T.R.S. Normandy, Observation Deck Rachel, after giving Seepock another smile and a "Follow me.", led him to the observation deck, where Didymus was waiting. As they entered the room, Didymus turned to face them. "Sir." Rachel said, saluting again. She then turned to Seepock. "Seepock," she said. "Meet colonel Didymus. He's been put in command of this ship, and the mech corps. that'll be based in it." "Seepock..." Didymus said. "Piloting the mech "Dragon Caesar"? Welcome aboard." The young colonel extended his hand toward Seepock. He did not give, nor expect of, Seepock military formalities, as, to his understanding, Seepock was one of the non-mercenary volunteers that had been hastily called up and not given any commission of rank. "Believe it or not, Seepock." Didymus said, "Your mech, if it is the "Dragon Caesar", is actually the second mech we have with the word "Dragon" in its name. Well, again, welcome aboard. Rachel, thank you, and please return to the entry port to await the last pilot, if she's coming." "Yes sir." Rachel replied, and was off. Fornax Oakridge considered for a bit. "Very well." he said, at long last. "We can struggle for independence together." Oakridge didn't entirely trust Eggman, but was not opposed to having an ally...even if he'd need to keep an eye on him. Gasp orbit Were the Andromeda's pilot to search the computer systems in his mech, he would find that the artic region of Gasp on his map was highlighted, with the heading "SUSPECTED TARGET LOCATION". (I'm going to be sending out some PMs about this RP.) |

Gasp Orbit The Andromeda, floating in orbit, has finally received its coordinate data and general map of the area. Digitally formatting it into a 3-dimensional outline image, the Andromeda was able to put together a schematic for the blank areas where the base could be... and a safe distance of drop. Then, it turned right about, heading right towards the planet, turned off all of its systems, fired boosters once to accelerate... And turned off, its red lights blinking off and seemingly shutting down as it entered Hibernation Mode. And it went down, fast, accelerating through the atmosphere as its only system besides hibernation, the magnetic repulsion field, kept the mech from overheating. Quickly, it went down to the ground, a small, black dot in the sky that went lower and lower and lower, like a small rock... And just as it was about to hit one of the hills, it reactivated and fired up all of its systems, boosters breaking its fall in seconds and as the mech gently touched the ground, it vanished, disappearing into mid-air as its ECM systems kicked in. And then, it moved, low and fast, moving amongst the hills and in between cover as it shot from place to place, hovering just inches above the ground so it did not disturb anything, invisible to the naked eye and most detection systems, getting closer anfd closer to the base as it checked potential spots for its location. (Keep in mind that NL Andromeda is an assault mech meant for close-quarters combat with a few versatility options with immense firepower and versatility. However, its stealth systems are NOT the best, and are only comparable to the best mass-produced systems out there. Key word mass-produced. However, its detection systems are probably also top-of-the-line custom. It can see, but it has trouble staying unseen.) |

T.R.S. Normandy, Observation Deck ((Spoony asked me to keep Seepock in the action during his absence, so let's hope I don't screw up too badly.)) "Ah, yes, thank you sir." Seepock said, still a bit unsure about everything. Still, he had been right in his thoughts earlier... Avalon needed his Mecha and he was the only one who could pilot it. For that reason above all else, he had to make the best of this. He noted what the Colonel had said about the 'dragon' mechs and his eyebrow raised slightly in surprise. "Really? I didn't think it was that common of a name... what a coincidence!" Gasp Research Facility Outside the sealed door of the facility stood a man with black hair, wearing a black suit and matching tie. He had on polished dress shoes and by no means looked like a guard of any kind. Nor did he look capable of defeating a giant mecha, much less one as equiped as the Andromeda. However, Roger Smith was far from what he looked like. The billionaire mercenary was already ready at a moment's notice. Having the Big O hidden away was the best way to keep himself with the element of surprise. He pulled up his sleeve and looked at his watch. Then he spoke to it. "Dorothy, is everything ready?" A voice replied: "Yes, Roger." "Good. I may have to be ready at a second's notice." Roger replied. "Do not worry, Roger." R. Dorothy's voice replied. |

T.R.S. Normandy, Observation Deck Didymus offered a small "Mmm." to Seepock's remark, and punched up a holographic map of the Normandy. "Here are your quarters," he said, pointing to a location on the map. "Here's the mess hall, the recreational facilities, the chapel, and the briefing room. You already know where the hangars are, I take it. Now, do you need help getting your things to your quarters, or do you have anymore questions?" With that, he awaited Seepock's reply. |

Outside GASP Research Facility The Andromeda, flitting in between hills, rocks and any cover it could find, covered in a rather commonplace optical field, was drawing every closer to its destination. Finally, after some searching on its part, the mech crested a hill... And saw its destination. The research facility which housed biologically dangerous bacteria, a biological weapon that he was supposed to retrieve a sample of and make SURE that he did not destroy anything related to it. Quickly, it moved out of sight, masking its presence as much as it could before continuing its movement towards the base, passing its outside radar radius and heading right towards it, still moving from side to side and hiding as much as it could, cloaked in an optical field. But it would not stay for too long. Its job was hit and run... And it was going to do just that. Little did the pilot of this mech know that someone BIG was going to find him very, very soon... |

T.R.S. Normandy, Observation Deck Seepock nodded as he studied the map carefully. It seemed he would be living on this ship for a while, so it was best if he learned his way around quickly -- he'd hate to get lost on his first day. "Thank you," He said to the Colonel. "I'll just head to my quarters for now." GASP Research Facility "Roger. Something is coming towards you now. It is moving incredibly fast, and it appears to be taking evasive procedures." The voice of R. Dorothy Wayneright spoke from Roger's watch. He looked out, trying to catch a glimpse of what could be heading for the Facility. He had suspected that a quiet night of guard duty was not in the cards -- but he didn't like the quiet anyway. "Are you sure?" Roger asked, not seeing anything. "My scanners are more reliable than your eyes." Roger smirked. The android was right. He raised his watch to his face. Well, if he was in for a fight, it would do him no good to stand around. "Big O! SHOWTIME!" From out of the ground, the gigantic black megaduce erupted forth. Roger had somehow made it inside the chest of massive machine and was sitting at his seat. He moved the control levers and looked at a screen in front of him. "CAST IN THE NAME OF GOD -- YE NOT GUILTY" The mysterious message that appeared on the screen each time he faced a foe in Big O blinked as always, and Roger waited. |

GASP Research Facility The Andromeda continued as it was, getting closer and closer to its designated location, hidden from optical sensors and those perimeter sensors placed around the base for preemptive warning. Passing them was actually quite easy, since the Andromeda was a hovering, silent mech. However, it was only a matter of time before it was discovered... And it was. Almost majestically, the Big O rose from the ground, towering high above the surrounding terrain, truly a grand example of a giant robot. It was so tall that the Andromeda stopped for just a second, re-evaluating threat. It was discovered, it knew now, since such an enormous mech would be well-equipped with practically anything... So it abandoned stealth, its cloaking systems going down before bursting into action. The Andromeda shot forward and up, over the kill, heading right for the base at top speed, ignoring the big mecha for now, gaining ground as quickly as it could, hoping to get past the defensive perimeter and the base's walls so whatever weapon the giant mech carried would not be very useful for fear of shooting the base itself. Following a roughly zigzag pattern to prevent any shots from touching it, it came close to the base's defenses... Which, as expected, opened fire at the hostile. The Andromeda, now dodging shots, never slowed down... However, the pilot inside of it knew that today, he would be tested to his very limits. He did not have backup, and it would take too long to unpack a weapon and use it successfully against the Big O. However, judging by the sheer size of the thing, his 55-mm Minigun would be useless against it. The only hope he had was that it did not have layered shielding systems so he could get past shields easily with close-in weapons... However, he knew he had the advantage of speed. The Big O was BIG, and it would take quite a bit of power to move it about, making close combat fairly useless against the Andromeda. However, the pilot knew better than to judge from appearances and displayed maximum caution as he closed in on the base. A bullet bouncing off the small shield layer over the mech changed his mind though: He had to take out the other defenses, lest the enemy figured out what the Andromeda was weak to. So, flipping forward the hinge-mounted Triple Tri-Minigun on its right arm, the Andromeda suddenly shot to the side, strafing the defensive turrets with 55-mm Shield-overloading rounds, taking out one after another, lessening the dangers it would have to face inside of the base itself. |

GASP Research Facility "Oh no you don't!" Roger looked to the Andromeda as it sped over him and away from the bases defenses. It was quickly apparent from the appearance of his new foe that his greatest challenge in this battle would be the difference in speed. Big O was incredibly strong and contained a vast array of weapons and defensive abilities -- but it was also very slow and bulky. No... as Roger thought about it, speed was not his biggest challenge. His greatest problem to overcome in this battle was the same difficulty that the Andromeda faced: the unknown. The two mechs had never done battle before, and Roger had no idea who was behind the controls of the other Mecha, and therefore no way of knowing whether or not they had ever crossed paths. The unknown was a tremendous challenge. With no idea what his enemy could do, Roger would have to be thinking fast and acting even faster. It was like a high-speed game of chess, but so much deadlier. Luckily, Roger was used to this sort of thing. Roger hit a button on his control panel and suddenly from the hips of the great Big, two large metallic blades shot out, hearing right for the Andromeda. Of course, they were not designed for cutting or destroying... these blades were anchors, attached to mighty chains. Roger hoped to hit his target and tie it up, taking away it's speed and stopping it from using what appeared to be it's biggest advantage over The Big O. Though, Roger anticipated a miss. Even if his anchors did not hit their mark, they would crash into the ground on either side of the factory and provide him better options. After all, Roger's victory would come not at the destruction of his enemy -- but at the salvation of the factory. Of course, had he known what was contained inside that factory... would he risk his life to save it? |

GASP Research Facility The Andromeda, having done a few maneuvers to attempt and confuse the computer systems of the enemy defenses, has successfully eliminated a good 15% of the base's outward defense systems. However, it is then that the Big O reacted and a paiir of heavy chains shot outwards, guided by large, metallic blades that were just as likely to cleave the Andromeda in half from the looks of their size as to simply entangle it. The Andromeda ran, straight away from the blades, almost got caught... And in an amazing burst of sudden acceleration got out of the way just in time, actually GRABBING onto one of the blades and guiding itself down to the base via impacting blade. It detached itself immediately and shot to the side, now in the base... And in relative safety. Here, amongst the facilities inside, it had less to fear from the Big O, the mech would not dare to attack him in this confined of space with any large weaponry. So, the Andromeda cruised between the structures, searching for what it needed to find... And finally, its efforts paid off. A large, thick, plated storage facility. So thick, in fact, that it was almost impregnable from the outside. That is, by any standard mech. The Andromeda, however, wasted no time. Getting out a pair of blades, it activated a green, shimmering field around the two swords... And plunged them into the metal. A normal vibroblade or a chain blade would be stuck. A beam blade would take minutes to melt through. These swords cut through the metal like it was hot butter to a knife, the swords sliding effortlessly into it. The Andromeda made repeating motions with its arms, cutting out a large section of the wall, then clasping the removed section firmly from both sides and boosting backwards, pulling out the incredible wall chunk, throwing it to the side since the weight was TOO much, even for the Andromeda's advanced movement systems. But now, it was staring right into the bowels of the most guarded storage facility in the base. Putting away its blades, it slid through the opening... |

Gasp Research Facility As the Andromeda stepped into the research facility, it would seem that none of the corporate mercinaries were moving to check its progress. However, if it were to scan the surrounding area, it may have detected a squad of infantry attempting to set up a certain type of pulse emitter... T.R.S. Normandy As Didymus stood on the observation deck, a transmission came through for him. Upon seeing who was on the other line, the young colonel immediately snapped to attention and saluted. "At ease, colonel." came Samantha Clarke's voice. As Didymus relaxed a bit, Clarke spoke again. "Governor Boyle wishes to test the performance of your team under duress. We've organized a bit of a training exercise for them...but they are not to know it is such until after its conclusion. Have all of the pilots come aboard?" she said. "Not to my knowledge, ma'am." came Didymus's reply. "There was one..."Super Kimi", I think she called herself, who we expected was also coming." "Very well. We'll have to make do without her, for now. Stand by, I'm uploading the "mission" to the Normandy's systems." "Yes ma'am." T.R.S. Normandy, Rec Room, a few minutes later Rachel stepped into the rec room, and sighed a bit. The ship, it seemed, was underway, and the shipyard was slowly drifting past them outside the windows. Didymus had given her some time off, even if only a few hours, and as such, she had arrived in the rec room to try to get something to drink, sit down, watch the cosmic scenery, and maybe chat with a few of her friends on the crew...none of which seemed to be there. That being the case, she looked around, until she spotted Sama. Why not? she thought to herself. Slowly approaching where Sama was seated, she gave a quick salute. "Mind if I sit here, too, sir?" she asked. |

AOTCC The officer sighed. ANOTHER mercenary. However, when he heard that Avenger was piloting a Marine vehicle, he paused. The Marines? So, maybe Earth's heard our call? With a quick check with Clarke, the officer, spoke again to Avenger. "All right." he said. "You have permission to land on the main city on our moon, and there you can find the mercenary office. Meanwhile, above Avalon, the Normandy had cleared its shipyard. It began to turn, and cruise toward a point from which to make a hyperspace jump (do I have to be completely original with FTL travel methods?) |

MGRAY Avenger waited for the screen to click off before he let out a slight laugh. "Looks like I'll have to pass myself of as a Marine..." He said to himself. "Of course, there is one little problem." He finished, moving his eyes upward. He considered cutting his hair off, but he decided against it, figuring it was better to say "it grows back fast". With that, he gave the command to Eddie to land, and within seconds, they were at their destination, the Avalon Mercenary Office. |
