Hi Kim Last night I got off the phone to the UK. It was a business call (boring...) and despite all the doom and gloom on the TV screens of the world and in particular from the UK, the feeling on the phone was of optimism. In fact, little business was actually achieved during that call (well some), but I did have a good chin wag and plenty of laughs. On a day when it's soon to be 35 degrees here (37 in Brissy, just down the road) I know only too well that it's bloomin' freezing in the UK. So wrap up well when doing the last minute gift shopping and thank-you for being part of this very small but genuine , friendly and committed community of wanna be Aussies. From one VW lover to another, take care over Christmas and have the best fun around with friends and family. It shouldn't be long now before you land in Australia. And Russ, you too mate. I'm buggering off for a few days and then may get a chance to post before whizzing off again, so if I'm silent for a while, no more 'Worried of Adelaide' postings, ok? I'll be back soon enough. And mind the sharks, dammit! Best wishes to you all. Paul. |

Bestest Chrimbo wishes to you guys too. Promise not to worry - you have given me a note now Not much gloom and doom here. Was driving back home around 11pm last night and I've never ever seen as many Christmas light shows ,the houses looked lovely. Just trying to getsom boat time in now but the wind is up this weekend, love to get a decent Snapper in for Boxing Day but after reading this report from a local forum I'm a bit wary Quote "This was the best fish either of us had caught from this area and we were hopeful that there might be a few others about and it wasn,t long before i was hooked up again, unfortunately there were also a few big whites in the area and a hooked snapper is an easy meal :'(.This happened about 4 or 5 times to both of us which was pretty disappointing as all of them were also big fish,we were trying to crank them in as fast as we could but we didn,t stand a chance until i boated another about 7k ( they must of gotten distracted)" Have a good un' to all who post and read this forum
