James Webster’s late drop goal ensured the bragging rights for supremacy in the city of Hull remain on the east of the river as Hull Kingston Rovers defied the elements and a late Hull FC comeback to win the 203rd Humber derby. Full Story ii backed HullKR to win this one, shocking FC performance, until the last 15mins tho imo however you could say their defending was ok!!... |

Providing we should have slotted over 2 goals that both hit the posts, the match was terrible and the worst ive seen this year in the entire Super League. Poor conditions, and IMHO neither side was allowed to play to their full capabilities, so im completely undecided as to who really is the best team in Hull at the moment. Just wait until its summer rugby at the KC Stadium. A fair result yesterday would have been a draw, but Rovers simply got the rub of the green. Im glad I couldn't get tickets to go now, because the weather looked apauling! However a defeat is still a defeat, and we need to start picking up some victories pretty soon otherwise making the top 6 will become a pipe dream. I think Motu Tony answered the critics superbly aswell and showed exactly why he was selected as the new full back as opposed to keeping Briscoe. No offence to Briscoe yesterday because he played well, but Motu was everywhere! Paul King had a great game, as did KR's Michael Vella, what a work horse! Bragging rights do hurt but im more then confident that it will be a case of 'he who laughs last, laughs loudest!' Dicko. |
