I know... I haven't been around in... FOREVER!! O_O
But, I thought I would try and keep in touch! ^^;

Anyways, I don't know if you know, but the HBP was suppose to come out in Nov. but they pushed the movie's coming out because of the Twilight Movie... They've pushed the date of the HBP to JULY! o_O Yeah, That is the first time that this has really ever happened. I know the Twilight book was a big hit, but NO SERIES of books can beat the fandom that is Harry Potter! So yeah, the Twilight movie has Cedric in it, but that don't mean nothing! *growls*

Yeah! So, what do you think.... Will this movie kick more @$$ than Twilight? I believe this movie will be better than the others... Of course, OotP was my favorite book, but I like HBP too! I actually can't wait to see what's in the movie... and what's out! ~_~

first off: HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

hopefully you come back on haha.

I am SO upset about the set back. I don't read twilight so I am not at all excited about the movies. So I have to suffer. But I mean, July is so far away, almost a full year away. Why push it back that far. Why not bring it out in January or February or something?

HP will kick Twilights ass in my mind lol

they didn't push it back because of the Twilight movie. Twilight was originally set to come out in december, they pushed their date up to Nov 21 once they heard HBP was being moved to July. They know that there was no way that they could've made the same amount of money if they released the same day as Harry Potter.

Bloodymental!

I have a grin on my face man. I'm so glad to see you post again. Like Jnet said you better e-mail us and catch up and the like.

Jnet is very right about what she said about Twilight and why they pushed it back.

Tha main reason they pushed it back was because this summer has been insanely blockbuster filled and next summer isn't as big so they wanted to capture the same magic as the Dark Knight by going for July.

So yeah!

it's all about the money man, all about the money.

personally i don't see it as "harry potter is gonna kick twilight's ass" or the other way around, mainly cause i like me some twilight as well, got into the series a few months back. they both have a special place in my heart. and you can't even begin to compare the two series, they're so different from each other. i hate when people try to make it up like there's some sort of rivalry between the two fandoms. irks me to no end

So long as it stays at July, I am quite content. I'm among those in costume at the theatre for the midnight premere. Though given the fact that they've started the commercial for it with a date I highly doubt that WB wants to piss off that many hp fans.

Imma making me a Ravenclaw uniform to run around in. For OotP there was a group in the Gryffindor Quittich robes...I wonder if they'll be back.

In a note to Twilight, I was talking to a friend at a nerdfest (it wasn't HP related sadly) but we got onto the topic of the HBP premere, I asked her if she was going and she said that after what she heard about the Twilight premere she wasn't sure she wanted to go. I had to spend about a half hour explaining to her that HP fans know when to shut up. We're much more sophisticated and wait to geek out about what we've seen until the credits start rolling. I saw Twilight about a week/two after it came out with Meez and the thing was FULL of girls between 11 and 15. There were a few parents and a few guys that got suckered into going by their gfs. Thankfully, someone else was telling the squealing girls to shut up so we didn't have to. They cheered when the previews started, they cheered when the HBP preview came on (though that was just the few, myself included, that were originally HP fans before reading Twilight), when the previews ended, when teh opening credits ended, and when Edward showed up.

I compared my experience with all my experiences with Harry Potter. The only cheering was when the movie finally started, but where I went the movies got a little delayed simply because all the theatres were packed and they had to get everyone seated. All squeals were released before handing over the ticket and once the credits started rolling. Discussions could be heard everywhere. I have to say that Harry Potter has a much more mature audience, like those that grew up with it and most fans are out of high school and the ones that aren't know how to act becaues they most likely have a parent/older sibling/ other relative that got them into it and were taught how to act.

And I find it kinda funny that two HBP commercials ran in the background durring the time it took me to type all this >.<
