OK, where is everybody from the forum?
I'm still here, and I know Paul is. I must admit, I do not come on as much as I should, but when I do, I at least write something..........

C'mon people, lets get our act together, and get this site going again................

Can you hear the echo, the echo ??

Where are all the old-timers? Life's to busy to scribble these days I suppose. Pity.

Hiya

am still here. Not been in the forums for a while cos am getting soooo fed up not hearing anything - been trying to forget about Australia for a wee while.

Seems that the whole world sent thier visa applications in August and I think we must be at the end of the queue. They haven't even taken our money yet!!!

And its not like me to want to pay for anything.

Anybody been doing anything exciting?

Hello - yes we're still here!!!

Things hectic this end, we have finally sold the house :D :D :D :D :D !!! We have booked our flights and fly out on Xmas Day - arrival in Brisbane on 27th. Had a bit of a nightmare last night with arrival accommodation going wobbly and being cancelled but have now resolved this and have found new accommodation in Montville - seems like a good location for our first couple of weeks and only 25 mins drive from Caloundra which is ideally where we want to be.

Am drowing in a sea of paperwork and telephone calls at the moment!! Still it will be worth it all in the end.

Sorry to hear Alison that you are still waiting to hear back, we have some friends of ours who are in the same situation as you - so frustrating for you. It will happen though!!

Sorry just a quick e-mail, my baby is sleeping and so have to try and complete a million things before she wakes up again.

All the best everyone - would be nice to hear back.

We are the only ones.

It's a nightmare come true.

But, it can't be so. Because Pomona is celebrating with a Last Night at the Proms concert, an all British affair!

Here's what they say:

Saturday, December 15
What better way to celebrate Christmas than with the British tradition of Last Night of
the Proms?
There’s nothing like a bit of pomp and circumstance, flag waving and streamer throwing
to get you into the festive spirit.
Featuring the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra, this exciting event includes music
by Elgar and Suppe, music from Phantom of the Opera and Pirates of the Caribbean,
the Slaves’ Chorus from Nabucco, some Aussie standards and of course Pomp and
Circumstance and Rule Britannia. You might not recognise the names of the pieces but
you’re sure to know the tunes.
Special guests include tango dancers, a mediaeval ensemble and other fun surprises.
So wear a silly hat, bring your national flag and get set for a fantastic night of food and
entertainment. Doors and bar open at 6.30pm for a 7.30 start
Admission $30 includes light “British” refreshments at interval.
Bookings 5485 2330

Thanks to my ol' mate Bill for the info.

Go to http://www.majestic.spiderweb.com.au/majprogram.html for more info.

See, we're not alone, in a metaphysical sense. Nanoo nanoo. :ph43r:
