How lucky are we?

We may be more over-regulated than the UK and more over-taxed, and our choice on most goods is rather limited by comparison to those say living in Europe, but this morning a beautiful Black-striped Wallaby sat proudly in the garden, eating breakfast. I managed to get a few photos and a movie on the digital camera, but these cameras being what they are means the image will be small. However, I did try the old camera through the binoculars trick and maybe I've got a few worthy of printing. We'll see.

By the way, a reputable company calling itself Business-Switch in Sydney has just joined forces with us. So anyone looking to quickly start a business in Australia or learn more about what's involved for when you get here just drop them a line. Here's the link to their page on Koala Konnection: http://www.koalakonnection.com.au/business-start-up.htm

I'll have a look at those wallaby pics later and post up the best.

Really?!?

That's incredible! When I lived near Laidley (you'll have driven by that a few times by now) we had them on our lawns most days.

When I was up driving in Cairns the fields were full of them and on the Sunshine Coast I've even been driving whilst being tracked by a big one as he hopped along the side of the road before diverting off into a field. I won't say they're common around here, as we live on a 'lump' of land that overlooks dense foliage into a valley. But from time to time...
