Central City Tavern The figure grinned a bit as she locked eyes with Crystal, then she spoke to the hunched, more stocky figure next to her. "Hang on." she said. "I want to admire some of his protege's handiwork..." she trailed off, walking up to the rock "chair" that Sama had bended earlier, her companion in tow. He was of a different mindset, and quickly revealed it. "Can I eat it?" he asked. Lust (if you hadn't guessed by now) shook her head. "No, not in front of all these people..." she said. "But I'm so hungry..." he insisted. "You always are..." she whispered. "Can I help you two?" the bartender quickly said to her, getting irritated by the prospect of loiterers. Thinking for a moment, and glancing again at the benders, Lust nodded, and spoke. "I'll have some of your finest wine..." she said with a grin. "Coming right up." the tender said, turning round to fill the order. Lust, meanwhile, sat in the bended rock chair (it was empty, right?), occasionally glancing at Sama and Crystal, and, to a lesser extent, Galv. Resembool Pinako (I think that's how it's spelled) nodded, and grinned. "That's Winry. Good to know that a complete stranger, even, is satisfied with her work. I'm Pinako Rockbell, her grandmother. But I've never seen you before, and at my age one knows all the residents of the town, so...what brings you all the way out here to Resembool?" she asked. |

Central City-Amestries Nihlus walked along side of the street, looking down the side of shops lining the left side. The tavern was behind him now, not far away. Kids laughed and played, and adults went along with their purchases. There were some business like figures, and more thuggish people. Yes, Central City was bustling with activity, especially after claiming war on Galdwin. People chattered about the war, how it would effect the economy (is there one?), who would join...Nihlus wanted no involvement in the war. Wars were nothing important to him. He trudged down the street before stopping in front of a store offering exotic foods... Seaside town The duo adepts made their way through the town, which was generally crowded with people all around. The fish mongers were busy as ever and the sailors were preparing their ships for another trip... The two had no interest in the town and simply hoped to find the other adepts. (Thousand dollars to anyone that guesses where Seaside Town comes from.) |

Central City Tavern Bitter taste still left in her mouth and no suitable drink left on the table (not to mention curiosity about the strange woman and her companion) Crystal stood from her seat and spoke "Be right back, gotta get some water or something to get this taste outta my mouth" With that she walked over to the other end of the bar-- a ways from the strange duo-- and offered a smile to a attendant. "Just a plain water would be great!" She grinned widely as the man gave a nod and went to retrieve the drink and Crystal looked quickly over to Lust's direction. Weird. Resembool "It's very nice to meet you" Eva said looking at the old woman. Like she had heard of Winry's talent for mechanics she had also heard some about her grandmother from people as she traveled. The small family may have not been extremely well known but to the people who did know them they were saving graces. Eva motioned to her scooter "My bike was acting up and I heard Winry was a pro from some people not too far away. I thought I would come by and see if she could quiet it down a bit, and boy did she!" |

Central City Tavern Lust was eyed Crystal as well, sipping her wine and brooding as Gluttony sniffed and whimpered from time to time. Ansem's gone...but his companions...element benders...perhaps THEY should be the real targets...but just what are they up to? There WERE whispers that Ansem wanted to remove Wrath before the plan's final phase began... she thought. Gluttony (I'll just say that for him, too, I'm tired of referring to them as "figures" XD), with a whine, spoke. "So much food...and so many people...Lust, the girl's looking this way...please, can I eat her? Pleeease?" he begged, looking Crystal's way. Lust simply shook her head. "For the last time, not when there are so many people around! Or would you rather draw attention...against our master's will?" she asked. Gluttony looked scared for a moment, then shook his head with another whimper. Again, Lust would occasionally shoot a glance Crystal's way. Resembool Pinako nodded and spoke. "Yep. Winry's good, no doubts there. Taught her myself, and she's truly in love with machines. Makes me wonder if she wouldn't have preferred living in Galdwin. Automail isn't there, not very much, if any at all, but I've heard their airships are a sight to see!" she said. |

. Seaside Town Looking around, Rikku saw all that was going on, and also noticed a couple of people who didn't quite look like they fit in. "Right-o!" Rikku jumped in response to Yuna. "Why don't we talk to those people over there?" she then asked, pointing at the Adepts, "They're the only other people around here without weird little mushroom hats, so maybe they're here for the same reason we are!" At times, Rikku's logic was infallable... This likely was not one of those times, but at least it'd get the two somewhere beyond searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack. |

Central City Tavern Crystal couldn't take it much longer, the woman's look--as well as the ones from her "friend"--were freaking her out. As soon as the bartender came back with a tall glass of water she took it with thanks and rushed back to her table. She had no real reason to be suspicious of those two but something about them just didn't seem right. "Taverns are full of the strangest people" Rose decided, taking a long drink from the glass. The water here tasted like metal, probably from the lack of use the pipes got. She ignored it and set the glass down. Resembool "They are..." Eva said quietly with a smile, referring to the airships that blazed through the sky in Galdwin. Truth be told Eva was big on traveling, most of her life she spent going around, mostly on her scooter, and seeing the nations and sights....The airships, a mechanical marvel were one of her favorites. |

(Shoot. Phazon get's it.) Seaside Town Yes, the residents here were nothing short of weird. The adepts made there way through silently. No one questioned them, convinced they were travelers. The air smelled of salt, brine, and fish. They stopped in front of a small stand. It was selling some preserved fish. "Well, we'll need some rations. We're running out of what we have. Hold on..." Mia told Issac. Issac turned around and his eyes met with the another odd pair. One was pointing at them... "Mia..." Issac mumbled quietly. "Hush, I'm trying to bargain with this man." She replied. Issac sighed as he turned around. He began to watch this pair. Were they going to try something? Or maybe they wanted something. There's no better way to find out than wait. (Yeah, Issac is normally the silent protagonist. But I decided I'll give him dialogue every now and again.) |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Alexandria- “Princess whowhatsnow?” Cess wondered, scratching the back of his head, “Sorry, never even heard of her.” “I apologize,” Xehanort told the man, “We are but travelers, looking for a stolen good of mine.” He paused, then inquired further, “Have you seen a young boy with brown, spiky hair, and blue eyes? He would be dressed in odd, black clothing, most likely accompanied by a girl with red hair.” -Central City: Tavern- As the two figures came in, Galv clenched his cup tightly. Thanks to his…ability, he could ‘see’ the electro-magnetic fields of people. Sama’s, for example, was a bit of beacon to him, from all the energy the Avatar had. But, these two figures…Something was horribly wrong with them. It seemed dark, twisted. It wasn’t right. He hadn’t encountered it before, but now he knew he needed to keep an eye on these two. He wanted to strike now, when he might have the element of surprise…But that would give him away. -Central City: Streets- Also outside the store of exotic foods was a large, spikey haired young man, Garet. He paid no attention to Nihlus, instead staring through the glass, drooling at the food offered. His stomach growled loudly…He was younger. With a sigh, Garet pulled out a bag, and looked through his coins. He wondered if they’d take his money… |

The Crazy One

Central City Tavern For a while now, the young bender Sama had been quiet. There was a reason for that. The moment the strangers entered the tavern, he had gotten a fierce chill down his back. The young Avatar had traveled the world, well beyond the Mainland, and had once spent several days in the arctic circle. He had been warmer then, than he was now. He was watching the strangers with intense eyes, seemingly paying attention to nothing else. Those two... the woman and her large companion... they troubled him deeply. Why? As Avatar, he felt a connection to every living thing on the planet. People, animals, plants... Everything natural, he was connected to. He felt no connection to them. He knew what he had to do. Quickly, he moved to Crystal's side and leaned in to her ear so no one else would hear: "Just a head's up; it's about to get loud in here." It was his way of warning her that he knew trouble was coming, and he was going to speed things up. If there had to be problems, he'd rather they happen when he was ready. Stepping away from her, he suddenly started laughing very loudly and obnoxiously. He put a goofy look on his face (moreso than usual) and started staggering around. To anyone who didn't know better, he'd look like a typical drunk -- not an uncommon sight in a tavern. "WELL I'll be a dragon's cousin's uncle!" Sama said loudly, putting on a fake voice as well. "If it ain't Billy Bob, I haven't seen you in years!" He had staggered over and thrown an arm around Gluttony's neck, and was now poking him in his rather bulbous nose. "How y'all doing there, buddy?" He spoke loudly... practically screaming every word. He wanted to draw a lot of attention, because he wanted people to be able to escape. "You know what's funny? D-Do you know? What's funny?" Sama, still acting drunk, leaned close to Gluttony's ear and spoke softer. "You're an artificial life form." He moved his head away from Gluttony and gave him a large grin. He wasn't sure what kind of reaction to expect from the two. Seaside Town Yuna looked over in the direction that Rikku pointed. It was true, the Adepts were the only people in town who seemed to look anything like them. They were also the only people who seemed... to be paying attention. Everyone else, it was like they were in a trance. "... Something isn't right," Yuna shook her head. "Let's go talk to those people..." She hurried towards the Adepts. "Please, wait!" Resembool Winry (for the sake of explaining her silence) had ducked into another room to wash the grease from her hands and change clothes. When she reappeared, she hurried over to her granny and her new friend. "Hey Grandma! I guess you've met Eva already!" Winry smiled broadly. Having heard the conversation about airships, Winry stared off into space a bit. "One day... I'm going to build an airship!" Suddenly, the door upstairs opened and there was a sound of heavy footsteps. It was not unusual for people to barge into the little yellow workshop. Aside from Winry being the best mechanic in town, she also worked as one of the few doctor's in town. The man who appeared at the staircase, though, did not look ill. He wore a very heavy brown cloak and hood that hid his face. Only a bushy blond beard and a few locks of long hair could be seen. "... I apologize for intruding," The man grunted. "I am looking for the family who used to live next door." He seemed to be talking to Pinako. Winry gasped a bit... the next door family were the Elrics. Paladin Enclave Cid stood and grinned, there was a mixture of excitement and madness in his eyes. "This exercise, young brother, is a test. I believe you will be pushed beyond your limits on this quest, and so we must prepare you for such a event! You shall spar with sister Oaks!" He crossed his arms. "The rules are simple! You may not leave the cobblestone square in front of the Chapel! If you step beyond the square, you will lose. You are to disarm your enemy! If your lose your sword, but it falls within the square, you may reclaim it within ten seconds and the battle shall continue... if you fail to reclaim it, or if it falls out of bounds, then you have lost." Cid paused briefly to flash a grin, and then finished his remarks. "You may use any way you like to disarm your enemy, but I must forbid using any attacks that would cause lasting harm; we need you both in shape for your missions." Cid drew up to his full height. "Now then... BEGIN!" He drew his sword, and as he did Agrias ran forward at tremendous speed towards Didymus. She slashed her sword out from her sheath as she neared him. Alexandria Castle Vivi had reached the end of the hallway. He jumped up to a window and gulped. Zidane's letter had explained what was going to happen next, but Vivi really did not care for the idea. He didn't like dangerous things... but he owed Zidane his life, and he knew his friend had good reasons for all of this. Vivi stood on the window and looked back at his pursuers. "I... I warn you not to follow me! I'm taking my leave, now!" He jumped out the window! The were in one of the towers of the castle, and such a jump would be fatal. Zidane jumped out behind him. Vivi had landed on a narrow path that ran between two of the large towers. He ran down to the end, and jumped down into a wooded area -- where a small carriage had been parked, waiting. Zidane followed him. Zidane impatiently tapped his foot. "If Rusty and those kids get here before Beatrix does, we're gold." Vivi whimpered. "What if Beatrix gets his first?" Zidane shrugged. "Plan B." |

Alexandria Shimera was a tad shocked when the man in clad shouted at her, but she easily got over it. "I don't know of any princess on land. Sorry." she yawned, still very tired. But she did notice one thing in this town that was very similar to where she lived...she only saw females walk the streets. If there were males where she lived, she wasn't gonna tell unless asked. |

Central City Tavern "Just a head's up; it's about to get loud in here." Crystal rose an eyebrow, a confused expression on her face "What do you-" she paused suddenly getting it. She narrowed her eyes "What are you gonna do?" She whispered harshly, but he was already up and making a scene. Crystal shook her head at Sama's 'drunk' antics but said nothing. "This can't end well" She took a sip of her water. Resembool "You build them, and i'll pilot!" Eva exclaimed happily, caught up in the excitement. Things like this always got her pumped, the thought of one day piloting was exciting! Suddenly the conversation was broken as a large cloaked man came into the room, asking about the neighbors. From the expression on Winry's face this was a surprising request. She watched on curiously. |

(Shoot. Another I guess I owe Sama too.) Central City: Streets The old mage suddenly felt an odd power source nearby. Radiating off of a human. The power was odd...Different...something he had only read about in books. Time for some research. "Why, hello there, traveler." Nihlus said to Garet, his eyes gleaming. "You must have traveled far to arrive here. Are you thirsty? Hungry? It's on me." He continued. Seaside Town Issac looked at the group who certainly stood out of the crowd. The crowd was acting pretty odd. They looked sea sick too... Mia turned around to Issac. "They won't take our money here! Can you believe that?" She said, worrying. "Mia...there are people. Approaching us. What should we do?" Issac asked. "Well...they don't look bad. Let's see what they want." She answered, unsure. |

I'll bite your legs off!

Central City Tavern Gluttony was trembling. Not with fear of Sama...but with hunger. A target, right there, touching him... ...Lust realized that she had to act fast. It seemed not only that Sama had some idea as to who, and what, they were, but also that he was trying to get them to reveal that information in public. Gluttony looked like he was about to lose it...a slight glare was on her face before it changed, quickly, to a look of horror. Then, she screamed. "DRUNKARD! SWINE!" she screeched, and splashed her wine in Sama's face. "HELP! Someone! Get this pig away from me!" she called. Now, drunkards are not an uncommon sight in a tavern, but in a tavern, when an attractive woman (although to apply such a description to Lust would be inaccurate) begins to call for help, there may be a more than a few men willing to provide it... Resembool Pinako nodded. She was never one to show shock or surprise openly. "I'm sorry." she simply said to the "stranger", whose identity she (and TVoL) had began to suspect. "They're gone. The father left years ago, the mother died a about nine years thereafter, and the boys are out and off into the world. Don't know where they are, but they DO drop by occasionally." she said. She watched the newcomer, waiting to see his reaction to her words. Paladin Enclave Didymus looked to Cid, and nodded. When the match began, he drew his sword, and ran towards Agrias. he wanted to wait for her to come to him, to let her make the first move, and, potentially, capitalize on that, but considering the rules of the match, remaining near the edge of the square was a bad idea. Of course, he was nervous, somewhat. Agrias was more experienced, and probably the better with the sword. And in a training match, as he had observed, a Paladin's blessings (or abilities they find, blessings or otherwise, that's left for each to decide what to believe themselves) do not always manifest, not as often as in a real situation, anyway. Nonetheless, he charged forward, reading his own sword. He tried to maintain a defensive stance, reading to potentially, as per his strategy earlier, capitalize on any mistake Agrias may make. But if lethal tactics are forbidden... he thought......no. Resorting to a trick based on the rules will not help in a real fight. Although he was likely outmatched in sword skill, he readied himself to parry... Alexandria Castle Beatrix still rushed, icy and intent, after Vivi. When he leaped from the window, she hesitated...then followed suit. Now, Beatrix wore less armor than Steiner, relying more on mobility in her fights than endurance or "shock value". As such, keeping ahead of him was easy for her. She leaped out, and landed near Zidane and Vivi. She then used Climahazzard and knocked them both out. Period. Just kidding. Really, she simply charged, sword drawn, at Vivi, without a word. Steiner, meanwhile, fastened himself to a rope streamer, and leaped from the window himself...however, the rope snapped as he was swinging, sending him on a collision course with the carriage! |

Central City Tavern "Oh geez....." As the strange--and still rather creepy-- woman screamed and splashed Sama with her drink Crystal sighed. She wasn't sure what Sama had said to her (she assumed to get that reaction he must have said or done something that she didn't notice) but it wasn't casual bar-chat. The waterbender quickly decided to stand and make her way over, in effort to difuse the situation. She didn't particularly like the two newcomers but that was no reason to start a fight. Crystal quickly noticed that she was not the only one who was making her way over to the commotion, in fact several other people (all men she noted with a frown) were on their way. She sped in front of them and to the two strangers and Sama. She offered a large smile (though a nervous one, the two still freaked her out) and attempted to calm everyone. "I'm sorry if my friend here did anything to offend, bother, worry, or any other not happy emotion-you. He's just being himself, which isn't always the brightest." she offered a nervous laugh, twirling a strand of brown hair around her finger. Her other hand was behind her back, ready to waterbend if needed....Afterall Sama had said it was gonna get loud in here... |
