Galactic Forum-NERV barracks The marine officer spoke again. "Alright, so, Narrohs, if you would follow these men, who will escort you back to your residence, please, and Sama, if you would go with the corporal here, we'll get to searching this area." With that, and as talking died down, heat scanners, (detecting temperatures overall, if a shape contrasts with the temperature around it, they've basically found a life form), and even sonar-style sonic detectors were set up, and a search began. Galactic Forum-mobian embassy Sally was standing in a small room with a holoprojector in its center, with seats surrounding it. The holoprojector was projecting an image of Mobius, and there were several areas on it highlighted. Sally spoke. "How bad is it, Nicole?" she asked. A computerized voice sounded out from the various speakers in the room she was in. "Several reports of protesters clashing with the royal army have been confirmed." said that voice. "Although the details of the incident are still unclear, the Hedgehog supporters are insisting that the army has shot several "non-violent" protesters. Given the ferocity of the protests, proven by the fact that we have had to deploy royal army to maintain some semblance of order, the protesters were not likely as non-violent as their friends claim. The disturbances are in Mobotropolis, Lower Mobius, and the Golden Hive. Mobotropolis, however, has been stablized for the time being, while anti-Acorn sentiment in among the more insect-like of our people is threatening to plunge the entirety of the lands claimed by House Bee into total anarchy, if not open revolt." Sally sighed deeply. "There is one other thing." Nicole continued. "Acorn's Secret Service has been accused of abducting Sonia Hedgehog, who has been confirmed to have gone missing. Sonic the Hedgehog has returned to Mobius, likely in search of here." A frown, and angry frown came upon Sally's face, and she spoke in an unusually harsh tone. "Get Geoffrey St. John on the line, now. I wish to...have a word with him." she said. |

-NERV Barracks- “I wish you could stay too…I never really had a friend before…Not really one my age, at least…” Galv sighed, “But don’t worry…we’ll meet again some day. One day we’ll both be adults, right? Able to make our own decisions.” Ben/Big Chill was being locked unto…Could he talk his way out, as a Plumber and the wielder of the Omntrix? Most likely not. The Omnitrix was considered a legend, not real, by most governments. Besides, he couldn’t be sure they might not want to try and take it from him…Though it was bonded to his very DNA. But still…If he didn’t show himself, they would get suspicious, and start searching the Forum. And possibly come across the T.A.R.D.I.S. in a storage area… With a flash of green light, Ben appeared, holding his arms up, along with a Plumber’s Badge. The Plumbers themselves were something of an unknown entity as well… “My name is Ben Tennyson. I’m a Plumber, an organization that’s not affiliated with any species, run by The Doctor,” Ben said to the U.T.R. soldiers, “I don’t mean any trouble…The Doctor just wanted me here to make sure no one got hurt.” He wasn’t sure how the story would go, but it was the truth. |

NERV barracks The soldiers raised their weapons at Ben, but after his little introduction, they just scoffed. "That guy..." one muttered. "...always sticking his nose in everyone's busniess. Hang on." A few seconds later, as he was communicating the event to Didymus, who was in turn indeed speaking with a general, and the soldier spoke again. "Kid, just go on. Get outta here. And stop trespassing." he said. It was true that it seemed that it was not a human that they first picked up, but even with that in mind, they decided not to bother with Ben, regardless of his breaching the barracks NERV was assigned to and regardless of the idea of the "omnimatrix". |

-NERV Barracks- Ben sighed. Of course they weren’t taking him seriously. He was a fifteen year old teenager. Why should they? “I’m going…” Ben said, walking off. Once he was out, he pulled out his badge, and pressed a button, speaking into it. “Doctor…U.T.R. soldiers spotted me in NERV. Didn’t give me any trouble…Let me off with a warning,” Ben said, talking to the Time Lord, “Should I head back to the T.A.R.D.I.S.?” “No…Stay as close as possible. Don’t go out of your way unless you deem it necessary,” The Doctor replied, “I just finished talking with another Plumber. I’m heading over to speak to another…I might be a while though…” Ben nodded, and turned off his communicator. -Somewhere on the Forum- The Doctor placed his Plumber’s Badge away, then ducked through a door. “Good…you’re hear…” a graspy voice said, “I don’t have long…” “Not a problem,” The Doctor said, looking the other Plumber up and down, “I see you have a new host body.” “Indeed…I was promoted,” the Hork-Bajir/Yeerk said, “How goes everything?” “Well…to be honest, not good. Something’s coming. Something big. How about the Yeerk Rebellion?” “Better, now that you’ve shown some of us that there’s a better way then infesting sentient beings…It pains me that I must keep this fellow creature under my control. If only we Yeerks could see, hear, and these other wonderful senses for ourselves…” the Yeerk in the Hork-Bajir said, “But we have to be careful about who we recruit…Only one other aboard the Blade Ship is a member, so it has been trying.” “You’re doing good. That’s why I made you a Plumber,” The Doctor smiled, patting the bladed creature. “Have you had any luck securing a morphing cube?” the Yeerk inquired. “Not yet…The Andalites keep a very secure grip on them. Asimov is working on a few things as well,” The Doctor replied, “I wish I could help more right now.” “It is alright…” the Yeerk sighed, “Goodbye for now then, friend.” The Doctor nodded, then headed back out carefully, and moved along. One last Plumber to see… -Mobius: Angel Island- Sonic the Hedgehog stood on Angel Island, frowning, and tapping his foot impatiently. “Now then…where exactly was that Emerald again? Knucks could always be found around that…I’ll need his help…Finding things isn’t exactly my style…More like wrecking bad guys and speeding through things…” (GS?) |

Galactic Forum-NERV barracks "Ben?" Melanie said as the boymade himself visable. She wondered what he was doing here too but did not have a chance to question it. Quickly her mother began pulling her towards the exit, folowing the men in uniform. Melanie looked back at the barracks sadly before looking to her mother and brother. The one time they had to agree on something....Ugh! |

Galactic Forum-NERV barracks As some marines led the Narrohs away to their residence, and Ben walked out, again, the corporal Sama was supposed to follow spoke up. "Sama, please. The colonel was supposed to be sleeping, but this came up, and he's shipping out tonight. Let's not keep him waiting. Come with me." he said. Mobius-Angel Island (Regardless of what we do with this...Spork knows what I'm talking about. And I'll take this, Knux isn't likely to become a major character.) Angel Island was the center of House Echidna. Although House Echidna claimed numerous colonies in mobian space as its own (or at least under its protection), the city on Angel Island was their cultural and political capital. However, though they took what limited autonomy that was granted to them under House Acorn and used it quite a bit, House Echidna was still a fairly loyal house, being rooted as it was in tradition and even a sense of honor. Knuckles did indeed step forward into Sonic's view, and spoke. "Sonic..." he said. "...what brings you to Angel Island?" Knuckles spoke with caution. With all the turmoil gripping Mobius as they spoke, and Sonic's family house being at its center, he Knuckles was wary. |

NERV Barracks Sama shrugged and followed the soldier. "Fine... it seems like the Narroh's will be alright. Let's go, then." Sama didn't trust NERV to keep their word, but with the UTR involved, at least it would take NERV some time before they could act overtly. He'd have to remember to check up on this situation later. "Let's go see the Colonel, then." (...) |

Galactic Forum-U.T.R. military embassy The soldier escorted Sama to the military embassy, and, in fact, to Didymus's office. With a knock, and, slightly later, an "enter" from inside, the door opened, and there stood Didymus, clad in his own set of infantry powered armor, with the helmet on his desk. "Sama." he said, regarding him. "Thank you, corporal. You may return to your unit." "Sir." said the corporal, and was off. Didymus shook his head at Sama. "You, old friend, are...what can I even say? I ship off to war tonight, but you just had to give me a send-off like this, didn't you?" he asked, grinning. (GS, do you want Knux? You can have him if you'd like.) |

U.T.R. Military Embassy Sama shrugged casually. "Remind you of old times?" Sama raised an eyebrow. Rules never had meant much to Sama, whether it was wearing a uniform in the UTR or not breaking into highly secretive barracks. Granted, some things were more important than others. "NERV's up to something. Whatever it is, it's not ethical, and probably not legal either. Kidnapping kids is just the tip of the iceberg, if you ask me." He paused. "You know, I knew someone who was a part of NERV once... I heard stories so horrible..." He trailed off and shook his head. (I was under the impression that he was already mine... but the conversation I'm thinking of was a while ago, so perhaps it was talking about a different RP, or maybe I just took so long getting back into this that I lost my chance. ^_^; It's all good, no worries.) |

Galactic Fourm-Didymus's office "I agree." Didymus said. "NERV is indeed up to something. You know Sama, I think you and I have a lot of similar aims and such, just our methods are different. I'm just a lot more by-the-book than you are. I won't ask you to elaborate on your own past experiences with NERV, but you were there for mine. You remember the Battle of Echnidopolis? Back in the war? That large mobian colony that we had to take before pushing on to Mobius itself?" he asked. One may be able to tell that there was much on his mind. (You don't need to say yes or no, or what have you, Sama, but regardless, a chance to get a little background fleshed out. And as for Knuckles, he's your character in OMaB (along with Sonic and Eggman), but I don't think anyone tried for him here. Again, if you want him here, sure, take him, but either way.) |

Didymus's Office Sama dropped his gaze. Didymus had brought up the war, and as usual when those memories were blazing through his mind, Sama felt a cold chill in his blood. "... I can't forget a single moment of the war, my friend, no matter how hard I might try." He replied silently. As he'd stated to Katsuragi before, he detested the idea of killing anyone... but he had become very, very good at it. A fact that could never escape him. (Background is good. As for Knuckles, what I meant was I thought he'd been offered to me in this one via PM once, but that's not important. I think I've just asked you for enough favors. :p)

Narroh Residence "House arrest Melanie, i'm being held up in my own home by these idiots because you cannot listen to me! What are you thinking child, why all of a sudden do you think you can do whatever you please?! Who do you think you are?!" As soon as the Narroh's made it back to their home Kanna had basically exploded. A mixture of frustration that Kanna had not been able to guarentee that NERV would leave them alone, and the fact that for the second time that nigh Melanie ran away had finally hit the woman and now she was taking her anger out on her youngest. Melanie sat in the same spot as before, still clad in the same nightgown, staring up at her fuming mother. The only differance was that she was clutching a pair of sunglasses tightly in her hands. Like earlier that night Jason was standing nearby, keeping his eyes on the situation. "I can't even trust you anymore Melanie!" Kanna continued harshly, not really caring if the marines that had guided them here heard. "Stupid!" she continued "How could you be so stupid!" Melanie continued to sit still and listen to her mother. Dejavu all over again....Soon enough Kanna had began scolding in a strange mixture of French and English and Melanie sighed. She couldn't keep up when her mother was like this. From the sidelines Jason even looked confused. Finally Melanie looked as if she had enough. In a bold movement the girl stood up, looking up at her mother. "Mom stop" she demanded. Kanna paused and narrowed her eyes. Melanie couldn't help but to shift uncomfotably" |

Didymus's office "Well, then, you may recall..." Didymus said. "We found some...intriguing things in the campaign against the mobians, and when I refused to hand them over to NERV, they gave me a bad intel brief on that battle. During the "Siege of Echindopolis", as it's called now, they told me of a way into the main city, and, for that matter, various paths and deployments around the planet that, if pursued and carried out, they said, would allow us to flank and generally outmaneuver the mobain troops across that planet and crush them. Take the cities and all of that. I considered the source, but it was too good to pass up, so you may remember that I sent some scouting detachments planetside that had volunteered and were briefed on the danger, to check the validity of the intel. I don't remember if you volunteered to go or not, but as you recall, the NERV-provided intel report was false. All of it. The scouting detachments walked into massive ambushes that could have repelled full assault forces, and sustained 95 percent casualties before we were finally able to extract them. NERV had it in for me. That's part of why I was cranky and even weepy the next day. I was saddened over how the scouting mission went-even though the intel they provided on mobian positions made orbital bombardment very effective-but also what its results meant. I found some information they didn't want me to find, so they tried to ruin me, by making me make a horrific error that would destroy my military service record and, quite possibly, cost me my command and my credibility in military affairs." He paused, letting the memory and shared info set in. "But you know the worst part of that?" he said. "I was their target, but they were trying to set me up. They weren't attacking me directly. No, to attack me, they were willing to have the men I commanded in battle butchered and cut down like wheat in harvest. They wanted to get at me, and they were willing to engineer the butchering of thousands, millions, even-as taking a planet is a massive endeavor, even if it is accomplished rather quickly in this day and age-millions of our own troops, just to get at me." "And who delivered that report?" he asked. "None other than the "lovely" miss Katsuragi. So as you now know, she and I have a bit of a history. Anyway...fact is, Sama, you still broke into a secure area, under my jurisdiction. I'm afraid that under ordinary circumstances, I'd be obligated to arrest you. However...considering the current circumstances, and what your little stunt allowed us to see, some of my superiors have decided that we'll let you off easy." he said. "But allow me to ask you, please, knock it off. Forgetting your hat once and a while is one thing, but a criminal offense is another. Look, we are NOT indifferent to NERV, but we're trying to nail them without illegal activity. I mean, I was supposed to be sleeping now, in preparation for a coming battle. To pull your little stunt off tonight was just plain rude." he said that last part jokingly, and grinned. |

Didymus's Office Sama listened while Didymus told the story, though his eyes closed at certain parts of it. He did indeed know of the incident Didymus was speaking of. "I remember that incident. I was on one of those scout teams... I saw what happened that day... and you know, I'm sorry you were in that position." He shook his head. His old friend had lost a lot to NERV... and as Didymus concluded with his joke, Sama decided he was going to tell him. "... As horrific as that day was, my friend... it's not the worst that NERV's ever done. I can't stop my investigation of NERV. I admit, what I did tonight was careless -- but I needed inside, and I saw a chance to help a family that was a victim of NERV." He paused. "Twenty years ago, there was a small Weapons R&D Facility called 'Shadow Moses'. It was on a moon in one of the outer most UTR Colonies. Dangerous territory... The facility was set up to produce a new wave of Mecha Battle Machines. A scientists named Gast was in charge. It was just Gast, his research assistant, Hojo and a battalion of soldiers to protect the facility." "This was back before the downfall of the Space Pirate, Ridley... back then, a lot of small facilities were wiped out easily. This one had pretty heavy guard -- lots of extra soldiers. Anyway, one day, their supply ship landed, and they were attacked by the soldiers guarding the base. The person who radioed in the distress call said the soldiers were like wild animals, void of any human conscious." Sama paused. "The UTR sent out a special forces unit. They got there, and all but the rookie on the unit were killed within five minutes. That rookie survived, and eventually he discovered the truth -- Gast had been embezzling the money the UTR gave him to build Mechs, and instead he used it on Genetic Experiments." "For subjects... he used the soldiers sent to guard them. The experiments killed some of them, but most of them just became insane and violent. The rookie managed to find Gast's assistant, Hojo... Hojo helped him find Gast, who had locked himself in his research lab. There was a struggle, and in the end, Gast was killed. Hojo claimed his notes were gone. That rookie... went on to become Solid Snake, the living legend of the UTR." Sama's voice darkened. "You probably knew all that, already... what you don't know, what very few people alive do... is what happened next. Hojo, as it turns out, was lying. Gast hadn't been the one doing genetic experiments -- they were Hojo's idea. He'd even experimented on Gast, driving him mad. Worst of all, Hojo kept all the notes... and he went to work for NERV." Sama shook his head. "I don't know what Hojo's working on for NERV, but here's a guy who used the soldiers protecting him -- and his own mentor -- as lab rats. It can't be good." "Now, I told you that story... so I could tell you this. I'm not a bounty hunter. I work for a organization called Philanthropy. It's a group trying to prevent genocide, the spread of super weapons, and genetic experiments like the ones Hojo did, and is probably still doing for NERV. My orders were to get information on NERV... while I was helping the Narroh family, I was able to unleash some Nanomachines inside NERV's building." The young agent of Philanthropy looked to his old friend. "The nanomachines are virtually undetectable. They'll be able to assimilate themselves into the very wall if they have to to avoid security. They're a window into NERV. They have a shelf life, I'm afraid... but it could yield some good intel. You're right -- what we're doing is illegal, and we don't have any official support from the UTR... but there's still some people who remember what Hojo did, and by now, they're pretty high up." "... If we turn up any hard evidence on what NERV's doing... would you be willing to initiate an official investigation? I'm sure those higher ups I mentioned would have your back... and I'm sure you'd love a chance to take NERV down." Sama paused once more. "Aside from that, I have only more favors to ask... one, if you could keep the Narroh family from being arrested... feel free to blame it all on me. And two... keep yourself alive, alright?" |

(SHOOT! I'm afraid I didn't phrase that war story properly. The fact is, the scout teams took heavy casualties and what Didymus meant by this: "I found some information they didn't want me to find, so they tried to ruin me, by making me make a horrific error that would destroy my military service record and, quite possibly, cost me my command and my credibility in military affairs." Was that NERV was TRYING to make him make the mistake of launching a full-scale invasion based on their faulty intel. He didn't make it, as scout teams proved the faulty intelligence wrong, and Didymus kept his command, credibility, etc. What he was saying, again, was that NERV was TRYING to do that to him. With the scout teams, he was able to see through the trap and learned they were trying to ruin him, and he avoided their trick, and actually came out of the war hailed as a hero (in fact, the battle following those scout runs went very well, due to the intel they provided), not a bungler (although admittedly a "minor hero"). So actually, Didymus hasn't lost very much to NERV at all, but he knows that they more or less have it in for him (or at least, they did). Just to clear that up.) Galactic Forum-Didymus's office "Official investigation?" Didymus asked. "Sama, use your head! NERV attacked a private residence back on Earth, and I've been reporting these events here to EarthCom, and other things. You think an official investigation ISN'T occurring already? Look, I'd like to get NERV's closet open so we can see the skeletons, and that day may well be coming! As for their genetic experiments...Sama, that wouldn't surprise me a bit, especially considering what Jason Narroh has told me about his family and his mother...I suppose I'm curious as to how you came by the information regarding Dr. Hojo, but oh well. And Philanthropy? Hmm. I've heard of it. " "Heard of it, nothing really, just of its existence. I didn't know whether or not to believe the stories, but it's interesting to know that THAT's what Snake did with himself. " "As for the window into NERV, I'll have to report that, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to do that crud without a warrant or something, but I have a feeling that EarthCom's going to be fine with it." "Finally, that brings us to the favors you asked of me. For one, I'm shipping out tonight. In less than an hour, in fact. For the time being, I don't have much authority to keep the Narrohs from being arrested. That house arrest with protection against attack is the best we can do, for one thing. Again, as I'm shipping out, my authority is about to transfer from of our forces on the Forum to a fleet and army or so on the front. As for looking after myself...you know I always do, and always try to make sure I'm ready if I fail in that regard. I mean, maybe I kind of flirted with the line between tough and crazy during the invasion of Mobius, but I still came out of that alright, didn't I?" he chuckled. "You watch yourself, too, Sama." he said. "NERV's afraid of going after me because I'm a soldier, I have an official status, and heck, you know I got some fame from the Fornax Insurrection and the our campaign against the mobians, you shared in it. Kinda nice how that worked, huh? We didn't look to win fame or glory for ourselves, and now, I don't know about you, but as for me, I've seen my face on a few pieces of wartime motivational/propaganda/inspirational/what-have-you posters." He chuckled, but went on. "The point is, NERV's somewhat hesitant to hit me because of my uniform, my reputation, limited though it is, and the fact that one EarthCom general or admiral or another often oversees my operations. If something were to happen to me, and it could be traced back to them...it wouldn't bode well for them. You, however, lack an official status anymore...that's not to say I don't think you've got backup in some place or another, but without official eyes, and possibly even less eyes, looking at you, they may be more bold-or at least up front-with you than with me. So watch yourself, too, would you?" Just than, a young woman in a dress uniform walked in. Her eyes lit up when they saw Sama. "Sama!" she cried. "I'm sorry, sir, am I interrupting?" she asked Didymus. "Rachel, come on in." Didymus replied. "Rachel here's missed you in the months since you left." he said to Sama. "How's your life been as a merc?" Rachel asked Sama. Didymus didn't say a word about Sama's story to her. |
