GRAPPLING HOOK!

Central City Streets- Crystal was confused to say the least. Armstrong had referred to himself as a state alchemist, and was wearing the clothes of the military...So why hadn't he attacked them for Sama yet?! Either he was REALLY dense or REALLY smart. She wasn't sure which, but they also couldn't afford to find out. "Don't worry! We'll be fine" Crystal said, raising her voice a bit to speak over the blaring alarms. They needed to hurry. The girl kept her hands at the ready, just in case she needed to water bend. “We...better go then, right?” "Uhh yeah! Let's go!" She girl exclaimed, taking one more look over her shoulders at the creepy shirtless man before taking off once more. |

Central City: Streets KxS just nodded and looked toward Garet. It seemed she would only go if he went. Central City: Alleyway Shimera walked out of the alley, still a bit drained. Her stomach made a loud noise, though it wasn't as loud as the alarms. Still loud enough to hear. She looked about, trying to see if there was any food around. She was trying not to float...she was really used to it. |

-Central City: Streets- As Garet ran off with Crystal and Sama (and possibly Kxs, if she followed). -Central City: Alleyway- Cess was meanwhile on another street, looking for food. After a few moments, returned, handing Shimera some bread and an apple. “Here. Nothing fancy,” he said, handing the girl the food. “Sorry.” |

Central City: Streets KxS indeed followed. She wasn't the fastest runner most of the time, but she could catch up. Central City: Alleyway Shimera giggled. "It's OK! I don't eat a lot anyways." she said, politely taking the apple and the bread, then eating some of it. |

[Central City] Streets Sama was relieved to see that the large, shirtless man was not a threat – at least not at the moment. He was grateful that Armstrong did not seem to realize exactly what Sama was. As the group ran away to find a safer place, Sama sweat dropped. “So… um… sorry about that.” He said to Crystal and Galv, scratching the back of his head. “Sometimes that Avatar State can be… unpredictable.” He then looked at Garet, who was with them! “Ah! But you’re here! That’s great! I’m Sama of the Seekers, we were sent to find you and help you!” Military HQ The moment General Haruko arrived; Roy was on his feet so quickly that his chair was still spinning. Naturally, Mustang was in full salute and stood waiting for the General’s orders. He listened to Haruko’s words, and had to fight back the grin. As usual, there was a strange mixture of ‘you’re awesome, Roy’ and ‘you suck, Roy’ in his voice. That seemed to always be the way with his peers; especially those who outranked him. “Sir, I’m curious to that as well. However, I would point out that we don’t yet have any confirmation that the apparition seen in the city is what the Benders refer to as ‘the Avatar’. Furthermore, Sir, even if this is a similar apparition to the one killed during the war, from what I know of their culture, the Benders have had more than one of these ‘Avatars’.” He paused for a moment and continued. “It is likely, sir, that this is the new Avatar, perhaps out after some wayward ideal of revenge. However… whatever the case, we are ready to find it.” Mustang paused. “If you have no objections, sir, I would like to lead the search myself.” Library Zidane rolled his eyes at the knight. He really did not get what Steiner’s deal was! Did the Alexandrian’s all think their princess was as infallible as Steiner seemed to think? Or maybe… “Aw, I get it, Rusty’s got a thing for the princess! Can’t say I blame him, she is a hottie.” Ignoring the rant he was sure would come next, Zidane turned back to Sora. “You’re right… let’s find that book and get outta here!” [Amestris Town] ((When will… you know who… show up?)) Garnet listened to his plan, and she agreed with it. Waiting did seem to be the best course of action. After all, she doubted very much they could take on an entire Amestrisian Military unit… the Amestrisian’s were experts at the art of war, after all. “I don’t have a problem with this plan…” She hesitated. “As for your question, yes, I did plan my escape, but I had time in doing that. I don’t think I’ve quite gotten the grasp of on-the-fly thinking… yet.” Garnet added the last word confidently. ((I’d post more, but I gotta eat something! Be back soon)) |

I'll bite your legs off!

Central City Military HQ Haruko grinned, nodding, keeping the same tone as he had with his previous remarks. "Perhaps...and although I don't doubt the skill of your lieutenant-" Riza was something of a minor war heroine herself for her shot in that battle-"-we never recovered that...thing's...body. We don't know if it was dead, or even what it was-although the "Avatar" theory seems most likely. Whether it is the same one we encountered in the Valley or a new one, either way...go ahead. Lead the search. I can hardly think of a better man to do it. Don't worry, I'll hold down the fort here." he said. Hughes, who was also at attention, was inwardly delighted, somewhat, at least. Mustang had gotten the eyes of the brass, and their compliments-as much as could be expected, at least. Even if the Fuhrer suspected him, would he turn aside the advice of his senior generals? And especially if Roy was able to confirm a kill on-or capture alive, better yet-this apparition, he would be practically GUARANTEED to make the general staff within the month! ...right? Of course, that would be easier said then done, if it was indeed what they were all thinking, but they had bested it before, right? Outside, every state alchemist in Central (except for Roy himself, of course) was formed up and waiting for Mustang's command. This meant, also, that Armstrong, and yes, Edward, would be expected to be there. There was ANOTHER state alchemist there that Mustang would doubtlessly recognize, too. He had a gleam in his eye, and his hair was outside of regulation by a long shot, tied back into a long pony tail. This would ordinarily invite insults, but none came his way. He was standing there was a huge grin on his face, eager for action...he didn't really care who (although he was hoping it WAS a Bender-not only would it demean Mustang for allegedly not being able to finish a "simple task", but he himself hated when he left a task "unfinished".) His hands were tattooed, and most people even WITHIN Amestris' army would say that he was a madman. In Ishbal, he had gone on a killing spree-against his own unit as well as the rebels and Isbalian civilians he had been sent against. Yet he had, by orders from Bradley himself, not only been released from prison, but reinstated as a major in their army! The official reason was that his combat efficiency was undeniable, and Amestris wanted every soldier it could get in its war against Galdwin, but many still believed that releasing him was a bad move...even if nobody dared question it to his face. Shaved and in a fresh major's uniform, Zolf Kimblee stood at the front of the formation, eager to move. Library Zidane was right. Steiner did rant. (Okay, caps lock...ON.) "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?! HOW DARE YOU INSINUATE THAT?!?! ME?! THE PRINCESS?! SHE IS A FAIR MAID-FOR HER AGE!!!!!!! I CANNOT BEGIN TO TELL YOU WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU ACCUSATION!!! I AM ALMOST TWENTY YEARS HER ELDER! I AM APPALLED THAT YOU WOULD BRING UP SUCH A TWISTED, PERVERTED IDEA!!! I SUPPOSE EVEN I SUSPECTED TOO MUCH OF A COMMON STREET-RAT...MONKEY....THEIF LIKE YOU!!! I AM THE PRINCESS'S BODYGUARD AND KNIGHT AND NOTHING MORE!!! IF YOU EVER DO MEET THE PRINCESS, I HOPE SHE SEES YOU FOR THE SCUM THAT YOU ARE!!!!!" However, after Steiner's yelling (and perhaps because of it), some more yelling was heard outside the room. "Who's in there?!" a voice-probably a soldier's-called. Amestris town (Who? If it's who we discussed last night, I think wasn't that supposed to be after Didymus and Garnet had gotten to Central, possibly even checked out the library?) Didymus nodded. "Very well." he said. He noticed the confidence in Garnet's voice at "yet", and grinned, slightly. "Alright." he said. The train left, another would be arriving in a bit. "Well, let's keep an ear out in case that train gets stopped...and our eyes peeled in case they come looking for us. With that said...we wait, and I think I'll have a bite to eat myself..." Finding a nearby bench (and motioning at it to Garnet), he sat down, took off his pack, took out some bread from it, and, after a silent prayer, took a bite. Between bites, he spoke. "...so, "Dagger", if I do have a question, if I may ask...you formed your plan of escape? Does that mean that it was your idea to contact the Order? And on that subject, what was your opinion of the Order when you were living in Alexandria? And, if I may press further, have your experiences altered that at all? I apologize if I press, but I AM curious. If there's anything you wish to know about me, or the Order, or other matters you think I can answer, please, go ahead and ask." He tried to keep alert, but still found himself trying to simply relax, have some food, and enjoy his "dear"'s company... ...he blinked. That idea was getting too comfortable in his mind already. |

-Central City- Streets “Me? Why me? And Seekers? Who are they?” Garet wondered, scratching his head, “And are you guys Adepts too? I didn't think their were any Adepts here in this land! Man, wait until we find the others!” Garet seemed happy to finally find someone else like him! He was getting worried. Alleyway “Alright then...” Cess said, then glanced to Xehanort. “So how do we find where this guy is?” “He's somewhere in this city...I can feel it...” the old elf said, “Not to far...” Library Sora froze, a voice calling through the door. Shoot, what were they gonna do? “Umm...Just a couple alchemists here!” Sora shouted back, “Doing some research!” He hoped they'd buy it. If not, well...A Keyblade could be used for more then just opening a lock. |

[Central City] Mustang saluted Haruko and headed outside. He suspected that Haruko was letting him lead the search for a reason. If Mustang succeeded, it would make Haruko look good too… and if he failed, the blame would rest with Roy alone. He went outside to inspect the troops. Ed was there, looking angry, and Al was with him despite the fact he was not a State Alchemist. He looked to Kimblee and frowned. “… Kimblee. I expect you to follow my orders to the letter. Anything less than that and we will have problems. Understood?” It was less of a question, and more of a thinly-veiled threat. Mustang did not like Kimblee, he did not want him in the military or even on the street, and he would not hesitate to snap his fingers. “Alright everyone! We have reports that the same THING we encountered in the Bending Valley may be in Central. You are to find it and make every attempt to capture it. We WANT this thing ALIVE… however, deadly force is authorized if you must defend yourself or others. Now move out!” Library Zidane jumped up and struck Steiner in the face with his fist. “You IDIOT! You just got us caught!” He hissed as he drew his daggers. Someone was knocking on the door. “Aw, man, we need a way out NOW!” Streets Sama shook his head, wondering how he could explain everything to Garet, and wondering if he had time to before the military showed up. “We’re not Adepts,” Sama said quickly. “We’re Benders, and as for the Chasers, we’re an organization that promotes peace between the nations. Please, Garet, just come with us!” Amestris Town Garnet opened her mouth to respond to Didmyus’ many questions. She indeed had many things to say about Galdwin and her impressions of it… but even before she could there was a suddenly announcement at the train station. “Attention all passengers, do not be alarmed by the ship in the skies. It is merely a representative of our ally, Alexandria.” Garnet looked up and in horror she recognized the ship. “No! That’s… that’s my mother’s ship! The Red Rose!” Garnet gasped and suddenly she clung to Didymus, fear overwhelming her. Had Brahne found her so soon? No… it could not be! They were in Amestris, they were so close to their prize… she could not be stopped now! “She knows we’re here…” Garnet whispered in horror. Black Waltz No. 2 and Black Waltz No. 3 appeared in the skies above, flying directly towards the train station. |

Central City Kimblee simply smiled at Mustang, before speaking. "Of course, sir." he said. "To the letter, nothing less." Of course, no one had said anything about MORE than following his orders to the letter...still, he wasn't about to make a mess in Central. Besides, sitting in that prison had been so very BORING for him...to have TOO much fun so soon after his release would ruin things. Besides, if it was the thing in the Bending Valley...this would be most amusing for him, for all sorts of reasons. He hoped that it was. With that, the state alchemists moved out... Streets Near Sama and company were a couple of...familiar faces. Conversing as usual. They had just arrived, however. "Can I eat them NOW?" "No, that would draw too much attention to us. The military's on full alert. Still, this was strange...what were they attempting to accomplish with that stunt? To cripple Amestris? Why then is that..."Avatar"...back to normal?" "Please...?" "NO! Besides, there's...the redheaded one...you feel it, don't you? He may even know we're here..." Gluttony looked over, his eyes widened, and he whimpered. A wicked smirk, as was often the case, appeared on Lust's face. She screamed again. "MONSTER! WHAT WAS THAT?! SOMEBODY, HELP!" With that, she and Gluttony ducked into a nearby building, and let events they had given a push unfold... (If you don't mind, GS, CR, and Spork...) Suddenly, a patrolling unit of Amestris troops, alerted by Lust's scream, burst into the alley! "Hey! You! All of you! Hands up!" they said, spotting Sama and company. They looked suspicious, and this WAS the area the thing had appeared over... Even as this was unfolding, Kimblee was approaching and word of the encounter was being passed... Library Steiner was shocked. He HAD gotten them caught, hadn't he? How could he be so fool- Zidane's fist connected with his face. "WHAT WAS-never mind!" he said. Indeed, the door burst open as some soldiers ran in. They didn't see Zidane and company immediantly, as there were numerous large bookshelves in the room. "Research? Names and ranks, right now!" one said. Amestris town Didymus was caught off-guard as now Garnet was clinging to him. Not exactly what he expected of an Alexandrian woman. At least, not until he had met Garnet. Unsure of what to do (but to his growing concern, enjoying it), he slowly wrapped an arm around Garnet, trying to be firm, but his mind was racing. "How is this possible...?" he asked, outloud. Were they being tracked? It couldn't have been treason, not from the Order, at least, and then, the only others who knew about it were Galdwin's upper government and military command, and the Rangers who had flown with them...possible that a spy was somewhere in there, but he doubted it. Was it by magic? Some sorcery? ...it couldn't have worked on a Paladin, could it? He doubted that, as well. He looked at Garnet, and suddenly, another thought came to him. Her. Somehow. Maybe it was that jewel. Maybe it was just her, and they had used some spell to find HER. What if she had actually led him into this knowingly? She HAD almost blown their cover in front of the Amestris patrol...was he escorting a spy? A decoy? No. This was the real Garnet, that he knew. Either that, or someone who looked, sounded, and wrote (part of their check was that they had acquired a copy of her signature, and compared it with a signature she had written when Didymus first rendezvoused with her in Alexandria), and otherwise resembled her. There were spells that could do that, he had heard, but they had not believed any such magic was on her. Besides, if she was an elaborate spy, why would she have lured him out into Amestris with her, rather than an Elder or something. She had been ready to proceed without his help before, too! Although unsure, he considered the possibilities, briefly (as in, for a few seconds). Then he made his decision. He believed this was the real Garnet, although she would definitely have seen the puzzling he had gone through in his expression but a moment before. And she was now clinging to him...he could also feel another indication that she was real, and this wasn't some elaborate plot. She was trembling. An actress wouldn't be able to tremble like this if she wasn't truly scared. He had felt this kind of trembling before, in his apprenticeship. At exorcisms. At anti-cult crackdowns where hostages were being rescued. Legitimate fear. But wait, the announcement said that Alexandria was Amestris' ALLY? Oh dear. It had finally happened. That may have meant that Galdwin was now at war it it, too. He believed that even so, Galdwin had a fair shot of winning, but regardless, this was bad news, he thought. And now, two creatures approached. "..may He help us..." he whispered, before shaking his head, and straightening up. "Dagger..." he said. "...I don't know how they've found us, but we need to hide. If you think they're tracking you somehow, tell me, otherwise, grab your pack and let's go!" With that, started running into...somewhere. Somewhere he hoped to avoid notice. Leading Garnet by the hand, hoping, praying, she'd be able to keep up. |

[Central City] Mustang did not like, or trust Kimblee at all. Still, he had no reason to remove Kimblee from active duty, and given the severity of the situation, Haruko would not allow it. Still, Mustang pulled Hawkeye to the side and leaned close to her ear. “Lieutenant, go with Kimblee. I leave it to your discretion. If he steps out of line, if he refuses orders, if you even THINK he is going to be a problem, kill him.” Mustang ordered. “… I understand, sir.” Hawkeye agreed, and then she followed after Kimblee. Streets Sama groaned as a group of soldiers found them. He clapped his hands together and sent a wave of wind towards them. It may be enough to knock their weapons away, but it was certainly enough to keep any bullets they might fire from hitting their targets. “Crystal, Galv, Garet, hurry and get out of here!” Sama yelled. “I’ll hold them off!” Library Zidane paused for a moment. They could fight, but they did not have guns and the soldiers did. Sure, Steiner had armor, but Zidane didn’t trust that fool in a fight. Besides, such rusty armor would probably break from a few .33 rounds. “HOW DARE YOU!” Zidane yelled at the soldiers, keeping his tail wrapped around his waist like a belt. “Do you know who THIS is?” He pointed at Vivi, who jumped a bit. “This is Vivi, the Shining Eyes Alchemist! He’s the only person ever to become a State Alchemist at an earlier age than the Fullmetal! He’s also got a CRAZY temper, and if you continue interrupting his research… well, I don’t want to be in your shoes!” Zidane was an actor and a thief; which made him an excellent liar. Vivi was uncomfortable with the charade, but then, only he could do anything that might pass as alchemy. (Sora could as well, but Vivi did not know that) “… Y-Yeah! Don’t interrupt my research!” Vivi added. [Amestris Town] Garnet was horrified to see the Red Rose above them, and even more terrified when Didymus mentioned something that scared her to the bone. "Dagger..." he said. "...I don't know how they've found us, but we need to hide. If you think they're tracking you somehow, tell me, otherwise, grab your pack and let's go!" “I… Oh my… No… they wouldn’t…” Garnet suddenly felt horrible. “I… My Summons… she might have found a way to track them…. I don’t know, it is possible that she found some spell to track them…” She shook her head. “I’m sorry… I… I’m sorry…” Then, the Waltz landed on either side of them. They did seem to know exactly where they were. “Princess, come with us…” Black Waltz No. 2 hissed. “You, too…” Black Waltz No. 3 shrieked at Didymus. Waltz No. 2 waved his hand and a magical beam shot out, wrapping around Garnet like a rope. She yelled out, but was lifted off the ground; and with her hands at her side, she could not use her magic. Waltz No. 3 pulled out an ACTUAL rope and threw it towards Didymus like a lasso. If it caught him, it would do as No. 2 was doing and fly him towards the Red Rose… |
