(OMFG cute XD) Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay As the two made their way in front of Misato Melanie suddenly became very nervous once more. She took a breath and then spoke. "Uh...Yeah, you said I could join before right? Please may I come? I promise i'll do my best, and I won't be in the way.....I really need to get away from here" |

Tamaran The yeerk ships attempted to fire, and various defense platforms around Tamaran began to fire at the beams themselves, attempting to intercept and destroy them with starbolt beams. Tamaranians flying in space, without ships, engaged the yeerk fighters, and others attempted to directly land on the yeerk ships and rip them open right then and there. Attempted to, at least. A few large Tamaranian crusiers attempted to engage the yeerk ships, but it was the tamaranian "fliers" that played more into their strategy. Galactic Forum-hangar bay Misato shook her head, and spoke. "It's good you want to join up..." she said to Melanie. "...but I'm not going to a NERV base. I'm going on another assignment. To a regular military vessel. And I'm pretty sure that its CO wouldn't be favorable to your presence. But...you could probably stay with what men we are leaving here. I mean, we aren't completely evacuating the Forum." She sighed, still wondering where Rei was. Earth On Earth, the Republic's legislature had been assembled. President Riley slowly approached the podium where he would address them. He stood, faced outward, being watched by cameras, guards, and many senators, representatives, and citizens, and spoke. "My fellow humans..." he began. "...shortly after our first contact with an alien race, we were at war. We became part of a galactic community, through war. We proved that our valor, so much of it untested for so long, was still very much intact. We were picked as targets of malevolent or misguided will, and the first alien races we met sought to subjugate us." Galactic Forum-U.T.R. embassy President Riley's speech was being viewed by some diplomats on the Forum- "Now, another alien race seeks our subjugation. By now it is common knowledge that the yeerks had a pool established on one of our own fringe colonies. They had abducted Terran Republic citizens, possessed them in their twisted fashion, and were likely plotting larger-scale infiltration operations deeper and deeper into the Republic and the very human race itself. Like our first encounter with an alien race, we did not ask for it. Like our first encounter with an alien race, we did nothing to provoke them. We did nothing to make enemies of them. We did nothing to bring their anger or their hostility to bear against us, but still it came." U.T.R. base-Mobius At a Republic base on Mobius, the speech was also being broadcast- "We showed our valor in our war against the black arms and the mobains, defeating both in a decisive, indeed total, victory over them that stunned the rest of the galaxy. We in a year vanquished a galactic menace the rest of the galaxy had not been able to vanquish in centuries. We showed the galaxy that humanity WILL NOT yield to the whims of oppressors, that humanity WILL NOT tolerate senseless and unprovoked hostility, and that humanity WILL NOT break when assailed! We showed our valor, and have also since then done so, and we showed our strength!" Nourasia Indeed, even on Nourasia, a few nourasian families were to be watching or listening to a Terran Republic news station, where the speech continued: "I have called you all here, now, to ask your approval, and to ask for your commitment. The black arms rose against us, and we met and DESTROYED them. The mobains sought to destroy us, and we SUBDUED them! Now, another alien race seeks to subdue us, another galactic menace like the black arms, power-hungry and malicious in nature, seeks our destruction-the yeerk empire. We have tried to be peaceful with them, but their actions towards us-and the rest of the galaxy, for even as I speak before you, Tamaran is under siege by their forces-have shown that they have no interest in peace or harmony. They are only interested in our subjugation or destruction at their hands!" T.R.S. Florence The speech was being watched aboard the Florence, or broadcast over its intercom systems, and Cosmo, in addition to the crew, would definitely be hearing it: "We have been mobilizing for war and keeping our military on alert for this purpose. We have put down one galactic menace before-the black arms-and even recently, we have helped liberate another race from the grasp of tyranny, with Nourasia's recent liberation." Earth President Riley finally concluded his speech. "Now, let us rise to the call to arms yet again! Members of the legislative branch of this great Republic, my fellow humans and servants of humanity, for both our sake, and the sake of the rest of the galaxy, let us rise up! I here and now am asking for a declaration of war against the yeerk empire, to be passed immediately." Riley's speech concluded, the vote commenced... (In case anyone wonders, the speech was widely broadcast, so pretty much any character would be aware of it, or at least its aim.) |

-Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay- Galv’s face fell, and he gripped Melanie’s hand tighter. “Are you sure?” he asked, “She can just stay with me…” Galv was, after all, not all that older then Melanie, and about the same height, I think. Galv’s about five feet tall. -Tamarian- The Yeerk Ships, even the Bug Fighters, were equipped with shields, helping to fend off the Tamarian fighters. <Fry them!> Visser Three roared, <Set the Pool Ship Dracon Cannons to wide dispersal! They won’t be able to dodge that!> The One Pool Ship continued firing on the cities, while a second aimed for the Cruisers. The other two brought their cannons unto the flying Tamarians attacking the Bug Fighters. They fired, a continuous stream, wide dispersal. This meant it wouldn’t kill them, no. But it would be incredibly painful, and difficult to dodge. Basically it would start to slowly fry them. The Bug Fighters remained unaffected, their shields able to take the lower power of a wide dispersal. At least, longer then the unshielded Tamarians could. And the Blade Ship, pride of Visser Three, had yet to enter the fight… -Andalite Home World: Andalite Quorum- As President Riley finished his speech, the Andalites fell into debates. They argued they should accept the human’s help. They argued that they should just let the humans do what they want. A majority though, brought forth just why they were fighting the Yeerks. <It is our duty to fight the Yeerks. Not these humans. We have been fighting them for generations now! If we accept help from the humans, they will demand help from us! We can not forget the lessons of Seerow’s Kindness> One Andalite declared, <These humans are already a formidable force. They could easily become the next oppressors!> There was a large murmur of agreement amongst the forum. This was their sacred duty to fight the Yeerks! <Hold on now…> a younger member said, speaking up, <We Andalites and Humans have much in common…Perhaps we can work together to help wipe out the Yeerks once and for all, and look to peace.> <Or…> another said, <Perhaps we can find middle ground…Allow the Humans to get back there’s that have been taken, and then make sure they leave the rest of the fight for us…> The debate continued… -Galactic Forum: Andalite Embassy- <What are we going to do?> Ax wondered, having listened to the speech with his older brother. <I, for one, welcome the Humans help…> Elfangor answered. Ax glanced to him with a stalk eye. <Humans are an interesting species. I know…> He paused, then continued, <As for what the official policy will be, I can not be sure. I would wager on a resistance to Human interference…Even if our Quorum gives a go ahead, it will be a slim one, and the High Command are mostly, to borrow a term from you ‘old tails.’ They will not like working with Humans, no matter the circumstance…> Elfangor once more paused, contemplating, <I think…in the end, the Andalites will demand that the Humans do not enter into a full scale war…They will allow them to retrieve the Humans that were taken, but nothing else…> |

Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay- Melanie frowned suddenlly feeling very worried. It was good that she would be allowed to stay, but it wouldn't be the same, sure she wouldn't be totally alone at the NERV base, but she might as well be. She then felt Galv's grip tighten on her hand, she looked down, a pink tinge to her cheeks. "Please, I won't be any trouble, I promise." she added quietly (Yeah, Mel's about 5 foot...Haha Galv's as tall as a 13 year old girl XD) Nourasia Slowly the festivities at the Nourasain capital were dying down, many of the guests were either getting ready to leave for their home planets, or settling into quarters that were prepared for them at the royal palace. It was a nice night and Aikka and Nori were passing through each ship's hub, saying many words of thanks and farewell. Though Aikka was truely gratefull he couldn't help but to be worried about getting back to the Fourm. Afterall he did want to see Molly again...He sighed wondering how many more groups there were to say goodbye to. He looked to his mother, who was following him faithfully. "Ummm mother....How would you feel if I were to head back to the Fourm for a short time?" Nori looked to him, a smile on her slightly confused face. "Why would you need to my darling?" Aikka looked up, his eyes focusing on the stary sky "Well I left rather fast-" "If you left some of your possesions we can send for them" Aikka shook his head "No I didn't leave anything, but I did leave someone without telling them, I fear she may be angry" Aikka looked to his mother but instantly regreated it, the second he did he noticed a one of those motherly grins that always made him go red in the face. "Ooooooh I understand" Nori said happily "A girl?" "Uhhhhh" "Say no more my Aikka. If you wish to leave I cannot stop you. Just be safe" "...Of course" Aikka stated, still a bit embarased. He opened his mouth to speak again but a Nourasain guard interupted him. "My lord" the man said, bowing low to the ground. There is something being projected that you may wish to see" He was of course refering to the speech that was being broadcast around the world. Aikka and Nori looked to eachother, Nori finally speaking. "I will continue this, you go and see what you need to. Just come back before you leave my son." "Of course" Aikka stated before following the guard. T.R.S. Florence Cosmo found herself listening to the broadcast like the many men around her. Though she was not very good at English she was able to understand a good deal of it. "Who are they speaking about?" Cosmo asked softly, fearing the worst. Where there more people out there like Dark Oak? Galactic Fourm- Resturant Like many of the others in the Fourm Don Wei, Eva, Rick, and Jordan found themselves watching the broadcast as they sat down to their meal. Eva fidled around with her napkin as the entire resturant had their attention on several conviently placed televisions. "What does this mean" she found herself whispering to the group, afterall they had a lot of experience with hostile aleins back on Alwas and Oban... |

I'll bite your legs off!

Galactic Forum-hangar bays Misato shook her head, before addressing Melanie. "I'm sorry..." she said. "...but I'm pretty sure the commander of the ship we're heading off to wouldn't like the sight of you hanging around with us. He'd report it, and...then, all sorts of complications would come up. Now Galv, get in...and let's hope Rei shows up soon...this just isn't her style, to be late like this." Earth The votes were in. By over an 80% margin, the legislature had made it official: The United Terran Republic had now officially declared war on the Yeerk Empire. Already, plans that were being drawn up months ago were being put into action... ...and with live yeerks already analyzed and being observed in a habitat, the Republic was armed with good information, as well as its conventional military might, the full force of which was again being "woken"...indeed, across the Republic, full-scale mobilization for a full-scale war would be put into effect, industry would be working, etc. The Republic had been roused. T.R.S. Crusader From the war room aboard the Crusader, Didymus had watched the broadcast. "So, it's official." he said. "We're at war." He then noticed that he had recieved some more transmissions-things about NERV. Tamaran The tamarainians were indeed troubled by the newer yeerk tactics...they closed the distance as quickly as they could with their adversaries...both bug fighter and tamarianian flyer were dropping (or melting, exploding, or any given form of passing in a messy battle) at a slow but steady pace...and many tamarainians flew bravely, even heedlessly (as much as it would indeed hurt them) into the yeerk fire. As many as possible tried to close with the yeerk pool ships at point-blank range and rip their cannons off (namely the one that was bombarding Tamaran itself). They would work in teams, or what have you, doing what they could to stop the bombardment. Otherwise, numerous defense platforms themselves fired to intercept the bombardment, and a few fired repeating starbolt cannons into the fighter mix. A few teams of flyers tried to tie up the bug fighters, but they were recieving the worst of the yeerk fire and were losing, more or less. The tameranian cruisers were simply squaring off with the pool ships, trying to draw them away so that they could be picked apart easier...for now, the battle was at a single general area over Tamaran (isn't it?), and splitting the yeerk fleet would allow their platforms to shift from support to more...direct...roles. somewhere in the Republic outer colonies Thara. A colony in the U.T.R. with a relatively low population, as the planet itself was mostly ash, and flame. Magma, lava, and volcanoes had almost free reign, one might say, over its surface, excepting for the colder northern and southern poles, around which most of the regular cities were. However, the better part of the planet was a gold mine, or, rather, an energy deposit. The constant volcanic activity and extreme amounts of heat allowed for considerable amounts of thermal energy to be extracted, and various gasses that could also be used for energy were constantly found/being generated, even. However, reactors which did not require such things were usually used as power/energy sources, and as such, the energy harvesting operations on Thara were more or less scarce. Although numerous energy collectors and corporations did operate on Thara, none too much. Other than a limited energy enterprise, Thara's volcanic wastelands had little value. Or did they? Somewhere on Thara, in the midst of the volcanic regions, was a massive, yet hidden complex. It contained shield generators, barracks, training centers, hangars and motor pools, and more...like labs and containment cells. And the terrain around it was ideal for preventing escapes, unless one got a ship. And there had indeed been numerous escapes from that facility. Above Thara, a battle group from the Republic's Fourth Fleet was entering orbit. Aboard various ships in said battle group, soldiers were preparing for a planetside operation. (GS, Raynor would be among them, if he came along in a Republic ship. You know what this is, right? :D) T.R.S. Florence The man leading Cosmo, opening a door to a small but spare room (usually reserved for recovering military wounded, so there were many bunks, but there were no patients in this one, the battle with the crog had had few casualties, and those that the Florence had recieved were bunked in another room), responded to Cosmo's query. "That? Oh...that broadcast is about...a war, it seems. They're talking about the yeerks. Nasty things, an empire bent on conquest and a race of body-stealing slugs...you can find out more about them later...anyway, I know this room may look lonely, but pick a bed, and I'll be back in a moment with some food." he said. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay- Galv paused, thinking…Melanie needed to come with him! She had to… “What would be the problem though?” Galv wondered, “I’m not an adult either…Couldn’t we just say that Melanie is my partner?” He looked hopeful…He didn’t want to leave Melanie behind. “Please Misato…If she stays here, then…” Galv waivered, not entirely sure how to end that sentence… -Tamaria- <The fools…> Visser Three sneered, <They are strong though, they will make excellent hosts…> As the Tamarians attempted to get to the Dracon Cannons on the Pool Ships, they would have trouble, first getting through the shields, then having to deal with close range blasts. “Sir…Perhaps we should call in reinforcements? Visser Five has his ships in Z-Space, ready to drop in if needed…” one of the human Controllers wondered. Visser Three’s Andalite tail twitched, <No…Bring the Blade Ship into firing range…Time to show them why this ship is reserved for Vissers.> The Blade Ship was smaller then a Pool Ship, but it was deadlier. It bristled with more weapons, and was much more maneuverable. Pool Ships were built like floating fortresses as well, proving them difficult to handle even if they were separated from each other. “All Dracon Cannons online and fully charged!” another Controller shouted as the twisted black ship moved to the battle. <Open fire on their Cruisers! Order all Bug Fighters out of range. All four Pool Ships, combine your fire to their Cruisers as well. Bug Fighters, take a guarding stance around the Blade Ship and Pool Ships, and pick off any single Tamarians coming at us!> Visser Three roared, clenching his fists. Visser Three, despite his arrogance, was a brilliant tactician. Even before he rose through the ranks by acquiring an Andalite body, he had been a very renowned Sub-Visser for his tactics against the Andalites. Popping out of Z-Space, at the end of the solar system, an Andalite Dome Ship floated through space… They detected the Yeerks, but knew it was foolish to engage in combat with only a single Dome Ship…Not against four Pool Ships and a Blade Ship. |

Tamaran Tamarainian fliers maintained the same strategy they were already employing: attempting to land on a ship, attack it from point-blank range, and otherwise try to rip it open. Teams of their fliers would also try to distract bug fighters, and/or lure them into the range of Tamaran's orbital platforms, which would be either firing rapid-fire starbolts at them, or heavier starbolt energy at intervals at the yeerk heavier ships. However, Tamarainan cruisers were not built for battle per say. Their crews were their main weapons, and cruisers themselves were simply means of transit. They did not stand up well to attack. In fact, as some crusiers took hits, they tried to fly straight into the yeerk cruisers, intent on ramming them! Galactic Forum-hangar bay Misato sighed again, and finally spoke what she hoped would settle the matter with Galv and Melanie here. "Look..." she said. "...we're going to the Crusader, flagship of colonel Didymus. He may or may not know about the Narrohs, and I'm confident he wouldn't take kindly to Melanie being with us. That could cause all sorts of trouble. But if she really can't stay here...than I may be able to arrange a flight to Thara for her...how does that sound?" she asked. |

-Tamaran- <Pool Ships, evasive actions!> Visser Three ordered. The Pool Ships moved, taking various directions to avoid the ramming cruisers. <Disable those cruisers! Bug Fighters, take down those flyers!> Visser Three continued, <Blade Ship, do the same! And have we gotten any contact from Visser Four?> Meanwhile, down on the planet, Visser Four was watching the destruction being wrought, taking care to stay low and hidden. She grinned, and held up her hands. Green energy glowed from them. The element of surprise…And this body was strong…So very strong… She flew to the castle…Time to see if maybe this would work… -Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay- “Oh…” Galv said, looking at the ground, “Would we be going to Thara soon then?” Galv was worried about Melanie…He didn’t want to leave her for long. |

"The guy that Jason was talking to...." Melanie noticed quietly, remembering when they first arrived. She didn't know what the two had discussed but she did recognize the same...After all it wasn't a very common one. Then Misato mentioned sending her somewhere else, she shifted nervously. She wasn't sure how she felt about it but she wasn't one to protest such decisions, afterall she was raised in her family and she rarely had a say about anything. She looked to Galv, wondering how he would take the idea. T.R.S. Florence They're talking about the yeerks. Nasty things, an empire bent on conquest and a race of body-stealing slugs...you can find out more about them later... Cosmo shuttered, not really wanting to know more. Such subjects were a bit dark for an eight year old, wven if she had been through much. She followed the man into room and looked around. It was full of beds, though each empty. She thought for a moment before taking a the one closest to the door and pulling herself onto it. It was soft and warm....But it wasn't home. She frowned. |

-Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay- Galv looked nervous and worried, glancing over at Melanie. He really didn’t want to leave her alone. He even hadn’t gotten to help train her or anything. “How long until we come to Thara?” Galv wondered, shifting nervously on his feet, still clutching Melanie’s hand tightly. “Will my mission be long?” -Andalite Embassy- <War-Prince Elfangor-Sirinial-Shamtul> an older Andalite said, watching Elfangor from a screen <Our quorum has come to a decision dealing with the Humans. You are to deliver it to their Embassy on the Galactic Forum.> <Is there no chance I may be able to give my thoughts on this matter?> Elfangor wondered. He was in charge of most anti-Yeerk activities. <No…High Command has also taken a similar stance…This war on the Yeerks is our responsibility. If the Humans attack them, they should expect no help from us. We are willing to let them chase down their captured people, wherever that may be, but otherwise they are to get no help from us. We expect no help from them, likewise.> The other Andalite signed off, and Elfangor sighed mentally. <This foolish war…It really is tiresome brother> Elfangor said to Aximili. <We are so close to ending it, and yet, so far…> With that, Elfangor headed off to the U.T.R. Embassy on the Galactic Forum… |

Galactic Fourm -Streets Two figures rushed down the streets, intent on finding Melanie as fast as humanly possible. After the third time running away both Kanna and Jason felt their patience strained. They weren't used to this...Jason sighed as the two turned a corner. Grabbing his's mother's arm he stopped to catch his breath. "What are you doing?" Kanna demanded harshly, her eyes thin and expression grim. Jason took a few breaths before responding. "I need to breath you know" he responded crossly hands on his knees and looking to the ground. Kanna raised an eyebrow--she felt fine. Jason looked back to her "And we need to think" "Of?" "What we're going to do. I don't think we can waltz in like before." He stood fully running a hand through his messy black hair. "And what if she isn't even there" "Where else would she be?" Kanna demanded. Jason shrugged. "I dunno, but if she isn't there it's stupid to cause a scene--and I know you will" "I have every right to" Kanna retorted bluntly "Even if she isn't with them she has intent to be. She'll follow that boy like some sort of lost puppy" The two stood in silence for a moment and Jason stood straight again, his breath returned to him. He looked to Kanna. "Maybe I should just go" "WHAT?" Kanna exclaimed. Jason sweatdropped. "Calm down! It's just that after what happened earlier...I don't think it's a great idea for you to go in." Kanna passed her son and as she did so she spoke "It isn't your place to tell me what to do. You are my son. Act like it." And with that they were both running once more. Galactic Forum: Hangar Bay Melanie was getting more nervous by the second as she and Galv stood in front of Misato. Truthfully she didn't really know what or where Thara was but she knew she would be surrounded by people she didn't know. She looked down at her hand, clasped tightly in his...It was stange she had known him for just a few days but she didn't want to be around anyone else. Melanie couldn't help but to blush slightly. Nourasia Aikka followed his attendant to a room, watching the screen with much intrest....So another war? Of course he would offer his men if needed...Though he couldn't say he knew much about either side of the fight. He still had a lot to learn about being king. |

Galactic Forum-hangar bay Though Melanie was feeling rather timid she couldn't help but to be annoyed my Misato's statement. She sounded.....Well she sounded like her mother! Apparently like Kanna NERV didn't want her to be seen either. "What does it matter that i'm with you all, it's my choice isn't it?! I'm old enough to decide afterall!!!" Galactic Forum-hangar bay Misato grinned, and wondered just how much of her mother was in Melanie, before speaking. "Listen...if you want to join, you're welcome...but if truly want to join us, you have to be ready to follow orders, and trust us on matters like this." she said. "If they saw you, with us, so soon...they'd try to stop you from joining. They'd try to keep you away from NERV and use the incident as another excuse to try to shut us down." she said. Galactic Forum-mobian embassy A resolute look in her eyes, Sally had finally come to a decision. The Acorn's Tree was being readied, and she was already packed. She was returning to Mobius personally. She stepped out, walking with a group of bodyguards, on her way to another hangar/dock. T.R.S. Florence In a short amount of time, a small meal was brought in for Cosmo; some fruit, bread, and a little meat. The room itself was serene, and there was a window which provided a good view of other ships in the Republic Third Fleet, and a view of Nourasia, which the fleet was still in orbit over. Cosmo's "caretaker" asked her a quick question. "Nice and comfortable?" |

Galactic Forum-hangar bay Melanie looked up, expecting to get chastized for her outburst, but when none came she let out a small breath. Misato did have a point, she had to trust their decisions, afterall Galv promised she would be safe right? Perhaps she was just worrying too much, she would be fine.... Or at least she would convince herself that... "A-Allright..." She finally said, not entirely sure but willing to trust them. She looked to Galv, giving a small smile and squeezing his hand. "I'll be fine until you guys come back, you don't have to worry! Just have a good trip okay?" T.R.S. Florence Cosmo looked up from her spot noticing another man coming in with a tray of strange and foreign foods. As he sat it down she looked them over, blue eyes coming across a piece of sweet smelling fruit. Her stomach rumbled and quickly she picked it up placing it in her mouth and chewing slowly. She had to admit whatever it was was pretty good.... "Nice and comfortable?" "Uh...I supose" she answered shyly after swallowing her meal. She looked out the nearby window. "Thank you for your hospitality....But...I still have a job to do...My mother....And sister...They are depending on me..." She turned her eyes catching another piece of food...A piece of meat. She looked at it strangely curiousity getting the best of her. "What is that?" she asked pointing to it. |
