just thought that after the past few weeks the forum could really do with a boost and i think it would be usefull (particularly to whoever takes over from Dicko) for members to put forward there ideas on how RLT can be improved. Speaking as a member i hope im not treading on anyones toes here but i think it could help, especially after last weeks chaos with the hacking and general disturbances. I hope that after the past few weeks the forum has learned one or two lessons. Whats annoyed me a little over the past year or so is that new members to the site have been made moderators very quickly and ive never quite understood why, many of them have clearly not moderated the forum at all and some have have had a negative impact on the forum also, we all know who they are. I hope that in future, people who are made moderators have earned that right over the course of time, people should have to prove that they are up to the task. Its almost as if people have been made moderators in order that they return to the forum regularly which isn't right imo and the site has paid the price for this and so have its members. Another issue is the people who become members and don't post, it looks very suspicious to me and im sure other members are wondering if these people actually exist? Thats my two pennys worth, im sure other people will have their own suggestions. |

I think its a good idea that people put suggestions and ideas to improve the forum after recent events. When Dicko chose his staff he thought he was doing right at the time. It is only now that he has realised that some people were not up to the job. Defending my pozition i used the forum regularly before becoming a moderator, and Dicko knows me and i know him personally. |

I have made some bad moves when it comes down to choosing staff now. But as Dusty is the main man now it is him who will be choosing who he takes on. I think the current staff on board, Emma, Chris and Shanny are doing a fantastic job, but I think Dusty will need some help to boost forum activity in general so if anybody wants a shot at helping, give him a bell and im sure he wont mind going over things with you. Dicko. |

as Dicko said i will be open to anybody who wants to help or as any ideas on improving the site. as Dicko as all ready mentioned the moderators who are doing a cracking job but i will need some more help as there are now possitions availible. so if anybody as any ideas on the forum feel free to p.m me with those and we can disguse them as i have said before we all need to contribute to get the forum back to what it was. so if you have any ideas Lacuna i will look forward to hearing from you on what you have to say. |

i think it would be better if guests could see the forum before they register or log in, most people wont join if they cant have a look round what they are joining. |

Just to make it clear i think that all of the current moderators are doing a good job, its just been a few that have let the forum down in the past in one way or another. |

I have implented that service for members now for all those who make 10+ posts. Go to 'My Controls' and than on the left panel, scroll down to the 'Personal Profile' section and click on 'Edit Profile Info'. When that page has opened, the top box entitled 'Custom Member Title' will allow members to write what ever that want to be shown as they're new member title. Thanks, Dicko. |
