Fear The Halberd! Fear it!

Alexandria City "Greatest apologies, but I have a bit of a mess to handle. Now if I may..." He ran forward, and leaped into the air, his Pata below him. When he landed, he sprinted forward in pursuit of the thief... |

Central City Tavern The bartender shivered at the sudden soaking, but looked back up even angrier. "Alright. That does it. YOU TWO-" he pointed at Crystal and Sama-"pay up for the beer and get OUT of my bar, or I'm calling the troops!" he said. Alexandria City The guards continued after Sam and his quarry, with some more joining in as they approached... |

Fear The Halberd! Fear it!

Alexandria City "Crud...I never thought I'd have to use this...my ultimate technique with the Pata...Here goes!" Sam thought, and he raised his Pata into the air while running. He accelerated his speed, tightly holding onto the Pata... He stopped suddenly, shifting his momentum to the Pata in his hand, and throwing the Pata to the third thief. "PATA THROW!" He then began to run after his weapon: if they stole it...aw, boy. (And yes...that 'ultimate technique' was supposed to be for humor...and sarcasm.) |

-Alexandria City- “Please, excuse my companions,” Xehanort said, hobbling up to the female guards, bowing lowly, playing the part, “They are young, and headstrong. They wish to aid me in retrieving a stolen item, and overheard these thieves attempting to steal it away first.” Meanwhile, Cess discreetly waved his wand. From beneath Shimera, a clay golem appeared, carrying the Star Maiden. “’’Ello ladies,” the white skinned necromancer grinned to the guards as he raced pass them, not hindered by armor, “Excuse me, but I really should help my friend.” -Alexandria Castle Grounds- “Yah…Before something worse happens…” Sora nodded, helping Kairi into the carriage, then making sure everyone else was in before they set off. He had no idea someone was after him… -Central City: Tavern- “The enemy of my enemy is my ally…” Galv, with his leather armor back on, and sword strapped to his back, stood up, earning no attention. He was a little over five feet tall. Even with his red hair, the attention on the Benders was the say all point here. “Excuse me,” Galv said quietly, making his way to the Bar Tender. He pulled out a small bag of coins, and handed them to the owner, “This should cover everything.” He turned to Sama and Crystal, glancing back to the bar tender, “I apologize for my friend’s disturbances. He can’t hold his liquor sometimes.” Galv stepped to Sama and Crystal, speaking quietly at them so no one else would hear him. “I know what they are too,” Galv hissed, “I’ll back you here if you start a fight, but now is neither the time, nor place…” |

Alexandria City Some guards continued to chase Sam and the thief, but when Cess started "carrying" Shimera, some ran after him! "HEY!" one called. "YOU'RE DESTROYING A STREET!" she shouted angrily. The guard(s) Xehanort was speaking to stared after his "friends", blinking, then stared at him. "An elf?" one of them said. "Um, sure...but maybe you should talk them down..." she trailed off. Another guard remarked about how unusual it was to see an elf so far from Hyrule... Central City:Tavern The bartender took the bag with a grunt. "It covers it..." he said. "...but I still want those benders out of my establishment!" he demanded. |

Alexandria City The thieves passed right by the carriage, not even noticing it. But the one in the lead stopped. Meanwhile, the third in the back conveniently tripped over a rock as Sam's weapon flew right over his head, and performed a somersault before returning to his feet. "Guys, this is getting to close for comfort." The first said, wearily. "I know...let's get out of here." The second replied. "Alright, time for that technique I taught you. Into the forest!" The first shouted. All three leapt into the air at an incredible height, all of them throwing smoke bombs onto the ground. The area clouded with smoke so dense, it would be impossible to see them. They dashed into the forest, their homeland, and hid in the dense foliage. |

Alexandria City "...Great..." Sam gasped for air, and looked around. "...Now...where did my Pata go..." He began to search around the place, hoping he hadn't lost it in such a reckless manuver... |

Central City:Tavern Crystal looked at the teen boy with a confused expression on her face...She wondered if Sama knew who he was. He didn't look much older than thirteen or so, a strange sight to see in a tavern such as this. Along with this he was small, especially compared to everyone else in the tavern--even herself. He couldn't be more than 5 feet tall. But he sure knew how to talk, soon enough the bartender was off their case....Sorta. "...but I still want those benders out of my establishment!" She STILL didn't like this bartender, but she didn't speak. Instead she watched to see what Sama would do. After all he seemed to want to find something about the two strangers, and he wasn't really one to back down. |

Central City Tavern Sama hesitated. A lot was happening, and none of it according to plan. The strangers were playing innocent and unfortunately, they looked it. The fat one had the zoned-out expression of a child, and there was hardly a man in the tavern who wouldn't take the mysterious woman's word over Sama's. Growling a bit, he decided that he had to take the out. It disturbed him down to his very core to just walk away from the odd creatures who masqueraded as humans, but he had no other choice. If the bartender called the Military... Besides, the bar was crowded mostly with ordinary people. Even if some of them, like the bartender, were stupid enough to believe Bradley's propaganda about the Benders and others; they were still just ordinary people. What kind of Avatar would he be if he went around beating up people? "Didn't mean to cause trouble!" Sama lied to the bartender, before turning to Crystal and Galv (whom he had yet to formally meet). He lowered his voice; "Let's just go... If that idiot calls the troops, people could get killed..." Resembool Winry shared her grandmother's disdain for the military, but it did not change her mind one bit. "I'm sorry, Gran... I have to go find Ed and Al!" She shook her head. She could not quite explain why, but... that man had unsettled her. Turning to Eva, she gave a soft smile. "Thank you... Please, as soon as you're ready, I'd like to go." Seaside Town Yuna gave a little sigh and looked over to Rikku. She was starting to think this had been a huge mistake. She had abandoned her post at the Yevon Temple and stowed away on a ship to get to the mainland... and now she was stuck here, with no further clues on finding the odd castle. "I see... thank you, anyway." Yuna, always one to be polite, sighed again. Alexandria Castle Grounds Zidane sighed in a relieved way and then patted Steiner on the back. "Way to go, Rusty! You took her out! Man, I didn't think you'd be so useful!" The young monkey-tailed thief gave a grin and jumped into the carriage. Vivi walked over and left a potion next to the unconscious Beatrix. He assumed she'd have a headache when she woke up. Then, he quickly jumped into the carriage as well. "Well, let's go!" Zidane called to everyone who was coming. Paladin Enclave Agrias was indeed tripped by Didymus' shin, but as she fell she used her free hand to propelled herself back up, and she span and blocked his sword with her own! Jumped a couple of feet back from him, the young Paladin fixated on her target and waited for him to make his next move. |

Central City Tavern "Fine. Just go." the bartender said. As Gluttony continued to eat the beer-ice, Lust fought back a grin. Seaside Town "A castle with a big crystal?" a voice asked. It was a villager. A fisher, by the looks of it. However, not only was he responsive to them, but he did NOT have one of the strange, misplaced mushroom hats. "You must be referring to Alexandria Castle!" he said. "That's a bit of a ways from here! I used to live there, but that life was to busy! If you're lookin' for it, though, just take the road that goes east...it's a bit of a trip, but you'll see it eventually. Or you could find an airship station or something around in a city nearer to this side of the country...speaking of which, you're not from around, are ya?" he asked. "I saw your boat come in, and I know where it's from!" He did a slight bow to them. "Welcome to Alexandria! Yep...the Cluster (referring to the Spiran Cluster) and Alexandria have been trading partners for QUITE a while...that's probably why we've got the same currency, gil!" he said. Of course, he did not know that Isaac and Mia were not Spirans. "If you're going to the capital, Alexandria City, which contains that castle,", he continued."...you may want to be careful. The trip is probably going to be dangerous...I've heard that some strange mist-stuff has been appearing around in numerous places around the country...and that the beasts are getting more aggressive. And even worse..." he sighed, troubled by what he was about to say. "...the queen's been acting...strange. I don't know how welcoming she'll be to visitors. That, and the fact that Galdwin and Amestris just went to war with each other, and the way the queen's been acting, we'll not only get involved, but we'll betray Galdwin." The fisher shook his head. "Sorry to prattle." he said. "But yeah...I'm afraid you may have picked a bad time to visit the mainland..." He sighed. (Hooray for NPCs that do little but provide exposition! :heh:) Paladin Enclave Didymus stood there for a moment, simply regarding Agrias, thinking, preparing to parry...but after a small amount of waiting, it seemed that she intended to let him make the next move. Although somewhat hesitant, when he thought about it, to attack her (again, due to her greater experience and such), he decided to. It was a bit of a longshot, but he charged forward, intending to bring his sword down in a diagonal strike (side first as opposed to edge or point, of course) with a strike that he hoped that Agrias would parry...and then, possibly, their blades would cross, and, well, he was actually trying a rather simple tactic: he was hoping to hit Agrias's sword hard enough to knock it from her hand. Alexandria Castle grounds As the carriage sped off, Steiner still looked downcast. In fact, not even Zidane's comment seemed to enrage him, rather make him feel more depressed. Finally, he looked ahead with somberly. "Where do we go from here? Straight into Amestis?" he asked. "It is a bit of a journey." he said. |

Central City Tavern Rose nodded and made her way to the door, still upset over the bartender's words. Once they were out of the building she sighed loudly and looking back at the door. She still seemed upset, and for good reason. "The nerve of that guy! Ugh what a horrible jerk!" She exclaimed "No one should be able to talk about the tribes like that..." she sighed again. Resembool "Of course, we can go now if you want!" Eva gave a grin and nodded, only pausing upon realizing the names Winry had said. "Wait, Ed and Al..." She, like many others, had heard those names together. "Like the State Alchemist Edward? And his brother?" |

Central City Streets (Outside Tavern) Sama fought back a cold shiver. Those two strangers were still on his mind, and he wondered if he had made the right choice in standing down. Whatever they were, they were dangerous. He could feel the evil in them... and he could sense no humanity. His thoughts were interrupted, however, when Crystal spoke. He paused and nodded his head. The nation of Amestris had crushed the bending tribes and scattered the Benders all across the world. Fuhrer Bradley had convinced his people that the Benders were dangerous, evil and inhuman. "He's caught up believing the propaganda that Bradley spewed out when they invaded our land," Sama sighed, putting a hand on her shoulder. "And I didn't help matters, causing so much trouble..." Alexandria Castle grounds Zidane shrugged his shoulders and grinned to the Captain. "Do we have any other choice, Rusty? That book is our only clue to finding your princess. It'll take a while and be dangerous... but we gotta do what we've gotta do." Vivi was quiet. He was worried about this entire situation... still, he was going to follow along. Resembool Winry blinked. She had never quite gotten used to the fact that Ed and Al were famous throughout the land now. "Oh, yeah, that's them." Winry said with a little smile. "They're the one's we're going to find... at least I hope we'll be able to get in touch with them." Paladin Enclave Agrias saw him charge and narrowed her eyes. She jumped forward to meet him, and tried to catch his sword with her free hand. She wore heavy gauntlets, after all, and wanted to deflect his blade with the palm of her hand while simultaneously trying to bash him on the side with the edge of her own blade. Seaside Town Yuna listened intently, and as the fisher explained all about the Crystal Castle in Alexandria it reminded her of the place from her dream. Turning to Rikku, she paused. "... I think that might be the place." |

Alexandria (away from castle) Steiner shook his head. "Very well. So, are we going to find an inn to rest in for the evening, or are we all sleeping in here?" he asked. Alexandria-seaside town The fisher looked intrigued, but didn't press. "You're going there, hmm?" he asked. "Well, another word of warning as to how unstable things are about now-our dear Princess Garnet has gone missing. Not long ago, she was just missing. Don't know if she was kidnapped, or if she left, or where she is-so again, be careful, they may not be in the mood for visitors at the castle...and I know it's not my busniess, but can I ask what you're doin' here in our country? Especially if you didn't know that much about the place?" he said. Paladin Enclave Didymus felt a surge of panic when Agrias caught his sword, and suddenly was hit on the side with hers...it hurt, and it disoriented him a bit, but nonetheless, he tried to swerve, still holding his sword, to Agrias's side, the one she was holding his sword on. Once there, he tried, if there was an opening, to bring his own free hand up and deliver a solid punch to Agrias! At the same time, he tried to use one of his leg to sweep her legs and trip her up again! Of course, again, being hit by her sword had somewhat disoriented him, and performing two moves quickly and efficiently would be difficult against Agrias even without that... Resembool Pinako sighed. "Fine. If there's no convincing you two otherwise..." she said. "...but it'll be dark soon. Perhaps you two should get a good night's rest before you set out." she suggested. |

Seaside Town Mia and Issac were both particularly silent. Until he mentioned Alexandria Castle. "Mind if...we come? We lost our companions and we were hoping to find them. I think we'll find them if we travel with you." Mia said, smiling. Issac gave a nod to the two they met just a bit ago. Amestries After receiving no answer from Garret, the mage shrugged. "Silent? That's fine. But come now, you can't expect me to let you just stand there and starve!" Nihlus said to Garret. Alexandria City Behind the forest, the trio managed to keep an eye on Xehanort. "Shoot. Time for a new plan." The second whispered. "This one's impossible to mess up. We'll just wait for him to get the key. Then we swipe it! Or we'll wait for him to lure the guardian out. Then after they battle, we'll take it!" The first replied. The three shared a laugh. They were just a little overconfident... |

-Central City: Outside the Tavern- “Those…things,” Galv said, staying with Sama and Crystal, “Are not human. They are something…wrong.” He paused, “My name is Galv. Simply…Galv.” He didn’t let on that he was also a Paladin of Galdwin. “You are Avatar Sama,” he said simply to Sama, “Your energy. I can feel it, and you…” He looked to Crystal, “I do not know your name, but you are a Bender as well.” -Central City: Streets- Garet looked up to Nihlus, a wide grin on his face. He didn’t seem put off by the guy’s cloak. Though, something nagged him in the back of his mind… “Really? Wow, thanks!” Garet grinned, “I’d love some food!” -Alexandria City- “What?” Cess paused, glancing back to the road, then paused, “Sorry! Errr…give me a second.” He discreetly waved his wand again, the earth repairing itself… -Road Out of Alexandria- “Well, how quickly do we want to get to Amestries?” Sora wondered, “If we want to get there soon, we should sleep in the carriage…Though make sure we have someone keeping guard, in shifts.” |
