(True, but Coop doesn’t know that. He would be looking towards the biggest ship closes to him.) -Orbit Above Avalon- “Well, I got lost,” Coop answered, shrugging, “Know where Ear-” “Coop!” Kiva cut in, “We need to be careful. If we are in another dimension or in the very distant future, then we need to be careful.” “Then what can I say?” Coop wondered, turning to look towards the red head. “Tell him we’re mercenaries or something. Those guys get lots of money, right?” Jamie inquired, looking towards Coop. “Mercenaries? I’m a good guy!” Coop shouted, turning towards Jamie, “Not being a mercenary.” “Well we have to tell them something,” Jamie said, shrugging and leaning back in his chair. “Let me talk to them…” Kiva sighed, and then leaned forward, speaking towards the communicator. “We are not at current liberty to discuss where we come from, but require simply some time to gather our wits and figure out where exactly we are,” the red head said, “Requesting permission to leave the system safely.” Unfortunately, Coop had left the transmit button on, meaning the guy would have heard everything earlier. Plus, if they were to scan Megas, they would see some futuristic devices and…unconventional weapons contained within. Megas even contained a few nukes, never used. Plus, an unoperational Time Drive. -Pollock VI- (Whenever you’re ready, Eggman can dock and all that Vidit!) |

(Futuristic devices? As this is a sci-fi RP, they may not be quite so futuristic in comparison to what's around them now, even though we don't need to get into this RP's date. Anyway...) AOTCC Megas had been scanned, and although the timedrive was not exactly identified, Megas's devices were mostly laid out for information. After a brief dialog with loyalist HQ over the results of the scan, the officer spoke up, despite being somewhat...puzzled by the strange comments he had heard. "Uhh...roger that." he said. "Permission granted. But here." With that, the officer uploaded news articles to Megas's computer drives, featuring such headlines as "CONTACT WITH EARTH LOST! FORNAX LEADS REBELLION!" and "PUBLIC CAN REST EASY: DARK MATTER WEAPON OFFLINE.", and even "CORPORATIONS DECLARE INDEPENDANCE!" Perhaps those would help them get their bearings. Pollock VI As Eggman's craft approached Pollock VI, a wing of fighter craft began to approach it. As they did, one of them hailed Eggman: "Welcome to Pollock VI, doctor. Please allow us to escort you to Corporate City." When they arrived, and Eggman stepped out of his craft, a blond-haired secretary with small glasses approached him. "Welcome, Doctor Robotnik. I am Mr. Upfield's secretary. He wishes to meet with you over drinks. Please, come with me." she said. (Eesh...4 AM, roughly. Maybe I should hit the sack.) |

-Orbit Above Avalon- “Dark matter weapon? Corporation declares independence? Cut off from Earth?” Kiva paused, shaking her head, “No…I don’t know anything about this.” “Hmmm…” Coop said, looking at the headlines, “Well we gotta help these guys!” “Are you crazy Coop? Let’s just find a way to get home!” Jamie said, “This is crazy.” “Maybe so, but they need our help,” Coop retorted, “Besides, how are we going to get back if we don’t know where we are? And I could use a cheese steak right now. Maybe about ten of them.” “You ate just one hour ago Coop,” Kiva sighed. “That long? No wonder I’m hungry!” Coop grinned, then turned back to the transmitter, “Hey…Uhhh…Any chance of a fellow getting something to eat, and maybe helping you guys out? Looks like you could use someone like me!” “Here we go…” Jamie sighed, shaking his head. -Pollock VI- “Excellent,” Eggman smiled, nodding towards the secretary, as he disembarked. A small Eggman drone followed behind him. “And this is just a non fighting robot who carries my things.” Indeed, the small drone was laden with various devices. None of them were weapons. “There to help with the presentation, if needed,” Eggman explained. |

AOTCC The officer sighed. This was NOT what he signed up for. Regardless, he did his duty. After another brief dialouge with loyalist HQ, he had his orders on how to handle them. "You are granted moon access. Mercenary agencies can be found in numerous cities there, as can recruitment offices. They can give you more information about opportunities to help us. Have a nice day." With that, the officer cut the transmission and turned his attention to other orbital traffic over Avalon. Pollock VI: Corporate City The secretary looked over the droid. "Very well." she said, and then led Eggman through various hallways and such, until finally coming to a room containing a dimly lit "high-class" bar, and led Eggman to a table, at which Upfield was sitting, sipping a drink. "Welcome, doctor." Upfield said. "Please, sit down, and order a drink yourself." With that, he regarded Eggman, mentally sizing him up. |

Here I Am, Rock You Like a Hurricane
|
--Orbit above Fornax-- Ayato had been cruising through space for weeks, visiting every planet with signs of life he could find. When he had left Tokyo Jupiter for Earth he had no idea just how many planets could be between them. He hadn't bothered to ask for directions anywhere, and following a map is fairly difficult when you don't know where you are and can't recognize anything in the large black void he found himself in. As he neared another planet he grumbled to himself, "This one better be it... If it's not I swear I'm goi-". He never got to finish stating what he was swearing, as it came to his attention he was about to run headfirst into a ship orbiting the planet. "Shit!" he cursed and began to attempt to move away in time. He had found that maneuvering in space was quite different than maneuvering in the atmosphere of Tokyo Jupiter, and was still sluggish because of it. He managed to avoid the ship, mostly. RahXephon's foot tapped the rear end as it passed. Ayato bit down on his lip. "Way to go buddy, you just had to have such long legs...Now I've got a shuttle with road rage to worry about." Bringing the RahXephon to a stop and turning it about to face the ship he had just tapped, he took this time to examine it. It didn't look like any of the transport vehicles in Tokyo Jupiter, nor did it resemble any of the Dolems he had fought. But then again, neither did most of the things he came across on this journey so far. --A Hanger on Earth-- Saber gazed upon the large mech she was being shown. It looked a lot like her, except without the warmth. The design was flattering, yet creepy at the same time. She turned to the mechanic. "He wants me to learn to fly this? Why?" She asked, brandishing her sword, Excalibur, "Why, when I have such a fine weapon already?" The mechanic shrugged. "He told me to let you know that the newspapers are predicting armegeddon, and he wants you to help out. Swords are outdated, lady." She sighed and commanded quickly, "Open up the hatch." The mechanic did so with a press of a button and slid the remote to her. With one quick jump she was inside of the mechanical-her. She knew the mechanic would teach her how to control it if she asked, but preferred to experiment. Soon she had it walking, and had mastered arm-movement. Now she wanted to see what weapon capabilities it had. She had noticed the large sword on it's back before jumping in, and so with a little effort she had grasped it's hilt and pulled it out in front of her. It looked remarkably like Excalibur. She swung it a few times. Now this is something I can use... she thought. Exiting the mech she turned to the mechanic. "I suppose I can use this. Thank you for your time, and I'll be sure you're paid for the storage space." |

Orbit Near The Normandy A long shape loomed in on the horizon. It was snake-like and seemed to glide along through the air, moving far too fast for debris and without the giveaway tail of a comet. Indeed, it was a ship -- but unlike the majority of them. While most ships were bulky and blocky, this one moved with a fluid motion and a lot of side-to-side swerving, like a snake swimming across a pond. Light illuminated the Dragon Star King. It was not a mere ship, but also a mighty mech for Avalon's alliance. The dragon ship glided into the Normandy's hanger and landed. A young man exited the ship wearing the Avalon Uniform. The insignia on his shoulders showed him to be a Captain, a rank he'd only recently obtained. His mind drifted back to what he'd done before piloting the Dragon Star King... he closed his eyes and shook his head. Entry port, T.R.S. Normandy Sama arrived and looked around, until he spotted Rachel. He paused and then walked over. He never was used to military life, so instead of saluting and the proper thing to do... "Hey. I'm the new guy." He said simply. |

T.R.S. Normandy Rachel, actually being of lower rank than Sama, (1st lieutenant's right below captain), saluted him, but also flashed a smile. "Uhh...," she checked her list. "Captain Sama?" she asked. "Welcome aboard the Normandy. Colonel Didymus is waiting for you. I'm 1st lieutenant Rachel Silvit, the colonel's batwoman. If there's anything I can do for you, though, please let me know, and I'll do it, if I can. Anyway, come with me." With that, Rachel led Sama to the observation deck, where Didymus was waiting. "Sir." she said, saluting. "Captain Sama, sir." "Very good, lieutenant." Didymus replied, regarding them with that same earnest but gentle look on his face. "Thank you. Please go and ensure the other pilots also make it here." "Sir." she said, with another salute. With that, and a smile, a salute, and another "Welcome aboard, captain!" directed at Sama, she returned to her post. "Captain Sama?" Didymus asked, stepping towards Sama. "I'm colonel Didymus. Welcome aboard." With that, Didymus waited, to see if a salute would be coming his way, as would be military custom. Not that he personally needed it, but it was military discipline, of course, for subordinates to salute their COs, and Didymus was not one to abandon those kinds of things in most situations. Orbit over Fornax "What the-?!?!" the ship pilot that had been rammed exclaimed. Inside Ayato's mech, a voice sounded out from the communicator. "Unidentified mech, this is Fornax Orbital Traffic Control, identify yourself." |

T.R.S. Normandy Sama followed behind Rachel to the deck, where he gave her a wave as she walked away and called: "Thanks!" Then he turned to the Colonel. He really wasn't up-to-grade on Military Procedure, so he did not salute. It was one of those things that he'd never really gotten used to. Then again, there was a reason for that. "So... I guess you're the big cheese around here, eh? Nice to meet you. Got to admit, I'm not used to all this stuff." The Captain was about as un-military as one could be. He was slumped in his standing, practically leaning against the wall. His hat was nowhere to be seen, which means that technically he was out-of-uniform. It seemed... unusual... that someone like him could have been a Officer. ((Heh, I know Sama's behavior and lack of proper dress-code is all a bit strange, but it fits his character... and I plan to explain it all very shortly.)) Pollock VI: Corporate City The door to Upfield's Office opened and in walked a man dressed all in black. He had a leather trench coat, dark slacks and a black vest. He even wore sunglasses. The one stark contrast was how very pale his skin was, and his hair... it was butter-yellow and looked to be full of gel. "Sir." Wesker said as he stepped into the room. "We've made contact with Roger Smith, the Negotiator, as per your request." Wesker had not been the one to set up the communication, he merely reported it to the boss. He always seemed to be lurking around, doing something. |

T.R.S. Normandy Didymus was a bit suprised at Sama's lack of procedure. Sure, he had been wared that some of the incoming pilots may be simply hastily-recruited civilians, but a captain in the U.T.R. military (remember, Avalon still considers itself and/or still is part of the United Terran Republic)? There was something wrong here. If the circumstances had been different, he may have given Sama a reprimand, at least in word. As it was, however, he spoke up like this: "Yes, I've been assigned as the direct commander of the Normandy, and the mech corps., of which, it seems, you are a part. I know, I know, you were expecting a colonel to be quite a bit older than I am, but, well, I'll say that I seem to have been blessed with a grasp of military matters beyond my years, and I was only appointed to this position recently. But anyway, what do you mean you're "not used to all this stuff", captain? What do you mean? But before you answer, please, let me say a few things: One, if you are military staff, which, judging by your attire, and the insignia on your shoulders, I'm guessing you are, then, as your CO, I will ask you now to bear in mind that you WILL maintain proper military discipline and procedure as long as your are under my command. Make no mistake, it's not like I'm going to court-martial you for failing to salute or keep track of your uniform's hat, but I like to keep proper procedure in any units I'm entrusted with. Understood?" Didymus had tried to sound firm without gloating over his superior rank, but either way, he awaited Sama's response. (I understand, Sama. Indeed, if you're using the SW&WS Sama, especially, then I can see how radical the change in pace for his life would have been, and how he may not quite be used to things in the military.) Pollock VI-Corporate City Upfield's secretary greeted Wesker. "Thank you, Mr. Wesker." she said. "Mr. Upfield is at abusniess meeting now, so could you patch the call through to me?" She prepared herself to negotiate with the Negotiator. (I'd like to urge everyone still involved in TSC not to forget about it, please. Even though it doesn't have the new-topic smell like this RP does.) |

Spork HQ "Yeahsurewhatever." Avenger quickly replied, rolling his eyes. "Now, what is it?" "Well, I was doing some catching up on the news, trying to find some celebrity gossip, and I found a rather interesting article." He continued as he pulled some coffee out of his jacket. "Seems like a few of Earth's space colonies have lost contact with us..." |

-Orbit Over Avalon- “Now Coop, be careful, we don’t want to start a fight. Just land on the moon and we’ll figure out where we are and how to get back,” Kiva said from the back, “Understand.” “Of course. I’m always careful,” Coop said, and Megas revved up, flying towards the moon, “Though I can’t see why we just can’t land on the big spaceship.” -Avalon Moon- Coop looked for a place to land Megas. And a fast food place. -Pollock vVI- “Now, I won’t keep you to long,” Eggman said, then motioned to the bartender (if there was one), and ordered a simple glass of water. “One doesn’t stay a genius of 300 I.Q. and with reflexes like mine by indulging in a few of life’s…shall we say, enjoyments?” Eggman grinned, sipping his water, “Alcohol does kill brain cells after all, and I use every last one.” He coughed, then pulled a small cube from the tray his small droid presented, then placed it on the counter, pushing a small button on top of it. A hologram flickered on over it, showing the robot again and it’s specs. “Now, like I said before, these unmanned mechs come with either a preprogrammed A.I. A very simple one, don’t have to worry about a ‘robot uprising’, or with a clean slate, which you can program in yourself,” Eggman said, motioning to the hologram, “Now because of the way they are built, the ones with a preprogrammed A.I. are actually cheaper. It’s easier to have something installed in them then make it so they are compatible with other systems.” Eggman leaned back, and motioned to the cube, “You see the specs here, and know why they may not be on par with some of those manned pilots, they are ten times cheaper then any manned pilot, and there is power in numbers, no? “And finally,” Eggman grinned, “At no cost to you, comes in any color you can think of, and fully customizable.” -Spork HQ- “Rapid Island has no colonies as it is,” The Spork answered, “I have no reason to go up there…” AGoI did, however, seem to be anxious to get back to the lab for something. -Rebel Ship: The Righteous Indignation. Orbit over Fornax- “Sir, a strange mech has appeared in orbit over Fornax,” Peterson’s assistant said to the Rebel Field Commander. “Have we identified it yet?” Peterson inquired. “Not yet,” Maria answered, “But we’re 93.2 % certain that it isn’t a Loyalist fighter that got lucky. Traffic control is dealing with the problem.” “…No…” Peterson said, standing up, “This might be a Loyalist trick. Get my Geloog ready five minutes ago.” “Yes sir,” his assistant said, and ran off, Peterson strolling down the hall behind her. |

Spork HQ "Maybe you don't, but I do." He angrily replied. "You see, I had a rather strange nightmare a few nights ago. It showed the destruction of Earth, and the subsequent destruction of the rest of the universe. I thought it was just a brutal nightmare, but now I'm not so sure." He stopped, and turned around to exit. "If you give a damn about this universe, you'll help me get into space." |

-Spork HQ- “You had a dream about it?!” AGoI said, feigning shock, “Oh no, then we must do something!” Staring at Avenger, he proceeded to close the door, “I don’t have a ship capable of space travel. You’ll have to find another way.” Of course, The Spork might be lying about this, but Avenger wouldn’t know. |

Spork HQ: Lab "Fine then..." Avenger said, snarling as he walked back to his quarters. He had an idea of something that could work, but he only heard rumors of it's existence. It was supposed to be the ultimate machine, held on Earth by a military group. "Time to get my Google on..." Spork HQ: The room of insane, crazinormous destiny and other sweet stuff. (AKA: Avenger's room.) *click* *type, type, type...* *click* *scroll...* Avenger read over the page several times, making absolutely sure that it was what he was looking for. It had to be. The files he hacked were on the Marines' official database. Looking over the specs and the pictures a few more times, he made up his mind. "I'll need to get my hands on some jet engines, but with the Professor around, that shouldn't be too hard to do." And with that, Avenger pressed his fingers to his forehead, and vanished into thin air, off to Earth*, and his target, Metal Gear RAY. (I keep forgetting. Is Rapid Island on Earth? Or is it its own little area?) |

T.R.S. Normandy Sama paused for a long time, not saying a word. Then, at last, he spoke up. "... Sir, I'm not used to this military procedure. I can understand you'll want me to keep up with them, but the honest truth is, I probably won't." Sama replied, not in a sarcastic way but in a honest way. "The truth is, Colonel, I'm not big on protocol or procedure... but the one thing I can do is my job." He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "The truth is, forgetting my hat or not knowing when to salute... those things are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. When it counts -- when I'm piloting a Mecha, or when there's someone life on the line... that's when I follow orders, and that's when I'm at my best." He paused, then he laughed. "Just trying to be honest, Colonel." |
