1. Please DO NOT Spam. Example of Spam: One Guy: Hey 2nd Guy: hi 3rd Guy: how r u? 4th Guy: sup! i love ur character!!! XD And it continues on and on until it gets to the point of ban and other punishments. This is very serious stuff. This will get you 10% warned. So please don't spam 2. Please DO NOT Flame any member or staff 3. NO porn or sex related materials in your sigs or posts. 4. You must get approved before you can go on the RP, and their is no god-modding at all. 5. -No profanity. No racial, ethnic, gender insults or any other discriminations. No offensive or harmful posts/PMs. 6. Use proper Grammar and Spelling. No Text Talk. (SPAM) 7. DO NOT Double Post in any forum. 8. Start from the beginning. If you are a Jedi, start at Padawan. If you are a Sith, start as an Apprentice. There is no "Ultimate Character. Most likely any Moderator will not approve your profile or will ask you to change it. 9. Don't register with just symbols (!@#$%^&*() or Numbers). Be creative and have fun. Star Wars characters names are allowed but you're not allowed to RP them. Due to we are in another time period. *Any profanity or advertising/email usernames will be removed and banned if you broke a rule. 10. God-Modding is PROHIBITED. If you do this, you will be banned or warned. See Rule #12 11. No cursing. If we see this, you will be banned or warned. If you see anybody doing this, report it to any Staff member. 12. No god-modding. Nobody wants to role play with a person who always wants to win. For example: "Spade ran outside the Jedi Temple and killed the young padawan". That is pointless and wrong. You can do it if the other person who is RP'ing the padawan or whatever wants to kill his/her character off, don't do this. 13. Do not ask to become an administrator. It wont happen. If you ask to become an admin or part of the staff team, chances for you will be slim. The head admin (Luuke) had tons of PMs saying this. We will PM you, dont worry! See, How to become a Staff member Username Changes * To request a name change, PM any Administrator. * You may request a name change once every 4 months. * You have to have at least 100 posts * You cannot change your user name if you had 2 warnings or got suspended from the forum once. * You may change your member user title once you reach 170 posts. Advertising * You may advertise your forum/website in your sig if you have 300 posts * Advertising in the forum is allowed ONLY in the Advertising forum. - You must have 30 posts before you can advertise there. * Anyone caught advertising with low posts count will get 20% warned. Signature/Avatar Rules * Signatures must be 600 characters long. * Anything to long or wide, or any sig messes up the forum display will get 10% warning and the sig will be removed. * You may have anything in your sig but NO porn/sex or racism. Advertising is only permitted if you have 300 posts or more. NO links to porn, sex, racism, or violence sites/forums. * Avatars must be 130x130 * No sex, racism, porn in Avatars * Can be anything you want. - Doesn't have to be Star Wars. Star Wars United Staff The Star Wars United Staff (Luuke, Xantalus, Aeaolen Kicka, Lord Vero, Nito Jarel, Trosk, and Kyro Marth) have the right to do anything necessary to keep this forum safe, clean, and fun. Please do not flame them or threat them. You will get banned and reported to Invisionfree. No they do not get paid. The staff team is also known as the Council.
Becoming part of the Council. (The Staff team)
* Only those who follow the rules and had a 10% or less warnings may become a Council member. * If the Council are interested in you, we will PM you and ask if you want to become a mod. * New Council seatings will be held once every month, or if someone quits. * In order to become part of the staff: - You must be active - Don't break any rules/Have one warning or less. - Have a good relationship with members and staff members - And had 100 posts or more. Consequences If you break a rule you will get these penalties 1st- 10% Warn 2nd- 20% Warn, PM, and Mod Query for 5 days 3rd- 50% warn, PM and 3 day suspension ban, Mod Query for 1 week 4th and last- 100% warn and permanent ban. The warning differ for different rules.
The Official SWU RP Guidelines
The rules of the RP are the same as the following above. But their are a few new ones that need to be followed in the forum when RP'ing. 1.- Here are SWU's RPG Basics: To start out with, create your character. Make a nice creative character that you want. A Sith or a Jedi, or a Bounty Hunter who wants to kill, whatever! Your choice! Have fun with it! When you start a RP topic. First come up with a creative name that sums up the story then write whoever you want to RP with you in the description area. If you like for everyone to join, say OPEN. This is also for training your character. Say CLOSED, if you just want to train yourself alone. Don't god-mod, this doesn't get you anywhere. Just makes you like a n00b and a idiot. ;) Here is how you RP in Star Wars United: Correct Way: Spade ran to the Jedi Temple. Sweet was dripping from his forehead when he saw two powerful Sith Lords chasing him. "Where's my lightsaber?" Wrong Way: Spade: Ha! Sith Lords! Sith Lord 1: Get Him! Sith Lord 2: lets! As you can see the wrong way of RP'ing has less description and detail. This is prohibited in SWU. Use the correct way, more detailed and valid. Misc/Other Features: To pause the RP and talk. You must do: (( before you talk and )) after you talk Or OOC: (Out of Character) To return to the RP say IC: (In Character) or just continue after (( )) 2.- Do not kill someone if you are weak. Post counts and levels are determined how strong you are. 0 Posts- Very, Very Weak 50 Posts - Weak 100- Somewhat weak 10,000- VERY STRONG! See the difference if a member with 0 posts kills the 10K member? Yeah, this is a big one. You will get a 10% warning for god-modding.
