Orion Conference Room Sama smirked a bit, and although he addressed Didymus he did not remove his eyes from the Old Man. "Actually, on some levels, I was talking about philosophical as well. There's a lot of people who claim to be 'good' who are as rotten as sin, and many who are labeled 'evil' when they've committed no crime. Humans, as a species, make terrible judges. History's littered with examples," "Don't get me wrong, I believe there's true good and true evil in this universe of ours; but I think most of the times, we let our own arrogance and personal experiences shape our view of what we label 'good' and 'evil'. There's some examples that are clearly one or the other -- but most of the time there's two sides to the story, just like light and darkness." He finally did turn his head to his Colonel for a moment. "One man's hero is another man's villain. It depends on where we stand. Anyone can make a justification for their actions in their own eyes; whether that truly makes them 'good' or not isn't for humans to decide." He suddenly sighed. "But... I'm not wanting to debate anyone, let alone my C.O." He looked to Old Man Sensei once again. "Just... sharing some observations from the past, that's all." Perhaps, whatever it was that Sama was thinking of when he said all this was somehow connected to the planet Orion, and his earlier cryptic comments. Orion -- Sewers Megatron's tail arm retracted and stopped spinning; he was pleased with his progress. The first Megatron would be proud if he'd seen what the Beast Megatron had done. With a devilish smirk, he moved in, ready to attack once more. That's when Bumblebee started yelling to Sari, and Megatron noticed her running towards him. That girl was a fool if she thought she stood a chance against someone like him! Or... was Megatron just being too arrogant, as usual? At that moment, the Doombot that Sari had disabled exploded! Apparently, they had a delay-self destruct. The explosion collapsed part of the sewers, separating Megatron, Sari and Bumblebee from the Doombots and Dinobot. Then, another large piece of sewer collapsed onto Megatron himself, pinning him to the ground. The T-Rex head that made up his chest plate broke open and the golden disc fell out and landed near Bumblebee! "NO! Nooo, I won't stand for this!" Megatron gripped from beneath the heavy chunk of sewer. |

Orion -- Sewers "Sari! Get down!" Bumblebee yelled, demanding the girl hit the ground. He would have grabbed her himself but he was still sparking by the hands. He doubted grabbing the small organic would be a good idea if it involved shocking her. Luckily she did as she was told and hit the ground quickly, covering her head. As the dust cleared Bumblebee let out a sigh of relief, it didn't seem as if Sari had sustained any major injuries, though the same couldn't be said for Megatron. It seemed as if he had a huge piece of cement on top of his form, leaving him pinned.....And a golden disc left exposed! As Sari stood and dusted herself off (Bee felt himself letting out another sigh of relief) he called out to her. "Get that disc" Sari nodded and did as she was told, running at the CD and taking it in her hands. It didn't look particularly important or flashy so she naturally wondered what was on it that would make that Dinobot ask for it. Bumblebee then stood back up carefullly, his hands still sparking and his form worse for wear, and walked over to Megatron. " You won't stand for this...Heh, I don't think you'll be standing for anything for a looooong time" Bee chuckled at his own joke and Sari rolled her eyes. |

Orion conference room Didymus smiled a bit. "You know, captain..." he said. "...there actually may be little discord between you and I on these matters. Some, perhaps, but not too much." Regarding Sensei again, he said: "So, Sensei, you've heard quite a bit from our camp. Now," he grinned a bit. "Do you wish to listen to our camp and Lexrach debate, or do you have something else in mind?" |

Orion Conference Room Sama shrugged, the smirk still on his face. "Eh, where's the fun it in if everybody agrees all the time?" Sama grinned, leaning his hands behind his head again. Orion -- Sewers Megatron let out several angry screams and vicious rants, threatening to reduce Bumblebee into scrap metal if he didn't return the disc -- but with his legs shorted out and a giant cement block pinning his arms down, there was no way he'd be fighting back right now. "Give him back!" Megatron shouted in a futile attempt to persuade Bee and Sari. Of course, he might have said too much with that one. On the other side of the collapsed sewer, Dinobot had dispatched the Doombots, but was cut off from Bee and Sari. He transformed back to his raptor form and growled to himself. Now they had the disc, and that wasn't what he needed. "It's alright..." He hissed silently. "They have no idea what they hold!" |

Orion -- Sewers "Hah! Like we're giving you this....this....this....CD-thingy back! You'll have to pry it out of my cold, offline, ha-" "Wait!" Sari interupted, her hands still gripping the golden disc tightly "Him.....Why did you refer to the CD as a him?" She looked down at it wondering if like the transformers there were other inatimate looking objects that had personalities and such. She rembered sitting in front of tutor-bot maybe a year or so ago learning about how hundreds of years ago people thought that by now there would be all sorts of objects that could obtain personalities. It continued to explained that though AI had been developed (with some help from her dad) there would probably never be a developed AI in many objects... She wondered if that was true.... |

-Orion Conference Room- "I have heard enough on this one subject," Old Man Sensei said, "And of course, I've also done my research. Just one last question, but first." The old man turned towards Didymus, "I am sorry, but I can not allow either side to aid us. Of course, Orion is lacking the defenses to stop someone from stepping in as it is right now." Leaving that open, Old Man Sensei gave his last question. "Why should Orion pledge ourselves to either side?" -Orion: Sewers- A blast of energy shot towards the rubble, attempting to clear a path from where Dinobot was and where Bumblebee, Sari, and Megatron were. Iron Man had appeared, in his normal suit, his giant mech on call for now. |

Orion conference room Didymus simply regarded Sensei. "Well, I could call Mr. Stark off, or at least try, I suppose, but I think I may advise against that. Anyway, why should you pledge yourselves to either side? Well, I've already elaborated on a few reasons why I think you should rejoin the U.T.R., but also, well, if you do ally with one side or the other, it wouldn't cause famine-withdrawing your food supplies from a side would make food tighter for them, but not famine-level, in which case they may have to enact rationing." (Irony, you agree with that?) "Anyway," he continued. "Unless you want me to reiterate some points or name a few more, you know more or less where I stand, so need I say more?" |

Orion Airspace It had been years...years since Isaac Sumdac had seen Orion in person. Those times he was there in the past had been full of excitement as a young scientist enjoying the freedom of traveling about the galaxy, watching planets with wide eyes and excited expressions, and waiting to learn anything else he could about robotics and AI....Of course it was several years from that point until he became a master in his field, crating Sumac Industries, but still....Good memories were attached to this planet. Since then many things had changed. Since those faitful days as a graduate student he had developed his industry, became a notable figure and even was married with a young and extremely beautiful wife....And of course there was his child...Sari, the center of his universe and the reason for his exsistance now. She was born only a couple days from his 60th birthday, strangely late in the man's life though he did not care. Sari was his everything and he liked it that way. Even after his young wife's death shortly after her birth he devoted almost every moment to the infant, for a short time even forgetting about his industry and all the progress on robotics he had made. Of course there was that time where he had to return to his original passion before his wife and child, and when it came he couldn't help but feel excited. It would be nice to work on his projects for AI once more. A couple weeks after his wife's funeral and about a month after Sari had been born he found himself tinkering away on more and more ideas, things that could improve the world or just improve life at home. His own home was full of these "make life more convient" robots, doing every job from cleaning to cooking, to even taking care of his own daughter. He never thought he could be this happy, though his wife was gone he did have his baby and he had his company.... Of course Isaac hated to think about what had come next. The deline of his own company had been a bloody one, even to this day he wasn't sure what had happened to cause it. All he knew was robots started to turn on their owners and lives were put at state. Even he had sustained some injuries from trying to put them all back offline....But his were nothing compared to his childs'. Within just a few momets of the rebellion, his daughter's left arm had payed the price for his playing God, she wailed for him and he rushed to her to see nothing but a crushed appendage. Instantly he took the small baby and used what he could to save her. He thought better of taking her to a hospital at this time, there was no doubt in his mind that the police was coming after him for this. Instead he used everything in his workshop to repair her....after hours and hours she was sleeping quietly bundled up and laying in his arms, and the two were going to move from their location. He had offically seen it on the news, Isaac Sumdac, one of the father's of modern robotics, was a fugitive. Since those years Isaac had grown older in age and so had his beautiful daughter. She still sported a robotic arm, though she did not know about it, which he would change on every birthday....The eighth time had come just a few days after she had met some of her transformers friends. ................. Isaac sat in his ship wondering if he would even be able to acess this planet without trouble. It had been so long but hopefully there were still a couple of planets that didn't know of his wanted status. He had heard that since he left his daughter in the care of the autobots that she and Bumblebee had traveled out here on their own. He wished to find her.... (is this okies Vidit?) |

(What Old Man Sensei is sayin' Vidit, is that he's perfectly fine with them helping out, but he can't officially ask for help right now.) -Orion: Conference Room- "Orion has never left the U.T.R. young man," Old Man Sensei said, "We have simply not spurned the Rebellion." "Our path is the future..." Lexrach said, "You remember the Pirate Conflicts, of course?" "Indeed. Though that was when I was a bit younger," Old Man Sensei nodded. "They were devastating towards the outer rim colonies, where the central authority took to long to fully respond to the threat. Countless lives were needlessly lost. If the colonies consisted of smaller republics, looking out for their own, then the pirate's would have been stopped sooner. We are to spread out as we are now. We of the Rebellion wish to be able to govern and protect ourselves, and not have to rely on a far flung authority who needs the murdering of thousands and the cries of millions to react..." Lexrach finished. "Very interesting," Old Man Sensei said, "I must deliberate on this and consult the Orion Council. You are welcome to stay for now, but our decision will not go out once your ships have left the vicinity of the planet. We may be peaceful, but we are not stupid. If you wish for some snacks, simply call out, and someone will be here shortly. Try a video game if you want, or just head back to your ships." He turned and headed into another room, pausing as he saw an odd, large blue box, a youngish looking man wearing red Canvases and a long coat leaned against it, talking amiably with the younger man from earlier. "Ahhh..." Old Man Sensei grinned, "Greetings Doctor. Why do you grace me with your presence?" "Come now, can't an old friend just pop in for a visit?" The Doctor said, as the younger man made his way off. "Knowing you dear Doctor, you never just pop in for a visit," Old Man Sensei said. "Alright, you have me there. A lot of stuff seems to be happening on this planet, so I figured I should check on things. I believe their is a disturbance that needs looking after," The Doctor answered with a grin. "Thank you dear friend. Now, I have an important decision to help make." With that, both Old Man Sensei and The Doctor nodded respectively to each other, and headed off. Old Man Sensei headed through a door, and The Doctor walked into his odd blue box with the words 'Police Call Box' on it. An odd noise, and the large box disappeared. -Rebel Fleet: The Righteous Indignation- Peterson's Office Peterson, at first, paid no attention to Asuka, fiddling with a pen for a moment, then writing a few things on a couple pieces of paper. After a few moments, he looked up, and smiled. "Ah, Asuka, good, you're here," he said, not getting up, "You fought well in the battle, but were a bit to headstrong." He paused, still smiling, then continued, "Remember that I am the Commanding Officer. When I give an order, I expect you to follow it." His smile faded as he stood up, "As a pilot and a warrior, I understand their are times when an order must be ignored, but it is the duty of the soldier to know when to do so. Risking your life on a small chance is not one of those times. We are outnumber and outgunned. We are lucky to have enough highly skilled pilots that we have. I would hate to lose another one...But..." Peterson glared towards Asuka, his peaceful manner entirely gone, "If you disobey a commanding officer like you did back on Avalon again, whether it's myself, my second-in-command, or anyone with the authority to do so, you will be stripped of your pilot status until I have felt you learned your lesson. "Do I make myself clear?" |

Orion conference room "Very well, Sensei." Vidit said. With that, he turned to Lexrach. "The Pirate Conflicts, about one year or so ago...I served in those. Perhaps you're right about the ideas of independant republics...but the pirates had a culture based on competition...whoever had the money had their way...they competed, alright. There were too many of them for those that volunteered in that sector to defend those people, police, soldiers, etc., for them to handle! You claim to support liberty, but the only way for those systems to surrvive if they weren't in the U.T.R. may have been a draft-forced military service for their citizens, if anything! But the UNIFIED Republic responded, even if it did take a while, and we CRUSHED the pirates, rebuilt those colonies. But the pirates themselves...again, their whole "system" was based on competition. It was no-holds-barred, take-all-you-can competition. And I saw the results! I was a marine officer, leading a unit, and I saw the pirates, and the result of your beloved "competition" right up close. Imagine it...the smell of smoke and death in the air, houses burned to the ground, PEOPLE, taken for slaves! Caged and branded like animals!" He was rather...passionate as he delivered his own speech, recounting some of his experiences. "For what? So that the pirates could "get ahead". They were competing with each other, with us, and that's what happened. They murdered! They enslaved! They burned! They stole! All so they could get ahead in their competition with each other! And without the might of the whole U.T.R. to stop them, those systems may still be trembling in their grasp!" He took a deep breath. "So that's where your precious "competition" will lead. I believe that some competition is good for socieity and humanity, but not at the levels you talk of. Of divided political states...again, I saw what "competition" did to those colonies...is THAT your vision for the future? I realize that you may claim that you support some kind of lawfulness that would prevent that, but still, think about it...your talk of competition seems to imply that-that things like that are acceptable, in the name of "progress". It wasn't progress I saw there, Lexrach. It was horror." With that, he sat down. |

-Orion: Conference Room- "Oh, yes, the U.T.R. rebuilt the colonies lost...But can you really rebuild families lost? Can you give someone their family back? "And yes, the pirates were competing...with each other. The competition I speak of is between organized bodies of government. If the pirates had actual competition to go against them in the colonies, they would have been stopped sooner. These pirates were just for themselves, but between governments, a full scale fight is much less likely to happen. Are you not familiar with the term M.A.D.? So what if it meant a mandatory draft? What is worse, to let the pirates enslave and pillage, and continue that horror you saw, or to fight back, and save people? It might have been an evil, but more would have been better then having to wait for the far flung command..." Lexrach stood up swiftly, "Now if you excuse me, I have other pressing matters to attend to." With that, the red headed stomped off, down the hallway and back towards where the Marines were, to head back to the Rebellion Ship in orbit. "Man, she's wound a bit tight," Coop said, playing on one of the video games. |

Orion conference room Didymus would have debated Lexrach's points, but she left. He glanced at Coop after his comment, and wondered if he didn't think the same about him. "Well..." he said. "I suppose they may not be announcing their decision until we leave the system...but Sama, Coop...how'd you two like to investigate those AI traces we found earlier with Mr. Stark?" (And C_R, your Isaac Sumdac intro post was more than merely "okies". Nice job with it.) |

Orion -- Sewers ((Sorry I haven't posted in forever!)) When the smoke cleared from the beam, Dinobot was no where to be seen. In actuality he had ran down the tunnel a ways and hidden himself in a side tunnel, keeping a watch on the situation from the shadows. Megatron was still trapped beneath the cinder block, his legs still shorted out. He had finished his ranting and threats, instead he had fallen silent and taken to watching the others. A few moments after Stark's entrance, Sama appeared, running through the sewers and looking distressed. He had wanted to help, despite the Sensei not officially requesting it. "Oi... what a day..." He paused as he looked around. He saw a half-broken evil machine, a transformer, a little girl, Tony Stark and the strange CD-thing Megatron wanted so bad. "... Did we miss the fighting?" Peterson's Office Asuka didn't seem to be sweating. She wasn't nervous and she really didn't seem to care how much Peterson threatened her. Instead, she just stood there with her arms crossed and a funny little smile on her face. "... If you hadn't have turned tail like a coward, we could have crushed them all." Asuka replied, not seeming to shy away from conflict, either in a space battle or in an argument. "Do whatever you want. I've got the highest sync-ratio with my mecha of any pilot in your fleet. You can sideline me, sure... but the way I see it, as long as the Federation keeps wining these fights, you need all the skilled pilots you can get." She leaned against the door and peered at him. Asuka was one of those people who just lived for conflict. |

-Orion: Sewers- Iron Man, a.k.a. Tony Stark glanced towards Sama, then over to Bumblebee, Megatron, and Sari. "The name's Iron Man, a.k.a. Tony Stark, S.H.I.E.L.D. director," Iron Man said, his suit downloading data on those around him. There was an odd voice in these sewers, and a large blue police box began to appear, somewhat see through at first, then became solid. The doors opened, and The Doctor stuck his head out, looking around. "Hello!" he said brightly, "I seem to have missed the robot battle. Name's The Doctor by the way. You?" -The Righteous Indignation: Peterson's Office- "Asuka, a weapon you can not control is worse then a weapon in your opponent's hands," Peterson said, sitting back down in his chair, "As for your sync ratio, yes, I must agree to that...But tell me, how many other mechs use the sync method? Neither mine nor Maria's mech sync. Nearly all of our grunt robots don't sync either." There was a blinking light on his desk, and Peterson glanced towards it with a frown. "Now if you excuse me, I have to take this call..." -Fornax Fleet- Spork typed on a holographic keyboard in his mech with a frown, looking over various things. "Are you sure you couldn't get any more information?" Spork wondered. "Sorry," Eddie answered, "The inner files are highly encrypted." The evil genius frowned. Why was it that Eddie seemed...down? |

Orion: Sewers- As the dust cleared Bumblebee could see several new figures that he did not recognize. Instantly his guard went straight up, he really did not want to lose his prize (in the form of unmobile Megatron and the CD that was in Sari's hands). The young bot found himself raising his stingers in defense. "Who are you guys?!" He demanded. He then looked over to Sari "Stand back Sari, these guys could be trying to help Megatron!" Sari looked around at the new arrivals, not convinced they were here to aid the evil decepticon. "Where did you guys come from?" |
