Thanks for popping by Julie and posting on the forum.

One of our admin crew, Aircon, resides on the Gold Coast - aka Dave. I'm sure he and his wife, Kath, would be happy to meet up and tell you about life in neon city. Actually, although I jest, parts of the Gold Coast are great to visit and have some fun in. I'm not ashamed to say I spent my 40th year at Sea World! It was a scorching day in December and I was dressed appropriately. Trouble is, I was miles from home and hadn't brought a second set of clothing so going somewhere special for a meal with my wife in the evening was a bit of an issue...

Hence, and I've a fit of the giggles now, I spent my 40th in a McDonalds munching on a cheesburger, fries and a hot chocolate.
Fond memories of being forty.

Welcome to the ANLDU forum.
September, eh? Spring time, nice time of the year for your move. Hope to speak to you more in the near future.
I decided to live at Coomera Springs, which is a brand new residential area of Upper Coomera. EVERYTHING is on your doorstep.

Aircon ;)

Thanks for the replies,
It seems strange that when we move in Sept it will be spring!!We validated our visa's last year at the same time and the weather perfect for getting used to a different climate (hopefully this year will be the same ).

I still have trouble accepting Christmas in the winter. In 30 plus degrees! Still, just to help us die-hards out the Aussies go and confuse me further by celebrating Christmas again in July. The decorations are already up in my local town and a night drive is worth it.
