T.R.S. Crusader “Of course. I’m incapable of being boring.” "Heh." Didymus said. "Don't I know it." "...or we could go down to the shooting range! We can glue some of those newspaper articles complaining about you to the target dummies while we shoot!” "Captain, what did you do to Asuka? ...it's as if you're trying to make me...LIKE her..." he chuckled. "I suppose I have a little time to spare. I was planning on reliving some old memories or wargaming or something...what suits you, Asuka?" |

Haven "Awwww poor thing" Kanna said, her voice laced with with false sympathy. Despite her sarcasm she moved close to Ethan, knowing she was probably bugging Rica. She knew she probably shouldn't be messing with the men, but at times it was fun. "Lonely with no one to play with. How sad" She then handed Ethan Adrianna, so that he was holding both twins. "You guys play with the children, i'm going to get dressed finally" she said, turning on her heel to head back to her bedroom. [...] "Eh, most of the time I just don't tell her where i'm going." Melanie answered, squeezing Galv's hand. "I think she'd rather me be out on the streets than with you" It was probably true, which was kinda sad. |

-Mobius- “I can not speak for everyone, but I do think your offer will be one that is accepted. I'll pass it on to those I can trust to discuss it on the other Mobian colonies, since they do not face quite as imminent threat of invasion as the home planet does now,” Amadeus nodded to Ryand'r. “And some possible advice. I would recommend bringing the same offer to our splinter colony, Disney. They have a form of constitutional monarchy, but don't pledge loyalty to Mobius, considering events that lead to their creation...” Which was a crashed colony ship that took them a while to rebuild communications and the likewise, to the point they became their own splinter colony, and far from the usual ranges of Mobian space. “I've met their king, a mouse Mobian named Mickey. An amiable fellow, I think he would be receptive to the offer as well,” Amadeus continued, “I wish you best of luck.” -Ragnarok- “Patience is a virtue, you know,” Jimi said idly, “Something my sister was never able to grasp.” He frowned, glancing over towards Kimi, “But you do have a point. We can't sit around on our hands. But if we go to Mobius now, we'll either get caught in the middle of a fight, or right before, and no one is going to have time to talk to us.” Jimi paused, rubbing his chin, “We know the Red Lanterns have a vendetta against the Green Lanterns. They destroyed Oa...so where would be their next move?” -Haven- Ethan smirked, taking Adrianna so he was now holding his two youngest, smiling down at them. “I'm sure neither Rica nor I have any complaints about your current state of dress,” Ethan said, beating Rica to the punch. Galv frowned a little, but shrugged. Melanie was with him now, and that's what mattered. “I've been working more on moving metal with my electricity,” Galv then mentioned, “I'm still not that good, but I'm getting better. I can sort of shoot things, but not really good at anything delicate...” -T.R.S. Crusader- “My research indicates that the recreational sport known as paintball is a good team building exercise,” Omega chimed up, “It seems like it would be enjoyable.” Now I'm imagining Omega getting himself optional paintball weapons for just such occassions. |

[Ragnarok] Sama leaned back, his hands behind his head. “That’s the question, Jimi… because I don’t see what their next move could be. I doubt they know we’re trying to form a Blue Lantern Corp… and in terms of waging war on the Green Lanterns, well… they already won.” He sighed. “The Green Lanterns, from what John told me, did have a few bases scattered through the galaxy… but they were mostly just safehouses for the Lanterns to use while they were on assignment. All of their important work was done on Oa.” He paused for a moment. “Though you know… I do wonder… I doubt Atrocitus could have managed all of this on his own. We managed to make Blue Rings because we had the Guardians, and the Doctor… but Atrocitus somehow made Red Rings without having help from their original creator or a super genius Time Lord.” Sama frowned. “Or at least, that’s what we’ve been assuming… what if Atrocitus DID have help from someone or something? It might explain how they got their hands on the Bahamut, too…” Otacon interjected. “You could be right. Creating the Rings used by the various Lantern Corps is no small task. The technology is very different than what’s used by most of the races in the universe, and its types of technology haven’t been studied very much outside of the Lantern Corps… which means the list of beings capable of creating the Rings is pretty short.” Sama sighed. “See what you can find, Hal.” [Mobius] Ryand’r gave a brief, respectful bow to Amadeus. “I shall look into getting an invitation to King Mickey. It would be beneficial to have as many allies as we can…” He nodded. “I thank you for your help, General, and I do hope your people will accept our invitation. The Dominion will do what it can to protect the Mobians today… but our resources are significantly more limited than the UTR. If Sally ultimately rejects our offer, then we cannot spend protect Mobius forever.” [TRS Crusader] “Paintball is a great idea!” Asuka grinned. “Although that’s pretty messy and I’m not sure if we even have paintball guns on board… so what about laser tag? We have some practice lasers that can’t hurt you… we could go down to the training area! We can break off into teams! It’ll be fun!” |

Haven "I'm sure you both don't" Kanna said, rolling her eyes and heading out of the room. This left the men with a bunch of squirming babies. [...] “I've been working more on moving metal with my electricity, i'm still not that good, but I'm getting better. I can sort of shoot things, but not really good at anything delicate...” Suddenly Melanie perked up. "Really! Oh! Show me with something!" she looked around, grabbing what looked like a bottle cap from the ground. She placed it in his palm, watching carefully with a smile. |

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus paused, reflecting on this. Laser tag? Not sure he wanted to...but if there were...well, if it was available...Asuka had been nice the last time they did something together...mostly at least. "Is that really what you want? If so, then sure, I can come along." |

[TRS Crusader] “Great!” Asuka said, and for once she seemed legitimately happy. She headed towards the door, expecting Didymus, Omega and possibly even Alouette to follow. However… “Colonel! Incoming transmission! Top priority!” Without any further warning, the nearest video screen flicked on. “Colonel,” It was an EarthComm Representative, and he looked stressed. “We have a situation. You’re the nearest ship, and we could use someone with your expertise as it is.” Asuka was initially upset – it was now apparent that the laser tag would be cut short. However, she did brighten up at the thought that she might have a real fire fight to enjoy instead. “Space Pirates have attacked a transport vessel. On board were a handful of Congressional Representative, one of our top military scientists, and members of the media. Needless to say this is a critical situation.” Alouette frowned. This was all bad news. “We’ll send you the coordinates. Colonel, our top priority is to recover the hostages if they are still alive. Do whatever it takes to get the job done quickly, cleanly and quietly.” He typed something, and the coordinates appeared on the screen. “One more thing. Given we’re dealing with Space Pirates, we’ve contracted Samus Aran to assist. She’s already on her way. She’s the foremost expert on the Space Pirates, her knowledge should prove invaluable.” He saluted. “Good luck and Godspeed, Colonel. We can’t afford any mistakes on this one.” |

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus listened to the new instructions passed from EarthCom, and nodded. He brought up his PDA. "We're moving out. Bring the ship to battle stations and take us to these coordinates...call department heads and available officers to the situation room." He turned to Asuka. "Well, Asuka, I hope you're rested and ready. Looks like you may get to use REAL weapons today." And Samus will show up, too... |

-Ragnarok- “It could be someone we don't know about too...” Jimi frowned, “Uuugh, maybe the issue isn't in finding a lead, it's having too many...” -Mobius- “I understand,” Amadeus said, “Regardless of what the future holds, I hope we can help repay the favor.” He gave Ryand'r a bow back, “If you excuse me I must now contact a few individuals, and you doubtless have preparations of your own.” -T.R.S. Crusader- If Omega could look excited, he would be right now. Pirate attack? That sounded like fun. “I believe this gives us an excellent opportunity to excel,” Omega commented, “Thankfully I am already fully loaded and ready to go.” Making sure he had all of his ammo ready was for Omega like someone making sure someone had pants on when they left the house. Both would feel terribly embarrassed if they forgot. -Haven- Ethan smirked a little, holding Addrianna and Aaron carefully, smiling down at them as Aaron seemed to settle peacefully in his father's arms, Addrianna looking slightly annoyed at having to share with her brother. “Alright...” Galv said, taking the bottle cap. He held it up on his palm, focusing. Electricity sparked in his hand, the bottle cap floating up slightly. He pointed it away from the buildings, and the bottle cap shot forward, zooming past the two, out of eyesight, possibly hitting a faraway tree and getting embedded in it. “Errr...I've been having trouble controlling speed,” Galv said sheepishly. |

Haven Melanie watched Galv's hand carefully, jumping a bit when it flew out of his hand and shot forward like a bullet. A second later it was out of few, probably embedded into a building or a tree. The girl the quickly turned her attention back at Galv, a large smile on her face. "That was so cool! You shot it out of your hand, you don't even need to ever shoot a gun!" |

[TRS Crusader] Soon enough, the department heads and important officers were gathered in the situation room. Asuka was in the corner of the room (presumably with Omega), although she decided to be quiet for this meeting. A holographic image of Samus’ helmet appeared. She was still on her own ship, but was broadcasting as she flew towards the same coordinates as the Crusader. “Colonel,” Samus nodded as her holographic image appeared. “I’ve done some long-range scans on the captured frigate. The Space Pirates have captured the control room and the security station, but it seems the crew deactivated the security cameras during the raid, so we’ll be able to infiltrate the ship without the pirates seeing us – or at least we have a chance to.” She continued. “The hostages are all in the engine room. Although there only appears to be minimal guards around them, it does raise a far greater problem – one stray round is all it would take to damage the engines and cause a potential catastrophic failure. In my opinion, our best bet is to go in with small teams and hit the three major areas simultaneously – the control room, the security office and the engine room. The larger the group, the greater the chance a stray bullet blows us all to bits.” [Mobius] Ryand’r nodded to Amadeus. “Yes. I must go and prepare the defense. I hope we can speak more of this after this immediate crisis has passed.” [Ragnarok] A few minutes later, Hal returned… and he looked frazzled. “… I think I found something.” Otacon told the others, and from the tone of his voice, it was not good news. “Oh boy… what’s up Hal?” Sama asked. “Well, I found someone who might be involved. We still have a few scans of the Bahamut from the battle on Oa. I checked through them, and I found a striking similarity to some of the newer engines on the Bahamut. Engines that had to be made after the Bahamut was stolen.” “Get to the point.” Sama sighed. “Those engines match blueprints from an old file… blueprints designed by Gendou Ikari.” |

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus listened as Samus explained what was going on. "One of THOSE ships with engines like THAT?" He shook his head. "Well, that complicates things. Well, we'll deploy a spec ops group for the hostage rescue, but do the pirates have complete control of the ship? At any rate, they're going to have a ship, or ships in the area, so the whole ship will be at battle stations. I want us ready to fight ship-to-ship." |

[TRS Crusader] "We do have another problem, Colonel." Samus said, and she brought up a display so that instead of a holographic image of her helmet, there was a holographic image of the captured ship. Three areas were highlighted on the hologram. ![]() "The pirates have control of these three areas on the ship. While it's overall a small portion of the Frigate, they're all critical areas. The Blue is the Control Deck. It's arguably the lowest priority, but we can't afford to ignore it. Space Pirates have been known to resort to suicide attacks if they think they're losing a battle, so allowing them to pilot the Frigate could end with them driving right into the nearest Star." Samus explained. "Yeesh. Even I think that's overkill." Asuka chimed in. "The red area is the security office. Although the ships defenses and cameras are offline, the Pirates are working to get them back online. If that happens, our job gets a lot harder. Although it's ultimately your decision who goes where, I think I am best suited to retake the security office. My Varia Suit can hack into the systems and get security back online -- and get it to recognize us as friendlies. In addition, I don't have much in the way of non-lethal weaponry, and sending me near the critical systems on the bridge or in the engine room is a riskier bet than sending me into security." She then turned her focus on the green area. "That's the engine room itself. The hostages are all crammed in, near the critical systems. It's our highest priority... and the most dangerous. This is a civilian frigate, so it's engines aren't shielded in the same way a military vessel's are. One stray shot in the wrong area and the warp core destabilizes and then we all die in atomic hellfire." Samus is cheerful. "Our best bet is to hit all three areas simultaneously. I'm sure you have enough Marines on-board to make that feasible, so it's just a matter of picking who leads which team, and who goes where. I've given my opinion already. If you'd like to send a Marine team to accompany me, my contract says I have to agree... but make sure anyone who goes with me understands that they'll follow my commands." -Haven- Galv smiled, happy that Melanie was impressed, “Thanks! Though I hope I never have to use it against anyone...” Galv could fight, and fight well, and he would kill anyone who tried to threaten Melanie and his family, but that didn't mean he liked to. “What about you? Have you practiced anymore with that shadow teleportation stuff?” Galv asked, curious, “I bet that could come in really handy.” -Ragnarok- “Isn't that the guy who made those Evongelion mobile suits or something?” Jimi asked idly, frowning, “Tried for crimes against nature too, or something?” He tapped his chin, pulling out a small pocket computer and tapping at it, his eyebrows going up, “Okay yah from what information the Forever Knights had about those things, if Gendou made those, he could probably make a Ring. So where is he? We can go interrogate him.” Jimi cracked his knuckles. One of the few things he and Kimi agreed on was how to handle evil SOBs. -Mobius- “Best of luck,” Amadeus said, turning and heading towards his own office, to make a few calls. He knew Sally and the U.T.R. would be suspicious, but with the mounting threat of the Metarex...And besides, he was just relaying information to people who could mull it over... “I don't what's worse,” Sonic mentioned, pacing back and forth on the hill by Tails' Workshop with the others, “The waiting for the big invasion or the big invasion itself. I almost just want to suit up and just start bashing their faces in myself...” He glanced towards the Caliburn Armor, made for him by the insane scientist Desty Nova, and further modified by the boy genius and Sonic's honorary younger brother Tails. It did enable him to fight in space, and he wasn't going to say no to anything that helped him protect more innocent lives. -T.R.S. Crusader- “If I may offer a suggestion,” Omega said, speaking up, “Send me to the Control Deck. I will deactivate my ballistic weapons and stick with close range combat. If they believe there is only a single combat robot coming after them, they may believe we do not have enough forces on hand to retake the ship, and will become overconfident and easier to take by surprise.” Even without his massive arsenal, Omega was still a force to be dealt with. He was powerful enough to fight foes in power armor, and his metallic body made him impervious to many weapons. “In addition, I will be able to control the ship from there alone, and can use it to help the others,” Omega added, “But I will not say no to any back up, or wherever you deem to place me.” |

[Haven] Natalia Romanova, Agent of SHIELD, was in a meeting with her agency’s director, Nick Fury. “Sir. You asked me to comb through all of the residents of Haven and look for anyone who might be tied to the attack last week.” Romanova sat a stack of files down on Fury’s desk. “I remember.” Nick nodded. “I’ve narrowed it down to less than 100 persons of interest. I was going to interview another, but Barton thinks the circumstances are unusual enough I should get approval from you first.” Romanova explained. “Unusual? How so?” Fury asked. “Her name is Mara Anderson. She was one of the New Marais refugees. Interesting enough, she’s living next door to Kanna Narroh.” At this, Fury’s eye lit up. “Narroh? That family just keeps popping up in our intel. One of NERV’s favorite projects… Their names are all over the PDA we recovered from Burke.” Romanova nodded. “Yes, sir. That’s what originally attracted my interest in Mrs. Anderson. However, Barton thinks I’m wasting my time because Anderson is in her 70’s.” Fury suddenly paused and looked up at Romanova. “… I don’t know many terrorist grandmas.” “I know it’s slightly unusual, but there’s more to the story. According to UTR records, there was an elderly woman named Mara Anderson living on New Marais at the time of the Ray Sphere incident… but she was living nearly two blocks away from ground zero.” Natalia explained. Fury paused. “… That is odd. Most of the people at ground zero of the Ray Sphere were transformed into mindless monsters…? We lost a lot of good Marines to those Monsters… but a woman in her 70’s with no apparently weaponry or combat training manages to survive?” “In addition… we took DNA samples from all residents of Haven, for research and study… but we don’t seem to have a sample from Anderson. I’ve triple checked with the lab.” Fury leaned back in his chair. “Okay. I didn’t think you’d convince me to sign off on an investigation into granny, but you did. Just handle this carefully, Natalia. If you’re wrong and it’s nothing, I’ll have both the politicians AND the press crawling through SHIELD business for months.” Romanova – Black Widow – nodded. “Thank you, Director Fury.” [Ragnarok] Sama nodded. “Yeah, Ikari was the leader on the EVA project. He was convicted of… well, it’s usually easier to list off the things he wasn’t convicted of. He tried to barter information for his freedom for a long time, but the UTR refused to deal with someone like him. He’s currently in Arkham Satellite Prison, orbiting the Earth’s moon.” Sama shrugged. “Let’s go talk to the nut job.” [TRS Crusader] “That could work.” Samus nodded to Omega. “Sounds like that leaves you, me and some of the marines to save the hostages.” Asuka looked to Didymus. “The plan’s fine with me. But Colonel Didymus has command over this mission. Does the plan meet with your approval?” Samus asked. |
