I read somewhere that Amre is changing his numebr from 32 to 1 for a fresh new start: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2459075 What you guys think about this? Do you think it was necessary? |

First Kobe Bryant now Amare. It's probably for a fresh start. His injury this year limited him to playing and wants to start fresh. Still, not a good reason to have a number swap. its up to him

Changing your # is never neccesary unless your Ron Artest <_< . I don't care about the change, but then again I hate it when players change their numbers because all of the jerseys us the fans wear are no longer good. |

I don't understand why a number would mean a fresh start? Its a fu**ing number you know? It means nothing really. Its just used to tell who is who on the court. |

It's a real hassle for fans... We need to buy new jerseys, but players don't care. I guess as fans, we just need to support them but not so much that we need to spill our bank account. But Amaire's excuse is alrite.. at least the number means something

kobe 8--->24 Amare 32---->1 This is just stupid. Not necessary at all. Does he think that a new # will prevent him from getting injured again...Nothing wrong with 32 |

Like already mentioned, this doesn't serve a purpose. David Stern should put some rule against changing numbers, everyone's going to be doing it soon |
