[Ysmault Station] At the far end of the docking line a door opened and out stepped a single figure – Azula Veidt. She was dressed in top-grade combat armor, but there were no weapons in her hands or on her person. “I prefer the hands on approach. Why send someone else to welcome you and waste our time when it’s me you came here to see?” Azula replied with a smirk as she approached the five figures fearlessly. The red ring on her finger was emitting a faint glow. “Now, shall we get down to business? I have several jobs that need doing. I’ll tell you right now they are difficult and you may afoul of the law, but your compensation should more than make up for any troubles you have.” Azula explained. |

[Ysmault Station] As Azula stepped closer to the group, the central figure held up a hand, palm forward in a gesture to stop. "Heh. I like it, down to business. But hold it right there, girlie, because I have a few conditions before I am hired. I have standards, and I'm not going to be working a sub-par contract for minimalist pay. The Raven Talons are the highest-paid mercenary company in the entire galactic arm, and one of the most sought-after in the galaxy. So you'll be hearing me out before I agree to put anything on the table." He stepped forward, pointing at the red ring. "First, you're going to stop messing with my psi-barriers using that little toy of yours. This is non-negotiable." He raised the hand further, raising two fingers. "Second, I don't work for minimalist pay. Initial hiring price for the Raven Talons is a hundred thousand credits per job, standard mercenary guild danger multipliers and bounty rules apply. They're doing it right, so I'll just use an equation already created for me." He raised a third finger. "Third, I do things my way. If I see a better option of finishing the contract, I'll usually take it. Your best bet would not be to try and bind me within a cage made of rules and regulations, or you'll probably be VERY disappointed." He raised a fourth. "Fourth and final rule: Don't piss me off and don't try to stab me in the back. If you even TRY doing something of the sort, I'll personally mount your head on the bow of my ship and use it as a naval ram. AFTER I subject you to a few weeks within the prison cells on board the Leviathan. And I got REALLY good at getting information from people, girlie." He finally lowered his hand. "If you can agree with those four stipulations, we can start the negotiations." |

[Ysmault Station] Azula watched with a rather bemused smirk on her face as he laid out his conditions. She always did love working with people like him – they always thought they were the best at what they did, and she hoped that he was. “Let me be very clear; all I care about is results. As long as you complete the job, the details are up to you. And if you get it done quickly and without causing me any headaches, you’ll be paid far more than a hundred thousand.” Azula said with a smile as she watched the group of mercenaries before her. Then her smile took on a dangerous edge, and there was a certain glint in her eye. “As for betrayals, you have nothing to worry about from me… and I’d better have nothing to worry about from you. If you’re as good as you claim, then it would be a shame to kill you. I’d much rather simply pay you to do as I ask.” |

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus looked over to Asuka as she sighed, contemplating her and all that was between them. There were things on his mind, namely what was going to be done with their discoveries at Hyperion...but for now, perhaps... "Asuka, care to come back to my quarters?" |

-Binthu- “I think so,” Hammah said to Sama. As they got closer Hammah focused, typing on his H.U.D. over his wrist, attempting to hack the door open! -Haven- “Yo Kevin!” Ben appeared, grinning towards his pal and former enemy, “Hope all of you haven't been waiting too long.” -T.R.S. Crusader- “Welcome back, Comrade Asuka and Comrade Didymus,” Omega said, there to greet Asuka and Didymus as they returned. -Spicer Satellite- Jack raised an eyebrow, spinning in his chair and typing something out, doing a search on Azula Veidt. Both eyebrows now went up. Daughter of Adrian Veidt... the man responsible for New Marais. Azula herself was also very much wanted. And attractive too... if a little insane. Never let Azula and Erin meet. He grinned, turning back and sending out a reply. “Sounds like a plan. Where should I come meet with you?” Jack asked. -T.A.R.D.I.S.- The Doctor frowned, looking at the console. Sometimes he wondered if it wouldn't be for the better if he just disappeared... But with the Daleks back, and who knew what else... “We'll need more information then that to go on,” Azmuth spoke up, as The Doctor remained quiet, “Do you know his real name?” |

Haven Melanie opened her eyes for just a moment as she felt the cushion shift a bit with Galv's weight. She leaned against him and rested her head against his shoulder, closing her eyes once again. "I'm glad she likes me to...I'm always afraid that i'm too cold..." she mumbled, holding the baby a bit tighter. [...] "Come on, we'll head out now" Jason said with a small smile, placing an arm around Erin's shoulders. He then looked to Kanna. "Will you be okay?" "Just fine" Kanna said. "And you'll check on Mel eventually?" He asked Kanna gave a simple nod, waving the two adults away. "Go" Jason gave a nod, leading Erin and Solanna out. [...] Jade and the others made their way to Mr. Smoothie, anxiously waiting for Ben. The girl would never admit it but she had been a bit worried about the boy...After all he had been in a very dangerous situation not too long ago. Upon spotting him (most likely with smoothie in hand) Jade rushed over, attacking him in a quick hug. "Glad you didn't die or anything! What happened?" Gwen, who was standing next to Kevin, grinned as well. "Glad you made it back in one piece Ben" |

Low Orbit of Ganymede The engine was humming, the fans were turning, the lights were dimmed as the fishing trawler marked The Bebop floated safely around the moon. The ship was relatively quiet otherwise, no sounds at all. Suddenly, the sound of a kick contacting with metal echoed through the chambers of the ship. Followed by this, the sound of a trumpet burst out. Festive music rang out. A man in a blue suit sat down on a couch. A dog began to bark. "Shut up Ein!" Spike grunted as he sat back to watch the show. A pair of figures came together onscreen; a man and a woman dressed up as cowboys. "Hi Amigos! All three hundred-thousand bounty hunters in the galaxy: How y'all doin'?" The man asked in a thick Mexican accent. "And now it's time for Big Shots, the show that tells everything about fugitives!" The woman said. "Shucks howdy! The first hombre today is this guy!" A picture of silver hedgehog-Mobian came on the screen. A large sum of money appeared on the screen under his facial profile with proper data. The man blathered on about the bounty while having an exchange with the woman. Spike yawned, hearing Ein whimpering nearby. "Fine. Let's get you fed." He walked to the fridge, opening it to find it mostly empty. He reached in, pulling out a tin of dog food. He cracked it open before pouring it into a small doggy bowl labeled "Ein." The dog began eating out of the bowl as Spike sighed. "No good money, Ein. Guess we won't be eating good this week." He leaned against the counter, bowing his head slightly, lost in thought. Haven - Mall A youth shambled through a large shopping complex. Shipper could feel his feet dragging as he plodded forward. He felt his stomach grumbling as he caught the smell of the large food court. The mall was renowned by Haven as a good shopping center, even despite the location. He felt somewhat isolated as he drifted away from the droves of the crowd. He could feel them, all of them. The ground responded to his control, his word, his movements. He could sense people's movements, people all around him. It was strange, possessing these powers. Whatever happened at New Marias was hard to explain to people. The people of Haven were made up of a large chunk of people like Shipper. He felt they would have trouble fitting into the galaxy as it was. He couldn't be sure anymore. This planet had turned out to be a good refuge, however. And though he hated the mall, he did need to pick some things up for the freight company he worked for. He stopped at the food court, approaching a stand that specialized in fried chicken. |

-Haven- Hawkins' House “No, you're never too cold,” Galv said to Melanie, snuggling a little closer to her himself, Elizabeth smiling happily as Melanie and her brother were close to her. Streets Erin walked out with Jason, carrying Solanna happily, then glancing towards Jason. “Have you... ever thought... of having another one?” Erin asked, after a moment. Mr. Smoothie Ben grinned when Jade hugged him, hugging the girl back for a moment. “Just some weird glowy crystal thing, and some space trash cans. I kicked butt, as usual,” Ben said, both fudging the truth and leaving out several important details. He didn't want them to worry... plus, it's Ben. “So smoothies for everyone!” Ben said, grinning, “I'm buying!” Mall A young female sat at the food court, munching idly on something that looked horribly burnt. She was unusual, even among those of Haven. She had long white hair, with tanned skin and red eyes. She wore a simple yellow tank top and red shorts, and was sitting alone at her table. I'm sure somehow could join her if they asked. -The Bebop- As if an answer to their prayers, in came a message... It was high priority, and had an interesting location... From Tatoonine!... It was a certain job offer... |

Ganymede - Low Orbit Spike's ears perked as a nearby console began to make a small alert sound. He walked over to the console and clicked something - a message from Tatooine! Not just a message, a job offer. And a very sound one to boot, from an old employer, no doubt. The official bounties were small potatoes at the moment, and Spike wasn't big on catching smaller fish. He tapped a button to accept the message, leaning back and watching the monitor. Ein's ears perked up but he continued eating, nonchalantly. Haven - Mall There was absolutely nowhere to sit in the food court. It was absolutely crowded, and Shipper had regrets about deciding to get food at this hour. His eyes scanned around when they settled on a young woman who stood out from the rest of the people around. She was alone! Shipper could sit there! But..he didn't know her. That was a problem. Shipper was socially inept at times, being a little clumsy with his speech. He wasn't sure if he could bring himself to ask a complete stranger if he could sit and eat his meal. But he resolved himself - there was simply no other option. He walked over, holding his tray up, sliding through the crowd. He now stood before Aiden, simpering slightly. "Ay! Uhh..this chair taken?" He managed to spit out. "Erm, by that, I mean...uh...is it okay if I sit here?" He asked. "It's just that this place is so...crowded and..nowhere else is available and.." He shirks his shoulders, slightly, waiting for her response. |

[Ysmault Station] Thevyn nodded quietly to Azula's answers, stepping forward from where he was standing and extending a hand to shake in agreement. "Then we have an accord. Now, details. What is it that you're hiring us for?" Of course, the fact that Azula couldn't do much to him and his crew at the moment went unsaid. While she did threaten to kill him, beside the fact that the red ring gave her a tremendous amount of potential, there was nothing else to her presence. She went out alone to meek him and his crew in a place where his warship was present. And in fact, the warship itself was inside the hangars. If it opened fire with its full battery here in the station, Thevyn doubted there would be much left of it. Then again, he wasn't about to underestimate his new employer. She looked sophisticated and didn't seem to like bullshit, something he actually liked, and MAYBE she had something up her sleeve that should make him wary. Now, it was all about the methods she was going to employ. The Raven Talons were usually hired for some pretty dirty piracy and privateer jobs: hijacking ships, blasting stations, destroying convoys... The Raven Talons were a company who have gained their notoriety by being the Ghosts of the Cosmos, a ship that struck out of nowhere, then vanished into nowhere. With its armaments, the Red Crow wads capable of taking on ships many times its own size, though it needed to do some hefty preparation and needed a bit of luck to pull it off. Except when it came to finding good jobs, it seems... |

[Binthu] The doors of the facility sudden swung open and out stepped several figures in white armor carrying large guns. They immediately aimed them at the group, but did not open fire. Sama paused as they appeared, and his hand slowly moved towards his weapon. Yet before he could draw it, a fourth figure appeared from the facility. “Whoa, hold on. There’s no need for anybody to start shooting. Now… my name is Jacob Taylor. I’m head of security for this facility. And I know who all of you are. Now, if you’ll just put your weapons down, we’ll go ahead and let you inside and we can discuss this calmly.” [Haven] Mr. Smoothie Kevin raised an eyebrow. He had a feeling that Ben was leaving out several details, but he wasn’t about to call him on it right now. “Well, next time bring us along with you.” [Spicer Satellite] The coordinates to Ysmault were transmitted to Jack Spicer, with an invitation for him to come along. [TARDIS] “No one knows his real name.” River said, shaking her head. She crossed her arms and looked over to Azmuth. “Whoever the Illusive Man was before this, he had some level of money and power. Something happened that gave him a lot more of both, and he’s become a ghost ever since. I’ve looked into him, found very little, and nothing that’s a sure thing.” She turned her head back towards The Doctor. “Now isn’t the time for you to second guess yourself, Doctor. You’ve done so much good… and you’re going to do so much more.” [TRS Crusader] Asuka was unusually silent at the moment, but she gave a small nod, and a faint smile and followed Didymus. [Ysmault Station] Azula shook Thevyn’s hand and then she went straight to the explanation. “I need you to track down three individuals and bring them back here to me. I need them alive, and in as good condition as possible. They should be in possession of a certain item, and I’ll require that brought to me as well.” Azula said cryptically, and she pulled a data disc from her bag and handed it to the mercenary. “The three of them were together as soon as a few hours ago, but that may have changed. The people in question are Gendou Ikari, the former head of a secretive research organization called NERV… ‘Handsome Jack’, the CEO of the Hyperion Corporation, and a woman called The Rani.” Azula explained, allowing a faint smile. “Ikari and Jack are wanted fugitives of the UTR. Ikari was previously serving a life sentence in a supermax prison satellite, and Jack has been revealed as a traitor to the UTR. However, Jack is incredibly wealthy and will likely use his considerably means to try to escape. Ikari has nowhere to go and will likely stay with Jack. Finding will be tricky and you’ll probably encounter resistance, but it needs to be done.” “The Rani is more… problematic. She is what’s called a ‘Time Lady’. Do not underestimate her, or will she kill you… or worse. I will pay the most for her. As I mentioned, I need all three of them alive.” Azula then smirked once more. “Finally, there is the matter of the package. It is a computer program – an incredibly sophisticated AI. I do not know which of them is in possession of it, but I must have it. Without ANY damage.” |

[Ysmault Station] As Azula began to explain who and what she wanted recovered, Thevyn plugged the data disc into the computer on his bracer, bringing up various screens, frowning. He listed through the data, making some rather noncommittal sounds as he looked through Ikari's and Jack's dossiers. They didn't look too difficult to take care of or acquire, and would only prove problematic if they had their own plans already. In that case, he needed to be ready to subdue them, which would potentially mean getting the Leviathan involved. He REALLY didn't want to use his flagship for this op though. It was within the boundaries of inhabited space, heavily monitored and with heavy traffic. The Leviathan, while a powerful flagship in its own right, was not meant for encounters in monitored space. Once he got to The Rani, he paused, and looked up with both raised eyebrows. "You want us to snatch a TIME LORD? Heh, now THAT's audacity." He looked over his shoulder at the pale companion he brought with him. "Liv, get the dossiers on all activity of Gendou Ikari and Handsome Jack. I've heard of both of them before, time to get acquainted. I want every little piece of detail, from what exactly it was that they did to the color of slippers they wore in their safe houses. I also need you to track down a Time-Scale Rejection Module, and get it for me before we go after The Rani. Time Lords... I didn't think there were many of them left after their planet went to hell, but looks like I've been proven wrong." Liv, the man that he had been talking to, pulled out a portable computer, holding it with one arm in a position that was firmly embedded in his muscle memory by now, his other hand hovering above the keys... And the hand split, each finger separating into 5 mechanical digits, all of them beginning to click away at the buttons at blinding speed. That's when he spoke up, a surprisingly harsh voice coming from a form that lithe. "Do you figure we can also get our hands on a TARDIS, captain?" Thevyn's smirk widened by a significant margin. "Indeed, Liv. That would be a fine cherry on the top for this op. But I'm not going to split the hide of a bear that's not yet been hunted. I agree to the hunts, Azula. Though your information on the Rani is surprisingly brief." He again turned his head to Liv. "Get information on that Time Lady. See if you can contact anyone who knows anything. Look in Station Zeta, maybe they'll have an inkling." Liv saluted with his mechanical hand, following the salute with a sharp "Yes captain!" Thevyn turned his attention back to his employer. "I got the location, now time for some of the details you've left out. Are we flying solo for this op, or do you have others working on the same op as well? What is the required time by which you need all three of these individuals? Will you be in on the operation as well?" |

[Ysmault Station] “Yes. I require you to capture a renegade Time Lady. She was a criminal to her people before the Time Lords were wiped out. She evaded them for years. She also managed to hide under the Republic’s nose and put together a major operation to spring Ikari from prison. She will not be easy to find.” Azula shook her head. “And yet, I expect you to find her. Quickly and professionally. Or is that too challenging for you?” "I got the location, now time for some of the details you've left out. Are we flying solo for this op, or do you have others working on the same op as well? -The Bebop- “Greetings, mercenaries,” an alien said, “I am a translator for the great and mighty Jabba the Hutt, of the Tatootine system. Perhaps you have heard of him?” The alien smiled, “The honorable Hutt is seeking someone skilled enough to track down another bounty hunter... One known as Samus Aran. They owe the mighty Jabba considerable money. “If you can capture this Samus Aran, we are prepared to offer you a considerable bounty, including expenses. At this point the great Jabba wants to make a statement, that those he lends money too will be held accountable.” On the screen now was some data... The last known location of Samus Aran (Mars), and the offer. A very large amount. “The powerful Jabba has informed me he's willing to be... flexible, as well in his payment,” the alien smiled. “If you do not wish to take the mission, you can simply ignore this message. If you do, then you may simply proceed. Be warned though, we are sending this to other bounty hunters, so time is of the essence...” -Haven- Mall “Oh! Uhhh... of course,” Aiden said, nodding, “No one else is sitting here...” Even other people with abilities tended to avoid Aiden. Her appearance was unusual as well... Mr. Smoothie “We'll see. Don't want the T.A.R.D.I.S. to get too cramped, you know,” Ben grinned, knowing perfectly well that Kevin knew the spaceship was much bigger on the inside. -Binthu- Hammah paused, holding his hands up and looking towards Sama. “You're in charge of this mission... what's the call?” Hammah asked, using their private circuit so only their group could hear, and not the new arrivals. -T.A.R.D.I.S.- “You're right,” The Doctor said, turning to River, grinning now, “I can't be getting myself into a rut! Last time I did that I ended up chasing an alien shape shifter and marrying a Queen...” He turned to River, “So then! Do we have any leads? Any little threads we can start poking and prodding and pulling and seeing where they go?” -Ysmault Station- To help move this storyline along, a small ship appeared in the system. Jack Spicer had arrived! |

Ganymede Low Orbit - The Bebop Spike watched the alien go on for a bit. "Samus Aran, huh?" Spike scratched his chin. Where did he hear that name before? He grinned slightly, baring his teeth at the sight of the money. And Spike knew Jabba would be good for it. He was entirely wealthy and had massive rackets in the less explored planets. "Tell your boss he's got Spike Spiegel on it." He rubs his nose with his thumb, still grinning, imagining the money the Bebop's crew would be rolling in. He copied the data. "Alright Ein, we better get to Mars." He walked up to the nav-system and began to tap away on the keyboard. The engines revved up a little louder, now, as the Bebop began to move along in space to prepare a jump to hyperspace. Spike now walked back into the main room, flipping on the Bebop's computer. He began to type away, entering info on Samus Aran to see what the data bases held. As the Bebop shifted and began to hum louder, Spike leaned forward to glaze over the monitor. He plucked a cigarette out of his pocket, sliding it in between his lips. He reached for his zippo and cursed under his breath when he didn't feel its weight in his pocket. Haven - Mall Shipper grinned brightly, sitting across from her. "Gee, thanks! I promise I won't be long, I am just really hungry and there's nowhere to sit." He set his trey down, rubbing the back of his head nervously. He wasn't sure if he wanted to make small talk. She looked different in a lot of ways than the average Haven citizen. Maybe it was the hair? It was snow white, even though she couldn't have possibly been older than him. He realized too quickly that he was staring and quickly shifted away, eating his meal. What was also really strange was how burned her food was - to a crisp. Did they even serve their meals that cooked here? She had to be an alien. What kind of human would intentionally desire burned food? He quickly shoved the thought away, deciding he was dwelling too much on this.[/b] Edited by GameandWatch, Mar 5 2014, 12:32 AM.
