Another Ripoff!

Once again I will show my dissatisfaction that the following story is found on a news site, rather than a sports site, but it's funny as hell and to tell you the truth, very much expected.......

SkybloodyNews(sports section, otherwise known as main headlines)

<pmsl> Go on Becks, do the Wigan walk

Honestly what is it with sporting "stars" these days moving to other clubs for a ludacris amounts of money but yet say that they arnt going there for the money ? if they weren't going there for the money then why don't they take pay cuts ?

Another Ripoff!

The world revolves around money, stupidly.

I'd never play football professionally, it's a sport for pathetic wusses, but if I was a professional RL player, I'd stay under the 20/25 rule all the time. Anybody can live on less than £20k if they tried.

I don't know whether to blame Beckham or not.

Only an idiot (or an American) would pay a guy that much money, and only an idiot would refuse it. I know I'd take that sort of money if I were offered it.

At the same time though, Beckham's arrival has completely blown their salary cap out of proportion. The parity in the league will be lost as the team with the most money will dominate. If there was any chance of the Americans becoming a force in football, it will be lost by becoming a European retirement home...

But that could be a good thing
