Well, as you may or may not have noticed, the image of the site has changed subtly. If you have any questions, check the FAQs first; then come here and ask if you still have more. If you are having a technical problem, or an image fails to show up correctly, then let me know. Let me know if you like this skin here. I am open to criticism and suggestions, to a point. One of the purposes of this redo was to give the site a 'professional yet friendly' feel; let me know if there's anything you think needs to be improved on to meet that.~BR |

Suggestion! I know you were asking before about transparency for stuff, but now seeing the placement of some of the stuff that you made transparent, I don't believe you even need to make some of that stuff transparent (such as the top banner, and maybe also the various reply buttons, too, but that would probobly be the limit). All you'd need to do is change the background color in your source-file to the blue color prevalent in the background clouds picture (just open the clouds pic in fireworks, and use the eye-dropper to find the exact color-code), or whatever color is behind what you have transparent. Then you could export the pics in a non-GIF format, and have everything look even better than it does now, and more like how you originally wanted (plus, you can add shadows and all that stuff, have the gradients look smoother than GIF format could ever allow, and also easily get rid of those stray white-pixels on some of the curved things). Technically, that's cheating for transparency, but I don't think anyone will care, since it will likely look exactly like it's transparent. |

Ooooh, EXCELLENT idea, DP! >:3 The color code is 1936DC; I know it offhand. ![]() Yeh, quite a few images were messed up by the transfer to GIF; so let's see... I can change the Report/Edit buttons, but not the buttons on the bottom of posts; I could maybe change the Markers, but then they'd show up wrong in the box that tells you what does what. I'll change some stuff for sure, though. I'll be back later to do that. Thanks, DP! And glad you like it! ![]() EDIT: Okay, I made some changes! I think I'll keep the Report/Edit/Quote buttons as they are, and probably the forum markers too; though I'll be deleting those white smidgens by hand. ^_^; I'll do some more later, but I have more surprises to work on now. >:3No problems with loading times or anything? Or image viewing? No white boxes? |

What?! The banner is there for me! Screenshot, por favor? This is why we're doing this now: to prevent this kinda thing. No banner? Woah. |

Well, thank you! I've also updated other things. >:3 Keep looking around. I have several more updates planned, too...As for the banner, the reason for that is the size of the image. Not the So, I can maybe try stuff... but first... (1) Anybody else having this (or any other) problem? (2) DP, any ideas? ^_^; |

Ok. Now I can only see the banner when I'm looking at a thread. It's gone when I'm: - Posting - On the main page - doing anything else Only when I'm in a thread can I view it. |

I have absolutely no idea what could be wrong, other than possibly an issue specific to a certain browser. Sooooo, what browser are you using, GS? EDIT:
Great quote!

I'm using Yahoo. I have AOL as well, but I won't have that much longer, and I like yahoo better anyway. It's fine with me if it never gets fixed for me. It's just a banner, and I can still see it while in threads. Now if the buttons didn't work or something I'd be irritated, but seriously, no biggie. |

... I never even knew Yahoo had a browser... I'll see what I can look up about that one (to see if it's similar to any of the browsers I have on my computer), but considering you are the only one who is having this problem thus far, it might just be the browser. |

Try Mozilla Firefox. It's a free download, can find 'em on Google, and is the safest, most effective browser I've seen in a while. Scores of features too. ;D Of course, I now use the Apple browser, but if I was still using my new comp, I'd be using Firefox. It pwns. :3 If it still gives you trouble, I'll figure something out. ^^; And if it is just the browser, then I don't think I need to fix anything. ![]() And I have more to come!

Yeeeeeeah. If I owned this computer, I'd download firefox. If I download it at this time, then I won't have access to a computer until I can buy my own, and CPoC will be back before that time I'd guess. So by doing that the site loses another administrator -- namely me -- for several, several months. So I won't be doing that. It's FINE. The only problem is I can't see the banner on certain pages. it's not a big deal at all. |

I'll be back later to do that.
