Hi,

Welcome to the forum guys, great to have you posting. :happythumbs:

We're heading to Adelaide hopefully next summer. We've only just submitted our visa so now we're in the long queue waiting!

Have you ever been over to Taz? We've never been to Oz, but can't wait to get there.

Welcome to the forum.

I've never been to Tassie but hear it is a beautiful place.
It's not high on the list of most people's choices ( not saying there is anything wrong).
What made you choose Tassie - the climate??? :)

G'day!

Nice of you to pop by.

Going to Tassie myself in the summer. Hopefully it'll have warmed up by then.

We're up here in QLD. Been here 4 years. It's great! Not what you'd call cold in the winter and just a little humid in the summer, but nothing to fear.

Crazy or genius? Well, sorry, but just posting on this forum makes you a gate-crashing crazy genius, and that's a good thing!

hi
Thanks all for the reply....

well i have been to tas before, only for the day when i worked on the ships and loved it, but really we were a bit undecided about whether to go for nz or oz so thought taz was the obvious choice.

since then we have looked into it more and realised its definitely the place we want to be.....i love love love the sun but i think even walking to work in 40 degrees heat would become a chore after a while.

and to answer "It's not high on the list of most people's choices " that is more the reason for going there, feels a bit more undiscovered.

we can always go to mainland on holidays...eh!
bye for now

Glad to read you've put some thought into your decision.
40c + is hard to bear here in Adelaide so I know what you mean.
Looks like the settler/explorer in ou will e fulfilled.

When we first arrived in Adelaide it was relatively undiscovered by the UK migrants, people kept asking why we chose here
