Fear The Halberd! Fear it!

Treno Cafe Sam then proceeded to grab his blade with his left hand, pushing against the Chakrams. This was going to be a weapon struggle...he looked more powerful, but Sam didn't really have to fight fair. Not in a situation like this. He pushed against the chakrams with all his strength, hoping to overpower Axel... |

Bending Valley Cave When they were a safe distance away Crystal let out a little sigh, falling back on Appa's fur and staring up at the sky....It was rather pretty, as the sky was pink and orange for the evening. She looked to Hammah from her spot "You okay?" she asked Woods Melanie just wanted to jump out of the wagon and run away, but that was definately not an option. Her mother would murder her...And in turn Galv too. But she reeeeaaalllyyy didn't want to get married to some guy...Even though she knew it was eventually going to happen. "Does Jason know about this?" Melanie suddenly asked. Kanna turned, glaring at the small girl. "He doesn't need to" |

[The Skies] Sama was sitting on Appa's neck, still out of it. His head felt like he was underwater, and his body felt cold. He shivered a bit and hugged the fluffy bison for warmth. “... Well... that was...” He didn't even know how to finish that. [The Wagon] Rica suddenly walked over to the group, and handed them all cups of tea. Then he went and sat down on the other side of Kanna from where Ethan sat. He sipped his own tea in silence. “We're not that far from your home... we should get back in a couple of hours...” Of course, not three seconds passed after he stated this, then the wagon was hit! A flaming arrow struck the wheel and it burst into flames! “Come out of there, and hand over all your gold, or you're dead!” A bandit called. There were several bandits. Most of them wore helmets and carried swords, but one of them was wearing a hood that covered his face. [Treno (The Cafe)] Mashira groaned and slowly stood up onto his hind legs, clutching his one bloody stump where an ear had been. “YOU! Girl... this isn't done! I'm not leaving until you are DEAD!” He roared, and charged at Kxs. He didn't care about Roxas, Sam or the fire... he wanted revenge. [The Highwind] Many of the people from Treno had boarded the highwind, but by now the Treno guards were shooting at it. “... We can't wait for them...” Cid frowned. The Highwind took off, leaving Chloe and Allen behind to fight Nightmare and the Akuma... |

-Woods- Ethan sighed, standing up and heading outside the wagon, as it was hit, and the bandits demanded money. “I'm going to give you once chance,” Ethan said, not bothered by the arrows and swords and miscellaneous weapons the bandits carried, “If you don't take it, then I am not responsible for my actions.” Ethan was not wearing armor, and for all intensive purposes, looked like a somewhat short man who needed a little shaving. He cracked his knuckles, looking pissed. Galv, meanwhile, looked over to Melanie. Maybe they could escape in the confusion... -Treno- Cafe “Heh heh heh...” Axel grinned, as Sam struggled. Suddenly, the ground under Sam began to grow hotter, threatening to burst with flames! Alleyway “Shimera, it's okay,” Cess said, moving towards the Star Maiden, pulling her into another hug, “It's okay...I won't let them hurt you...” Weatherwax raised an eyebrow at the two, but merely shrugged. “Show me where they are. Perhaps I can help,” Weatherwax said. -The Highwind- Sora frowned, not wanting to leave a comrade in danger. “Maybe I should go back, and help...” he muttered. He looked to Kairi. He didn't want to get separated from her either, though, nor drag her into that fight. |

Woods The wagon skid to a stop, the wheels on fire and bandits in front of them. Most women would be afraid....Kanna was just kind of pissed. "Oh for the love of- I just want to get back home!" The woman walked out of the wagon, popping open her black parasol to avoid the aunlight (even though it wasn't as bright as before). She glared at the men but knew she wouldn't need to get involved.. That's what the boy's were for.... Meanwhile Melanie was a bit more afraid....These men looked dangerous. She stood back a bit, looking nervous and staying totally quiet. The Skies Crystal looked over to Sama "Are you okay too?" she asked, frowning... Great...So there was definately an evil son of a- walking around with the Avatar's face....Yay. |

[Woods] The bandits saw a short man step out of the wagon and threaten them with his bare hands. They all started laughing like idiots, a few of them throwing their heads back, and one even fell on the ground and rolled around. All of the nameless bandits were laughing out of arrogance. The one in the hood, however, took a step back and swore beneath his cloak. “What the hell is HE doing here?” On the plus side, he knew Ethan could kill the bandits, which would solve one of his problems... on the other hand, if Ethan was here then maybe... “... Oh no... No no no no...” Then, as Kanna stepped out, the hooded bandit suddenly slapped his own forehead. “Oh for the love of... she's here too?” Rica exited the wagon behind Kanna and he looked at the bandits, ready to fight if he needed too. [The Skies] Sama sat up and nodded a bit, trying to ignore how cold he felt. “I'm okay... I'm just... sleepy... and confused... mostly confused. What the heck happened anyway? Geez... I wish we could find Ansem, he'd have some idea...” |

-Woods- Ethan sighed, then moved. The bandit on the ground was suddenly picked up rather easily by Ethan, who threw him into another. Ethan then charged forward, slamming his palm into a third, sending them crashing into the tree. A fourth soon fell after being kicked in the side. Ethan had not been using his full strength either. Blood was so hard to get out of clothes, and having grown up with Kanna, that was something he knew. “I'm sorry,” Ethan said, looking at the remaining bandits, “What was so funny? I think I might have missed it, when I was kicking your asses.” Galv, meanwhile, took the advantage of Kanna no longer being in the wagon to sit by Melanie. “Don't worry...I'll protect you...” Galv said, “And maybe we can escape, in the confusion.” “No...” Walter said, staring back at them, scaring Galv, “If she leaves, we won't get paid...Even though I'm not actually getting any money...” -Appa- Hammah moved over to Crystal, burying his face in her side, simply looking worried. “...Okay...When are we landing?” Spork wondered, more concerned with finding a way to hold on, then anything else at the moment, unaware he seemed to be channeling an Earth bending ancestor of his. Flying didn't seem to suit him... |

I'll bite your legs off!

The Highwind Soon, the vessel had lifted off and set off-it was too late, it seemed, to turn back. Didymus looked back, head bowed and hand outstretched for a bit, before looking ahead. "We're leaving Treno's "night..." he said...the sunset is beautiful at this altitude, hmm?" Indeed, the view over the Alexandrian countryside as the sun set was...impressive, to say the least. Steiner came in, still carrying Garnet. "We must...the princess..." Didymus shook his head. "Find someplace to lay her." Indeed, quickly, Steiner found a bed inside, and set Garnet down on it. Didymus knelt beside her, placed his hands on her head, his own bowed, clearly praying again. He looked up, eventually, and got up. "Well, that's done. I suppose...I shall remain here. He looked out the window. "At least there's a nice view." Steiner nodded. "I must give the captain my thanks...even if he did bombard the city, at least the princess is safe...for now. I take it she will remain safe in your care." he said, and was off to the bridge. Didymus sat there, looking at Garnet. "She yet breathes..." he said. "...at least we have that." he said, sitting down next to the bed, his eyes going from the sunset and landscape at the window to Garnet and back. Much was on his mind; but for now, at least, he could relax a bit. Outside, Rikku was ecstatic. "Awesome!" she yelled. "I love these things! OH! I gotta go to the bridge! Or the engine room! Yeah, that's it! The engine room! You coming, Yunie?" She was clearly excited. |

Woods Ethan started to beat up the bandits left and right, leaving Kanna to watch with a bored expression on her face....She was especially watching the hooded one...Something about him. Suddenly something clicked and Kanna narrowed her eyes. "Oh HELL no" Kanna exclaimed loudly, stomping over to the hooded figure, standing on her tip toes, and yanking the hood right off of his head....This would have been a bold (and suicidal) move if she hadn't recognized a pair of bright blue eyes from the shadows of the hood. "What the hell!? YOU BURNED THE WHEEL OF THE WAGON YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING" Melanie instantly looked up to see the uncloaked Jason...She gave a horribly loud squeal of delight. "JAAAASSSSSSON!" The girl launched herself at her older brother, hugging him tightly. Appa Crystal hugged Hammah tightly, letting the boy rest on her lap. "Maybe you should rest Sama...That must have taken it out of you..." |

[Woods] Cheap disguise = 0 Motherly instincts = 1 Kanna has motherly instincts? Apparently she does, because very quickly she managed to pick out the one bandit who wasn't attacking them. His hood came off, and of course, it was Jason. “I didn't burn the wheel, that was Frank!” Jason protested, yelling back at his mother. He would have crossed his arms, but suddenly Melanie was hugging him. “Melanie, cut it out... MELANIE!? WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN!?” Jason went from child being scolded, to the person doing the scolding. “... Huh. She's got more kids?” Rica shrugged his shoulders. He was currently drowning one of the bandits. It was Frank. [Appa] Sama nodded a bit, and laid back down on Appa's back. “I guess...” He paused, looking at the skies all around them. “... Hey I just realized something... where should we go?” [The Highwind] Cid was in the bridge, chain-smoking. Yuna gave a small frown and shook her head to Rikku. “No... I think I will check on Garnet.” She soon entered the room where Garnet was unconscious and Didymus was praying. She waited for him to finish before she walked over and placed a hand on Garnet's head. A soft light shone and she began to use Curaga on Garnet. “... It's been a long time.” Yuna acknowledged without looking at him. “... I'm sure you'd object to my casting, but I doubt she would.” |

The Highwind Bridge Steiner slowly made his way to the bridge, and looked around on it. "Sir..." he said to the chain-smoking pilot. "...I am not sure I can agree with everything you did back there...however..." He looked straight at him. "...the princess has been protected, and we escaped Treno safely, relatively so, at least. For that, I thank you." he said. Bedroom Didymus looked on and listened as Yuna cast. "Indeed, I'm confident she wouldn't...and yes, I do. But we're still in Alexandria, so I shan't stop you, even if I warn against it. Hopefully, neither my invocation nor your incantation was necessary in healing Garnet here, that she's alright anyway...I suppose all I can do is be here for her and pray now..." He sighed, watching Yuna. "It HAS been a while, hasn't it? You know, if you like...we've got some time. If you like, perhaps...perhaps now's a good time to catch up. I mean, did you want to, or..." He chuckled a bit. "This is...a tad awkward, isn't it? At least, I am, aren't I?" He chuckled some more, shaking his head, and his gaze returned to the window. "Beautiful view, huh?" |

The Highwind A l9ot of things happened very quickly. Lavi and Bookman aided Sora in getting all of the people on board of the ship, both fighting off the demons that assaulted them, destroying the Akuma that were remaining after the bombardment. However, Lavi began to cough at one point, clearly having inhaled some of that venom, and Bookman quickly got around to healing the boy. And befotre either of them could object to remaining behind, Allen took the fight away from the ship, still clashed with Nightmare as the Highwind lifted off. Lavi tried to get up, but only continued through a fit of coughing as Bookman feverishly started chanting spell after spell, the white magic quickly counteracting the virus. It was only high up in the air that the old man finally breathed easy as Lavi's condition stabilized and the boy fell asleep. "This has been too much... The Noah, the Akuma... And whatever that was. Allen, may the Lord keep you safe." And sending this silent prayer, Bookman finally stepped out of the room in which he hurriedly performed the operation and finally started to explore the ship. In minutes, he ended up on the bridge, and headed right for the captain. "Thank you for your quick arrival and departure. I dare not think what would have happened if we stuck around for too long." The old man was conflicted, however. He might have been thanking the captain for his decision, but Allen remained behind. And the boy wasn't looking too well last time Bookman saw him in battle. He just hoped the boy was alright... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Treno However, Bookman was wrong. Allen was anything BUT alright. From the very first clash and assault, Allen matched claw to blade against Nightmare, his eye's monocle spinning wildly as the darkness within that creature made him dry-heave and his eyes sting. What he saw was no longer anything but darkness, a twisting mass of what once could be called a soul nothing but a black tar-like substance. He didn't know how to fight something like that. All this time, he could save every single Akuma he destroyed because their spirits, at their base, weren't too corrupted. But this... This was so beyond him that he wanted to cry in frustration. And so, he felt the NEED to destroy this creature. To save whoever was so twisted. This drove him to fight like mad, switching between beam sword, claw and beam cannon almost at will, always trying to keep up. However, Nightmare was powerful... And TOO dark. The Innocence within Allen's arm, the very thing that was immune to Darkness and virtually indestructible to any dark source, was being slashed up by Nightmare's sword. Every strike created a new, painful gash on the claw, and lowered his abilities. And as more strikes landed, so did Allen begin to slow, looking pale. But he fought like a being possessed. He defended and assaulted with a ferocity that rarely showed through his usual, kind manners. |

-Woods- Galv quickly followed after Melanie, feeling happy to see Jason too. It wasn't because he was, but because Melanie was. “Ummm...hello...” he said to Jason. He was still looking for an opportunity to escape... Ethan glanced to Rica, tossing another bandit to the side. “Yah, she has two kids,” Ethan told him, then looked to Kanna. He hoped that someday, she'd have a third. With him, of course. This is Ethan we're talking about. It probably didn't help that he had been in love with her since he was young... -The Highwind- Sora sighed, feeling useless right now. He paced, trying to find something to do. Rincewind, meanwhile, was also at the bridge. His reasoning was that if something went wrong, he could find out first here, and plan accordingly. |

Treno Cafe "Hm?" KxS looked at Mashira as he threatened to kill her, then saw him run toward her. She snorted and ran toward him as well, hoping to make a counter-attack. Alleyway Shimera found herself being hugged once more. Not caring that ole' Weatherwax was watching, she hugged him as well. "They're at the cafe...I hope KxS is alright," the Star-Maiden told the witch as the hug ended. |

Treno Cafe "Roxas!" Sam gestured as he began to struggle a little...he felt the ground below him heat up, but stayed in his position. Roxas would probably have a clear shot at Axel...wait! He had TWO chakrams...Sam looked at the chakrams, then backed up, rushed forward to try and clash with the chakrams again...or so it seemed. |
