This board has suddenly become a premium board. Wahoooo! How to get email notification of a reply to your posting - saves checking every day. You can also get notified if anyone posts in a forum too! 1. Go to Preferences above in top rh corner Email & Subscription Settings Topic/Forum subscription: alert type: [ (a) No alerts (b) Alerts by PM (c) Alerts by Email ] - Select (c) 2. The next trick is working out how to subscribe. Go to the very bottom of the page (not easy, is it; anyone would think they didn't want you to find it!) and look on the rhs. You need to be in an actual forum or topic to see it, not on the opening page. "Subscribe to this forum". You might see "track this topic" also. I guess this is the same thing. Personally, I'm going to subscribe to all forums, but you can subscribe to as many or as few as you want. Hey, it's hardly busy here so I don't think I'll get too much mail. Well, not until Aircon comes on and blasts the board.. So to recap. It's a 2 stage process. 1. Click on Preferences and do as is already mentioned way above this post. 2. Subscribe as you go. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is... I hear what you're saying and I was about to express my dissatisfaction once again when... Boy do 'they' make it difficult. It's alright to use words like 'easy' in the marketing jargon but realistically this is the most uneasy forum I have ever had the pleasure of being involved in. Trying to find information is nigh on impossible. You're told to use the search system before posting in the 'we can fix it' forums but the search system is always indexing stuff. Fortunately, I fell on this page by luck: http://docs.zetaboards.com/acp/zetaboards_service/zbpremiumpcontrols?s=email%20subscription The important bit is summarised below: Enable email based subscription notifications ZetaBoards Premium offers notifications via email on several areas of your board. These include: New Personal Messages - If you're sent a new PM, you can be sent an email notifying you to the new unread message. New reply to topic - By subscribing to topics, users can opt in to receive an email when the topic receives a new reply. New topic in forum - By subscribing to forums on your board, users can opt in to receive an email when the forum has a new topic posted within it. The word that rings alarm bells is subscribing. You need to subcribe to a forum or a topic to get a reply. Aha! Go on, give it a whirl. Please, no more And you never know, you might just get an email, unless there's another bloomin barrier in the way. PC Pom |

Aha!!! It's a bit like the AdBrits site where you HAVE to subscribe to a thread. Half way there I'd say. Please reply and see if I et a PM now as I am subscribed to this topic.

I figured everyone would first sign in here and see the instruction. Perhaps I can put the destructions (that's what it feels like sometimes) on a separate page. Apparently, we had over 60 visitors yesterday. And about 80 a few days before that. Pity no one posted other than us. Maybe it's time to revamp the titles and make this more of a migration forum (I think that was the original intention but, you know me, got side tracked). Speaking of which, Dave, are you still in Toowoomba? Hoping to go to the Brisbane, Mount Cootha hill climb event over the weekend. Going to have a word with my new pal with the 356 Porsche and ask him what's involved in getting a car into the sport. Thinking of turning my mean machine into a competitive road car. His is a 58 or 59 I think and mine's a 62 so definitely in the same Porsche league. We'll see. Easily side-tracked, like I said...
