OMG. Say no more!

Well, I'm not stopping you. Honest.

OK, as one who earns UK pounds it's a tad demoralising and it must be for those looking to move to Australia. I do feel for you. Well, I would, wouldn't I?

There's nothing for it 'cept a devilish jig

16th June 2009 - edit update - reading the above post will make no sense at all unless you know what the exchange rate was at the time I wrote it. From memory it may have just dipped under the $2:1 mark.

Could a slow recovery be happening?

Having dipped below the psychological $2 barrier to about $1.98, I notice that these last couple of days have seen a rise to $2.02. Anything to do with the budget speech, or the 'after budget' speech?

Either way, I don't really care. So long as it rises and rises and does all those people coming to Australia from the UK or wherever the power of good.

True. I'm off over there for work later in the year. Wonder if it'll still be the same. My gut feeling is that as soon as the UK gets its act together on the political and economic front things may well sort themselves out to the 2.25ish average - although I'm no expert

Brown's in a spot of bother.
