Anyone for tennis? Posts: 647 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: March 23, 2006	Top Gear Australia. Is it just me? I have a real problem with the Australian version of the all singing, all dancing BBC variant. Australia doesn't do 'subtle' very well and the presenters feel the need to shout alot. I'm not stupid and I'm not hard of hearing. Two of the guys also have a dig each week in one form or another about the UK and... Two out of the three have an enormous dislike for the VW 'kombi' - probably the world's first people carrier on a grand manufacturing scale and one that has broken so many records in its life it surely deserves some positive recognition. Perhaps they've just hit a raw nerve with me, or perhaps they just have a problem with cars that aren't propelled by a stonking V8. Fight it they may but the European obsession with anything but prehistoric 8 cylinder motivation is on its way. Australia may want to be *Ors-tralia, but it's also keen to become a bit more chic. A bit more European. I just wish they'd tone it down a little, try not to try too hard ALL the time and expand their horizons beyond the ute. Paul PS Some of their stuff is on You Tube.
