After a 1 year break, (no ive not been sunning it in Barbados!) Rugby League Today is back with a bang! No doubting that we have lost a hell of a lot of solid members who used to use the forums on a daily basis, but this time we are more clued up on everything around us, and with a lot more experience in the game. Over the next month, the forums will be customised and will eventually start to return to what we used to define as 'normal'. One thing we are keyed up on this time around however is advertising. After a previous suspect in the field of 'spamming', RLT is 100% against this, and as such will work around marketing in different vains as of 2008. For those who are in the dark about why we closed, it was mainly down to strong competition, a lack of motivation and desire on the part of the staff, and after a hack to the forum as a whole. We did indeed have over 90,000 posts at one point, but we lost a great deal of posts and members and that's the reason we have just under the 50,000 mark now, and the 50k represents old threads from just over a year ago, many of which are hidden in old forum folders. So, thanks for reading and I hope you can enjoy a new forum on the go, (mark 2) The Gaffer. |
