PAUL Cooke's return for the derby adds "extra spice" to a game Gareth Raynor can't wait to come around. The 30-year-old is predicting a fiercely competitive match when his Hull FC side meet Hull KR on Good Friday. The return from suspension of his old Hull team-mate Paul Cooke has given a big boost to Rovers' preparations, but Raynor believes it raises the anticipation levels for the much-hyped match. "I can't wait for it, it's going to be a close and tense game" "The games have been spicy in the past and with Cookie coming back it's going to have that extra something special this time around." "Even though we've played four times now the shine hasn't gone off it at all, it's another sell out and that proves people aren't getting bored by it, the players certainly aren't." With no fresh injury worries and the team's form slowly turning around, Raynor is confident his side are in good shape going into the first of four derbies. The GB winger believes a derby win can be the catalyst to the start of an impressive run that will lift Hull back up to where they belong. He added: "We feel we have had our run of bad luck and things are starting to turn around for us. We are confident of getting on a run now and getting FC back where we belong, right up the table. "We are going in with a bit of momentum behind us, hopefully we can keep some fit bodies and we have people coming back week by week, which is a plus point too." |

Raynor's hair is imense! He reminded me of the character Simon Phoenix from 'Demolition Man'! Re. Cooke returning.... It will add fuel to the fire, but he'll be rusty as hell imo and wont be a match for super Dykes and Berro!

It looks like one of the lads swapped Raynors shampoo for bleach! No one's owning up to it tho. |
