncertain of what to do. She was legitimately terrified of him. Some of her more loyal and brave guards were now gathering before her, but even their uneasiness was clearly noticeable... |

GRAPPLING HOOK!

Underground Crystal followed the others quickly through the dimmly lit tunnels, not able to provide much assistance for the time being. While there was wather underground, bending it could have caused a shift in the soil and brought the tunnel down even faster than Sama could react. Instead Crystal just walked quietly until Sama spoke. “I… I’m sorry. I couldn’t defeat them back there…” "Oh Sama..." Crystal started with a frown "It isn't your fault, it's better that we retreated...That guy would have brought the whole city down before he stopped. It's for the best..." The girl sighed and looked around the tunnel. It was small and a bit creepy...The girl shuddered and looked back to her friend. "Anyways we'll be fine! This'll give us time to think of a new plan!" |

The Crazy One

[The Red Rose] Waltz No. 2 let loose another angry roar, and continued lobbing fireballs at Didymus. It did not seem to care that Beatrix, the Alexandrian soldiers and the ship were all in its line of fire. The Black Waltz were failed experiments. They were unpredictable and violent. This one might have destroyed the entire ship, if not stopped. The deck was burning in several spots now, and smoke rose as Beatrix and Didymus crossed blades. Suddenly, the window of the cabin burst open! Garnet came riding out on the back of the Gold Chocobo as it cried out ‘KWEH!’ and landed on the flaming deck. “Didymus! We’re leaving!” She called out to him. “Get on the chocobo!” “STOP! HER! NOW!” Brahne shouted. “Beat her if you have to, just keep her alive! KILL THE OTHER ONE!” [Central City] Shou Tucker Residence The Tucker Manor was empty, aside from a few soldiers who were guarding it. Inside… was a mess. Shou Tucker was dead, but whoever had killed him had used some form of alchemy to make his head… explode. It was a grizzly scene, and one GS does not feel like describing it in detail. Let’s just say there was a lot of red stuff, and it certainly was not Kool-Aid. [Library] Vivi unleashed another batch of lightning. Even if it did not actually hit the soldiers, it was a very bright light in front of them and would distract/blind them long enough for the group to escape. Vivi hurried to the window, climbing out with a little difficulty. Outside, Zidane had already stolen a car off the street and was waiting for the others. “COME ON!” He yelled. It was a good thing there was so much else happening in Central, or they would have a much harder resistance. Luckily, the Avatar and the murder of a State Alchemist took priority or someone stealing a book. [Underground] Sama gave a little sigh, but knew that Crystal was right. He could have defeated Kimblee… but doing so would have meant a large-scale battle, and people would have gotten hurt, probably killed. If he killed a bunch of people just to destroy Kimblee, he was no better than the lies Amestris told about him. “You’re right… we’ll come up with a great plan! But first, we need to get out of here…” Sama pressed his hand against the ‘ceiling’ above them. He could feel tree roots… they were beneath a massive forest not far from Central. “We could get out here, and lie low in the forest for a while.” He told the others. “Or we could keep going and look for another town…” [Hyrule Castle] It was no wonder why the guards, and their princess, were terrified. Ganondorf was a horrible man and he intended to destroy and enslave their kingdom. He was also a dreadfully powerful mage. “Surrender, Princess, and perhaps I will allow you to live as my queen.” Ganondorf sneered. He moved his hand and shot a ball of red energy at one of the guards; it engulfed him and when the energy dissipated, the guard was dead and his body reduced to a charred skeleton. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Central City- Streets “Sir,” Armstrong nodded, saluting Mustang, then placed his fists together, his odd gauntlet-like devices sparking as the alchemy prepared itself. Armstrong then stepped forward, and slammed his fist into the ground creating a large hole, burrowing deep into the ground...In the shape of his own head. “Hmmmm...I'm not sure how well this will work, sir. If the Avatar is closing them up behind him, we have no way of knowing which direction they went in,” Armstrong told Mustang. “I could try picking a direction and seeing if we have any luck, though.” Underground “We were outnumbered, and it was only a matter of time until we were further overrun,” Galv spoke up, “Running to live and fight another day is nothing to be ashamed of. Not when one's mission still needs to be fulfilled.” “Yah!” Garet nodded, helping Crystal and Galv to cheer up Sama, “I mean, I've faced lots of foes before, but never an entire army, and I always had my friends backing me up.” Library Kairi grabbed Sora's hands, and the two jumped out the window, Sora picking Kairi up and jumping after the others. -Hyrule Castle- “Don't underestimate me!” Roxas/Chaos yelled, charging at Ganondorf, swinging his Keyblades around, slashing at him with both blades! Namine ducked behind somewhere, hiding from the magic, as Roxas attacked Ganondorf. |
