Anyone for tennis? Posts: 654 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: March 23, 2006	I was reminded this morning by 'her who never forgets a date' that today marks a significant period in our lives where we are five years older than we were when we first got our passports stamped in Brisbane. Shocking! Then we played a game that was even more shocking. Knowing how slow life can be at times we tallied up the things we've done in the last five years. I was horrified! In a nice kinda way... No one could accuse us of wasting our new lives. Beginning all over again takes a lot of guts and determination. For many, this first hurdle is the one that catches them out. New place, new people, new rules, new job, new home, lost friends and so much bloomin' paperwork! But now, it's easier than ever. We've become acclimatised to Queensland, although the overwhelming amount of bureaucracy never fails to depress. Has anyone else met a milestone in their new life down under they'd care to discuss? One year? Ten years? Paul

Know what you mean about time passing - my youngest started school last week for the first time whilst my eldest started high school (very emotional time for me). Emily was only 2 when i started working where I am now and to now have Grace starting school, I just don't know where the last 10 years have gone!! BTW Paul - had a quick visit to Santa Pod last weekend for VW Action - had a fantastic time Kim x

I don't think it'll be one-tenth the size, but it'll be good to stretch the Bug's legs in the sunshine under clear blue skies. I was talking (emailing) to someone the other day about Vanfest. They didn't know where I was and when I said it was a little too far to go I don't quite think they understood. Probably thought I lived in Scotland! P.

Remember all the words of the anthem (just in the wrong order...) ? Any photos? Oh my God. I've promised to do the honourable thing next year. People I know either got it after 30, yes 30 years, or still haven't bothered after 30 years here, and have no intention. Fear of court duty? P.
