Okie dokie. Now, the picture is now pasted in Paint. Go up to the "File" menu, then click "Save As" Click for Picture of what I'm talking about In the window that pops up, name the picture with whatever name you want, in the text box next to "File name:" (by default, the text box will likely have "untitled" written in it). Also, in the box below, labeled "Save as Type", click the arrow next to it, and select "JPEG" (you could also select gif or png, but jpeg will work best for this application, due to the large size of the picture). Click for Picture of what I'm talking about Also take note of the box on the top of the window that popped up, labeled "Save In." By default, it would likely be set to save the picture in your "My Pictures" folder, which should be easy for you to get to. (if it isn't set there, then click the arrow in that box, and select "Desktop" as where you want the picture saved). Once you are done with this, click the big button that says "Save" Now your pic is saved on your computer. Next up, to put it on Imageshack... Go to http://imageshack.us/. Then click the button that says "Browse". A window will pop up similar to the one that came up when you saved the picture. Look up top, for the box labeled "Look In", and it should say "My Pictures" (which was the folder you saved the pic in). If it doesn't say that, click the arrow, and navigate to "My Pictures" (you may have to navigate first to "My Documents", and then double click the "My Pictures" folder in the part of the window showing all the files in each folder, to do this). ((Also note, that if you saved the picture in the "Desktop" folder, that you'd have to set the "Look In" box to "Desktop", instead of "My Pictures")) Now, you should be in the My Pictures, and all you have to do is find the file for the picture you saved, and click on it once. The name of the file should appear in the text box labeled "File Name". Once you have selected the correct file, then press the big button that says "Open". The window should disappear. Now, just click the button on the Imageshack page that says "Host It", and wait for it to upload. In the page that will appear afterwards, there will be a great number of links, but the only one you should care about is the URL that's in the text box labeled "Direct Link to Image". Copy that url, and paste it in a post, between IMG tags, such that it looks similar to this, only with the Direct Link URL you copied in between the IMG tags, instead of the image I put between the tags.
in a post, the above appears like this: ![]() I hope this is of some help, because I cannot explain it better than this (plus, my dinner is beckoning me ).BR: Thanks, DP. You just solved this and other future problems. ;D Text copyright DarkPhazon. |
