we were in aus 5 years ago, but then we were younger wilder and no children, living in suburbs like prahan port melbourne etc...
now we do not know where to live, were looking at areas like williamstown, altona, also santuary lakes, it looks stunning and so affordable. stunning houses for just over 300dollars a week and if you look at area like bentleigh or brighton you would like in one two bedroom box for that money.
personality, we are easy going, 30 years old, i do no form of excercise here in ireland but i hope to get into a spiritual group or yoga or do stuff like that love alternative medicine. also love few drinks, want to meet easy going people etc...
any advice where to live. is there expat community there. steve thinks prob better there cause it is affordable area for young families like us
want to live in area, with stuff to do also creches etc..

Hi Majella

Welcome to the site. Unfortunately can't answer your questions as I'm stuck here in the UK (for now!).

We're heading to Adelaide hopefully next summer. Someone may will be along later who can answer your questions.

Wish you all the best with your impending move, keep us posted on how you get on etc.

All the best.

Hi Majella.

Hang on in there. I would hope that someone reading this from Melbourne will be able to help you. We're a small bunch and thinly spread.

For spiritual fulfilment perhaps consider a big move north. Pass the expense of Byron and onto a village called Maleny in Queensland. It is truly a place of great community and spirituality. Best google the place for the full run down.

If you do receive feedback from other forums please let us know.

Paul

PS I really enjoyed my short time in Melbourne, as you may have gathered from the article on the site! B)
