Anyone for tennis? Posts: 647 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: March 23, 2006	It was a freaky week. I think many places got very near to their all time records with cool temps. Apparently the Gold Coast record minimum is 1 degree, so at least you'd have to break a record before you had to break real ice. What do you think of Toowoomba? I really like it. Perhaps it's the grid layout, wide roads and the big parks. I'm easily confused by twisty roads...

Anyone for tennis? Posts: 647 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: March 23, 2006	They have a big flower festival sometime in the year. The Garden City is known for its flowers. The whole place gets booked out and you'll not find a single room free. We went one year and it was fun as they lay on a whole load of other stuff to do if you're not into flowers as much as you think you might be to please the missus. Trouble is, the colour has faded somewhat because Toowoomba has a water problem, so last year's flower festival concentrated on drought tolerant plants, and no doubt the same for this years and next. Anyway, Toowoomba is where we stayed for our first couple of weeks before moving over to the Sunshine Coast. I like to visit in the summer time. I also like it's history and it's big country feel. Thank God I'm a country boy... Yee Ha! JD.
