.... and the dust has settled. I personally think a lot of teams got screwed, and that a lot of the are going to do horrible without some of their key players. The team chemistry will be garbage all around as everyone is getting settled in. Seems to happen every year....

Well I can, I am not too happy about some of the trades, and I hate it when you see some of your favorite players who are also on your favorite team, get traded away.

Being a Habs fan, I'm pretty satisfied. We didn't loose anybody important... well, our 10 -year veterain goaltender... We got back a nice young swiss Goaltender, David Aebischer. We also picked up that defenceman, Todd Simpson from Chicago, never hurts to have some more depth on defence you know.
As for around the leauge, I'm happy with what the leafs did, it shows confidence in your team, and whatever the fans in leafs nation say, they would have regreted to see a blockbuster trade, people pay good money to see Matts and Eddie and McCabe every night, they woulda' missed em'.

I like Washington mostly because of Ovechkin, but you would have thought they would have gotten some better players with the past trade. I think it is time they also got a new goalie. But I still think Theodore is going to much better in Colorado. Somehow faith was lost in him. Theodore for Aebischer seems like a fair trade stat-wise, but Aebischer still has a lot to learn, Theodore just an all around goalie. Still a nice aquirement to Colorado, as Aebischer is to Montreal.

Yeah you're right, Aebischer for Theodore is one of the very few equal trades.

You know I heard a saying once... When both sides think they won, its a good trade, I think that applies here.

They think they won, doesn't mean they did. Lol. I heard that before too.

I think of all the trades, probably the Aebeischer-Theodore trade was the biggest. I also think that Montreal got the better of the trade, getting a better goalie, and a more consistent goalie. Too bad they're not using him in the playoffs, instead they're using Huet. Canadiens are up 2-1 on Carolina though. Theodore's played for the Avalanche all of the playoff games I think, and Colorado is doing good, leading 3-0 on Dallas.
