I'll bite your legs off!

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus was silent as Asuka spoke. "...you know that's not my position, Asuka. I never said it. But it's just that so many people with powers play the victim card so often, and use it as an excuse to to act above the law-these are not the only such people-though few have taken it as far as they have. Surely you wouldn't have me excuse these murderers and let them off after all this. You may not agree that these kind of things never should have been looked into, but I'm sure that even you can realize that these people are bad, that they are, for all their rhetoric, merely mortal, and prone to the flaws they have demonstrated. Whatever excuse they have for it, the fact remains that they must be stopped." He sighed. "...I KNOW you love your abilities to shoot flames and read minds and hate it when I rail against them-or at any rate the genetic mutations that allow them. But my briefing contained nothing but facts. Your aid in storming this compound would be appreciated...in fact, I even request it, as I think it could save lives. But it's your affair." This is the path I walk...and if this is the cost, so be it. SOMEONE needs to. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Los Angeles- “Or maybe a mongoose...” Erin said, still thinking, “Wouldn't you like a mongoose, Solanna?” She smiled, as they made their way to the boardwalk, coming to a stop at a particular booth, where a tall man with light brown hair and green eyes stood. It was a game where you tossed a ball into a large table full with indentations, barely large enough for the ball to fit. There were four different colors. Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. The vast majority were red, then with the other ones scattered around. “Like to try your luck?” the man asked, waving to Erin and Jason, “Get a ball on one of the blue, yellow, or green, and you can win a prize!” “Ohhh, let's try this, Jason!” Erin said, tugging on Jason's arm towards the booth, “I bet you can win this!” “I feel responsible,” Ethan said, frowning, “Besides...if I can do something...I should do it.” He gently took the paper away from Adrianna, pushing his seat back away from the table, standing up, holding his daughter carefully. “You really shouldn't drink so much...” Ethan frowned, looking at the glass in Kanna's hand, “It's not good for you...” -Flashback- Ethan frowned, wondering just why Kanna was even here if she wasn't helping... He then paused, looking up at the soldier, nervous. “Ummm, I'm Ethan...I'm Kessler's assistant. He sent me here to get a blood sample from Kanna, but she's hungry. I'm getting her something to eat, so she can give blood. Dangerous, otherwise,” Ethan explained. Kanna had definitely been in much more dangerous situations before...not that Ethan knew. -Haven- “Ahh, Jade!” Jackie said over the phone, sighing, “We have been worried sick! You need to come home this instant! You can't be running around at sixteen like this!” The Doctor looked to Kevin, then shrugged. “Honestly, I would say the current administration wouldn't,” The Doctor answered, “But humans can be...unusual. I know there's been some movements, at least...” -T.R.S. Crusader- Omega was quiet, listening to Asuka and Didymus. He was there, because if you're going up against people who can shoot energy beams from their nostrils (note this is not actually someone's power), you'd want a battle robot backing you up. The robot was fascinated by the mutations of New Marais, and what he could learn of them. Modifying for a robot was simple, easy, and came with no controversy. If Omega wanted to upgrade his systems, he could. But then with these biological lifeforms...they were different. Changing, modifying themselves brought mixed responses. Some welcomed it, wanted it. Others hated it, and felt pity for those who had changed. Still more feared it, and others wanted it gone. But also as well, if Omega disliked an upgrade or modification, he could simply get rid of it, revert to his original systems or weapons. The humans did not have the same choice. Any process to change them back would be as wrought with danger as the process that changed them in the first place. He was quiet, then spoke. “Comrade Didymus...Comrade Asuka...I...believe...that these people are a threat because they have power,” Omega started, “But not because they have an ability like Comrade Asuka here. You humans have escalated your weapons throughout your history at an impressive rate, and it seems to me that this is simply a new weapon. If an average citizen can kill another with a gun...then these abilities are simply the same concept, but on a slightly larger scale...” |

[Haven] “Yeah… humans are pretty unusual.” Kevin agreed, crossing his arms. The boy was human – well, at least half – but he could fully agree with the Doctor’s sentiment. “They can’t be kept here. Even if the new administration decides they’re too dangerous to stay isolated. It’s mathematically impossible. You can’t contain life. You can put a lid on it, and push down, and try to contain it… but the harder you try to contain it, eventually, it won’t be contained. Life… won’t be contained.” A strange scientist who was dressed in a black leather coat and wearing sunglasses stepped in through one of the automatic doors. He looked nothing like a traditional scientist, and he seemed to enjoy long rants. “I just hope that, for once in human history, we decide to accept those who are different without bloodshed. But I wouldn’t hinge any bets on it. Then again, if there is one thing more dependable than the predictable result… it’s unpredictability.” “… This is why I don’t like scientists.” Kevin shook his head, annoyed. [TRS Crusader] “You don’t know anything, Didymus. This is exactly why we argue all the time.” Asuka shook her head. She didn’t sound angry… actually she sounded sad. “I don’t ‘love’ what they did to me. What NERV did was more horrifying than anything I’ve ever seen on the battlefield… not quite as bad as what the Zerg did, but still pretty damn horrible… I don’t love what they did, and I don’t relish the fact that I have these powers, or that people will forever look at me like I’m not human anymore because of it.” She shook her head. “But what am I supposed to do? Hate myself because of what happened? No… I accepted what happened to me a long time ago, and I’ve embraced it. Because it’s just who I am now. It’s made me a better soldier, and it’s allowed me to saves lives in the past – including your’s. And if you discovered a so-called ‘cure’ right now that could take these powers away, I’d reject it, because like I said, it’s just who I am now… and I’ve done a lot of good with these powers.” She sighed. Then Omega spoke up. “It’s… something like that, but different. These abilities are a far step from a gun… it’s a change to who you are… but it’s not that different than cyborgs. I don’t mean people who refit lost limbs with robotic ones, I mean people who have so many robotic parts they’re more machine than man… even after that happens, they’re still human, even if most of their body is mechanical, even if it’s a computer and not a heart that keeps them alive.” Asuka shook her head. “This is just… different. I don’t know if I’ll ever really be accepted… but I’ve accepted what I am, and that’s good enough.” |

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus paused, reflecting on Asuka's and Omega's words. "There are all manner of side effects of a spiritual, emotional, mental, and even physical nature to what happens when messing with the state of sentient life in any form. Cybernetics are..." he paused. "...you know, I'm tired. Tired of it all. I do know something, and it's this: we'll never agree on this, and simply because some good CAN come of something does not mean that that thing is therefore validated-a right that springs from a wrong does not confirm that the wrong should have happened or otherwise should not be remedied. As for people looking at you-not everyone who looks at you as not human means it in a bad way-some people think that you're SUPERhuman. And if you want to be thought of as just like us, ACT LIKE IT. Some of you do. Most, even. But what gets me is that you play the vicitm when some people would KILL to be able to do what you can. And when one of you misuses his "gifts" or "enhancements" or whatever name you want to attatch to it, fancies himself superiour to us "lesser beings", and goes on a murdering spree-and I am called out to stop him-what you see isn't a hunt for justice and a defense of the people-you can't see anything but my anger at the whole state of affairs, and you monize it. People like may be questioned by some, but you're WORSHIPPED by others, Asuka." He paued. "And for my part, you know that I've never treated you, or Miss Ayanami when she was here, or the Narrohs when I had some contact with them on the Forum years ago-with contempt. I've risked my neck to save your life more times than I can count-you know this. I've specifically requested vacation time with you. I've accepted you to the point that there are all manner of authority undermining rumors about us swirling around the fleet. And yet, it apppears, because I think there's at least something of sanctity to the natural state of life, sentient life at leadt, AS WELL as a sanctity to sentient life period, you still attack me like this. Media hounds still attack me like this." He sighed. "...well, take heart. There are indicators that my opinions are just old-fashioned, outdated, and will be the tiny minority in time. Or who knows, maybe one day I'll finally just snap and throw in the towel. But until then, I have a battle to win and some terrorists-regardless of their genes-to shut down." He turned to leave. Rachel looked after him. "Sorry about the colonel...but he's...he says what a lot of us are thinking. And this campaign HAS been conducted with all the professionalism and adherence to the code of honor that the Third's been known for..." Meanwhile, Didymus made his way to the chapel and, shaking with emotion, knelt. He had to have his emotions calmed... |

Los Angeles "I'll take one" Jason said, handing over some money and retrieving a ball before looking around the table. He aimed for a blue spot and threw....Completely missing it. The boy wrinkled his nose, throwing down a bit more money and retrieving three more balls. He then aimed them again, tossing...And once again hitting red. "Oh for the love of..." Jason slapped down a few more dollars and rubbed his eyes. [...] Kanna frowned, looking down into her glass before glaring back at him. "What's it to you?" she muttered, downing the glass before sitting down. She had stopped nursing just for this reason, and tended to sober up pretty quickly...She wasn't doing anything wrong in her mind. Adrianna gave a little whimper when her father moved his papers out of her grasp. [...] "Don't worry, cooking isn't too hard, i've been doing since I was even younger than you." Melanie said sweetly, putting her dough in a pan and sticking it in the over. "Not to mention the way to a boy's heart is through his stomach" The girl gave a little giggle, pushing her hair behind her ear. "But I suppose you aren't thinking about that right now" Flashback The guard glared from Ethan to Kanna before giving a curt nod. "Fine then, but keep her on a short leash. She'll snap and try to kill you if you let your guard down." "Oh go to hell" she muttered, glaring up at him for only a moment. A second later she was knocked into a wall and bound with a pair of cuffs. The girl stumbled forward as she was pulled towards Ethan, the guard giving him the slack of the cuffs. Kanna's eyes had traveled back down to the floor. "Learn some respect" he told her, patting her head. With that he headed off. For a moment Kanna stayed quiet, glaring forward. Haven "Oh come on, i'm pretty sure you did crazier things at sixteen than traveling around space with a bunch of teenagers!" Jade reasoned, imagining her uncle running around in a very simular fashion to herself. "Anyways, we're in Haven right now, probably the safest place in the universe right now" Ragnarok "Maybe" Crystal stated, looking to her bunny and jumpping a bit when she growled with an even deeper growl than before....Luckily (or unluckily) she was growling at Sama and not her. "Well...At least she'll be a good guard...Er....Bunny" They would eventually have to travel into the unknown which was outside...Maybe she'd fight the possibly monsters? Or just fight Sama's kidneys. |

[Los Angeles] Korina blinked, and tilted her head. “Boy’s hearts are in their stomach? I always thought the heart was in the chest.” She doesn’t get it. If there’s one thing Burke wouldn’t teach his daughter (among all the other things) it’s love. [Ragnarok] Sama gulped as the now oversized rabbit growled at him. He didn’t want to get mauled by this creature… it would probably hurt… and possibly be fatal. Sama had fought aliens, soldiers, monsters and mad scientists… he didn’t want his tombstone to read that what finally killed him was a bunny. “Err, we should probably get moving. I’m sure there’s some kind of structure around her- Gah!” Sama yelped not from bunny attack, but because several men in uniforms came bursting out of the jungle; each holding a high-powered automatic rifle. “This is a restricted area. You can’t park here.” One of the men growled. “Oh, well good, because we didn’t park – we CRASHED.” Sama rolled his eyes. When he saw the guards weren’t amused, he gulped and flashed his military ID. “Relax, guys, I’m army. Well, not really regular army, more the covert ops army you’re not supposed to know exists… but still, army.” The guards looked reluctant. [TRS Crusader] “… You don’t look so good.” Alouette approached Didymus. “Sorry, don’t mean to interrupt, but… I’m here if you’d like a friendly ear.” She sat down in the corner of the room, but said nothing else. |

T.R.S. Crusader Didymus was quiet for a moment, before rising and walking over to Alouette and sitting down. "Captain, I find myself wondering...heh." He paused. "I don't know if you can patch things up between Asuka and I. Our differences are simply too great, when it comes down to it..." He sighed. "...our mission, the quarry we hunt...they are a representation of everything that I have lived to oppose. Almost everything, at least. I don't know if you've been briefed on what we're doing, or if you've seen the...news coverages...of it...but we're opposing a group of crazies spouting a bunch of nonsense about the fracturing of and "evolution" of the human race, and how they're the next generation of whatever of humanity and how it's both natural and inevitable and how all mankind can and should inevitably be touched by it and embrace it fully and...well, they're responsible for the vaccency that brought you here. I didn't want this assignment, as I have a lot of emotion tied up in it, but they gave it to me anyway..." He paused. "...the media is taking their side half the time because I do what's necessary. And when I explained the situation to Asuka, she...well, responded predictably. I could have, perhaps, been more calm and collected about it, and either way I suppose I should have known, but..." He sighed again, and chuckled. "I just get so tired of it all. The media. Various politicans. These terrorists. Asuka. So much pressure to just EMBRACE this whole notion and stop remembering that these mutations aren't natural, that they shouldn't have come about. Okay, maybe that's not what they're saying exactly, but..." He shook his head. "...I've never treated any of them as sub-human. But because I wish for a cure, because I "cling" to this notion of humanity as God made it, or as close as we can get to that...or maybe because I speak a tad tougher than people would like sometimes...I get to be everyone's favorite racist, demonized even as I carry out the necessary work to serve God, Republic, and mankind...at least, that's how it feels..." |

Los Angeles Melanie blinked, but then laughed. "It's a saying" she explained, going over to the girl and placing her dough in another pan "It means if you want a boy to like you then you have to feed him right. Boys love good food" How Kanna had two men after her made no sense with this logic. Ragnarok Shannon gave a low growl as the soldiers rushed in, suddenly going after one of them and latching to his leg! "NO SHANNON! Bad bunny!" Crystal exclaimed, rushing after her bunny and trying to pull the creature before she amputated the guard's leg. This probably wasn't helping with the situation.... |

-Los Angeles- Erin frowned, watching as Jason tried to win her a prize. Her green eyes darted to the table, focusing. When Jason threw another ball, she bit her bottom lip, a light breeze tilting it, getting it to a blue circle. Only for something else to push it away, landing on a red. “Ohhhh, bad luck,” the man said, grinning still, but paused, glancing to Erin. “You still have two left though. Maybe you should let your girl here try,” the man said. Erin was frowning at the table...there shouldn't have been more wind... “Drinking is bad for you,” Ethan said, holding Adrianna carefully, “And if Adrianna and Aaron have my ability as well, they're going to have to stay away from that stuff...” He didn't want to come out and say he didn't want Kanna to make a bad impression on their children... Though considering everything else... -Haven- The Doctor raised an eyebrow to the other scientist, then ignored him, turning back to his fellow Plumbers. “We'll just have to wait and see what happens,” The Doctor grinned, “Always exciting.” Says the time traveler. “Now then, how's the T.A.R.D.I.S.? I'm sure she misses me,” The Doctor asked, turning to Ben. “I, uh, left it at Azmuth's...” Ben answered. “Ahhh, good, good,” The Doctor nodded, “Someday I'll have to go pick her back up again...But I have to make sure Haven is all situated before I take my leave.” “...They're just going to let you go?” Ben asked, raising an eyebrow. The Doctor just grinned. Jackie groaned, hanging his head, “Well, I am coming to get you! We have been worried...Besides, Uncle keeps yelling that you shouldn't be going around on adventures with boys...” A.k.a. Ben. -Flashback- Ethan's eyes widened as Kanna was shoved against the wall and cuffed, staring at the slack that the guard was offering him. “That's n-n-not necessary,” Ethan said, shaking his head, “It'll be fine...now uncuff her please...” He paused, “Or...I'll tell Kessler about this!” Not like Kessler would care. But Ethan thought he would... -Ragnarok- Jimi frowned, staying in the ship as he watched the others deal with the guards... He didn't want to deal with the U.T.R... |

[Haven] “It is exciting. You never know what kind of thing might happen. For example… the entire planet of New Marais was exposed to the same energy beam, correct?” He wasn’t really asking. He moved across the room and continued talking, not even seemingly bothered by the fact the Doctor and Ben were now talking about flying phone booths. “And yet, even before we’ve studied them, we know that the citizens of New Marais all had different effects happen to them. Many became monsters, perhaps because of some genetic incapability… but of the ones who retained their humanity, they have different powers. The same thing happens to a large group of people – and yet they all experience it differently.” He grinned. “… and it makes perfect sense. Life at the edge of chaos.” “You’ll forgive doctor Malcolm, he’s… eccentric.” Another man, this one in a more traditional lab coat, stepped out. It was Hal Emmerich – Otacon. [Ragnarok] “Argh!” The guard whose leg was bitten immediately pointed his gun down at Shannon. Sama groaned inwardly. He couldn’t stand to see an animal get hurt. Granted Shannon hated him unless he was the main course in her dinner, but she was still an animal… and his girlfriend’s pet, so he really didn’t have a choice. “Stop immediately!” Sama jumped forward and kicked the guard’s gun away. Now, instead of pointing the guns at Shannon – they were all pointed at Sama’s face. “… Did I mention I’m a colonel? I’m pretty sure guards aren’t ranked above colonels. So can we all put the guns down?” “Arrest them. All of them.” The guard with the bloody leg growled. “… You know, for one of the good guys, I get arrested a lot.” Sama sighed. [Los Angeles] The doorbell rang, and in a rare move, it was Rica who answered the door. The reason was simple. He was afraid Burke would be showing up again, and so he answered the door… with his hand hidden under his jacket, clutching a pistol. On the other side of the door were two tall men in black suits and sunglasses, and in the middle was a relatively young Asian man with spiked hair. He was dressed in a business suit, but kept tugging at it as if he was uncomfortable in the fancy clothes. “Oh, hello. Um… you’re Jackson Rica, right?” “… I prefer David.” “Really? Why not go with Jack? Jack’s a cool name.” “… Can I help you?” Rica was already annoyed. “Oh, right. Eh hem. I’m a representative of the UTR Government. We’re aware that you and your… um… family… have gone through some hard times in the past, in relation to the NERV corporation…” “Hard times doesn’t even begin to explain it. What’s this about? If this is about that incident a while ago when some government agents were hurt, I thought we had worked that out…” Rica trailed off as the boy shook his head. “No, no. Those charges were dropped by the previous administration, and we have no interest in looking into them again. No… can I come in? We wanted to make you an offer… something that could change your lives for the better.” Rica was always weary of the government, but he reluctantly allowed him in. “Thank you.” [TRS Crusader] “Colonel, I understand this is a difficult time, but please calm down. Nothing good comes from anger.” Alouette frowned, and put a hand on his shoulder. “I am well familiar with the news coverage surrounding the New Marais incident, and the various debates. And I’m well familiar with Asuka Langely Soryu. If I may be blunt… she’s the type who is more concerned with winning an argument for the sake of winning, as opposed to winning because she’s right, which often, she is not.” Alouette shook her head. “As for what is happening… if these men you are hunting have committed crimes, then you are doing your duty to pursue them, Colonel. There will always be some who will criticize no matter what happens, but you should not depend on the words of man.” She leaned back. “As for what happened… if I may be frank, there is nothing natural about it. However, while man’s body can be changed, there is nothing that can change a man’s soul. I urge you to take comfort in that.” [Flashback] A very busy man with tortoiseshell glasses, a fedora and a pinstripe suit hurried by without really paying attention to what was going on in the hallway. “Don’t damage the merchandise.” He muttered to the guard, not really caring about whatever Kanna had done to get into trouble today. He knew she was a problem, but it wasn’t anywhere near the top of his priority list. Mister Burke was far too busy analyzing the results from setting her boyfriend on fire. Cameo! From… asshat… yaaay… |

Los Angeles Jason glared at the man behind the game, as if he was questioning Jason's manliness. Jason snatched up the last two balls and focused....It made his head hurt again.... Despite the pain in his eyes he threw both balls, one landing in red and the other....In green. It wasn't quite as good as landing on the blue but it was at least better than red. Jason rubbed his eyes for a moment before turning to the man "My prize?" [...] "Mister Rica, who's at the door- Melanie had stepped out of the kitchen, having heard his mother's beau talking to whoever rang the bell. She paused seeing three men in suits walking in after Rica. She stepped back and looked up at them, not sure what to think of them... [...] "I'll be fine...I don't get drunk" Kanna lied, fiddling with the glass "It's better to deal with it this way than any other...Anyways I don't let Jason drink, nor will I let Melanie or the babies..." Obviously she didn't understand Ethan's concern. The woman then poured another drink, and taking a sip. She only stopped when she heard the doorbell ring. The woman debated ignoring it. Flashback The guard looked down at Ethan, ready to call his bluff.....But what happened if this did upset Kessler? The guard wasn't sure if he wanted to upset a man who would rip him apart molecule by molecule. Then Burke walked by. Instantly Kanna shrunk back, eyes on the floor and avoiding any contact with the strange man in tortoise shell glasses....She knew exactly who he was, after all she and Rica spent quite a bit of time in Burke's labs. “Don’t damage the merchandise.” Kanna wrinkled her nose but didn't look up. The soldier gave a little stiff nod (so maybe that kid was right and the higher-ups didn't want her messed with) before uncuffing the girl. Kanna gave a little breath, rubbing her hands, but couldn't catch her breath as she was pulled in front of Ethan by the hair. "You're lucky the bosses seem to like you" the guard told her "That and this new kid wants to stick up for you...You should thank him" That didn't seem to be a suggestion as the man stood over her. Kanna looked away but spoke. "T-Thanks-gah!" The soldier pushed her into Ethan. Kanna stiffened and stepped back, waiting for the man before looking back up. Haven "Jaaaaaccccckkkie!" Jade groaned, rolling her eyes "He's not gonna do anything, anyways you don't have to worry! When we start a family i'll make sure they believe in magic!" Probably not a smart thing to say to your guardian. "Hahaha just kidding of course. Jackie, we're here to get Ben's spirits up a bit...Some stuff happened the last place we were....Don't worry i'm keeping the talismans safe too" Also not a smart thing to say to your guardian. Ragnarok "Gah! I'm really sorry! Shannon isn't usually like this!" Crystal pleaded, Shannon now back at her side licking her bunny lips and eying the man like a steak. And now they were about to be arrested. Great. "Wait! Before you take us away where are we?" she asked |

[Los Angeles] Korina followed after Melanie, and hid behind her as she looked up to see the men at the door. She didn’t like strangers… “Someone from the government.” Rica said, looking over to Melanie. “I don’t recall getting your name, actually.” The boy rubbed his neck. “Oh, uh, sorry… I’m Musashi. I, um, work for the new administration…” He seemed nervous, as if not wanting to divulge his exact connection to the government. (Which we all already know). “Anyway, have you heard about the Haven Project, Jack?” Rica groaned a bit, since Musashi seemed to not get the name thing right. “I saw something about it on TV. Didn’t know the government was going door to door telling people about it.” Musashi chuckled a bit. “Yes, well… like I said, we’re familiar with you all. Haven is supposed to be a safe place for the people of New Marais… assuming we don’t find any dangerous mutant illnesses among the population, they will eventually be allowed to leave the planet if they so choose. But… well, I’ll be blunt.” Musashi suddenly looked a lot more serious. “All of these people now have powers… like you. Only, none of them have any real control over it. All of the records indicate that you guys have had your powers for years… we wanted to offer you all jobs, training people on how to control their powers. In exchange, you’d be given homes on Haven, a fair salary… and the protection Haven offers everyone.” Rica raised an eyebrow, still skeptic. “… Interesting. I’ll run it by the others… but I’m not sure anyone here has any interest in working for the government.” [Ragnarok] The guards were all unhappy now – especially the one with the chewed up leg. “You’re on Haven. Traffic to and from this planet is strictly monitored. You aren’t cleared to land here, and you shouldn’t assault army personnel.” “… Do you even… I AM army personnel! And, um… sorry about the rabbit, but… come on…” Sama frowned. “You broke the law landing here, and you assaulted us.” The guard growled back. “… WE CRASHED! Or are you so stupid you think I PURPOSELY plowed my multi-billion dollar ship into the ground?” Sama crossed his arms. |

-Haven- “I just wish we could help those turned into monsters...” Ben sighed, looking at the Ultimatrix, “Stupid thing not having a revert feature...” “Azmuth is working on upgrading that,” The Doctor commented. Jackie was silent on the other end, choking up at the mention of 'children.' “I would still feel better if you came back home, Jade...Maybe we can meet Ben's parents as well...” Jackie suggested. -Los Angeles- The man grinned. “Congratulations,” the man said, handing Erin a heart shaped sunglasses, which the girl immidiately put on to compliment her dress. “Wanna try again?” he asked, looking towards the stuffed animals in the booth as well. “Yes!” Erin said, handing Jason Solanna, then pulling out some money herself, taking several of the balls, focusing. She tossed them all, staring hard as the breeze rustled a little, the balls beginning to move all around the table, being blown about here and there... After a few moments, they settled...two on red...and one on blue. Erin and the man then stared at other. “...Who are you?” Erin asked, after a moment, “You have my power...” The man paused, considering running for it...but this wasn't something he saw everyday. “My name is Russel...Antoine Russel...” the man answered. Erin was quiet for a second...then suddenly launched herself forward, grabbing the man and hugging him. “Daddy!” Erin yelled. Dun dun dunnnnn. Also Erin is crazy. Ethan stayed with Kanna, not to worried. If it was something bad, he'd have heard Rica killing people by now. He paused though, listening. “...Hmmm...interesting...” he muttered. It would be nice to have an actual job...Ethan had been considering trying to finish his degrees. -Flashback- “It's fine...” Ethan said, blushing slightly as Kanna was forced close to him, reminding himself that she was 16, and he was 21... “Okay then...let's get you something to eat...” Ethan said quietly, frowning slightly. He would talk to Kessler about this...He had to find out what was going on... |

Los Angeles Melanie frowned, looking up at the Japanese boy. "We only just got here, my mom isn't going to want to leave so quickly...Especially when the government is suggesting it" she told him, staying near Korina. But the thought was a tempting one...A place with people like them...Where perhaps they could make some friends- "Would there be people my age?" she asked. [...] "Daddy!" No....Freaking....Way... Jason paled a bit, tightening his hold on Solanna who seemed bored with all of this. If Erin's "dad" was anything like her "brother" he did not want ANYTHING to do with the man. Jason glared forward, clearing his throat. "Your dad?" [...] Kanna went quiet for a moment, listening to the converstation in the other room as she sipped her liqor. Then she proceeded to spit it out as Musashi mentioned picking up and moving once more. "We're not going anywhere!" she exclaimed, deciding to stand up and head out there" Ragnarok Crystal frowned, trying to get in between Sama and the soliders with the guns pointed at them. "Now wait, this is all just a big misunderstanding" she explained with a frown. We didn't mean to land here and Shannon didn't mean to make ground beef out of your leg...Which I can totally heal if you let me" .....This was going to end up getting them all locked away isn't it? Haven "How about you come here!" Jade offered "I could get Ben to call his grandfather and you guys can talk a bit! Anyways it's much safer for you to come here then for me to go there!" Jade hoped her logic was solid. Flashback It took a few minutes for the blush to disappear from Kanna's face, as she and Ethan made their way to the cafeteria. "I told you they're evil...All of them...You should get out while you can..." Kanna rubbed at her wrists and locked up to him. |

The Crazy One

[Los Angeles] “There would be people of all ages. I’m not sure on the exact number, but I think around 2,000 people will be brought to New Marais…” And then, before he could say anything else, there was Kanna and she very quickly shot the idea down. Musashi frowned. This woman immediately frightened him… “Ma’am, if I may just have a few minutes of your time to review our offer, I think you’ll find it more than generous. You and your family would be given a very nice, newly-built fully-furnished home, and a rather sizable paycheck for everyone who helps. And, more importantly, you’ll get the warmth and satisfaction of helping people like yourselves.” ‘sashi, you were better to stick with the free stuff and money as opposed to appealing to Kanna’s humanity. [Ragnarok] Sama was now upset that the soldiers were ignoring his credentials, and the soldiers were (understandably) upset that their boss’s leg had been chewed on by a giant rabbit. “You can… heal me?” The leader paused, raising an eyebrow. “… I… that’s… okay, you heal my leg, and I’ll radio in and let the lieutenant decide what happens to you all.” “Lieutenant!? Did you guys even learn about ranks!? What part of colonel isn’t registering!?” Sama was still upset. |
