Hi all,
We were granted permanent residency, and hubby registered at WACOT as a teacher. Now there is still more packs of information to complete and submit to the DET. Thereafter you get an ID nr from DET, and only then can you access the DET website to apply for positions.

We are really hoping that we are early enough now, to get all this sorted and be able to apply for a teaching job in Jan 08! As we want to plan to relocate in Dec 07 or Jan 08 (as the schools only start 21 and 31 Jan08)... :o

Welcome Lizmar123! I believe Jo90 is a teacher and Airconkid has a contact in Melbourne. I'm sure they'd be happy to help out where/if they can and perhaps theres a few more teachers looking in.

I'd be interested in what made you decide to move to Perth. By all accounts its a lovely city.
