New Gettysburg: RAY Avenger blinked, dumbfounded. "Damn, you're right." He muttered. "But how else am I supposed to activate the Hydro Cutter?" He asked, receiving only an arrow on his control screen, which pointed to a button that read "Activate Hydro Cutter ^_^" "Dammit." |

Gasp Orbit (I completely forgot that the Big O in this RP was capable of space travel! My bad.)It looked like the Andromeda was going to escape into the safety of hyperspace, with the Corporation's Fleet helpless to stop it from zooming away. That, however, was not as certain as it looked. All at once the gigantic Megadeuce appeared on the horizon, powerful rocket thrusters lifting it up from the feet. Roger knew that this battle would be very different than the one on the planet. Without gravity to hold him down, the Big O was much speedier. And, with the factory he was charged with guarding well away, he could now safety call out some of the heavy equipment. "O Thunder!" Roger called as he activated a powerful weapon. Once activated, the armor covering the Big O's forearms opened exposing four gun barrels. The rotating barrels fired energy volleys at high-speed, while generating a ring of energy that explodes on impact. The volley of energy blasts were aimed right at the Andromeda -- but several of them exploded in the area around the enemy mech. The reason? Those rings of energy give off a high density "cloud" of pure energy once they explode -- the energy cloud causes massive static interference in several different systems, including hyperdrive generators. Roger wasn't ready to let his foe escape. The effects were only temporary, of course, but the Negotiator hoped it was all the prompting the other pilot would need to finish their fight. |

I can't see what you're imagining

-New Gettysburg- The Spork grinned, pressing a few buttons, his mech shifting and bringing around a large cannon from it’s shoulder. “Eddie. Do not aid myself or Avenger,” AGoI ordered, then began to take aim. A flash of white light came from the cannon, arcing outwards and taking aim towards Ray, Avenger’s mech! “You might be better at combat then I, but you have no idea how to pilot that thing…” AGoI grinned, talking to himself. Meanwhile… “You heard your orders!” Stark shouted, “Go!” Coop grinned, then blasted forward, looking around, then his eyes settled on the black pilot and his mech… “You’re not seriously going to go after him, are you?” Jamie gulped from the driver’s seat. “Oh yah…” Coop grinned, revving the engine, then letting out a yell, Megas clapping it’s hands and bringing them apart to produce a red hot energy sword, which Megas then held, ready to fight. “YAAAAHOOOOOO!” Coop shouted, as Megas flew straight towards the Dark Pilot! Also… Iron Man blasted through a few rebel mechs with powerful Uni Beam blasts, until he narrowly flew to the side, a double bladed energy weapon slicing by him. Peterson smirked, piloting with Gyan with expert precision, then brought the weapon around towards Iron Man. “Ahhh…Tony Stark, also known as Iron Man…A pleasure to meet you,” Peterson said, “Do you really think you can take on me? Even before the war I was well known as being one of the militaries top pilots.” “Heh, nothing but a show boat,” Iron Man said back, “My technology is superior to yours, as is my skills…” Peterson grinned, then prepared to charge forward. This would be interesting… |

Gasp Orbit Okay, now THIS was a pickle. The Hyperdrive lurched, since it was projecting outwards, and that was NEVER a good thing. It was interrupted and the Andromeda had to restart the sequence all over again. The sequence only took 15 seconds... But that was problematic in combat. VERY problematic. It had no choice. It had two stop the attacks raining down on it, especially this new bot that just entered the field. The Big O was really, really big, and much more dangerous than the Andromeda's pilot supposed. He would not underestimate this enemy again. Dodging out of the field of explosions left behind by his cannon, he smashed into one of the light fighter craft and blasted a hole in its hull, breaking the air seal and de-pressurizing the internal space. Then, the mech fired its thrusters, spinning around FAST and protecting itself from impacts of the enormous energy cannon by the light craft for the time being. The moment the light ship began to disintegrate was the Andromeda's sign for action. The cannon lit up again, fully charged for the next shot and the black mech with red lines blinking all over it shot away from the light craft which could no longer support the defense against such a heavy attack as the newest energy weapon it pulled out. So, again entering dodging phase, the Andromeda shot like a bullet from its position, its thrust HUMONGOUS as it rocketed past the battleship, despite the tractor beam STILL holding onto it. Or was it holding on? It was barely able to track the Andromeda's movements, but it was locked on. Except for one minor problem... The energy of it FLOWED around the Andromeda, around a shield that was purely based on electromagnetic principles. The Andromeda's only active shield defense. It was on its home turf, outer space. It might not be able to use some of its systems, but others were built purely for space. The thruster power, now meeting no aerial pressure, switched to maximum mode, letting those tiny-looking thrusters on a 15-foot-tall mech blast enough power for a SINGLE one of those thrusters to move a mech four times its size at high speeds in outer space. However, that raised a question... HOW in the WORLD was the pilot capable of handling a constant pressure of so many G-forces? Dancing still, evading every blast, every bullet, the Andromeda finally passed the battleship, aligned itself... And raised up its weapon, maximizing power. This would put the weapon offline for a good minute until it fully recharges from the mech, but it was worth it. The barrel GLOWED red, almost like a flaring star, all of its energy collecting in the coil around the barrel as it again began to spin, faster and faster and faster, the energy level rising every second to the very maximum of what the metal and materials could withstand... And it fired, letting out a blinding-red beam of laser energy, a beam of around 1 meter in diameter but ultimately focused. It might not have seemed like much, since the sizes in comparison to that beam were huge, but it was the maximum power output from the weapon in a single beam instead of a splitter. And it was heading for the battlecruiser. If it did not manage to move out of the way, the mean would go through its shields, through IT and out the back, aimed in a direct line of fire to catch the battleship, the heavy support ship behind it AND the Big O. At the same time, the Andromeda again activated its hyperjump systems... (Update #2 on Andromeda is complete. As for what is going on, this is a superfocused beam. It might not cause a lot of internal damage, but in space, it is dangerous because of threats of depressurization. On the ground, this attack causes much less havoc and it does not make things explode. Just melt, unless it hits something vital.) |

New Gettysburg "You sonuva..." Avenger muttered as he saw the blast headed straight for him. He quickly took the controls, and barely, BARELY, dodged the attack. Not completely, however. One of RAY's legs was damaged, but not enough that it couldn't heal itself. He then booted up the communication system. "Guess again, dirtbag. I'm a bit better than you thought." He growled through the microphone. "Of course, like you know a damn thing about me." He then pressed a few buttons on the control panel, and gritted his teeth. "I had no real intent to take you down. I just wanted to smack ya back to your senses... But if its a fight you want... Then you've got it!" He yelled as RAY's side-lasers started firing rapidly at the Sporkmech. |

I can't see what you're imagining
|
-New Gettysburg- “You don’t know your mech that well, you have little experience in fighting within a giant robot, Avenger,” Spork said, “I went over every part of this mech to find out just what it can do, and improve it. You had Eddie slap on a few improvements then took it nearly straight into battle.” His mech shifted, flying to the side, Avenger’s attack flying past him. A few switches flipped by themselves, AGoI employing the use of his Custard Aura within the cockpit, smirking slightly as his modified mech put away the laser, then held up it’s hand, clenching them, as fire burned around it’s fist. A lever was pushed forward, and The Spork charged straight at Avenger! |

welcome to the famous disco night

New Gettysburg "OH SH-" was all that was heard as the fist plowed into RAY's face, absolutely shattering several parts in the facial mechanism, including the machine gun. Inside, Avenger had been thrown out of his chair, due to the sheer force of impact diminishing any hold his seatbelt had on him. "Something isn't right here..." He muttered, rubbing the back of his now slightly busted head. As the tiny cut slowly dripped down his face, he came to the realization that the Professor, and to an extent, his gut, were right. He wasn't ready for this, and thus, blinded by rage, he had pretty much put himself on death row. He clenched his fists, and let out a demonic howl. "I may be outclassed... But I'll definitely give you something to remember me by..." He growled, struggling to get back to his chair. He then reached over, and activated the most powerful attack he had. "Rest... In... Pieces..." He groaned as the Hydro Cutter fired! |

I can't see what you're imagining

-New Gettysburg- The Spork smirked, thrusting a joystick in his right hand abruptly to the right, his mech moving thusly, the Hydro Cutter spiraling past him. “Please, I already knew you were charging that weapon. You’re making no move to hide your actions. I don’t need Eddie for me to program this machine…” (Since Avenger asked…) The Spork in his mech flew forward, fiery hands grabbing Ray’s right arm, crunching in and ripping it off, bringing it around and to smash in the mech’s ‘head.’ Spork was literally beating Avenger’s mech with his own arm. “You are a Custard-I Avenger!” Spork yelled, releasing the arm and pulling out a large cylinder on his mech, flicking it on, a white glow coming from it, a giant spork shaped laser sword, “Yet I see little proof for it!” Blasting downwards, the Spork’s modified mech sliced, taking off Ray’s right leg, “You’re rash, jump to conclusions, don’t think things through. A Custard-I must think before acting, a Custard-I must know his strengths and weaknesses. The left hand of Spork’s mech slammed forward, smashing into Ray’s left arm now, and pulled, the creaking of metal unheard in the vacuum of space, pulling it off in a matter of seconds, leaving Avenger with a single leg. The Spork flew back some, as Ray was more or less defenseless now, and pulled out the cannon from earlier. “It’s no wonder then why Pibb asked me then…” The Spork said more quietly, “You don’t understand why I am here. Now, I’ll give you once chance. Give up, go home. You’ll live. Or I can fire this laser at you. Choose.” |

I'll bite your legs off!

Gasp Orbit The Andromeda's beam caught the corporate fleet completely off-guard. It blasted through the hull of the battleship it targeted, but simply pass through it, without hitting any vital systems. Although the damage done to it was severe, the penetrated decks were sealed off, and, although crippled, the battleship continued firing at the Andromeda. The support ship, on the other hand, was a different story. The Andromeda's beam scored a direct hit on its main power core. The result: the support ship exploded in a huge ball of flame, raining debris on the already-damaged battleship. However, time was not on the Andromeda's side. The longer it fought, the more of Gasp's orbital defense fleet arrived to engage it, the more the metaphorical noose was tightened around its neck. Still more battleships were positioning themselves to unleash the full, combined force of their gravity well generators on it... ...if it remained for much longer, it would find its window of opportunity to escape was closed and sealed... Deep space The Normandy emerged from hyperspace. Over its intercom, Didymus's voice could be heard: "Mech pilots, to the briefing room." |

New Gettysburg (Dude. That was PERFECT.) Avenger slumped against the back of the control room, confused and astonished at what had just taken place. He knew the Professor could be evil, but this was downright insane. He then tried to at least crawl back to his captain's chair, but he could barely move. The impact from the hits sent him flying every-which-way throughout the room, and he felt like he broke every single bone in his body. The worst pain for him, though, was what he was about to do. "Finish... Me... Off... I don't care anymore..." He muttered through the somehow-still-working microphone, reaching for the oxygen tank he had next to him, just in case he did survive. |

Gasp Orbit Now was the moment of truth. The Andromeda fired up its thrusters again, performing almost otherworldly dances between the shots aimed at it, skimming along the bottom of the battleship, heading right into the fireball that remained of the support ship, its hyperdrive systems still activating. 7... The mech spun a circle, dodging two laser shots that were aimed at it. 8... Another spin in the opposite direction to avoid a lock-on by a tractor beam and a sudden strafe as two more lasers shot the point where the mech has just been a millisecond ago. 9... the fireball expanded as the Andromeda zig-zagged towards it, lasers and driver shots raining down upon it from all sides as more and more of the fleet arrived. Who thought that a SINGLE MECH could cause so much trouble? 10... The Andromeda entered the fireball and debris field of the support ship, the fluctuating heat throwing off the mid-space heat-seeking missiles. It shot straight forward now, right through the center, dodging debris. 11... A driver round penetrated the debris field and almost scored a hit, the pilot's reactions all that saved him from starting the sequence over, the shot whizzing by. 12... Barely avoiding the impact of the Big O's cannon, the Andromeda had to counter-boost in the oppisite direction, changing its path upwards and out of the debris field. 13... Lasers homed in on the just-revealed mech that was now almost in the very center of the fleet, surrounded on all sides by fighters and ships that would take it out in seconds. 14... The Andromeda dodged the first few shots with ease, swooping in a spiral as the Gravity Wells activated on the opponent ships... But the Andromeda continued to dodge. 15! And in a show of light, the Andromeda entered hyperspace in a flare of blue and white energy, pulling on the fabric of space and entering the sub-dimensional pathway pre-created by the on-board computer. This was why it took 15 seconds to activate the hyperjump: since it was a personal jump gate, the computer had to set a specific pattern and path to go in so the Andromeda would actually end up where it needed to be, and even with the most powerful computers it took time. However, just before it went, any sensor ship within the vicinity picked up a strange signature from the Gravity Well's area of effect. Upon hitting the Andromeda, they stumbled on a localized Zero-Gravity Field centered on the Andromeda's core and surrounding it in a personal "field", rendering the wells completely ineffective. But the Andromeda was gone and already on its way back towards Avalon Space. (Well, now you know why it's so dodgy and quick.) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Avalon Orbit It barely took a minute to get from one point to another as a rather scorched-looking Andromeda popped out of a personal Hypergate. It looked... Beat up would be a good word for it. Several dents in armor could be seen by anyone close enough and it had enough scorch marks on its armor to be considered one big burn or blister. The weapon it held gained a blue light to it as electrical surges began to recompress it back into the localized transdimensional storage in which the Andromeda kept all of its secondary weaponry. It immediately went for communication as it neared the Avalon Moon. "This is the NL Andromeda, returning from combat zone. Requesting permission to land." |

Avalon Orbit The Andromeda, or, at least, its cargo, was scanned, and, briefly, the Andromeda recieved a reply. "Welcome back, Andromeda. We've got a tug heading to your position, it'll take those bacteria containers off your hands. We're transferring your fee into your account as we speak. You have permission to land on the moon here. Transmitting landing coordinates now...and Andromeda-thanks. Our reasearch on what you've got there may save a lot of lives." Of course, the officer speaking was unsure if "Mr. Andromeda" was concerned with such things, but he said it anyway. |

Avalon Orbit The pilot allowed its cargo to be scanned, a large, glass pod of SOMETHING, floating in a magnetic storage in its small available cargo space. After the tug was sent towards it, the mech allowed it to come close and opened the storage compartment, lifting up its entire booster array to release the pod from magnetic storage and set it afloat for the tug to pick up. As the pickup finished, the Andromeda re-set its booster array and headed towards the moon. "I am glad to be of service to the Federation, especially for such a cause. Over and out." And the Andromeda moved quickly into position, entering the moon's gravitational field and allowing itself to settle slowly into the docks. Even now, as he settled, one could see that the dents were somehow smaller than they were before, the scratches not as frequent, the burn marks not as dull-looking. It was repairing itself, ever so slowly. Not enough to be efficient in combat as an active repair system, but just enough to escape the need for active repairs on the mech by local engineers. In minutes, the pilot was again in the mercenary office, patiently waiting for his turn for his next mission. |

-New Gettysburg- The beam charged up, ready to blast away the mech, but The Spork paused. He might be evil, he might be manipulative, and egotistical. But he was not a murderer. He lowered the power on the beam, then fired, point blank at Avenger. It shouldn’t be enough to kill him, but the already damaged mech was hit one last time… |
