Look at the comparison: Aebischer 28 years old 25-14-2 2.98 GAA .900 SV% Theodore 29 years old 17-15-15 3.46 GAA .881 SV% |

Well you can't really blame Theodore. Being in Colorado will give him a fresh start. It was hard for him in Montreal when his teamates, coaching staff, and home crowd had no faith in him. A trade to Colorado is just what he needs. But without a doubt, there will never be another Roy. |

I thikn it was a solid trade on both ends. Theo may be having a troubled season, but he'll bounce back, especialy knowing when he comes back he'll be the #1 guy. |

Good trade for Montreal's point of view, O.K trade from Colorado's point of view. Both great goalies, Aebiesher being more consistent, as well as being younger than Theodore point out good things about him. Theodore definately needs to get on track, and he has, going 3-0 in the playoffs. |

I think it was pretty much an equal trade. Not like either team is really lost especially Montreal where Abeisher isnt even starting now that Huet is hot. |

I'm watching the Dallas Colorado game, and Theodore is having trouble with shoot ins. Right now it's 1-1 though. Lehtinen scored top shelf on Theodore, what a goal! |

....ok me and my friends have been making fun of this trade for months, I mean.. well abisher sucks to be honest, and Theodore on of the greatest goalies to ever play in between the pipes. And also look where the Canadiens are now.. o thats right no where there not in the playoffs at all, and look where the Avalanche are.. in the playoffs up 3-1. |

Canadiens are in the playoffs, and they were leading their series against Carolina 2-0 until Carolina won 2 games in a row. Where are you getting your info? |

Yah, I believe Aebisheir is younger, but if he isn't as good, it doesn't really matter. If he is so much worse than Theodore, he won't be able to improve that much in one year. |

I think that Colorado got killed by this trade. Theodore is injured, and isn't playing good hockey, while David Abeisher is playing fairly well. |

Theodore isn't injured anymore. He has played all playoff games, and is 3-1. He might not be playing good hockey though. Aebiescher isn't really playing a lot too. Huet is mainly getting the call for starting goalie. |

That's true. Huet is a pretty good goalie, and I personally hope that Montreal beats Carolina.

At first I thought the Aebischer/Theodore trade was crazy, considering Thodore was having such a bad season...But he impressed me in the post-season, especially in that 50 save game or something like that...He's getting a new start in Colorado..And now I think Colorado might have got the better end of that trade. |

Colorado definitely got the better end of the trade. Even though Theodore struggled near the end with Montreal, it'll be a big plus with Colorado. |

Theodore caused nothing but trouble with Montreal, and I was glad to see him go. I don't really miss him, anyway. |
